"Prince Naveen, darling." Charlotte called, knocking on the guest house door. "You better hurry up. Don't wanna be late for our Mardi Gras wedding."

"Um...getting dressed!" Lawrence said from inside. "Just a few more minutes, my dearest heart."

"Okay, honey lamb. We'll be waiting in the Packard." Charlotte said sweetly, then shouted. "Daddy, start the car!"

Once he peeked through the keyhole, seeing her leave, Lawrence panicked. "Oh, my heavens, I'm doomed!"

In the shadows, Dr. Facilier flicked one of his cards at him, saying. "You're doomed? How do you think I feel? I mean, how hard is it to find..."

Suddenly, a large rumble sounded. Three of the shadows burst out of the fireplace, one of them holding Naveen, who was flung into Dr. Facilier's hat.

"Ah, well done, my friends. And with a split second to spare." Dr. Facilier snickered as he pulled Naveen from his hat. "Resume your search for the Louds. They're bound to be somewhere during Mardi Gras time."

The shadows gave him a salute, then disappeared.

"You leave the Louds out of this, you..." Naveen said when he saw...

"Lawrence?!"

...who chortled while holding up the talisman. "Hold still now, Your Eminence."

Once the boat had docked, everyone boarded out, chanting "Mardi Gras! Mardi Gras!"

We Louds, Hops and Ray watched as Luna and Louis led the costumed musicians out of the boat, then went down to meet up with Tiana.

"Hey, there, Chère. Check out what Leni made for Mardi Gras." Ray said, pointing at his glasses.

With the material she found, Leni made us necklaces, party glasses, masks, and a crown fit for Lola.

"I have these made for you too." Leni said, handing Tiana her own pair of Mardi Gras glasses. "And they are totes your color."

"Uh, thanks, Leni." Tiana said, taking the glasses. "Have you seen Naveen?"

"Don't leave us in literal suspense, Tiana." said Lori. "Let's see that ring."

"What are you talking about?" asked Tiana.

Lori, Leni and Ray's smiled dropped when they learned that Naveen didn't tell her

"Well, if he didn't say nothing, we ain't gonna say nothing." said Ray. "Heck, Ol' Ray's sealed up tight as a drum. You ain't getting nothing out of me. Nope."

Seeing that Leni was trying to keep her mouth shut, Tiana asked. "You all right there, Leni?"

"Naveen wants to marry you, not Charlotte." Leni blurted out. "Soon as he gets himself kissed and we're human again, he's gonna find a job to get you that restaurant and..."

She covered her mouth, then asked. "I said too much, didn't I?"

"You said just enough, Leni!" Tiana said as she hugged her, then looked up at the sky. "Thank you, Evangeline."

She put her glasses on, then hopped towards the already-swinging Mardi Gras parade.

"Woo-woo! Mardi Gras, here we come, baby!" exclaimed Lynn as we followed after Tiana, who said. "So, that's what all that fumbling was about! He was trying to propose! And here I thought all he wanted was to marry a rich girl!"

"Tiana, slow down, will you?" Luan called out. "We may be equal hoppers, but we can't hop as fast as you."

Tiana climbed up a street sign to get a good view of the parade, saying. "You just keep your eyes out for the biggest, gaudiest float with a Mardi Gras princess about to kiss herself a...a frog."

We Louds and Hops climbed up the sign to see a cake float, where Mr. LaBouff sat on his throne, Mom and Dad standing beside him, and Charlotte & Naveen standing at the center of the cake as the minister said. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here tonight in this fine celebration to join together this prince and this young woman in holy matrimony."

"Oh, no." whispered Leni.

"This...this can't be right." said Lori.

"But...how y'all can still be bunnies and a..." Ray said before seeing that Tiana was gone, having left her party glasses behind.

"Where'd she go?" I asked.

"I know where I'd go if I was Lucy." said Lynn.

We Louds, Hops and Ray went to the Lafayette Cemetery, finding Tiana sulking by one of the crypts.

"There...there has to be some sort of mistake." I said.

"The only mistake I ever made was thinking he loved me back." replied Tiana.

"But...your restaurant." said Lori.

"Yeah, Naveen said he was going to help get it for you." explained Leni.

"Just because you wish for something doesn't make it true." said Tiana.

"Oh, don't say that, honey." assured Ray. "If Evangeline was here for real, she'd say..."

"Evangeline is nothing but a star, Ray! A big ball of hot air a million miles from here!" snapped Tiana. "Open your eyes now...before you get hurt."

We watched her go, then exchanged our sad faces at each other while Lana looked up at Evangeline.

Feeling a spark of determination inside her, she said. "Come on, Hops."

"Lana, where are you going?" asked Lori.

"Something doesn't feel right." Lana replied as she got on Hops. "And I'm going back to find some proof."

As we watched them hop away, Ray said to the rest of us. "I'll...uh...make sure they get there okay."
