This is shortly after the end of Arc 2

A single egg sat on Starflight and Fatespeaker's beds. It was well into the afternoon, and many days now after Fatespeaker had laid it. Fatespeaker and Starflight were on the roof of the den, soaking up the sun.

Inside the den, the egg shook a bit. The dragonet inside was now fully developed and ready to hatch. The black egg shook slightly at first, then more the following moments, and finally a single crack appeared on the egg with a loud snap.

Starflight and Fatespeaker heard its loud sound and with two flaps of their great wings they landed in front of the egg. "It's hatching!" Fatespeaker exclaimed happily, approaching the black, cracking orb. A hole appeared in the egg, exposing a small, innocent eye.

Starflight was frozen with happiness and nervousness. "Three moons! Do you think it's a boy or a girl?" Fatespeaker watched as the dragonet worked its way out of the egg. When it finally hatched, Fatespeaker lovingly lifted it up. "It's a girl," she said, cradling the dragonet.

"Then what should we name her?" asked Starflight, walking over to the two and gazing down happily at his child. "Let's name her Heartcatcher," he said, giving the dragonet a boop on the nose. "It's perfect!" Fatespeaker exclaimed happily.

7 years later

Heartcatcher roamed the halls of Jade Academy, walking towards her Winglet. She was part of the Diamond Winglet, which formed shortly after a dragonet boom happened and the school couldn't fit them all in. After six years of waiting for the school to have an open spot, she was allowed in, albeit halfway into the school year. Heartcatcher was so excited to meet her Winglet, especially the Icewing. She had always thought Icewings were cute, if not grumpy.

Heartcatcher walked to the Sleeping Cave, where everyone had already seemed to settle in. She padded into the cave, looking at everyone's faces. Five other dragons, all looking at her, including the Ice'wing. And damn, to Heartcatcher, that Icewing looked hot.

Heartcatcher grinned, but it looked more like a grimace. She was sweating. "Hi…. I'm the Nightwing…. Heartcatcher…. Who are you guys….?" The Rainwing was the first to introduce himself. "I am Regal," the Rainwing said. "Most likely the brains of the group." Hearcatcher was dazzled by Regal's scales. It started out with a deep purple, accented by magenta stripes and dark red spots. It looked like a sunset just two minutes before night time.

"Though I wish he wasn't, he's right," The Sandwing said. "I'm Heatstroke. I don't really have anything to say about myself," he said, laughing. "I'm basically the clown around here." Heatstroke was large and bulky. He looked strong.

The Skywing piped up. "Hi! I'm the Skywing, Crimson. I'm known as Sexy Skyscraper around here-" before the slim, elegant Skywing could continue, the Icewing interrupted her. "No you're not." Crimson rolled her eyes and continued. "As I was saying, I'm known as Sexy Skyscraper around here, and basically the boss." Heartcatcher laughed at this, as Crimson's weak and frail form barely looked boss-like.

The Mudwing sluggishly yawned and began to introduce herself. "Name's Honey-Bell. Can we get the introductions over with so I can go back to sleep?" The whole room laughed at this. The Seawing began to introduce herself. "Jellyfish, okay? Honey-bell and me are friends. You should join our friend group!" Heartcatcher liked the sound of this. "Alright!"

The Icewing grimaced. "Sorry for everyone's stupidity. Though, since you're a Nightwing, I'm not sure how you'll be any better. I'm Alabaster." Despite Alabastar's rude greeting, Heartcatcher's heart couldn't help but flutter at the sight of him. The angle of the light made is large, strong build majestic and elegant.

"I can't wait to start the… well, the rest of the school year with you all!" Heartcatcher said, grinning.
