hello everyone! This fic takes place right after the ending of Nullified, which is the third book in The Nether Queen series by FirstFandomFangirl, which you can find in my favorites list on my profile. I HIGHLY suggest you read them before you start this, or you're not going to understand anything that's going on. But if you have read that series, then by all means, enjoy!
The plains biome was as peaceful as it could be. The sun shone overhead, and animals milled about, eating grass and making ambient noises. A bee popped out of a hive and flew over to a flower. A light breeze blew through the grass and rustled the leaves of the lone oak tree. A forest was visible in one direction, but the rest was endless flat plains.
The newest addition of the field was not nearly as peaceful as his surroundings.
Null was literally shaking with rage. He whirled around, taking in his surroundings. He had no idea where he was, but he could tell he was very far from the battle. Not that he cared right now; his mind was so clouded with fury that his thoughts were spinning circles.
HE. WOULD. KILL. HIM. Null would SLAUGHTER that hacker for what he did. How DARE he strip Null of his powers and turn him into this weak, pathetic player!? Didn't he know that Null was the most powerful being in the world!? That the mobs obeyed him and the very code of the game bent to his will!?
Oh, he would KILL him. That would remind the hacker of how powerful he was.
Null opened his inventory to grab his command block, only to find his inventory empty. His sword, his command block, and a few other items were completely gone. The hacker's work, no doubt, but enraging beyond comprehension. He screamed at the sky in sheer fury.
He'd kill him. He'd kill him. He'd kill him.
Null looked around the field. Without his powers, he truly had no idea what to do with himself. He was most likely thousands of blocks away from the battle and he had no way to teleport back. He was stranded out here in the middle of nowhere with absolutely nothing. Nothing but his burning hatred for every block, creature, and person in this world.
Null stared at his own hands. His fingers were trembling with his uncontrollable fury. He should have been looking at his shadowy black skin, but instead his hands were a normal skin tone. Normal. That was not a word that should be used to describe Null. He was powerful, practically a god in this world! His appearance struck fear in the hearts of his enemies! But all of that was gone now. Normal. Null sneered at the very thought.
He'd kill him. Null would kill that hacker.
With no real plan, Null just started walking. His mind was too fogged to think of a reason to, but he couldn't stand here doing nothing. He needed to move. He needed to do something with his hands and feet. Normally, this would involve mindlessly killing things, but there was nothing within arm's grasp for him to strangle. There was a cow about fifty blocks away, but it was far too much effort for Null to chase after it and kill it with his bare hands. He should have just been able to type a command and kill every cow in the entire world, but not anymore.
Normal. Harmless. A player. The hacker's voice echoed through his head.
He'd kill him. He'd kill him. He'd kill him.
Null's legs moved robotically. He just picked a random direction and walked mindlessly. His fists clenched and unclenched as he did so to give his hands something to do.
A player. Ugh, just thinking the word made Null's blood pressure spike. How DARE he be degraded to such a lowly creature. Players were powerless, basically slaves to the world. They were forced to work to survive, instead of having Null's natural advantage of commands. And now that was him!? He'd have to work to… SURVIVE!? Absolutely not. Null would simply not stand for this. He would find that hacker and he would fix what he changed. Once that was done, Null would make his death as long and as painful as possible.
Null entered an oak forest, but after a while the trees blended into birch. At this point, the sun was quickly dropping towards the horizon, but Null really didn't care. He barely even noticed the setting sun. He was too busy trying to figure out how long it would take for him to walk back to the battlefield and find the hacker.
Darkness finally descended on the forest and the first of the mobs began to spawn. Null paid them no attention. After all, he had complete control over every single one. None of them would bother him in his mission for revenge.
Suddenly, Null yelped in surprise and pain as he was shot in the back. He whirled around to see a skeleton standing a little way behind him, already loading another arrow into its bow. A zombie stumbled out of the trees and reached for Null with outstretched arms.
"What do you think you're doing!?" Null demanded. His words went unheard as the mobs kept approaching. The skeleton fired again, but this time it missed. The arrow sailed uncomfortably close to Null's ear, though. They were actually trying to kill him. "Didn't you hear me!? I am Null, your lord and master! I order you to stop!" The zombie swung at him, but he dodged the blow and punched the undead fiend right in the jaw. The zombie moaned in pain and stumbled back from the hit, but it wasn't done yet.
Null was done with these pathetic creatures. He went to type a command, but nothing happened. Oh right. He was a player now.
And mobs kill players.
The zombie swung again and hit Null hard in the chest. He let out a small "oof" but didn't hesitate to kick the creature back. The skeleton fired again, but the arrow hit the zombie. Predictably, the undead turned around and started attacking the skeleton. Another zombie came at Null, but he shoved it to the ground and started punching it in the face, over and over again. Each hit was harder than the last and Null's expression was contorted into one of sheer rage.
He was not powerless. The hacker did this to him to take away the threat he posed, but Null would always be a threat, no matter what. Until he finally exacted his revenge against his enemies, he would forever be a threat. He was dangerous. He WAS dangerous. He was.
The zombie disappeared under Null, leaving a few XP orbs and a piece of rotten flesh. Null hadn't been paying attention to what he was doing to that zombie. His knuckles were now bruised and his face was splattered with brown, dead blood. He stood up, wiping off some of the blood on his face. His hands were shaking and his breathing was heavy with adrenaline. He was going to destroy EVERYTHING that crossed his path.
A creeper scuttled out of the darkness. Its cold, black eyes met his and his hands curled into fists. The monster confidently strutted up to him and started flashing, warning of an explosion. Null punched it back, but it didn't fall back far enough for Null to be safe from the explosion. Unfortunately, he realized this a few seconds too late.
The creeper blew up, sending Null flying back into a tree. His head slammed hard into the wood and stars swam through his vision. He struggled to his feet, but the ground was spinning under his feet. He found himself on his hands and knees.
The night was growing darker and more mobs were spawning. Another skeleton shot Null in the back, taking another large chunk of his health. He was going to die if he didn't do something about his health, but there was nothing he COULD do. He had nothing, no potions or commands, that could heal him.
Null tried to stand up, but a spider suddenly bit into his leg. He screeched in pain and tried to kick off the arachnid. Its fangs just dug deeper into his flesh.
He was going to die. Null was actually going to die. The same mobs he once ruled and commanded were going to slaughter him like he was nothing more than a powerless, pathetic player. He was NOT a player, no matter what that hacker did to his code. He is and would always be Null, the most dangerous being in all of Minecraft. Nobody could take that away from him!
The skeleton fired again, killing Null.
