Mifune looked on with pride at the assembled forces of the land of iron. Mifune had spent the last three months gathering the army of iron. He would take them to the pest that'd been recking havoc on his country.
Mifune would kill the man with overwhelming force. Not only would it get rid of him but it would also show the other nations that the land of iron has not gotten soft in their time of peace. The beast had not been subtle in his movement. He was certainly laying waste to a nearby village. Mifune regretted the losses of the villagers but it was for the greater good. Mifune then gave the order for nearly 80,000 men to march.
Kenji was picking the human muscle from his teeth with a finger bone when he heard it. He heard his favorite sound in the world, the sound of an approaching battle. He ran and jumped onto the village wall. He saw the most beautiful sight, it was like a sea of armor and blades.
The land of iron had outdone itself this time. To deliver such a wonderful gift, Kenji didn't think it was his birthday. He ordered Uraume to only fight if she was attacked first before jumping right in to the coming army.
Some might wonder why Kenji was so confident. If he struggled even a little bit against the first high commander he fought why would he charge head first into 12 more high commanders, the greatest swordsman in the country, and tens of thousands of men. Kenji did it because the best teacher was the battle field and if there was any way to grow strong enough to face this army, it was to fight this army.
Kenji demolished the front line, they were weak and inexperienced. After carving through the rookies Kenji reached the first high commander. He was on a large horse welding a war hammer. He swung at Kenji later than he should have and missed him completely, instead he turned a soldier behind him into a pink paste. Kenji jumped up and shoved the commander from his horse. Kenji then made a hand sign and started to the chant.
"Scales of the dragon." He said in a calm tone, Kenji didn't pick what to say. The words just came to him as soon as he wanted to say them.
Every soldier in a 7 meter radius was cut to pieces in an instant, including the high commander. Kenji was given no reprieve however, as soon as the gap in the army was made it was filled with samurai that wanted nothing more than to cut off his head. For a moment Kenji thought he'd died and gone to heaven.
Kenji spent the next hour cleaving through the iron army. He killed thousands of soldiers and a half dozen high commanders before he finally came across the general of this sea of steel.
Kenji continued to cut down his enemies antell he found his next commander. This one was on the ground with a kodochi in hand. He met Kenjis advance with a slash of his sword. Kenji caught the blade in his mouth and bit down so hard the very high quality blade snapped. The surprised commander did not react in time to stop the very same blade from cut his throat open.
Mifune had underestimated his opponent but he was still confident in his victory. This battle would be a great loss for the land of iron but they would bounce back. It would take a while for the monster to die but Mifune and his army would see it done.
Mifune was near the rear of the army, giving out orders. That was intel he saw the man that he'd done all this to kill, and the reports did not do him justice. He cut a path through Mifunes army, leaving a bloody and gore filled land in his wake. It was clear that Sukuna was heading his way and Mifune would be ready for him.
Mifune drew his sword and toke up a stance that was often the last thing his opponents saw. The beast of a man with pink hair and four eyes showed no concern for Mifunes menacing figure. Instead he charged head first at him. Mifune blocked the first punch with the edge of his blade. Mifune was not surprised when the blade barely broke the skin. Mifune had read many reports on Sukuna's capabilities and knew his opponents strength.
Sukuna's other hand was not stopped like the first. His hand snaked past Mifunes guard and grabbed his shoulder. Mifune was suddenly hit by searing pain that he pushed back with experienced ease. Mifune broke away from Sukuna and gained distance. Mifune examined his shoulder while keeping Sukuna in his sights.
Mifune found that his shoulder was cut all over. The cuts were cleaner than any he'd ever made or received before. Mifune looked around to find that he and Sukuna were completely cut off from the rest of the iron army by a thick ice wall that enclosing them.
Mifune pulled himself from his surroundings and back to his opponent. Sukuna was still standing there, covered in blood and gut and spotting a gleeful smile. Suhuna suddenly charged at Mifune just like their first encounter. This time Mifune deflected the punch away from him and injured Sukuna across his chest with a shallow cut.
Sukuna back stepped but Mifune would not let him gain any room to breathe. He kept up with his opponent and rained down slash's and cuts onto Sukuna's body. Sukuna was a rather unskilled opponent, he knew no fighting style and simply relayed on his speed, strength, and durability to win him fights. Unfortunately for Sukuna, Mifune was only beat out in durability.
Mifune put this gap in skill to good use over the next quarter of an hour. Mifune was still hit by the mysterious cuts that seemed to just appear on his body. Mifune could see how Tamura and the other high commanders lost to this foe, but Mifune would not follow in their footsteps.
He proved this when, in the final clash of their battle, Mifune capitalized on one of Sukuna's mistakes and beheaded him. Instantly the surrounding soldiers cheered and howled in joy when the killer of tens of thousands of their brothers met his end. But Mifune did not feel any joy at the death, for something was wrong with the body.
The body did not bleed, it did not fall, and it did not stop fighting. For the first time in Mifunes life he was face to face with a headless man. The now headless Sukuna brought his hands together. To Mifunes surprise a large mouth appeared on Sukuna's stomach, and it started to chant.
"Scales of the dragon, recoil, twin meteors, dismantle." The demon said. Every soul on the battlefield was frozen in fear and shock, even Mifune.
Mifune was about to charge in order to finish him before he could finish his chanting and signing, but he was too late. Before Mifune knew it he and the 20,000 men behind him were cut in two.
On that day an unprecedented event took place. Nearly 50,000 trained soldiers ran in fear from a single man. Or in their words, an immortal demon. That was the day Ryomen Sukuna was born.
Sukuna realized something in the moment before the generals blade severed his head. He realized that, until then he hadn't truly felt anything. He was just feeling what his body felt, the small leftovers. In the very last moment before the steel reached his spine he changed that.
Sukuna know felt everything directly on his soul. The pain from the beheading hurt more than any other injury. The pleasure he felt from slaughtering the army was better than any other. Before, he was like an ant trying to comprehend written language. Now, not only did his body not take any emotion for itself, it also enhanced it. He was no longer Kenji, he was Sukuna, the immortal demon.
As Sukuna willed his body not to die and chased after the retreating cowards, he felt everything. Every kill felt better than the last. Every injury felt like he was being tossed into hell. Every drop of blood the stained his lips tasted like he was eating the greatest meal of his life.
The power that'd been so hard to control before was now as simple as breathing. He cut down hundreds of men on a whim and for the first time in his life he truly felt free. The freedom he claimed to have before was a pathetic sham in comparison to now.
Sukuna got his fill and he left a few thousand to spread his name far and wide. He turned to the corpse of the samurai general and approached it. Sukuna picked up the old man's sword and cut his head off with it. Sukuna then called over Uraume, she wasn't even meeting his eyes. She was looking toward the ground like she was not worthy of looking upon him. For the first time in Sukuna's life, he found something cute. He gave the head to his submissive servant and gave her orders to deliver it to the hokage of the hidden leaf village, personally.
Hiruzen was having quite the troublesome day already. Naruto had gotten into trouble with the villagers again and he'd been dealing with it most of the day. There were few things that were more annoying to deal with than that and one of said things had just burst through his office window.
ANBU swarmed the area, a few were died already and a few more were heavily damaged. Hiruzen easily dodged all attempts on his life, even in his old age.
"You are certainly strong, but not strong enough to defeat the hokage and I think you know it. What is it you wish to achieve here?" He asked the white haired woman.
They were both standing on a glacier of ice sticking out of the hokage tower. The woman seemed to have quite the powerful kekkei genkai. Hiruzen wondered what was in the box the woman was carrying and figured it was part of the reason she was here.
"I have come with a message and a present from my master, Ryomen Sukuna." She said with great reverence in her voice, like he would feel honored to receive to attention of her master. Hiruzen found the name familiar but couldn't quite place it.
"And what would this present be?" Hiruzen said, trying to get as much information from her as possible.
"This." She said as she through the box at Hiruzen. He caught it with easy and opened it, what he saw was a huge shock to the aging kage. He saw the severed head of Mifune, the general of the land of iron.
"The land of iron has been destroyed by my master and he will come for you and your people next, he would like a good fight though. So prepare yourself for the honor for dying by his hands." She said before she completely vanished with only the ice surrounding Hiruzen and an icy wind to prove she was ever there.
Hiruzen ordered for the ANBU to scour the village for her. He then ordered for Inoichi Yamanaka to be brought to him.
There was a secret and highly advanced technique used only by the Yamanaka clan heads and elders. It allowed the Yamanaka clan member to see the memories of the dead. So using it on the head of Mifune, Hiruzen found something quite shocking.
He shifted through the memories Inoichi had shared with him. He found a headless man defending an army of 80,000 trained samurai.
"Call for a meeting with all the village elders and the clan heads. We need to take this threat seriously." Hiruzen said. The last time he saw on man take down an army was when Minato had done it. But this was closer to the time Madara had done it.
