Chapter 1
Alyssa Monaghan woke up in the apartment she and her twin brother Chris bought after the Beck Brothers bought their grandfather's ranch when they lost all of their workers. She got up out of her bed before making it, she walked to her closet opened it up, and pulled out a light red dress with red flowers on it along with a blue short denim jacket along brown cowboy boots with a red design on the side of them. She then left her room to get to her twin children named Isla and Eric, she picked up Eric as Isla was still sleeping and took him downstairs to give him his bottle.
She shaked it up before sitting on the couch and gave it to him, as he drank her brother came down with his two twins named Kim and Sean and he was also carrying Isla with him. He walked over and put Isla in the bouncer since Eric was still drinking his bottle. After Eric finished drinking he burped before he looked at Isla and started babbling to her while she babbled back to him. Alyssa put Eric in the bouncer beside Isla before going into the kitchen to make another bottle. Alyssa came back with another bottle and picked Isla up.
Alyssa fed Isla while watching Eric in the bouncer, Chris had fed his children Kim and Sean before changing their nappies and changed the children into clothes before he left after putting Kim and Sean in their car seat in his car. Isla had finished her bottle and burped, Alyssa picked Eric up from the bouncer before walking back upstairs to their room and putting Isla in her crib before she changed Eric.
She changed his nappy before putting him into a dark blue outfit with cowboys on it with a white bodysuit saying 'Actually this is my first rodeo' and a matching blue beanie and socks. After changing Eric she put him in his cot before picking up Isla, she changed her nappy before putting her in a matching outfit but hers was pink. After they were both dressed Alyssa picked them up before leaving the room and walked back downstairs with both kids on each hip. She walked towards the front door carefully picking up the diaper bag before grabbing the keys to the door and her purse.
She walked towards her car and unlocked it, she opened the door before putting Eric in his car seat and putting Isla in hers, she then clipped them both in before closing the door. She put the nappy bag in the boot before running to the front door and locking it before running back to the car and getting into the driver's seat. She drove off and took Eric and Isla to daycare before driving off to work. Alyssa walked into the office to see Beth Dutton already in with her secretary Jason at his desk. Alyssa waved to Jason who waved back and gave her a smile which she returned, she looked at Beth and nodded her head to her and Beth did the same.
Alyssa walked into her office sat behind her desk opened the last drawer in her desk and made sure her throwing knives were there along with her other knives her gun and boxes of bullets. She had a bad feeling that something was going to happen tonight, something bad. She opened her laptop and logged in before going to work after a while it turned dark and she noticed shapes of men coming in she sent a message to her twin brother.
Office needs help.
Meanwhile, Chris was driving to pick up his children when he got the message he saw it and quickly turned the car around and sped to Alyssa's office. Meanwhile, Alyssa opened the last drawer of the desk and grabbed her weapons. She crept out of her office to see them kill Jason, one of the guys grabbed Beth by her hair dragged her into an office, and threw her onto the table.
Alyssa grabbed her throwing knives and threw them into the second guy which caused him to scream in pain gaining the second guy's attention, Alyssa grabbed one of her other knives before slitting the guy's throat before stabbing him in the chest. The second guy left Beth in the office and headed toward the other man. While Beth texted Rip for help. Meanwhile, when Rip got the message he showed it to John Dutton, John, Rip, Kaycee, Ryan, and Jimmy all climbed into the black Yellowstone ute and raced toward Beth's office.
Meanwhile, Alyssa went after the second guy while Beth lay frightened on the table, while Rip pulled up at the office along with a young man they rushed into the building and they found Beth. John and Kayce helped her off the table when they heard a crash Chris ran towards the sound to see the dead body on the ground with a knife in his chest. Rip and the others followed the man and saw the body, Chris pulled the knife from the man's body and saw his sister with the second guy throwing punches.
The guy hit Alyssa and grabbed his gun shooting her in her side and making her groan in pain, Chris threw the knife into the man distracting him while Alyssa ran towards the man wrapping her legs around his neck before twisting her body around making him land on the floor, he got back up and she spun around kicking him in the face. She grabbed her other knife and slit his throat and then stabbed him in the chest. Alyssa's side started hurt and put her hand on it before pulling it away hissing in pain, she looked at her hand and saw blood on it. Chris walked towards his sister and helped her towards the couch before grabbing all her weapons wiping the blood away on the dead man's clothes and taking them over to her.
Meanwhile, the group from Yellowstone looked at each other in shock about Alyssa making that move.
"Did you see that move she pulled even after she was wounded." Rip said while watching the young man fuss over her.
Rip guessed they were twins they looked like each other.
"Well, I feel protected with her here." Beth said.
"Wouldn't like to piss her off. I don't want her to do that move on me." Jimmy said while John phoned for a vet he knew.
"I would love to see her make that move on me." Ryan said.
Beth walked over to the siblings and thanked Alyssa for saving her and Alyssa told her she was welcome the others came over and stood around Alyssa and her brother protecting them.
"I'm sorry for being rude i'm Chris Monaghan and this is my sister Alyssa." Chris said.
"I'm John Dutton these are two of my children Beth and Kayce and our workers Rip, Ryan, and Jimmy. You said Monaghan like Geoff Monaghan." John said.
"Yes Geoff was our grandfather when he died he gave the ranch to us but then we lost the workers and lost the ranch to the Beck brothers." Alyssa said groaning in pain.
"I'm sorry about your loss Geoff and I were friends. If you want you both can come to work with me." John said.
Alyssa and Chris looked at each other while the others watched them.
"We would love to but we won't be able to live in the bunkhouse." Chris said.
"Why not?" Rip said.
"Alyssa and I have twin babies only 8 months old. We don't want them waking up the other workers. They are up around 2 times a night." Chris said watching his sister's wound it started bleeding more.
"We will work something out." John said.
The doctor came in and gave Alyssa some morphine before having to dig the bullet out of her side, Alyssa cried out in pain grabbing Chris's hand but didn't know that she also grabbed Rip's since he was closer to her. Alyssa had tears running down her face she looked at Chris.
"Chris the children we need to pick them up." Alyssa said.
"I will drive Alyssa's car while you drive yours and we will pick them up." Beth said.
Chris kissed Alyssa on the forehead before standing up and walking into her office grabbing her phone and car keys, he walked back in and handed them to Alyssa and she sent a message to the worker at the daycare to say that a friend was coming to pick up Eric and Isla. She then gave the keys to Beth before watching them leave. The doctor got the bullet out before cauterizing the wound. Rip then picked her up and carried her out to the car while Kayce, Jimmy, and Ryan dealt with the bodies and sent them back to the Beck brothers.
Rip carried her out the door with John following they walked to Beth's car before getting inside, Rip put Alyssa on the backseat and laying her down. John got in the driver's seat while Rip sat in the passenger seat keeping an eye on Alyssa. John then drove towards the Yellowstone ranch.
