Welcome back to Elemental Crisis Book 1. Last time, Flash took Spyro and Cynder to STAR Labs to recover from their wounds, as well as send information to his old friend Cisco at ARGUS. Meanwhile, Spyro and Cynder meet the Chronicler in their injury induced unconsciousness and Ignitus informed them to find the Spectre, knowing he could help them recover that which they lost, whatever that means. Once they woke up, they told the Flash exactly who they needed to find, and Flash was taken slightly aback, but stated he knew who to call in order to find him. So, who is Flash talking about? Read on to discover...
(Our scene resumes in what looks like a warehouse that's recently been outfitted with computer equipment and a memorial for an archer in green. But the silence is soon disturbed as Flash dashes in, with Spyro and Cynder flying in about 5 minutes after him)
Spyro: How the heck are you that fast?!
Flash: It's a long story.
Cynder: Well whatever the story is, please note, super speed, we don't have it.
Flash: (Chuckling slightly because of the last time he heard that phrase) Note taken.
Spyro: (Looking around) What exactly is this place?
Flash: This is the newly established headquarters for a newly established group of people with the sole purpose of defending this pale blue dot we call home.
Cynder: (Admittedly confused) In a way we can understand, please?
Flash: This is the Headquarters for what we call... The League. (Nothing happens) I said... The League! (Still nothing happens) Guys come on, I thought we went over this choreography.
(At this point, whoever Flash is addressing appears to get the message and just like that six more figures populate the room: The Man of Steel, Superman. The Girl of Tomorrow, Supergirl. The Captain of the Waverider, White Canary. The Sworn Enemy of the 100, Black Lightning. The Manhunter from Mars, J'onn J'onnz. And the Caped Crusader, Batwoman.)
White Canary: I'm pretty sure we all agreed the choreographed entrance was dumb.
Black Lightning: I know we did.
Flash: Regardless, these are the two I told all of you about.
Martian Manhunter: I wasn't aware there were dragons native to this world
Supergirl: And even if you weren't, Alex hasn't reported anything strange at the DEO.
Flash: That's because they're not from this world. This universe really.
Superman: Seriously? I thought the last Crisis sorted this multiverse thing out.
Batwoman: I'm sorry, you're going to have to fill me in. What are we talking about?
Flash: (Realizes this isn't the Batwoman he remembers) You must be the new Batwoman. Ryan was it?
Batwoman: That's me alright, I guess Kate told you everything.
White Canary: She definitely did. Welcome to the team, by the way.
Batwoman: Thanks. Now what's all this about a multiverse?
Black Lightning: I'll get you caught up. Don't sweat it, I was the rookie last year.
Supergirl: So we've got dragons hopping universes now. What's going on with you two?
Superman: And who are you anyways?
Spyro: (Realizing they never introduced themselves) Oh, do forgive us. It's been a weird series of events. My name is Spyro.
Cynder: And I am Cynder.
Superman: Wait. You mean, like, the video game characters?
Spyro: Video what?
Flash: Guess our universes are on different technical levels.
Superman: This is strange. Just the other day one of my sons is showing me how to play a Spyro game, and now I'm meeting the real thing? Jon is going to love this story.
Supergirl: Speaking of stories, we should probably hear theirs.
Flash: Good point. All I know about you is that you fell out of a purple Breach in the sky. What happened to send you in that direction?
Cynder: Like we said, it's a long series of events, so you might want to sit down.
(And as Spyro and Cynder are about to begin their tale, our tale ends for today)
And that looks like a good place to end off for now. Next time, Spyro and Cynder finally reveal what's happened to them. But for now, The League is finally here. And yes, I am using the Ryan Wilder version of Batwoman, since she would be the active Batwoman at the time I'm placing this. Though, her predecessor has a role to play. More on that later. I have no idea if this version of Batwoman interacted with the League, but since I need a Batwoman for this, I just decided to make this the first time she was at an official League meeting. I hope that works. Anyways, what exactly brought Spyro and Cynder into this universe? Tune in next time to definitely find out! Same time... same channel!
