Catch & Release III – Building A Better Future

By Juliette Lyst

Revelations

"I can't believe it," Dawn muttered, wide-eyed. She never thought they would ever find 'Tomorrow,' but it seemed like they had. And she was wide awake for it. As the rest of the family started running—all to bite into and eat whatever they wanted, she plucked a massive strawberry off the stem and followed the path she'd seen the cat travel in.

There was no need for her to stick around… especially if this massive wall was all around them. She recognized it for what it was, but had no clue why it was there. Maybe there are different people here? It would make sense after all. Guy had mentioned that the food grew in straight rows.

Dawn knew that food didn't do that normally…

She bit into the strawberry while she walked, stunned by how good it tasted. "Mmm!" This is so much better than what's out there! She was barely done swallowing the first bite before she took another one. She couldn't help herself. It was all so good!

After about ten minutes of walking, she found the macawnivore, seated and drinking placidly from a pool. Staring at it, she rubbed her eyes. There was something different about this place. Just like the food, the body of water didn't look like it happened without outside influence.

Hearing rustling, Chunky looked over. Once he saw it was Dawn, he relaxed and resumed drinking.

Lowering herself to the soft ground, she leaned against the cat's right paw as he drank. It was peaceful here. Strange too… like a little oasis in the middle of nowhere. Yawning after she finished the strawberry, the brunette moved away from Chunky a little, curling up for a nap.

The cat let out a little moan, settling down to catch some sleep as well. He was relieved, after having to travel so far. The aptly named 'Death Cat' had been able to feed himself once they were in areas where there was something to catch for all of them. Lately though, he'd had to struggle through hunger, thirst and being pushed to keep at a steady run… uncomfortable the entire time.

While he was hungry, the first priority he chose to address was the thirst. It was more painful than his hunger.

Some Time Later…

Sleeping deeply, both Dawn and Chunky were awoken suddenly by the most horrific scream they'd ever heard.

"Uhh…. Hmm?" Dawn grumbled, at first confused at how her sleep was broken.

The screaming continued though, and she looked at the cat. All she could think about was her family.

They didn't sound like that though…

Chunky laid down so she could climb on his back, and then he was off at a fast run.

Grunting a little, Dawn hung on to handfuls of the big cat's fur, willing herself to not be dislodged. This must be why Guy was so worn after his investigation, she thought, alarmed.

Fortunately, the cat's quick and agile run stopped a few minutes later. He was a short distance from the Croods. Cautious by nature, the cat didn't run headlong into what might be a dangerous situation.

Exhaling slowly, Dawn carefully climbed off the big cat's back.

"… Cave people…" an older man's voice spoke.

Dawn frowned, seeing them scrambling to get out of some sort of green netting. What was that? she wondered.

The 'disguises' were then removed and her lips parted in surprise. Moving closer, she peeked at the cat briefly, noticing that he didn't seem as apprehensive.

"We…" the older man stated, pulling his mouth open wide. "Happy… Meet…. You!" Then, he smacked his hands together.

The older woman with him joined. "In hearts…"

Both of them spoke together. "Much… joy!"

Dawn was able to hear Ugga's response, not liking how the older couple had treated her new family.

Yawning, she missed a snippet of the conversation before she reached Guy. She ducked behind him, wary… her hand on one of his shoulders.

"Hey Dawn," he spoke softly, recognizing her touch.

"… the Croods," Grug spoke, trying to restrain his irritation over the disrespect that was displayed towards his family. "And this—" … the family parted to reveal Guy. "Is—"

"Guy?!"

Grug was caught off guard at their reactions.

The young man's eyes widened. "Mister and Missus Betterman?"

"Uhh…" Dawn swallowed hard. Is… are they… her mind was struggling to string together what was happening.

Glancing to Dawn, Guy placed a hand in the center of her back and gently pushed her toward them.

Missus Betterman's mouth dropped open and tears filled her eyes. "Dawn!"

"Dawn!" Mister Betterman exclaimed.

Seeing both of her parents, frozen in shock at the sight of her, the young brunette was about to say something, but felt dizzy—her vision growing dark at the edges.

Guy noticed when she faltered and began falling. Springing into action immediately, he caught her before she hit the ground. "Dawn?" the young man whispered her name softly, his heart hammering away in his chest. Seeing the rise and fall of her chest, he let out a silent sigh. "I think she fainted," he stated, once he was certain his voice was steady enough.

"I thinkso too," the older man agreed.

The older woman reached out one hand toward Dawn, but drew back, unsure.

"She needs to lie down… Come on, son," Mister Betterman spoke, offering a smile.

Guy easily agreed and followed the Bettermans, however there was some reluctance on the Crood's end.

The latter had nowhere else to go though, so they decided to go along too.

Ugga's eyes were wide the entire walk, especially impressed at the sight of the "Betterman Way" to travel to the top of their tree.

Once they were at the top, the older woman addressed Guy. "Let me show you where you can put her down to rest."

The older man grinned. "As our guests, all of you will have your own separate rooms."

"What's a room?" Eep asked.

"What's a separate?" Thunk asked, excited. All he heard was 'you will have.'

Guy smiled at that and quietly followed Missus Betterman.

Mid Afternoon

Groaning slightly, Dawn's eyes fluttered open. The first thing she saw was an unfamiliar sky. "What?" she managed, reaching up at it.

"You're awake!" Guy exclaimed, popping his head right in front of Dawn.

"Guy?" She rubbed her eyes. "Why does the sky look like that?"

"It's not the sky," he replied, smiling. Carefully helping her sit up, he waved to the area they were in. "This is your room," he explained.

"My room?" she asked, brows furrowed. She moved to stand, with Guy's silent support.

"We found them, Dawn," the young man told her, feeling warm when he saw the delight blossoming on her face.

"I… I never thought I'd see them again," she spoke softly, her eyes tearing up.

Pulling her into a hug, Guy rubbed her back. "You have. And we're in 'Tomorrow' too!"

Dawn smiled into his chest.

"And," he added. "It was before our baby is grown and out to make their own family."

Dawn's cheeks reddened at the reminder. She also started to squirm, just a little.

The young man noticed. "Have to go?"

She nodded quickly.

"I'll show you where," Guy replied, leading her to an area that they were told best to use. After Dawn was done, he led her back to her room.

Then… she noticed the pale blue object on her bed. "Guy? What's—" There were different foods laid out on it.

"Brought you something to eat!" he replied. Sitting down, he pat the spot next to him. "Here's your plate," he said, offering it over.

"Thank y—"

"And your fork, knife and spoon!" he added quickly.

Dawn paused momentarily, eyeballing Guy. "I'll take the spoon," she conceded. Looking at the plate, she squinted a bit. "Eggs?" She hadn't seen that in a while.

"Yeah!" he replied. "And fruit too!"

Digging into her meal, the young woman stuffed her mouth, humming in approval. She leaned against Guy. Dawn still couldn't believe it. After so long… So many summers gone—she found her parents. They were alive and here of all places.

Guy wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pressing a kiss to her forehead.

"I feel like I'm still asleep," she spoke softly, having slowed down after her first bite. She was trying to remind herself that she didn't need to share her food. It was only the two of them in her room, and Guy hadn't asked for anything off her plate. "Having one of those dreams…"

Guy smiled, his body slowly learning how to relax after so long on the move. It wouldn't be overnight, he knew, but with some time and effort… "You're not though," he reminded her.

"I know," she replied in a low tone, using her spoon in place of a knife when cutting the eggs.

"There's so much here, Dawn," he continued. "Food as far as the eye can see. And, you should see more of the treehouse!"

"Hmm?" she asked, one brow propped up high.

Early Evening

"I hope you all are hungry!" Missus Betterman sang out.

"We are, Hope!" Ugga answered.

Beaming, Hope set down a massive platter in the middle of the table. "I have dessert waiting for when we're done."

The family all voiced their thanks.

Dawn found herself in an odd seating arrangement, being between Eep and Gran—while Guy was put between Grug and Ugga. It was very strange… as if her parents wanted her to stay away from Guy. Originally, they were going to sit together until her parents intervened.

Even though she ate not too long ago, what was place before all of them had her stomach ready for more.

Everyone served themselves and began to eat.

The meal wasn't fully done before Hope got up, heading into another room and returning with a strange, circular food. "I'll serve everyone from this," she announced, wanting everyone to have some of her dessert..

"Thank you, Missus Bettermom," Thunk spoke, still trying to use the utensils properly. He moved slowly, but seemed to be learning.

"What is that?" Dawn asked, sniffing. The smells were amazing! Everything she'd seen since they arrived somehow fit specific needs. Guy had introduced her to the shower after she ate earlier in the day. It felt so good to be able to fully clean herself without worrying about being swept away by the current, which was a major worry when she bathed in the river.

"Dawn, this is your mother's famous apple pie!" Mister Betterman replied.

"Oh…"

Late Evening

Belching while she walked, Dawn lightly pat her chest. The food was good. So good. She hadn't been able to help herself, requesting a second slice of pie after the first bite.

Guy willingly gave her his slice, only to cringe at the glare he received from her parents.

It didn't matter. Dawn devoured all of it. So now, while sporting a very full stomach, she was more than ready for her walk. Having quietly used the elevator, she felt her muscles relax more once her feet touched the ground again. Old habits die hard, so she was also carrying her spear.

Sash cooed from her position, slung over Dawn's shoulder.

"That was nice, wasn't it, Sash?"

The sloth made a few squeaks in reply.

"Yes. That pie was the best part." Dawn had licked both plates after she was done, much to the horror of her parents.

"Though I'd find you down here," Guy spoke, joining her. He was holding a spear as well. Belt was perched on his shoulder.

"Yeah," Dawn replied. "Walking off this dinner too,"

"It was good, wasn't it?" he asked. Though, he really wondered what that pie tasted like. Dawn got his slice before he had a chance.

"It really was," the young brunette responded.

A companionable silence came between them. As was their habit, they kept close to each other.

"Guy, I have to be honest," Dawn began. "I never ever thought we would get here."

Guy's brows rose in surprise.

"Ever," Dawn stated. "I agreed to find 'Tomorrow' with you, but if I'm being completely truthful, I never thought it was a place we'd find."

"You never said anything…" Guy breathed, shocked. Finding 'Tomorrow' had been his destination and dream for so long.

"I didn't want to upset you," she replied.

Guy closed his mouth. She was right. It would have hurt him if she had flat out voiced disagreement of where they were going. But… it is 'Tomorrow,' he reminded himself. The very place my parents wanted me to find!

"I was just content to spend the rest of my days with you," Dawn continued, disturbed by his silence. "No matter how far we went."

Shoulders drooping, Guy glanced at her. "Really?" After he asked, he kicked himself. "Well, I was the only person out there," he murmured, picking at the scab of an old wound of his. It was an insecurity he'd long thought buried.

As time passed… as they got older and taller, he bean to speculate if Dawn remained with him because she wanted to or for necessity. Two together were far better than one, even in the best-case scenario. He had, after all, welcomed her to his fire and kept her along his side for the duration of their trip.

Dawn's eyes filled with pain at Guy's words. Is that what he's always felt...? she wondered. She never felt like that about him… but he had encountered her, not the reverse. He was also far better prepared than she had been when they met at his fire.

"I'm so sorry," Dawn spoke, swallowing hard. "If I ever made you think that I only stayed because I needed you."

"I kept both of us alive," he reminded her.

Their relationship hadn't been equal.

Even now it wasn't. Guy was still the one to guide and protect her.

Dawn clammed up and looked away. She didn't know what to say. Any denial she had wouldn't be able to hold up under the weight of his accusations. It was true in the past… and now, she was beginning to question herself. Was it still the same as before?

An abrupt and painful thought came… Does he think I don't love him?

Pursing her lips, Dawn turned the thought over in her head. Do I love him? She asked herself. Do I really, truly love him?

Was it love… or was it need?

Had she really been angry with him for giving his love to someone else… or because she knew he wouldn't have provided for her anymore?

The young woman had a lot to think about.

Night

Reclined in bed, Dawn stared at the ceiling above her, her mind in turmoil. She had no idea how she was going to handle this newest situation with Guy. Inhaling through her nose, she blinked, trying to will tears away.

They were definitely friends, that much was a certainty. She had Guy had been friends since they were small. Back then, they were on even footing.

Before…

"Before," she muttered. Before the tar, her getting lost and them struggling to survive. I don't know what to think anymore… she thought sadly. She knew she had very strong feelings for Guy, but his questions had made doubts raise their ugly heads.

Her hand rested low on her belly.

And there was another person affected.

They were having a baby in the not-too-distant future, and the brunette was unsure how they were going to manage that—or even live together if things stayed like they were.

It hadn't escaped her notice how quickly she was able to let him back into her life and back into her furs.

But what was her reason for that?

Hearing a rustling sound, Dawn moved her hand and pushed herself into a seated position, seeing Guy as he stepped through the door, closing it behind himself. He was holding his supplies. "Guy?" she spoke softly. "What are you doing here?"

Setting his things right next to the door, he hurried to her bed and knelt in front of it. "I'm here to say… I'm sorry."

"… You're sorry?" she parroted.

"I shouldn't have said what I did," he explained, his hands resting on her bed. "It's just… an old insecurity that I thought was gone. And… w—when you told me you didn't believe in 'Tomorrow,' it came right back to the surface."

"So, you've always wondered?" she asked, rapidly blinking again to keep tears at bay.

"I have…" he agreed.

Lying down on her side and facing him, Dawn sighed. "I have to admit something as well, Guy."

Frowning, he reached out a hand, glad when she placed hers in his. "What is it?"

"I thought sometime—that you saw me as a burden," the young brunette sighed, directing her eyes to their hands. "I mean, I'm pretty much useless!" she added, trying to laugh, but the sound was a little strangled.

"That's not true, Dawn!" Guy responded, lightly squeezing her hand. "I've never thought about you like that!"

Now, she snorted. "I thought it about myself. So many times… especially now." She bit her bottom lip.

Reaching out, Guy traced her bottom lip with his thumb. "Dawn, I've never seen you as a burden, especially not now."

"It's funny, isn't it?" she asked.

"What?"

"You thought that I stayed with you because I needed you… which I will admit was true to a degree," she plowed ahead, locking eyes with him. "But I also stayed with you because I wanted to."

Guy swallowed.

"As soon as I was able to use a spear and fish properly, I could have easily left," the young woman unclasped her hand from his… only to rest it on his cheek. "So no," she stated, feeling warm all over. "You know that I can take care of myself, Guy… I didn't stay because of need. I stayed because of want." I love him… she acknowledged. I really do.

"Dawn,"

"I'm sorry if I never told you just how much I appreciated your presence, Guy… and your love."

He sucked in a breath, straightening up.

"I love you, Guy, even if you never thought I could."

His eyes grew moist, and he climbed onto the bed with her. "I don't want to have a separate room," he whispered. Lifting her blankets, he slipped under them.

"I don't want that either," Dawn agreed.

Not long after, they reunited—in more than just body.

Early Morning

Without warning at all, the door to Dawn's room flew open. Immediately, Dawn's parents wished they had knocked.

They were standing at the entryway to the room—shocked.

Guy and Dawn both looked over at the same time, the young and very sweaty adults frozen in horror, Guy locking his muscles and elbows in place.

Dawn's mouth worked a few times, but she couldn't speak at first.

"Uhh…" Guy began, startled. "H-Hi Mister and Missus Betterman!"

Dawn watched her father move to say something, then stop, one eye twitching. It was the first time she'd seen the self-proclaimed genius with 'superior intellect' unable to say a word.

"Dawn!" Hope yelled, disappointment on her face. "What are you doing in here?!"

Dawn gulped, having heard that tone of voice before when she misbehaved. After a moment, her mother's words sunk in. "Mom!" she hollered back. "What do you think we're doing?!" This is so embarrassing! she whimpered internally.

"Well, we must insist that you stop that right this instant!" the older man stated, apparently finding his voice after his wife found hers.

Both young adults narrowed their eyes.

"We're serious, Dawn!" Hope continued. "Phil and I just got you back! We're not ready to be grandparents yet!" the older woman explained.

Guy and Dawn made eye contact before Dawn looked down. "Uhm…" she let out a nervous laugh. "Too late for that mom," she replied, glancing at her parents.

Guy was quiet, but reluctantly looked at the older adult's faces. He was also suppressing a grimace, beginning to feel an ache in his muscles from the strain of holding himself in place.

Hope paled. "…What?" she asked, her voice very small.

Phil looked like he was once again unable to formulate any words.

"If we could have a bit of privacy," Guy added. "We could get dressed and explain."

The older adults took that offer without hesitation, closing the door and leaving the immediate area.

Thirty Minutes Later…

"This has been an awkward day," Guy announced.

Dawn looked over, her hair still damp from the shower. With Guy's help, she managed to wring most of the water out of her hair.

"And the day has only just begun!"

Snorting, Dawn readjusted her shirt. "We shouldn't dawdle, Guy," she spoke, walking to the door of her room and pulling it open.

The walk to the communal kitchen was a short one. Guy and Dawn reached it swiftly, fingers interlocked.

Fortunately, Phil and Hope remained quiet. Neither of Dawn's parents made it a point to draw attention to her holding hands with Guy.

The young couple sat across the table.

For a while, there was silence all around.

Frown in place, Phil looked directly at his daughter and then to Guy. "Can you tell us what exactly is going on?"

"What do you mean it's too late for our concerns, Dawn?" Hope asked.

The young man looked at Dawn and then to her mother. "We have a baby coming already, Missus Betterman," Guy explained. Drawing in a deep breath, he then looked to Dawn's father. "We should have said something sooner, Mister Betterman."

Hope's eyes widened, and she held her hands to her mouth. "A baby?" she asked, looking at her daughter.

"You should have, Guy," Phil agreed. "But… it's in the past." The older man sighed. "How long have you been together… as a couple?"

"We've been mated for over two summers now, sir," Guy replied, beaming.

"Two summers, Hope!" Phil exclaimed, looking at his wife.

Hope got up out of her seat and rounded the table to Dawn, leaning down and giving her daughter a hug. "I wish we'd been there for you," she spoke softly, her eyes wet.

"It's okay, Mom." she replied, leaning against Guy once the hug ended. "Guy kept me safe."

"No," Guy disagreed. "We kept each other safe," his smile widened.

"Can I…?" Hope asked, gesturing to Dawn's midsection.

Understanding hit the young brunette then, and she pulled her top up.

A shaky smile crossed Hope's lips as she saw the noticeable swelling above her daughter's hips. "Oh!" she gasped, tears filling her eyes. "Phil!" she exclaimed, her features creasing into a smile. "We're going to be grandparents!"

The older man rose and stood alongside his wife. His brows shot up near his hairline when he saw his daughter's belly. "I think," he began. "That I need to start working on something for the baby."

Hope's brow rose at that, and she turned her attention to him. "Like what, Phil?"

Unfortunately, the older man was already deep in thought, stroking his chin. "Hmm… Maybe a few things in fact." Saying nothing else, he spun around and headed in the direction of his lab.

Dawn lowered her top after her father left, a perplexed expression on her face.

"Should I be worried?" Guy asked.

Hope batted that idea away with the flick of her wrist. "Nonsense!" she replied. "Phil now has a problem he wants to solve… and he gets very obsessed about those."

"Problem?" Dawn asked in alarm, wrapping her arms around her belly protectively.

"Oh… I probably explained that wrong," Hope looked away for a moment. "Yes, I definitely said that wrong." Gazings at her daughter again, she chuckled. "No, what I meant is that Phil sees something he wants to do for some perceived problem you two might have. So, he's… trying to fix it in advance."

"Ohh," Guy replied. "Like my pallet!" he exclaimed.

Blinking, Dawn's attention snapped to him.

"Pallet?" Hope asked.

"Oh, we're not talking about that again!" Dawn snarled in reply.

"But Dawn—"

"I've already told you, Guy. I'm not doing that to Chunky!"

Hope closed one eye. "What does the cat have to do with the pallet?" She was honestly confused. There was no way for the two to be related.

"Guy," Dawn began, still glaring at her mate. "Has the idea that I'm going to give birth on Chunky and designed the pallet to accommodate me."

"That doesn't seem like a good idea," Hope replied, shaking her head.

"She can also comfortably ride with the pallet!" Guy pointed out, a wide grin in place. "So, it's multipurpose!" he added.

"It's original purpose," Dawn began. "Was for me to be comfortable while laboring to have our child on top of the Death Cat."

"See, calling him a 'Death Cat' already makes it seem like a bad idea, Guy."

"Hey," the young man replied, spreading his hands and fingers wide. "We never know what might happen," then, he looked at Dawn. "You even told me that it feels better to travel with the pallet… and it keeps you more secure!"

Features crinkling in distaste, Dawn rested a hand on her belly. Guy, she knew, was going to argue this point until he'd nearly beaten it to death. "The circumstances here are different," Dawn spoke, trying to reason with him. "We're not running for our lives in here."

Guy looked at her, one brow wrinkled.

"There's plenty of food in here," Dawn added. "And a lot of company."

"True… you're right."

Dawn smiled. "Eep and I have become close… I hope she'll be willing to help me with the baby. Oh! And Ugga too!"

"They did say it takes a village," Guy agreed. Maybe things wouldn't be so bad after all? Dawn was right. They were behind well-built fortifications with more food than they had ever seen before.

Hope nodded pleasantly, but she was becoming uncomfortable. Dawn hadn't mentioned her at all as someone who would help with the baby. She was just learning that her baby was having a baby and now… it seemed like their time would be limited if not nonexistent.

Dawn just felt good, glad that she had her parents and hopefully—the Croods—who would be willing to help them.

The quiet reverie was broken by the sound of Dawn's stomach growling.

The young brunette had the grace to blush.

"I'll fix up breakfast!" Hope spoke, leaping to her feet.

Late Afternoon

Phil's Laboratory

"I think I have it," the older man muttered, staring at a drawing. "Yes…" he continued, leaning over it to scribble down more details. Happy for the challenge, he began to hum softly. "That's important right there," he spoke again. "And a soft fur can go here…"

"Phil?" Hope spoke to her husband after stepping into his lab.

"Yes, dear?" he replied, stepping back from the picture. He rotated it to the left and to the right, stroking his chin.

"What are you working on?" Hope asked, walking over.

"This invention will enable our daughter and Guy to carry their child with them but have their hands freed to do other things!"

"Really?" Hope asked, impressed. "Have to say Phil… it's one of your better ideas."

The older man's eyes widened. "Even better than the shower?"

Hope shook her head in denial. "Not at all!" she replied. "The shower was the best invention you made, Phil!"

"Even better than the pull-down waste water clearing system?"

Hope hesitated. She did also appreciate not having to run to the bushes and risk being bitten or stung by something. "Well… It is probably a tie?" she asked.

"What about the egg collection section in the pulley system I built here?"

"… That's not why I came in here, Phil!" Hope replied. "Although I am very grateful for every single invention that you've made." She paused a moment. "Along with being glad you built the wall and set up the system we have for food."

"If that's not what you're here for," he began. "Then why?"

Remembering her earlier ire, Hope's eyes narrowed.

"Uhh… dear?"

"Dawn wants Ugga to help with the baby, but not me!"

"What?" Phil wasn't sure he was hearing right. Why would his daughter prefer the help of strangers over her own family?

"She even mentioned Eep! Or was it Meep? Peep?"

"Eep," Phil replied. "Definitely Eep."

"But why would she want them to help her over her family?"

"That is a good question," Phil began to stroke his chin.

"Maybe… we should be a little more careful with who we let stay inside these walls?"

One of Phil's brows rose. "They do have a problem with the concept of doors… The older man sighed, thinking about the different holes he'd seen in the different rooms. That was going to take some time to repair.

"And their young son is always on the couch… staring out the window."

"Yeah, that's strange," Phil agreed.

"So, I was thinking," Hope continued. "That we send them on their way." Hope smiled faintly. "I do think this farm is too advanced for such primitive people."

"I agree."

"So, they can just leave," she continued. "And Guy can stay here with Dawn and the baby."

Phil grinned. "Hope Betterman, always thinking of others."

"Really, I just can't help it," she replied. "This is the best way we can build a better future."

Dawn's Room

"I like it here," Guy spoke softly, resting on his back. He stretched. "Ohh, and this bed is so comfortable."

"Mmm," Dawn replied, her head pillowed on Guy's chest. "It's so strange… not having anything to do."

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"We're used to having to do something, right?" Yawning, she snuggled closer to him. "But here… we're pretty much laying back and doing nothing."

"Well… 'we' aren't exactly doing nothing at all," he replied, lightly scratching behind one of her ears.

"Huh?" she asked, the sensation from his fingers relaxing her further.

"We're currently working to build our family," he replied. Though… To be fair, you're doing all the work."

Snorting softly, she closed her eyes. "Wouldn't be if not for your help."

"Huh…" Guy half smiled, having never looked at it that way.

To Be Continued…

Author's Note: YEAH! We're back baby!

Hey there! I'm hanging out here, having one of those yawns so intense that you can't make more than a squeak. I realized something this past Monday… that I always talk about OA on here in my Author's Notes, but no one on AO3 has ever seen it.

Or maybe I'm imagining that I did that.

I know I talk about it enough on my blog. Which can be found on WordPress if you're ever interested in what I'm doing between fanfics.

Just a forewarning, it's a rollercoaster… sometimes all in one day.

My name there is: MissLyst.

If you stop by, welcome.

If not, glad you swung past this fanfiction.

This one was supposed to be a short, but my dad gave me an idea… which now that it's in mind, I cannot let go.
