As Percy whistled, the black furred pegasus swopped down and landed next to Nico and Percy, Percy got on and helped Nico up. As they soared in the sky back to the camp, they could hear gunshots, then gunshots missed them but were getting closer to them. As Blackjack started to angle down and lower himself to land, a 50. Cal bullet from a sniper, hit Percy's pet in the neck, as the pegasus was hit, they fell from 20 ft, as the two demigods hit the ground they rolled and ended up with a few bruises.
Percy ran over and cradled Blackjack, "I'm so sorry." He started to sob, as he did Nico, Thalia and Piper went to comfort their friend. Percy stood up, "I am going to slaughter those mortals, they will be begging to find a god if they don't have one." Percy's tone contained pure anger, his eyes seemed to burn with anger.
He got up and grabbed his mortal guns, "I'm raiding that camp with or without you all." Nico grabbed his swords and his guns so did Thalia, the three left Camp Jupiter as they left, Nico shadow travelled the three to the mortal camp, as they entered, they had to take cover as they were being shot at, Nico unslung his M16 and started to shoot as he did that Thalia was using her lighting powers to strike down some enemies, whereas Percy had grabbed a baseball bat and was using his powers to mist travel and use the bat to club the enemies over the head. Once the three were done, the three started to loot the camp, then they stumbled over a bunker and went in, as they did they found chemicals and medical supplies they also found a file with every demigods' mug shot and name, "WHAT IN HADES UNDERPANTS!" She screamed, Percy grabbed it, and took hold of his cousins shoulders and mist travelled them back to their camp.
-Flashback, Olympus, Atlantis and the Underworld —
It was the 1st day of the outbreak, the minute Zeus had heard about it, he called for a meeting of every god and goddess, minor, major and Olympian, this also included the Roman gods and goddess that didn't have a Greek counterparts of sorts like Janus. Zeus looked at them "Everyone! As of now, Olympus is officially on lockdown, due to the human virus that is mutating them." The gods started to complain, Hades and Poseidon flashed away back to their domains, as they needed to keep the order in them.
Zeus looked around, he sighed as he would have to spend more time with Hera. Zeus had ordered Apollo to study the virus, Artemis was complaining because of her hunt and Mr D banned had been lifted so she was slouched in his throne and started to drink.
As Poseidon flashed back to his throne room, he had ordered that all gates into the city be shut and guarded from the inside, he told his wife and Triton what Zeus had said to the gods.
As Hades, reappeared into his palace, he told Persephone what her father had said, he grumbled about this meant the underworld would be flooded with souls and that Charon would complain about it
-End Flashback, current day Camp Jupiter—

As they heard the scream, everyone gathered at the gate, the guard were using the LMGS and ARs to slaughter the swarm that was at it. As the swarmers were killed, Frank and Piper were killing the swarmers with their weapons, however as they did, the noise just brought more down on them, as they started to get to the gate, Frank was over run, he pushed Hazel in. As Hazel, stumbled into the camp, Frank had become overrun, the swarm was too much for him, they tore Frank to pieces bit by bit. His screams could be heard for miles. All the campers had seen it as well as heard the son of Mars screams. Everybody had grimaced at the scene that unfolded in front of them, as Leo appeared on the guard tower he summoned a fire ball and made swarmers in the area weaker, so the guards started to lay down more fire, killing all the freaks. Once, all they were dead, they rushed out to get Franks body parts, they brought it back into the camp. The demigods had made a raft and sent his body out into the lake, before they had lit an arrow on fire and burned his body, everyone had a turn speaking about him. He had touched everyone's hearts as a former praetor before the virus had changed the world everyone knew. Everyone took it to heart especially the remaining of the seven, Nico and Reyna. The demigoddess that sent the flaming arrow out, was Hazel. As she did, she had tears form in her eyes, she would miss him the most.
As the sun rose in the morning, the demigods of the camp had started to place more traps, the demigods were training harder than before and the farms were successful. It was Percy's time to tend to the farms with Nico and Thalia, as the three got there, Percy used his powers over water, to wash the crop up and as they planted the new seeds, he used his power again to make sure the plants were feed. They had completed the days' task in 2 hours, so the three of them took the crops to the kitchen, then went to train with their demigod's weapons. Nico and Percy would duel first. They went and got their armour on, Nico unsheathed his sword and Percy uncapped the pen and Riptide sprang into action.
The two circled around each other, Nico made a quick lunge and Percy managed to side step to the left, and sent his own quick jab, which hit Nico's left shoulder, as this happened, Thalia decided to jump in, she was already in her armour. She extended her mace can out and it formed into her spear, she hit the bracelet on her wrist and said "Aegis" and the replica of Aegis appeared. The daughter of Zeus made a lunge at Nico with her spear, the son of Hades managed to deflect the attack and pressed an attack harder.
After 2 hours of fighting, Nico had been knocked out of the fight by Percy, so it was just Thalia and Percy fighting, Thalia kept sending lighting at Percy. He managed to roll out most of the time, a few hitting him, he would send streams of water at her every so often, he got the upper hand as Thalia tried to summon a powerful bolt, Percy managed to knock her over, he put Riptide to her neck, "Yield Thals." Thalia rolled her eyes, "I yield Seaweed Brain." Percy gave her a hand up, the three started to go back to their cabins so they could shower as they had duelled for 2 and a half hours in total.
Percy finished showering, so did Nico. They climbed into bed however, after an hour before they could sleep, Nico climbed into Percy's bed and the two unconsciously cuddled each other. Percy was the big spoon; Nico was the small spoon. The two demigods smiled in their sleep as they felt each other's warmth. It was the first night in a long time, that Percy didn't have a nightmare about his time in the pit, or the death of Annabeth.
