~Not Alike~
When you have a man who is Captain America levels of superhuman and has to satisfy a sexual demi-goddess on a semi regular basis going up against a normal if moderately fit young woman in a contest of stamina…
"Gotcha bitch!"
"Eek!"
…the results are pretty clear.
"Hope you enjoyed last night with your girl Liam because it's about to be your last!"
"Okay I think the joke has run its course" Kendrick commented whilst going into the room.
"No shit" Kendall deadpanned following along.
Meanwhile Amelia did not seem very fearful of what's to come rather she was surprised at something else she noticed. Despite having both the height and even weight advantage between the two of them for some reason she could not get him to budge from his place on top of her.
"How the hell are you this strong!?"
"I have to be this strong to carry Ezraphel's phat ass across the threshold on the daily!"
"Hey!"
"Phat with a -PH- Ez, calm down."
"Oh, better."
"Yeah that makes sense" Jamie can be heard commenting.
"On both counts" surprisingly Kendall was the one to not-so-silently mutter that one.
"Can someone please get him off of me!?"
Her plea was answered by Liam arresting Stan in a full nelson and pulling him off his fiancée.
"Hey yo, what the fuck!?"
"Sorry man can't let you kill my future wife" Liam grunted.
"My hero~" said future wife purred.
"Fine whatever just put me down!"
Liam shrugged and was about to do that when he felt a tap on his shoulder "actually can you give him to me~"
"No! Nonononono. Do not do that!"
Liam looked between his friend and his girlfriend for a moment for a moment before shrugged "alright he's all yours."
"Oh you mother fucking-OOMPH!"his words were cut off by Ezraphel immediately hugging him into her chest and smothering his face in her cleavage.
"Thank you~" the woman cheered whilst demonstrating her strength by literally manhandling her boyfriend with ease of a little girl holding a teddy bear.
The others watched on in silent amusement with just a dash of awkwardness as their friend's struggling form gradually became more pacified with each passing second. The entire time Ezraphel stood there humming a tune while occasionally rocking on the balls of her feet and twisting her body here and there in idle movement.
Finally the silence was broken by Kendall acting as the voice of reason "should we…help…him?"
"Nah" Amelia chirped "can't you see he's experiencing every man's dream?"
"Dying?"
"Being smothered in a fantastic pair of tits" Amelia answered shamelessly.
"…I feel like a man dying of thirst watching another man drown."
"Careful, we might think you're jealous there Kendrick" Jamie warned to which he scoffed.
"I'm not afraid to admit I'm jealous. I mean have you seen Ezraphel?"
"…point."
This time Liam spoke up seeing how his friend suddenly went limp "I think he's calmed down Ezraphel."
"Not yet" she retorted "he still has some fight in him" and just as she said this his struggles renewed with more frantic energy "see?"
"I'm pretty sure that's him trying to come up for air" Jamie observed.
"Nah, he'll be fine."
Everyone looked amongst themselves in mild bemusement with Amelia speaking up "as much as I think the visual of this is hilarious he's the one driving so let him go."
Fine" she relented and Stanley was dropped on shaky legs taking deep gulps of air.
Kendall had a concerned expression as she asked "are you okay?"
"What do you think!?"
"He's fine" Kendrick dismissed
"FUCK YOU!" Stanley yelled "I was literally dying and you all stood there and watched" his glare swept across the room promising harsh retribution "I will remember this and as for you" he pointed at the Lilim.
"Yes~?"
The eager look she gave him caused him to momentarily pause and he became very aware that they had witnesses so he swallowed what he was about to say and growled.
"We'll have words later."
"I'm looking forward to it~" she winked.
Stanley ignored her to sling his carrying bag over his shoulder "hope you fuckers made peace with your God, got your affairs in order and wrote down your last will and testament because you're all about to get ass blasted in the Thunder Dome."
As they watched him leave in silence Jamie summed up their predicament right then "whelp, we're fucked."
Kendall could only shake her head as she got her stuff but was momentarily distracted by Ezraphel's chipper attitude to which she had to ask "why are you so excited?"
"Because Stanley is extra rough when he's angry~" she swooned with dreamy yet perverse expression.
Kendall shook her head again and walked away "I'm not touching that."
No one is.
After locking the house they all piled into Stanley's car and set off.
Almost immediately everyone sans Stanley and Ezraphel had taken out their phones making for a silent drive. Or at least it would have been had Ezraphel not been present at least.
"So…what do you all do in this Airsoft sport?" she questioned.
That got some confused glances, surprising expressions and raised eyebrows with Kendrick commented "dude, seriously?"
"Not my fault" Stanley grunted keeping his eyes on the road "Ez has made it perfectly clear that she does not like Airsoft. I believe the word she used to describe it was barbaric."
Ezraphel gave a huff at that "well what else do you call running around an arena and shooting each other with those annoying toys?"
That got a round of silence as everyone looked at each other but ultimately shrugged it off with Kendall commenting "you're not wrong."
"There's actually a bunch of reasons why people play Airsoft" Liam spoke up as the voice of reason "mostly it has to do with simulated combat."
"Oh, you mean like 'war games'?"
"War games?"
If Stanley wasn't driving he would be giving her a very pointed look right now.
Still Ezraphel felt such pointed emotions through her bond that she could put it into words which sounded like "what the fuck are you doing?"
Clearing her throat to clear her thoughts she elaborated "in my home there are events staged that re-enact fights with wooden swords and such."
"We call it LARPing Ez" Stanley supplied.
"I've went down the LARPing rabbit hole before" Jamie supplied.
"Really?"
"Oh yeah, extreme LARPing is a thing and it gets really wacky" Jamie commented.
Ezraphel shrugged "it's only a game and safer than this I'd imagine."
"That's debatable" Stanley muttered "what do you think Jamie?"
"As someone who watched multiple videos about accidents in both Airsoft and LARPing I can safely say that Airsoft at its most dangerous has the less hospital turnout."
"I can't believe we're having this conversation" spoke Kendrick as he palmed his face.
Luckily Stanley brought the conversation back on track "also saying that it's just a bunch of people running around and shooting each other is a gross oversimplification."
Ezraphel raise da skeptical eyebrow "is it though?"
"Yes" he stressed "if you'd actually bothered to look up this stuff back home you'd get it."
But she didn't, Ezraphel didn't even try to understand airsoft. He actually checked her browser history and the only airsoft related searches on her timeline were a couple of YouTube videos and a wiki search…about the dangers of airsoft.
Again the disguised Lilim could only shrug "it seemed uninteresting."
'Bullshit'
She just didn't want to learn more out of her principle…or spite.
"There's actually a lot more to airsoft than just shooting people" Amelia spoke up in defense of one of he favorite pastimes.
"Please elaborate."
"Well for one there are different games you make out of it…"
And as Amelia and the others went on to explain airsoft to Ezraphel Stanley was left to his thoughts. Stanley was too much of a pessimist to hold out hope that this little airsoft TED talk was going to pique Ezraphel's interest in airsoft. That is despite the fact that it was something Stanley unabashedly loved. The thought had him thinking how it honestly felt like his and Ezraphel's relationship was a textbook example of that saying opposites attract. With Ezraphel being an outgoing optimist and him being a reclusive pessimist you'd ideally want their clashing personalities to sort of gel with their strengths and weaknesses balancing each other out.
This was definitely happening. Stanley already admitted to himself that Ezraphel was making him a better person and he'd like to think that he was making her more human. Yet these breakthroughs came at a cost as there seemed to be a lot of compromises over which their relationship was built on. Yeah he understood this was a natural thing for relationships but it just didn't sit right with him. Specifically it didn't sit right with him how despite their relationship working well for the most part the two of them don't really have much in common.
Now this does not mean they couldn't find common ground. For example Ezraphel liked cooking good food, Stanley liked eating good food, they both like watching good entertainment and then there's the sex…nuff said. You can't even really count those things as shared interests since they weren't unique shared interests by any stretch of the imagination. Things really start to get fucked up when you look at their other interests.
For Stanley his interest are few and most of them are exclusively solo hobbies developed from his time as a hermit. He isn't the type who would be willing to try something new unless it was guaranteed to be worth his time and out of Stanley's limited list of interests only two are activities that can be a shared experience, videogames and airsoft. On the flipside Ezraphel was the type of person who can develop an interest in almost anything, was willing to try something out so long as it looked fun and she especially liked to do activities with others. It struck him then that for all her adventurous personality and proclamations of love for him that she had little to no interest in his interests that could be shared.
Now contrary to what some might believe Stanley wouldn't mind if Ezraphel developed an interest in Airsoft. Sure the thought of her playing with them was embarrassing off rip but he would actually very much appreciate having the most important person in his life taking a liking to one of his genuine interests. Granted Stanley soured the airsoft experience by using them as weapons to ward off her advances earlier in their relationship but given her aversion to violence she wouldn't have been interested in airsoft anyway.
As for videogames her lack of interest in them was a genuine head scratcher for him. You could make the argument that his preferred styles of games are violent but he has a very diverse catalogue. He's even attempted on multiple occasions to get her interested in them to no avail. Oh sure Ezraphel has watched him play games for hours on end a few times but asking her to join him or take up the controller would almost always get him a polite decline. The one time he did get her to play her reaction was lackluster to say the least.
There was just something about videogames that didn't elicit that expression of awe and wonder as other forms of media did. Stanley had no idea why that is and could only speculate because he felt that if he pressed her for an explanation she would feel compelled to play which he didn't want.
So that mystery was left unsolved.
He would be lying if he said that Ezraphel's lack of interest in airsoft and videogames didn't bother him but what could he do? You can say he could take solace in the fact that Ezraphel had her own interests that he wouldn't be interested in. He didn't know what said interests would be since she wouldn't have told him about it, likely a result of his constantly stressing to her not to bother him with 'useless crap' no doubt.
'Huh…'
Looking back at his rather callous disregard for whatever she might be into that doesn't directly or indirectly involve or affect him caused him to cringe. Indeed some or rather a lot of the things he said to her back then felt like he was reinforcing the idea that her world revolves around him and anything that didn't he had no interest in.
'…I should ask her about the stuff she does when I'm not around.'
For some reason the idea of not knowing what Ezraphel's interest might be outside of him was eliciting a feeling he was all too familiar with, regret.
'Why does it feel like the universe is playing a sick joke on me?'
As they say hindsight is 20/20.
~The Airsoft Thunder Dome~
"Welcome to the Thunder Dome" Jamie announced as they got out of the car and onto the still damp pavement.
Ezraphel tilted her head "Thunder Dome?"
At her question Jamie looked to Stan "how has she not watch Mad Max by now?"
"She doesn't like violent movies" Stan sighed before turning to her "and it's okay Ez you don't need to get the reference just think of it as like a gladiatorial arena."
Ezraphel gave the building a once over "it doesn't look like much."
Kendall raised an eyebrow "what were you expecting?"
"Something more?" Ezraphel shrugged
"It doesn't have to look grandiose or anything" Stanley defended "people don't really care too much about how it looks so long as it functions."
Kendall scoffed "speak for yourself. I like my airsoft fields up to code and with guaranteed safety."
"The point is it doesn't matter what it looks like on the outside, it's the inside that counts."
"Yeah Ez, you of all people should know that given who you're currently dating."
Before Stanley could give a scathing retort Ezraphel surprised him by beating him to it "I have no idea how that would apply Kendrick, my Stanley is great on both the inside and outside."
"…" Kendrick stared at her for a moment before looking to the others.
The rest of his friends could only shrug to that with Amelia commenting "told you."
"Wow, um okay" and with that everyone now had their weapons and gear in hand sans the carrying cases.
"Let's just go" Stanley groaned and as they walked he turned to Ezraphel and reiterate "it looks better inside."
This turned out to be true as compared to the drab exterior they entered the staging area was a spacious one painted a bright green with long bench tables. The walls were covered with airsoft memorabilia, there was a TV playing YouTube airsoft videos, two vending machines for drinks and snacks were in the corner next to the bathrooms and in the far back directly across from the entrance was the reception area which was barred with an iron cage and doubled as a place to sell the rental equipments they put up on display.
Despite the terrible weather that plagued most of yesterday and earlier today there were a number of people already present. From the way how they were bunched together it was clear that they came in groups. Despite this it was a bit of organized chaos with most tinkering with their weapons and gear while engaging in conversations. One was by the vending machines, a trio was by the reception area with one of them dealing with the man behind it while the other two were talking animatedly while admiring the weapons on display.
Ezraphel followed along as they made their way deeper into the staging area in search of a spot to set up "is it always so full?"
"For every time we played here more or less" her Stanley replied.
"You'd think the rain would have some affect on the turnout" Kendall commented resting her carrying case on the table.
"Then you'd be the only one to think that" Stanley replied.
"Word" Kendrick added.
"I'll check us in" Liam spoke and in turn they others handed him their IDs.
"I'm coming with" Amelia announced immediately dropping her weapon to do just that.
"Um, okay" he replied whilst giving his significant other a weird look but only for a moment.
As they left Amelia turned back to give her a thumbs which Ezraphel returned enthusiastically while ignoring the looks given to her by the others.
Her Stanley gave her a deadpan stare "I'm not sure I approve of your relationship with Amelia."
"Well Stanley we are both grown women who can make our own decisions" she replied primly before taking a seat at the bench with her back to the table.
In response he grumbled before ignoring her to check over his gear with the others following suit. Whilst they were occupied with this Ezraphel chose to cast her gaze across the room and the people in it. Almost immediately she was hit with the intermitted gazes of every man and woman in the room. Not that she blamed them after all she was the only person in the room not wearing any kind of airsoft gear or carrying a weapon.
Or it could also be because she is a very tall, very curvy, very beutiful and very well endowed woman wearing tight jeans, a tank top that seemed more like a sexy sports bra and a jacket halfway zipped up leaving it a mystery as to whether or not it was a deliberate fashion choice. As she casually leaned back with her elbows on the table and crossing one long leg over the other she was very aware that her display aided in emphasizing her chest as well give a view to her thong straps peeking out the sides of her jeans.
Ezraphel ignored the poorly hidden lustful stares as she evaluated the room, the people and the situation finding her feeling on the whole ordeal to be…whelmed. It was as her Stanley stated the interior looked much better and livelier than the exterior but at the same time she found the whole airsoft aesthetic to be rather gauche and the people to be uninteresting in the ways most mundane humans tend to be especially when faced with her kind.
At least her current form didn't evoke the same response her true form did. The whole room didn't stop to prostrate themselves before her but they did stare, some more than others. At least most of them tried to hide their ogling but there was not a single person outside their group whose gaze didn't linger on her form. There was a general slowdown in the previous activities as the men and women attempted to reconcile her presence, ogle her body or gossip. Ezraphel heard all of it, felt all of it as well and while the combined lustful stares and perverted thoughts of two dozen men and women didn't faze her, like at all, she was hardly impressed either.
'Pathetic' she thought with some unexpected harshness.
"Are you okay?"
Her Stanley's voice interrupted her thoughts, he as staring at her with mild concern.
"I am fine Stanley" she replied pleasantly.
"You sure? Because I get the feeling you're pissed about something" and at this he gaze a fierce glare to the nearby men "like a bunch of fucking assholes not minding their own goddamn business!"
Ezraphel felt mana leak through his intent to convey his thoughts setting off several self preservation instincts and causing the men close by to snap their gaze away from them. The territorial display made a smile pull at her lips, her heart skipped a beat, she felt a swell of adoration and a pleasant tingle run through her body.
"I don't mind them" she admitted.
"I know you don't and that's the problem" he scowled before sitting beside her "but that's not what's got you so uptight right now."
"I am not uptight" she huffed folding her arms under her chest incidentally emphasizing them even more.
He gave another glare to potential gawkers before addressing his girlfriend "Ez, what are you doing?"
"What do you mean?"
"You know I don't mind that you don't like airsoft right? You didn't have to come here."
Ezraphel pursed her lips "but I want to be here."
"No you don't" he retorted with a scoff "I think you think you have an obligation to be here because of me. Am I wrong?"
"…"
He wasn't.
Ezraphel didn't need their bond to know that airsoft meant more to him beyond a hobby he indulged in. She has never seen or felt her Stanley so excited about something beyond his videogames or herself. It was a different kind of excitement that was oddly refreshing and because of this it made Ezraphel want to at least give airsoft a fair chance. It was her hope that witnessing him partaking in it firsthand would rouse her interest.
'And if not…'
Her thoughts were interrupted when she felt a hand touch her leg "look I appreciate the uh, support but clearly this is making you uncomfortable and the fact that I noticed this off rip should say a lot."
"Does it really? You are surprisingly perceptive Stanley" she mused.
Stanley glared at her for a moment before sighing internally 'I'm just going to take the compliment.'
"So are you still sticking around?"
"Well it's a bit too late to change my mind" she commented "and besides I mostly came here to watch you and the others anyway."
"They don't have an area for spectators Ez" he deadpanned "you're stuck waiting here for the next two hours."
He was saying that for the eavesdroppers since he knew there was nothing that could prevent her from watching him. If she was being honest however Ezraphel feared she wasn't exactly in the right frame of mind to be enjoying things at the moment.
"We're in" announced Liam as he returned with Amelia practically hanging off his shoulder.
Their return caused the disguised Lilim to acknowledge the other reason why she chose to accompany them. Ezraphel was very aware she was playing a very dangerous yet calculated game with Amelia and should her Stanley find out it would cause some not-so-easily reparable damage to their relationship. He may never fully trust her again yet she was still willing to take the gamble, her instincts told her it was worth the risk.
Amelia was the perfect human to undergo monsterization and Ezraphel had no doubts that the woman would make an absolutely splendid Mamono. She wouldn't have been able to explain this to her Stanley even if she wanted to. Despite becoming an Incubus and receiving the glorious benefits the transformation afforded him Stanley's view on monsterization and corruption in general was largely the same as almost every human she's ever met. Admirable that he was able to keep such reasoning after his transformation through what she could tell wasn't just bullheaded stubbornness but frustrating all the same.
She understood why he felt this way, really she did and to his credit his aversion towards the subject only went as far as the question of consent. If someone agreed to be turned into a mamono or incubus without there being foul play then her Stanley would hardly care about them so long as they did not cause problems for either of them in the future.
In Amelia's case Ezraphel looked into her heart and saw the woman for who she was at her core. All her feelings of insecurity, self doubt and constraints she placed upon herself to fit in with society created a burden that weighed down on her even when she wasn't actively thinking of them. She knew that such a mindset would inevitably affect her negatively in the future and when that inevitably happens Ezraphel wasn't sure Amelia's relationship with Liam would survive the fallout.
They've only known each other for a day but Ezraphel would call Amelia a friend and she was not the kind of person to leave a friend in the lurch. To that end and to ensure that no foul play occurs Ezraphel wasn't just monitoring Amelia's physical transition as there were psychological effects of monsterization that often results in a radical shift in personality. It was to the point that the individual seemed like a completely different person as a mamono from what they were as a human.
There is a misconception that this personality shift is the result of brainwashing or soul suppression. Ezraphel scoffed at the notion and it says something about humanity that in seeing someone truly happy for the first time would cause them to have such thoughts. Though in their defense it would be jarring to see someone they've known for a long time act in completely contrast to their personality so suddenly especially after undergoing a transformation they think to be 'evil.'
It also doesn't help that mamono encourage this kind of unrestrained behavior since it falls in line with their ideals of freedom. Fun fact: humans monsterized outside of another mamono's influence or isolated from other mamono act in a different manner than those who do for the simple fact that they do retain and eventually exhibit someof their past personality traits after the initial euphoria of their transformation wears off.
Explaining this to her Stanley after revealing her gambit prematurely would be useless. He would be too blinded by his anger to see what she was trying to accomplish. She could only do it after her success in aiding Amelia's transition into a mamono and hopefully he sees for himself that her transformation did not overwrite her human personality. Thankfully the task was made easier due to the overall lack of mana present in the environment. It ensured that the Lilim didn't have any interference in manipulating the Demonic Energy within Amelia's body.
And speaking of which…
'Her mana core is still in the development stage.'
With the lack of mana present in them it brought into question whether or into earth humans even had mana cores. Of course being that mana cores are a quintessential part of every sentient being earth humans did in fact have them. After all if they didn't she wouldn't have been able to subsist on her Stanley's spirit energy before he became an incubus. She found that earth human mana cores were 'dormant'for lack of a better term leaving them virtually invisible to even her senses.
"Hey."
A nudge and Stanley's voice interrupted her thoughts "yes?"
"We're leaving now" he said and she saw that the people in the room were indeed getting ready to leave "you gonna be alright by yourself?"
Ezraphel tapped finger to her chin in thought before getting to her full height towering over the shorter man while peering down at him.
Stanley could only look up at her in question "what?"
Then before he could react she pulled down his face mask and gave him a searing kiss that simultaneously broke the hearts and confidence of more than a few men in the room as well as earn their envy and respect.
After a full minute she separated "to answer your question yes I will be fine" then she pecked him on the cheek "that was for good luck."
"Uh-huh" Stanley said dumbly.
That was Kendall's cue to come up and drag him away "come on lover boy."
Jamie stood beside Ezraphel shaking his head at what he just witnessed "I think you just ignited the fury of a dozen nerds with that stunt."
"Stanley will be fine."
"Who's worried about him?" he muttered while walking away.
~Bitter~
As they left the staging area the group of two dozen men and women were led to a spacious interconnected hallway where they were subjected to a gear and weapon check. Every gear must fall under the preapproved standards set by the arena owners which were conveniently outlined on posters placed both in the staging area and on the nearby wall. Every weapon was checked for illegal mods, appropriate bb type, rate of fire, etc. If everything checks out then they are free to enter the arena and if not then they are instructed to change loadout, rent something appropriate at the front or leave.
He'd like to say that everyone already knew the deal but a few guys had to leave for a bit because they brought shooting glasses instead of proper masks and one idiot thought he looked cool with a kerchief over his mouth.
'Fucking amateurs.'
You can always gauge the measure of an airsoft player by the gear they wore and how customized their weapons are. Speaking of weapons there were a few interesting choices seen in terms of customization both tactical and cosmetic. Not that Stanley would judge, on the contrary he could appreciate a good customization within reason. Even the outlandish stuff was better than just your bog standard weapon straight out the going plain over outlandish is better from a tactical standpoint but it was also boring as hell.
This is why he brought with him his VFC M4 Samurai Edge and for his secondary he went with the TTI Combat Master rifle definitely got a few turned heads what with the skeletal frame and neon blue interior but even with its uniqueness it was far from the most attention grabbing weapon in the room. He should know because Stan's attention was caught by those guys as well.
"There are a lot of speedsofters here" Stan noted a particular group.
Next to him Jamie looked in the same direction "how can you tell?"
"I know modded sweat gear when I see it."
Kendrick sighed "there goes our casual play, fucking sweats."
'You said it' he silently agreed.
It was then that both Kendrick and Stanley realized they were receiving deadpan and shifty looks from the rest of the group.
"What?"
Amelia chose to answer "oh nothing just thinking how hypocritical it is hearing two of the sweatiest shooters we know complaining about other sweaty players."
"We only play sweaty in videogames Amelia" Stanley defended.
"Yeah, this was supposed to be our time to have fun and enjoy ourselves" Kendrick added.
"Well it's a good thing we're not sharing the warehouse with those guys" Liam commented as they saw the speedsofter group go in with another group of ultra modders.
The warehouse wasn't a singular arena but rather two arenas partitioned in a bid to host more players. With the arena filled with half rooms, short walls and barrel drums for cover it made for a rather claustrophobic arena which was the point really. The terrain encouraged a slow methodical type of gameplay as opposed to popping off on full auto as Jamie would put it. To this end certain weapons and behavior are banned in this arena.
As for the game itself the staff left that decision up to the teams once they were cleared to play.
"Team deathmatch" Stan immediately spoke.
"You know we could go with variety…for once" Liam stressed "it's not like we can't do other games."
Liam did have a point as there were a number of game types that can be played in the arena. The facility even goes so far as types offering props and even staff members to act as judges to better accommodate those other games. Stanley himself didn't particularly mind playing those games either but they already lost yesterday and everyone was itching to get to the action.
"Hey I'm all for variety but we already lost a day to this shitty weather so we might as well get into it fast" Kendrick explained.
Liam looked to the others "and all of you?"
"I agree with Kendrick, no need to be elaborate with the games."
As for Jamie he shrugged "if it ain't broke"
"Ugh" Liam shook his head in mild disappointment.
In response Amelia patted his back "there, there babe, we can always do other games tomorrow."
Team Deathmatch was a pretty straightforward and simple game type. Players are split into two teams if one player gets hit they go back to a 'respawn point' which is usually on the far end of the arena before they can resume. The team with the most number of kills wins.
Now with the game decided the two teams of six entered the warehouse to begin. Stan and the others have go-pro cameras attached to their helmets because what content creator would give up the opportunity for fresh new content practically being handed to them on a silver platter.
Two ensure maximum coverage the group used a partner system with Kendrick paired with Jamie, Amelia paired with Liam and Stan paired with Kendall. As Kendall was the most cautious player on the team and wasn't in a rush she decided to go last. Stan deferred to her pace this round if only because he knew she couldn't keep up with his sweaty plays. The point was to have fun and as much as Stan liked a full frontal assault he can find entertainment in a surgical precision.
Not even a minute into the game and things were already popping offwith the sporadic sound of airsoft fire as both sides made contact with each other.
One such spray was followed by an unfamiliar voice yelling "hit!"
"What's the play Kendall?"
"Go in from the sides, you lead the way."
"Naturally."
"Shut up and go."
As they crept through the tight half building amalgamations a familiar voice yelled "hit!" in the same general direction.
That was Jamie.
Stan crept careful and deliberate with his rifle trained forward and head on a swivel imagining himself to look like an actual soldier in a warzone. And just like a soldier his ear strained and he held up a fist but unlike he didn't count on Kendall to understand his sudden freeze and instead leaned out with his rifle from a sharp corner and fire in a burst.
"Hit!" a voice called out before the owner walked into view with his hands up in surrender.
Stan leaned out for a bit to survey before ducking back around the corner "I think there's another guy somewhere around there. I'll be bait you flank around back"
Kendall nodded and Stan strafed out the corner gun held up close and tight as his eyes darted around. Not seeing anyone he used hand signals to tell pointed to a specific direction. He heard Kendall move silently back making a sweep of her own. It was risky leaving her alone but in the end it turned out to be the right play. The game was in full swing now and the occasional burst of airsoft mixed with some occasional chatter reached his ears.
Despite the cacophony of noise that echoed through the warehouse Stan was focused and alert completely in his element which is why he was able to see the orange barrel of a rifle peeking out the corner. Reacting with a grace that betrayed his appearance he managed to duck into cover a split second before BBs highlighted by a purple tracer were fired. The tracer made tracking the location much easier, not that he needed it. He returned cover fire for a bit but that was a distraction for Kendall who managed to figure out their location quick.
"Hit!" the unfamiliar voice spoke out after a burst of airsoft fire.
Kendall came from the corner with a triumphant smirk which Stan shared for all of five seconds before…
*Paff-Paff-Paff-Paff*
"Ah! Hit!" Kendall yelled and began walking away but Stan was already moving.
After hearing the boots coming from the corner a lean out from cover had several precision shots impacting the persona and avenging Kendall.
"Hit!"
Creeping out he spied another figure ducking under cover some ways away and he made the decision to backtrack to a previously passed window. Using his small frame and understated strength allowed him to hop over the opening with relative ease and land crouched on the balls of his feet like Spider-Man.
His eyes darting about in time with his rifle.
"Hit!"
'Amelia'
Moments later another "Hit!" sounded but this was followed by a muffled curse that came from behind.
Stan immediately turned just as the other player crept forward from cover apparently wanting to flank him but didn't expect him to use the window as a shortcut between corners. To his credit the guy immediately reacted but Stanley was already had him in his sights and he only managed to turn right into a short hail of BBs.
"Hit!"
Stan noted before…
"Hit!"
'Heh' behind his mask he smirked.
That was Kendrick.
Moving with purpose towards where he heard his teammate's voice. He managed to find Kendrick during his walk of shame.
"Guy coming up" he grunted lowly.
A nod was all Stan gave him before he ducked under cover and listened.
*Squeak*
The sound of sneakers was all the noise he needed to lean out with his rifle and fire a burst shot.
"Hit!"
Stan peeked around the corner to follow the guy leaving and just before he turned the corner his sharp gaze saw a shadow.
"Hit!"
Another from the other team got tagged.
Going past a corner he peeped something black poking out and managed to duck away just in time for a BB to hit where his head would be.
Then a voice adjacent to his position shouted "yo, I got you bro."
"Trust me bro, you didn't" Stan called back and mentally kicked himself for giving away his position as he became acutely aware of a shadow coming up from directly across his cover going for a pincer maneuver.
'Fucking asshole probably did that on purpose' he silently groused.
It didn't matter though since he already pegged the other guy's likely position so the moment he saw a helmet and mask he loosed a burst shot with unerring accuracy pinging a few off the guy's helmet.
There was a yell of "hit!" as the guy flinched and began walking away from the corner tohis team's spawn point.
At the same time the other guy stopped shooting and Stan used the opportunity to creep forward for a flanking maneuver. A quick lean had him see the other guy in mid reload and gave him a couple BBs for his trouble.
"Hit!"
Stan continued deeper into enemy territory.
Later…
"Hit!"
'Another one bites the dust' Stanley mentally sighed.
Just then a horn sounded followed by "that's game!"
"Wait what?" Stanley looked about.
He let his rifle hang from the strap as he pondered while fishing out his phone 'has it already been two hours?'
According to his phone two hourshave indeed passed.
As the other players started walking towards the warehouse entrance Stanley couldn't help but ponder the incredulity of what just took place like "what the actual fuck?"
"What crawled up your ass?"
Stan gave Kendrick a side eyed glance before muttering "nothing."
"Bullshit."
'Fucking…'
He gave an aggravated sigh "I didn't realize time was going by so fast."
Before Kendrick could comment Jamie came up next to Stan and bumped his shoulder "Stan the man looking good cooking up the other team's asses on a fucking grill out there!"
Stan couldn't help but crack a smirk at his friend's description which was pretty much accurate. It has been nothing but domination on Stan's part and because of this they ended up winning by a landslide. Stan ended up separating himself from the rest of his team and earning him the ire of the other team. Even now he could hear the salty mutterings of a few of them crying foul play in spite of proving numerous times that they did not hit him.
"Eh, screw those guys" Kendrick spoke in solidarity "it's not your fault they can't keep up with skill."
'That's not true.'
The other team was actually pretty good but in the face of Stan the Incubus mere humans didn't amount to much. It was actually unfair the advantage his Incubus body gave him which was something he never really put much thought into until ten minutes into the start of the game. Before that he knew he would have some advantages being that he was physically superior to his previous self but given how claustrophobic the arena is and how chaotic airsoft can be he figured the physical differences wouldn't give him too much of an advantage.
He was wrong, Stan was so wrong and those anime, movies and TV shows that portray superhuman battles against normal people had the correct idea. That notion never registered with him given that he's only ever seen live action superhuman feats through at CG. When real people try to copy superhuman feats it always ends either in disaster or something subpar to what is viewed in fiction. For the entirety of that airsoft match Stanley has been experiencing that fiction.
Now this was the first time Stan, as an Incubus, was engaged in rigorous physical activity outside of sex and it proved to be just as much a boon for him in the arena as it was in the bedroom. In short superhuman physicality was indeed bullshit to the point where he realized after one incident where he pulled off an impossible dodge and got into it with the other team that he couldn't just go around the arena kicking ass and taking names John Wick style for the entire duration of the game.
Not an easy feat as time passed since it was time spent getting used to his heightened senses and superhuman physicality in the arena environment. He could not only 'sense' other people through the use of his heightened senses but react in ways that no human should be able to. He could literally matrix bullet dodge BBs and score shots between gaps from ten feet across easily. Finding out that particular fact made him go on a bit of a power trip which led to the other team calling bullshit and accusing him of cheating.
Yeah that tempered his excitement of living a power fantasy real quick because at first the accusation was him lying about not being hit but if anyone managed to get a good look when he does something humanly impossible it might just end up causing more trouble than it was worth. A fact that might come true considering he and his team all had cameras recording their every move. Thus from then on he let himself take hits from the other team which was the only way to make it fair.
And therein lay the problem because now he just found it unfair to both himself and the other players. Unfair that he can't push himself like he used to without raising eyebrows and dropping jaws. As much as he liked a power fantasy part of the fun and enjoyment he got from Airsoft was that it was an activity that pushed him in one of his most lacking areas, fitness. Both the circumstances of his lifestyle and birth left him physically inferior to others and that impacted how good someone is in airsoft. Stan was able to distinguish himself by using skill to compensate for his lack of physical ability.
Now that gap between his skill and physical ability was not only bridged but exceeded with him becoming an Incubus. Now he felt like a videogame character having finished the story mode once and going through a new game plus with all his boosted stats and achievements intact. He needed to hold back and let himself get tagged just to give the other team a fighting chance and to let everyone else on his team have fun.
"Man that was hectic" Liam came up removing his mask and wiping the sweat from his brow.
Beside him Amelia was panting like a dog while fanning herself "need hydration stat!"
Stan didn't share their enthusiasm or worry because even after two hours of airsoft play and Stan wasn't really breathing hard and hardly broke a sweat. Frankly Ezraphel has given him more of a workout in half an hour than the entire game did in two hours. No necessarily a fair comparison since the Lilim was literally sucking his life force through his dick but it is what it is.
As they came back into the staging area he was greeted by his girlfriend "Stanley!"
'Oh good' he thought to himself sarcastically while managing to pull off his face mask before Ezraphel swept him up in her arms and proceeded to dab his face in kisses much to the amusement and jealousy of the onlookers.
"I've missed you~"
Stanley could only roll his eyes both at her and the people not so subtly watching them. Yet despite this seemingly innocuous action Ezraphel's eyes narrowed minutely as she regarded him.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing"
"You're lying"
'What the fuck is up with people reading me today?'
Was his disgruntlement that transparent?
"Ugh, look it's not a big deal or anything."
He wouldn't say potentially losing airsoft as a viable fun activity due to his sudden onset of overpowered-ness was nothing but…
"I just need some time to think."
"Is there any way I can help?"
"You can help by putting me down, we're making a scene."
She was literally standing in the middle of the staging area holding him off the ground in a bear hug. It spoke a lot about how done Stanley was that he didn't even care Amelia was taking pics of his precarious position.
Ezraphel's brows furrowed in concern but she did put him down though with a few ominous parting words.
"Tonight we will be talking about this" she warned.
He almost responded with "is that before or after you suck my dick?" but thought better of it.
With that interaction done she sauntered over to talk with Amelia who was gaining a few glancing looks with how sweaty she'd gotten and apparently unafraid of the consequences of dousing her head in water which will inevitably seep into her clothes
The whole thing brought a raised eyebrow to Stanley's face "what's up with her?"
"Amelia was going pretty hard in there" Jamie answered.
"Really?"
"Pretty sure she racked the most kills after you."
"Huh."
His response caused Jamie to glance at him "what you mean you didn't see it?"
"Um" he trailed off as now that he thought about it "I barely saw her at all the entire match."
That got a raised eyebrow from the two "that's weird."
That is weird because the arena wasn't large nor was it a convoluted maze and while they put up an antagonistic front (and actually do have grievances with each other) it wasn't to the point where they deliberately avoid each other on the field, they were still teammates.
"Makes sense actually" Kendall piped up having overheard them "she's stuck close to Liam the entire game."
"Oh…"
'Now that I think about it I barely worked with Liam the entire game too.'
For arenas like this and with Stan's current circumstances it was in his best interest to not be in the company of other people especially his teammates who all have body cameras. So at best he worked with one other teammate or go solo. In fact the more he thought of Amelia and Liam the more he remembered just turning away from the pair whenever he sees them or going another route to assist them. The thought brought forth his growing frustrations and distress he felt at the prospect of losing interest in his favorite outdoor activity.
This whole affair left a bitter taste in his mouth.
~Sweet~
"Are you alright?"
A panting Amelia looked to the mildly concerned Ezraphel with a smile on her face "yeah, I'm good. I just need to catch my breath. Pheew~ that last match was fucking hectic."
"Here"
Amelia blinked at the bottle of water in front of her 'did she always have that?'
Shaking her head the redhead grateful accepted it and proceeded to take long gulps from the bottle before up ending the rest on top of her head after which she handed the empty bottle back to Ezraphel.
"Thanks for that" she smiled then looked down at her now wet shirt with a frown "in hindsight maybe I shouldn't have done that."
"Perhaps" Ezraphel edged.
Eventually Amelia shrugged "oh well. Man I am on fire today!"
"I'll say" Liam spoke as he came up but before he could continue the line of dialogue Amelia was already upon him.
"Hey babe~" she cooed wrapping her arms around his neck and planting a kiss on his lips.
Liam reciprocated for a moment before realizing where he was and gently pushing her off "okay, okay I don't think others appreciate watching us get all lovey dovey."
Amelia cast a glance around and shrugged "fuck em."
Then she went in for his lips again only to be more sternly rebuffed "Amelia no."
"Amelia yes!"
"Might want to get the spray bottle for her Liam" Stan suddenly piped up "it worked wonders for me."
Amelia snorted "unlike you he doesn't need a bottle to get me wet~"
For a brief moment Stanley looked at Amelia then cast a sideways glance at Ezraphel who could only blink at his look.
"What?" she asked in mild confusion.
Turning back to Liam with a deadpan he spoke "yeah you're on your own."
"Ha!" Amelia's victory was followed by her hanging off Liam's arm as the man hurriedly walked out of the building with an awkward gait.
"You mind giving me some space Amy?"
"Nope" her response was quick.
Stan looked to the couple with narrowed eyes "hey I'll tell you right now save that lovey dovey crap for when we get back to the house or you're finding alternate forms of transport!"
"Good thing you're a fitness nut eh, Liam?"
"Stanley" Ezraphel's disproving tone did nothing to dissuade.
"Hey it's not for my benefit Ez, I'm just looking out for whoever as to sit beside them" he fished out the keys to his car and disabled the alarm "by the way who is that again?"
"Not it!"
"Not it!"
All eyes went to Kendall who up to this point was eyes deep in her phone. Seeming to sense their stares the woman looked around with mild confusion.
"What?"
"Congratulations you're sitting next to Liam and Amelia."
Kendall's eyes widened as she looked to said couple with Liam giving an awkward shrug while Amy gave a cheery smile and wave as she half hung off his arm like a limpet. Then her gaze went to Kendrick and Jamie who could only offer her solemn nods.
Jamie even gave a salute "godspeed Kendall."
"Oh you mother fuckers…" she trailed off before growling "fine but you two idiots start sucking face and I'm punting you both into oncoming traffic."
And she meant it too yet unfortunately for her in order to make this setup viable without incident she had to sit between them.
Looking over her shoulder at a more comfortable Kendrick and Jamie she spoke four words that sent a chill down their spine "I will remember this."
The overall drive back was filled with chatter as everyone highlighted parts of the game. By far the standouts in this discussion were Stan and Amelia. In Jamie's own words Stan was like a machine, going around and clearing the arena with the kind of surgical precision reminiscent of the Terminator. Even Kendrick begrudgingly titled him Stan Wick with his precision shots and overall kill/death ratio. Amelia on the other hand was the complete opposite in terms of gameplay, throwing out the slow methodical approach for a more frantic and fast pace play. This was especially surprising since Amelia wasn't exactly known for being frantic during airsoft gameplay.
Amelia herself was surprised with how she did things in the arena and when asked why she did it she couldn't give a concrete answer. Things started out well enough at first with her and Liam going in it as a pair. She acted as the point guard while he supported her from a few paces back. That was how they usually did things and she stuck with that play for a while yet the more time she spent in the arena the more restless she became. For whatever reason Amelia's pulse spiked, her excitement elevated along with the beat of her heart and her blood sang pumping adrenaline through her veins.
She felt so constrained moving around at what she perceived as a snail's pace, having to stop and pause every other minute and especially in shootouts. It was such an odd sensation for her to experience but one that she couldn't deny and the result was the downright reckless sweaty play. Amelia's kill/death ratio wasn't good which made sense given how reckless she was but none of that really mattered to her since had fun.
Now if only she could ride the high off her adrenaline snuggled up next to Liam things would be better. Unfortunately there was a disgruntled obstacle between her and her fiancé in the form of Kendall and not even Amelia in her current state would dare to cross her.
The moment they got back Amelia continued to surprise her friends with her odd behavior by jumping on Liam's back.
"Amy!?" he shouted in shock while attempting to compensate for the sudden added weight "what the hell!?"
"Carry me" she said simply.
"Are you being serious right now?"
"Yes" she locked her legs around him "think of this as practice for when you have to carry me over the threshold."
At that sentence Kendrick looked to Stan "really nothing to say to that?"
"Too easy" he scoffed.
Ignoring that byplay Liam sighed "this isn't funny Amy"
"I'm not joking, now onwards to the bedroom!"
Liam glanced at the others who were understandably shocked, bemused and more than a little put off by Amelia's behavior.
"Just go" all eyes turned to Stan who rolled his eyes "we'll take care of your gear."
"You heard the troll now giddy up~" she leaned in close to his ear and whispered "and you better hurry otherwise I won't reward you when we get there~" this made Liam stiffen up before leaving his friends with a laughing Amelia on his back.
A few minutes and some awkward steps later the pair made it inside their temporary abode "okay we're here" Liam announced "mind getting off my back now?"
"Aw and I was just getting comfortable" she pouted.
"You know you're heavier than you look right?"
He got a slap to the back of his head for that along with a playful "shut up."
Despite the joviality of the atmosphere Liam's expression turned a shade more serious something she noticed.
"What?"
"Are you feeling alright?"
Amelia frowned "is this about what happened in the arena?"
"Yeah can we both agree that you don't usually act like that."
She could give him that but ultimately she shrugged "what can I say? I felt like changing my play style. Variety is the spice of life after all."
"That's not what I meant and you know it."
"Then what do you mean?"
He made to reply but paused and took a breath before continuing in a measured tone "you've been really clingy for a while now."
Amelia frowned at his words and reaction "is that a bad thing?"
"I'm not saying it is" he quickly added "it's just…weird."
"I'm your fiancée."
Liam gave her a deadpan stare "you stuck to me the entire game."
"So?"
"You insisted on making out with me every time either of us takes someone out."
"Yeah so?"
"And whenever we meet up at respawn."
Liam was pretty sure he became even more hated than Stan which is quite a feat.
Again she shrugged "I don't see what's weird about that."
Liam was lost for words and seeing this Amelia embraced him with her arms around his head.
"Okay that was a joke" she said whilst approaching him with a sensual gait "I get it, I'm being just a little overbearing."
"A little?"
Gently she embraced him with her arms around his head "or maybe a lot, does it really matter though?"
"I'm just con-" he was interrupted by her planting a kiss on his lips.
"Concerned I know and I love you for it but" she planted another kiss on his lips "sometimes you just have to embrace the chaos."
Again Liam gave her a deadpan stare as he repeated "embrace the chaos?"
"That's right" she nodded sagely.
Liam snorted "you know for a second there I thought you were going to hit me with something profound."
"What are you talking about? 'Embrace the chaos' is some peak profound shit."
"No that's peak redditor shit."
"…oh god you're right."
"Pfft…"
"Don't laugh!" Amelia blushed as she whacked him
"I can't help it!"
"You know just for that I don't think I'll be giving you that reward."
This had Liam pause "really?"
"Hmm, nope" and before Liam could react Amelia bodily spun them around and pushed him onto the bed in a bout of shocking speed and strength.
"Oof!" Liam managed to get his bearings in time to witness his girlfriend fiancée taking off her shirt "can't we at least wait until after we take a bath?"
This brought a sly smile to her face "are you suggesting we shower together~"
"Uh…"
"Sorry babe but that would be too suspicious and I think the others are onto us already."
"Because we've been discreet so far" he mumbled.
He did have a point, everyone already knew about their activities last night and she wasn't exactly being subtle with her intentions just now.
"They'll get over it but tell you what I'll give you a choice. You can put this off until later or…" she dropped to her knees and crawled to between his legs "I can suck you off."
"...what?"
"You heard me" she continued coyly "your dick. My mouth. Right now."
For a long moment Liam looked to his fiancée with wide eyes as confliction warred in his mind. Putting this off until later preferably when they were back to their home would not only be the smart thing to do but it would also salvage a bit of both their dignities in the eyes of their friends. Amelia's reputation was fine with him because everyone knew it to be a persona and she wasn't actually a horny nympho. The last thing he wanted was to have that image all but cemented into the minds of his friends.
On the other hand his incredibly beautiful and sexy fiancée was on her knees offering to give him sloppy toppy...
Ten Minutes Later…
Amelia left the bedroom with a change of clothes in hand, red tinged cheeks, a heady sensation in her brain and cum swishing in her mouth. Liam was left laying flat on his back in the bedroom, his mind still reeling from the best blowjob he's ever had. The moment Amelia entered the bathroom she stripped her clothes off a relief given that were damp with sweat and (in the case of her shirt) water from earlier.
"Hm?" it wasn't until she stripped off her panties that things took a turn for the weird.
'That's not sweat'
A single curious hand between her legs revealed two things:
"Ahn~"
First she was wet and not the typical kind either this was hentai levels of exaggerated wetness which was alarming since women don't get this wet unless they were pissing themselves. That bit of concern was overwritten by just how sensitive her vagina turned out to be. As single touch was enough to send a jolt of pleasure up her spine and before she knew it she was masturbating with her back against the bathroom door.
As she continued to rub, tease and finger herself her back hit the door and she slid down to sit on her butt. She barely noticed this as her mind was preoccupied by the pleasure and thoughts of her fiancé. It helped that she could still taste him in her mouth only served to enhance the experience until eventually…
"Oh Fuuuck~"
Amelia's orgasm hit her like a strike of lightning resulting in a full body shudder and belatedly she realized that she was also squirting which has never happened before. For minutes Amelia sat on the floor of the bathroom in a dazed state as she recovered from the high of the strongest orgasm in her life. Eventually her vision cleared and her some semblance of her senses returned. She attempted to stand an action that was made significantly more difficult due to her shaking knees.
"Come on Amy, get up" she struggled using the walls before hanging off the sink to get to her feet.
As she did Amelia caught her reflection in the mirror and froze. She looked like a mess her hair was disheveled and sweat creased her forehead but for some reason she sported a rather dopey smile on her face. Those didn't catch her attention as her eyes, the once brown orbs were now shining a deep red. To ensure that she was not going through some kind of post orgasm hallucination Amelia dared not blink as she reached her hand up. Shakily her hand made contact with her face then the mirror and throughout it all her eyes still remained red and shining.
"What's happening to me?"
And suddenly her actions throughout the day came back to her. Each and every questionable and otherwise out of character thing she'd done were recollected in the span of several seconds. Amelia was startled to find just how much she accumulated and the fact that never questioned it, not once.
Yet despite the clear alarm she should have felt in that moment…
"Heh…"
Amelia could not for the life of her wipe the smile off her face…
"Hehehe…"
Because in her entire life she's never felt so good…
'That's not true'
Immediately the memory of Liam and what she did to him entered her mind but more than that was the pleasantly startling realization she could recall everything about in perfect clarity. The scent of his musk on her nostrils, the feel of his member in her mouth and the flavor of his essence on her tongue the latter of which she could still taste.
He tasted…sweet.
