"Ryder, thank you for coming," Addison says as she and other Initiative leaders turn to see Sara walk in. She was pissed Tann refused her request to have Reyes there. "He is not part of the Nexus." Were his words exactly.

Reyes stayed on the Tempest, helping the crew with his own work under control by SAM.

"I didn't get much of a choice," Ryder snarkily says as she sits across from everyone. Tann, Kandros, Addison and Kesh were all there. Moshae Sjefa should be part of the meeting, but Evfra had demanded to take her place. He was still a few hours out from arriving at the Nexus, that didn't mean Tann would wait for him.

"I have called you here today to answer the accusations for your stunt pulled on the Remnant Station. You act alone, without counselling myself or the others." Ryder hated how contradicting he was being. The Salarian sat straight and rigid, she wanted to fly across the table at him.

"It wasn't a stunt, Tann. Stop the political bullshit for two seconds," Sara shouts in agitation. Her leg shook under the table, she was furious.

"We should let Ryder give her reasons why she did it," Kesh says. Ryder smiles at her, she had always gotten along with the Krogan. Kesh always had her back when the others tried to turn away from her.

"I don't see why I need to explain myself, I did what I thought was right. You couldn't have done it without me or SAM anyway. Why should I wait for you all to argue about if it should be done or not? We need to contact home, we have to let them know we are here." Kandros' mandibles twitched at her.

"You can not send a message without it being approved by us first," he snaps at her. Sara glares at him.

"Last time I checked, Kandros. You work fucking security, I'm the Pathfinder," she shoots back at him. He looks at Tann, shaking his head in agitation. "This happened back in the Milky Way, the leader argued all the damn time. Not considering the words spoken by those around them. You have not fought this war as I have."

"Ryder," Addison softly speaks. "We appreciate what you have done for us. We will forever be in your debt, but these things cannot go under the books. There is protocol here."

"Did protocol say Tann can rip the Remnant station for all it had? Use the technology for our own gain." The whole table fell silent as all eyes drifted to Tann, he sighs at Ryder. "Don't fucking do that," she shouts. "You took the Remnant station for yourself. I ordered work to be stopped the moment I found out."

Tann's eyes snap up at her. "You cannot do that, Pathfinder," he says with a long pointed finger.

"Yes, I can. Did you forget SAM controls the Remnant there? He can stop it all by my say so. Don't test me, Tann." Addison grunts under her breath.

"Ryder, you have to stop using SAM to your advantage. You can't always have your way," she snaps at her.

"SAM is mine, he's my partner and connected to me. You use him and expect me to be fine with it. I demand the work be stopped and research only be conducted to help understand the station." They all look at each other. Sara wasn't backing down.

"Tann, why did you think you could do this?" Kesh asks. The others knew nothing about Tann forcing the workers to strip the Remnant of its valuable resources.

The line of eyes goes down to Tann who was glaring at Sara from across him. He was pissed at being found out, but Sara didn't care. She hated the Salarian more and more. He had to go, being head of the Initiative was not suited for him. "We need every advantage we can take to make Heleus our home."

"Why the fuck did I give you five golden worlds for then?! We are finding more each week, stop rushing this," Sara shouts as she stands up. Her fists were deep into the grey marble table.

"How is he rushing this?" Kandros asks, his talons were near scratching the table. Ryder quivered her lip at him.

"You may have been here for over two years, but I haven't." She looks back at Tann, pointing at him. "You expected me to rush everything, moments after losing my father and nearly losing Scott. I had myself and SAM to figure this all out. You forget, Tann..." She closes her eyes, sighing loudly. "We travelled through dark space, which was even a miracle we even made it. Yet, you expect everything to just work out, it's not the reality of it. Stop looking for the quick way out of this and take it slowly. We have the Angara to think about."

"Pathfinder," Tann says, slowly standing up. "You have no right to judge my motives, you are just a pawn in all of this."

"Wha the fuck did you just say?" she sneers at him. Her eyes rage light blue as her biotics react.

"Mr Vidal," SAM calls through the comms.

Reyes looks up from his work with Liam. They both were upgrading his omni-tool, Liam was shit at hacking and Reyes had just the right modules to make it easier for him. "Ryder finished already, SAM?"

"No, the Pathfinder has been detained by Kandros." Reyes drops the wrench into his hand. Standing up all too quickly just to trip and fall into Liam.

"What?" he shouts. Liam pushes him back up, holding onto the workstation like it was a lifeline.

"Sara attacked Director Tann," he calmly explains. Reyes swears under his breath, rushing out to find Scott and get down to operations control.

"I'll gather the crew," Liam calls as Reyes shoots off. He couldn't help but chuckle. Tann had this coming, after all, he pushed Sara too much and she finally snapped. Hopefully, she'd be set free soon enough.

"Where is she?" Reyes asks with Scott right behind him. Kesh stood in front of the door to the Pathfinder HQ. She waved her hand to calm both men down.

"Tann is pissed, Kandros has handcuffed her to her chair," she explains.

"The hell happened?" Scott asks, brushing Reyes to the side. Kesh shakes her head, looking down at the ground. This was all becoming too much to keep under wraps. The Nexus residents will become enraged when they find out what happened. Most will take Sara's side, but others will say she is not fit to be Pathfinder.

Kesh begins to explain the events of what happened, then leads them both inside. Tann is on the upper level, getting patched up by the medics. He only had a broken cheekbone, Sara wanted to do much worse.

"Dove?" Reyes calls. Sara looks up from the chair was currently tied to. Kandros stood next to her, gun in his hand. "Really, Kandros. She won't kill you."

Scott had gone straight to Tann, Reyes heard the shouting going on from the lower level. "She attacked the Director, Reyes," Kandros snaps at him.

"He deserved it," Sara says. Kandros growls at her.

"You're in enough trouble," he warns.

Sara glares at him, "bite me," she grunts in return.

"Sara, be quiet," Reyes says. "I know you are under pressure, but don't make this worse for yourself." Sara can only sigh, nodding her head and looking back down at her knees.

"Pathfinder, would you like me to lower your stress levels?" SAM asks out loud.

"SAM, the Pathfinder should not be taken care of right now," Addison says as she walks back down the ramp.

"Do it, SAM," Sara answers with a smirk. Addison looks at her with disappointment. SAM releases hormones to calm her down, it works quickly enough and her slumped, agitated stance relaxes.

"You're lucky. Tann isn't pressing charges."

"I don't really give a shit," Sara snaps at her. Tann had come back down, Scott was by his side, looking less than impressed.

"Sara Ryder," he speaks tall and stern. "Due to your ill-mannered actions, I will hereby revoke your Pathfinder status."

Reyes looks at Sara, her mouth dropped open. "Tann," Kesh warns as she steps forward. Tann holds his hand up to her.

"Your brother Scott Ryder shall take on the position," he calmly says.

"You can't be serious. This is your damn fault," Sara grunts as she pulls against the ties.

"No, Sara. This is your own fault. SAM will need to create another module to follow Scott and transfer to his implant," Tann explains. Scott looked at his sister, she held the tears back as she squirmed.

"Like hell, he will, SAM is mine. I am not sharing him," Sara says. "Scott, please don't do this."

"I don't have a choice, Sara. Just for now, let us do it," Scott says with a plea.

"I... this can't be happening," Sara cries. Reyes snarls, forcing Kandros away as he pulls the ties free from her wrists.

"Reyes Vidal, step back," Kandros shouts as he aims his gun.

"Fuck you, Kandros. You are all a bunch of pinchazos," he mumbles as Sara stands up and stalks over to Tann.

"This is not over," she says with tears stained on her cheeks. "Scott let's go," she waves as she and Reyes head towards the doors.

"Sara, the ship isn't yours anymore," Scott says as he holds back.

"Scott, don't do this to me. I am going back to my damn ship," she shouts. She looks at him, waiting for him to join her, but he steps back to Tann. "Dad would be so disappointed in you," she whispers. Scott felt as if she just punched him in the stomach with that line.

"Scott," Reyes mumbles. But he holds his ground and doesn't move. Reyes pulls Sara along, not waiting for Scott to come or not.

"You did the right thing, Scott," Tann says as he turns around to go back to his desk. "I will transfer Pathfinder codes tomorrow, I wish to give Sara time to cool down."

"Do you promise to keep your end of the bargain?" Scott asks. Tann looks up from his terminal, he waits for the other leaders to leave in a mixture of emotions before nodding.

"You continue to be Pathfinder and I will not exile Sara or force SAM from her," he says calmly. Scott nods, turning on his heel and leaves.

Tann had told him the Stations technology studied had come up with something surprising. What Alec thought was impossible for SAM to be taken from his Pathfinder without death parting them, was no longer the only option. Tann's scientist had found the same link SAM uses with the Remnants could be altered into being used against him and Sara to break their connection without killing Sara.

Scott had bargained with Tann to take over Pathfinder duties if Sara was not to be exiled from the Nexus and SAM stayed with her. Whilst Tann didn't like that since SAM should be with Scott, it was easily changed that the second module of SAM being created could do the job. However SAM was the only one that could create it himself, he'd need to do it if Scott wished to use Remnant.

Scott knew Sara would hate him for this, but he wanted to keep her safe and SAM was too attached to her to give it up. He would tell her... one day.

A/N: So this is going completely off the story but well. I want Tann gone, that asshole pissed me off the entire game. It's going to be a few chapters long, just to give me enough time to research the reason for his dismissal and make sure it will work and make sense. Don't worry, our favourite Pathfinder isn't gone, just... suspended. pinchazos: pricks.
