The first thing we did once we left Mama Odie's was finding a riverboat, which we climbed aboard in secrecy.

"You sure about this, Lis?" asked Lynn.

"Unless my calculations are proven to be incorrect." replied Lisa. "This riverboat should take us to New Orleans in time for Mardi Gras by..."

"Hunters! At eight o'clock!" Louis exclaimed, pointing at three gun-holding shadows.

"How can you possibly tell the..." Lisa said before she was pulled over by Lana, hiding by the pipe with the rest of us while Louis hold still with Luna on top of him.

"Man, that is one killer-diller costume!"

On hearing that, Louis opened his eyes to see that the three hunters were actually musicians wearing animal costumes, one of them as an aardvark asking. "Hey, yo, gator, can you blow that horn?"

Louis did in response.

"Come on. Sit in with us! We're playing Mardi Gras." said the musician.

As he and the others left, Louis sighed with relief, then squealed.

"Let's rock this boat, Lou!" said Luna, who played her ukulele twig while Louis played his trumpet, following the musicians.

"We can't miss this!" Ray said to us. "Luna and Louis are finally playing with the big boys!"

As we Louds followed Ray, Tiana asked. "Naveen, you coming?"

"Oh! I'll...I'll catch up with you later." replied Naveen.

Tiana smiled, then hopped away.

"Oh, this is totes exciting." Leni said, running past Naveen with her arms full of feathers, beads, and bottle wires.

Naveen noticed some leftover beads and wire.

By sundown, Naveen placed a ring, which he made using a white bead and some wire, inside a walnut, then looked up at the sky, saying. "Oh, Evangeline. Why can't I just look Tiana in the eye and say, 'I will do whatever it takes to make all your dreams come true because...because I love you?'"

Little did he know that Lori, Leni and Ray were watching.

"OMGosh!" Leni said in shock.

"Ya darn tootin' OMGosh!" Ray agreed. "Nobody make goggly-eyes at my girl!"

He flew over to Naveen. "Put 'em up, lover boy! I oughta make shoes out of you!"

Naveen held him back, saying. "No, no, Ray! It's Tiana I'm in love with, not Evangeline!"

Ray and Lori gasped while Leni screamed with happiness, saying. "I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!"

"You come here, you." Ray said, kissing Naveen's cheek while Leni and Lori hugged him.

"And I can no longer marry Miss Charlotte LaBouff." Naveen exclaimed.

"You're literally gonna be so happy together!" said Lori.

"I'll find another way to get Tiana a restaurant." Naveen went on.

"You're gonna have the cutest little tadpoles!" said Ray.

"I'll get a job." Naveen said. "Maybe two. Maybe three."

"Tiana's gonna be so surprised when I tell her." Leni said, about to hop in a hurry, but Naveen held her back, saying. "No, no, no, Leni. I'll tell Tiana myself. Alone."

"Right." Lori said, getting the message.

"You sly frog, you!" laughed Ray.

Night has already fallen when the riverboat chugged towards New Orleans.

"Where you taking me?" Tiana asked as she followed Naveen to the top of the boat, where he replied. "Oh, I just wanted to show you a little something to celebrate our last night together as frogs."

Tiana stared at awe at a makeshift table for two.

"Oh, Naveen You did all this for me?" she asked, stifling a laugh when she saw Naveen wearing a bow.

Is it too much?" Naveen asked nervously, then cleared his throat. "Thank you, Beaux."

"I thought it was a nice touch." Beaux said as he flew away.

"Pay no attention to that." Naveen said to Tiana. "Please, please, sit down."

Once Tiana had sat, Naveen placed a tray on the little table.

"What's this?" asked Tiana.

"Ta-da!" Naveen exclaimed, removing the cover to revealing some sliced fruit.

"You minced." Tiana said with amazement.

"I did!" Naveen replied ecstatically. "You've had quite an influence on me, which is amazing because I have dated thousands of women and..."

He stopped himself upon seeing Tiana frown.

"Uh, no, like two...three...just other women." Naveen said, trying to reach for the walnut that contained the ring. "And anyway, listen. You could not be more different, you know? You are...you are practically one of the guys. No, no, no, that is not what I meant. Let me start again. I..."

As Naveen placed his hand down, the table toppled spilling the minced fruit all over him.

"I'm not myself tonight." he said, before noticing Tiana eyeing the walnut.

"Tiana!" he shouted before she could reach for it. "Sorry if that was loud.

Naveen sighed with embarrassment. "This is a disaster."

"No. It's cute." said Tiana.

Naveen chuckled softly, then decided to get to the point. "Tiana, I..."

"Oh, look at this!" Tiana interrupted, staring at the sugar mill.

"Your restaurant?" presumed Naveen.

"Oh, can't you just picture it?" said Tiana. "All lit up for the 4th of July."

"Yes. Jazz pouring out of every window!" thought Naveen.

"It should be elegant."

"But you got to keep it loose, though. Got to let it swing."

"You know a good ukulele player?" asked Tiana.

"Really? You'd let me perform?" Naveen asked back.

"I'll talk to the owner." replied Tiana. "Owner says yes!"

"Achidanza!" exclaimed Naveen.

"Folks are gonna be coming together from all walks of life just to get a taste of our food." Tiana said, resting by Naveen's shoulders.

"Our food?" Naveen thought, opening the walnut.

"Huh? Oh! Oh, no. My...my daddy." explained Tiana. "We always wanted to open this restaurant. He died before he could see it happen. But with your help, our dream is finally coming true.

"When, tomorrow?" asked Naveen.

"If I don't deliver that money by Wednesday, I could lose this place forever." said Tiana.

Naveen felt depressed at what he was hearing. He didn't have the money that could help Tiana get the restaurant of her dreams...unless he married Charlotte.

With a sigh, Naveen said. "Tiana, I love..."

He stopped himself for a minute, closing the walnut, then went on to say. "...the way you light up when you talk about your dream. A dream that is so beautiful, I...whatever it takes, I will do everything I can to make that happen."

Once Naveen had spoken, there was a loud blast from the boat's whistle.

"Port of New Orleans, all ashore!" hollered the captain.

"I'll...I'll meet you down at the docks." Naveen said, walking away from Tiana with the walnut in his hand.

Tiana watched him go, then looked up at the night sky.

"Evangeline, I...I've always been so sure about what I wanted, but now I...what do I do? Please tell me."

Meanwhile, one of Dr. Facilier's shadows had found Naveen and carried him away.
