Weeks went by as everyone prepared for their trip to Serene Isles. Mario and his friends were almost finished packing their suitcases while Bowser and his family were still training. Roy and his cousin Alex were in the gym using the punching bags. After a few more punches, Roy decided to take a break. He sat down and wiped the sweat off of his forehead. Then, he felt his phone vibrating. He saw that Bowser sent a message to everyone.
"Alright everyone! Tomorrow is the big day! We're gonna invade Serene Isles!" The message said. Everyone either gave the message a thumbs up or replied with an "Ok".
Alex sighed as she sat next to Roy on the bench. She took a gulp of her water and sat the bottle next to her.
"So, I guess we're gonna be really busy tomorrow. Heh. Something tells me the guards at the castle will be pretty weak." Alex said.
"Yeah..." Roy said, making his younger cousin raise an eyebrow.
"You ok, Roy?" She asked. Roy sighed and looked at her.
"I'm fine. It's just...Kacey and her friends are going to Serene Isles too. I dunno when though." He replied.
"Ah I see. Do you know the exact day that they're heading there?" Alex asked. Roy shook his head. She patted him on the back and smirked.
"Hey. Don't worry about it. Maybe they're gonna be there next week or something." Then, Roy's phone vibrated again. He opened the message to see that Jasmine sent a message in a group chat with him, Ludwig, and Kacey.
"We're going to Serene Isles tomorrow!" Jasmine's message said.
"I'm so excited!" Kacey replied back.
"Oh god..." Roy said and showed Alex the messages.
"Dang. I don't think Uncle Bowser will change his mind or wait a week or two later." Alex replied.
"They're gonna be really mad when they see us tomorrow..." Roy mumbled.
"This is so exciting!" Daisy cheered. It was the next day and everyone arrived at the Mushroom Kingdom airport.
"I know! This is gonna be so much fun!" Peach replied as they entered the plane. Everyone took their seats and waited for the plane to take off. Once it did, everyone either talked or stared out of the window.
"Wow! Look at the view!" Kacey exclaimed.
"It's amazing!" Daisy added.
"What should we do first when we get there?" Mario asked.
"Oh! I'd love to try surfing!" Jasmine said.
"We could go swimming too!" Kayden replied.
"There's a water park there. That'd be fun!" Daisy smiled.
"Guys. I think we should check into a hotel first before we do anything else." Peach giggled.
"Hahaha! You're right, Peach. As soon as we land, we can go to the nearest hotel." Mario replied.
A few hours passed since the plane first took off. Then, Peach gasped as she looked out of the window as the plane began to land.
"We're here!" She exclaimed. Once the plane landed, everyone grabbed their things and walked out of the plane.
Everyone gasped and looked around in amazement at the beautiful and sunny island. There were so many palm trees on the beach and the ocean looked cool and serene. Many islanders and tourists were having fun playing volleyball or swimming. Children were drawing in the sand and running around the beach. Mario looked at everyone and smiled.
"Alright guys. Let's go to a hotel." Everyone nodded and they followed Mario towards the buildings.
As they walked, Mario stopped when he heard music playing.
"What is it, Mario?" Peach asked.
"What's that music? It sounds great!" Everyone looked around until they saw a crowd surrounding a few people. They walked over to get a closer look. They saw a Pianta dancing with two people. The boy had brown skin, brown eyes, a black Afro, and wore a light blue camp shirt with sun designs on it, a white shirt underneath, white shorts, and white shoes.
The girl dancing in between the boy and Pianta stuck out to them. She had brown skin, blue eyes, and wore a gold crown on her head with two pearls on each side and a seashell in the middle of it, pearl earrings, and a purple dress with pearls on it and a seashell brooch. Her black hair was styled into long twists coming down to her back.
"Wow! Who is she?" Kayden wondered.
"Her? That's Princess Summer. She's the ruler of this kingdom!" A woman standing near them, replied.
"They're amazing!" Daisy said as she watched them dance. Soon, the music ended and the three stopped dancing. Everyone clapped and cheered.
"Thanks for dancing with us! You're great!" The princess said to the Pianta. She smiled at everyone in the crowd. Then, she gasped softly when she saw a few new people in the audience. She took the boy's hand and the crowd moved out of the way for them to get passed. Soon, the two were in front of Mario and the others.
"A-Are you...The Mario Bros? And Princesses Peach and Daisy?" She asked.
"Yep! That's us! And these are our friends, Jasmine, Kacey, and Kayden." Mario said.
"Hello! I'm Princess Summer and this is my boyfriend, Kai! It's very nice to meet you!" Summer smiled and curtsied.
"Wow! You look so young!" Peach exclaimed.
"Yeah! Are you around our age?" Jasmine asked.
"Kai and I are 17." Summer giggled.
"Woah! So is my big brother Kayden! I'm 16 and Jasmine's 18!" Kacey explained.
"Oh that's cool!" Kai replied.
"Wow! Your hair is gorgeous!" Jasmine said.
"Thank you! So is yours!" Summer replied.
"So, are you guys here for a visit?" Kai asked.
"We're actually here on a vacation. We were on our way to check into a hotel." Peach explained.
"A hotel? Oh no no no! Our hotels are very nice, but the famous Super Mario Bros and their friends shouldn't stay there! No, you guys should stay at my castle!" Summer said.
"Oh are you sure?" Peach asked.
"I insist! There's plenty of room for you all!" Summer grinned.
"Well, thank you so much!" Peach replied.
"Come on! I'll take you there!" Everyone then followed the princess to her castle.
