Disclaimers: This is a crossover between Sailor Moon and Digimon. I do not own these two shows. Sailor Moon is written by Naoko Takeuchi in manga form and aired as a series by Toei Animation and TV Asahi in Japan and by Kodansha Comics in North America. Digimon is produced by Toei Animation and Bandai of Japan that began in 1999.
"What do you mean they are Spirit Warriors?!"
It has been a week since the other Digidestined saw the Spirit Warriors, along with the Senshi and two geniuses. It has been a week since the aforementioned Digidestined came back from the Spirit Warriors' Digital World. Upon returning, the Spirit Warriors and the Senshi called their fellow Digidestined to tell them that they were back. What the other Digidestined didn't know about was that the Spirit Warriors all gained three new members when they came back. Once everyone met at Motoki's arcade/karaoke place, the Spirit Warriors were already there, Takuya's arm around Usagi's shoulders. That sight made everyone pause before looking at Usagi's actual boyfriend, Taiki. Taiki, on his part, was mentally twitching, but on the outside, Taiki was calm as he sat across from Takuya and Usagi. It wasn't long that the Spirit Warriors told them that Usagi, Motoki, and Naru were now one of them. "It's exactly what we said," said Kōichi, "Somehow, the last three Spirits chose those three to be Shamans to them."
"It took all of us by surprise when we found out," said Junpei.
"Especially when we were there with them," said Hotaru.
"Speak for yourself," said Izumi with crossed arms, "We had to split up to retrieve our Spirits, remember?"
"Technically, I am surprised that onīsan, the both of them, let me go off alone with Naru-chan," said Hotaru.
"You ARE the only one that still has her Spirits with her," said a grumpy Tomoki, "And I still think that's a bit unfair."
"Wait a minute," said Masaru with a frown, "Naru was with Hotaru… by herself?"
"I have Cutemon with me," said Naru with her arms crossed.
As Masaru and Naru argued about her own safety, the others looked at Motoki and Usagi in surprise. They didn't think that the three would wound up with more Digimon, even if these Digimon are Spirits. Motoki sheepishly looked at everyone before producing a yellow and silver D-Tector from his pocket, Usagi copying Motoki's reveal with her light blue and silver D-Tector. They could also see the symbols of their respective Spirits on the screen, yet the only ones who know which symbol goes to whom were the original Spirit Warriors and probably Izzy and Ken. Confused by the symbol, they all turned to look at the aforementioned people in expectant. "Why are you staring at us," questioned Takuya slowly.
"Which Spirits did they inherit," questioned Taichi.
"Yeah," said Yamato, "And do we have to be prepared to help them control those powers?"
"Not really," said Junpei.
"As for the Spirits," said Takuya, "Motoki has the Spirit of Wood, Naru has the Spirit of Earth, and Usa-chan has the Spirit of Water."
"Ah, I see," said Yamato before an eyebrow raised, "Usa-chan, Takuya?"
"Well, spending time with her for months," said Takuya, "We've gotten to know each other better."
"Eh," exclaimed everyone, "Months?!"
Those that weren't exclaiming anything were the Spirit Warriors, the two geniuses Izzy and Ken, and the Senshi. Naru groaned out when Takuya revealed how long they all were in the Digital World. Izzy and Ken were just ignoring the stares they were getting as they try to compile data with Jenrya and Thomas who were looking at the pair in surprise. Motoki was whistling while he continuously wiped the counter top nervously. He wasn't sure what to do about that revelation as Takato stared at him in shock. Yamato and Takeru, on the other hand, were staring at Taiki. They wanted to see what his reaction was to Usagi being with Takuya for months… apparently. "How can you be gone for months," questioned Sora.
"Our Digital World isn't like yours," said Kōji, "Ours didn't really sync well with the Human World."
"I blame Lucemon: Shadowlord Mode," said Tomoki.
"Mode," choked out Jō, "He had a mode?!"
"He had several," revealed Izumi.
"Anyways," said Yoshino, "It seems that you and Usagi became cozy with each other."
Takuya and Usagi blinked together before turning towards one another. Seeing how close the two had gotten, Takuya and Usagi moved away from each other slightly. Both of their cheeks were flushed a bit red, leaving certain people feeling jealous at the closeness. Yamato and Takeru snickered inwardly when they saw Taiki having a twitching eye, indicating that he was feeling jealous at the closeness. They could also see Izumi having a slight twitching eye at how close the two had gotten. The siblings looked at each other before nodding their head. "Since this meeting is essentially an update," said Yamato, "As an older brother, I would like to talk to Takuya and Usagi alone about those months they were alone together."
"Same here," said Takeru, "Usagi is my imōto, too. I am also sure that Takato and Motoki would LOVE to be in this private chat of ours."
"I would love to," said Takato with a grin.
"Don't let the door hit you on the way out," said Motoki as he grabbed Takuya's arm and dragged him to the back and upstairs.
"Don't hurt him too badly," said an amused Naru.
"I'll make sure of it," sighed Usagi as she followed Motoki and Takuya to the back.
"Should we also be in this meeting," questioned Hotaru.
"I'm sure Usa-chan and Toki-kun will inform us," said Naru, "Now, how about we hang out together? Just the two of us, of course."
"What," squawked out Masaru, "You don't want to hang out with your onīsan instead?"
- In The Back –
"Did you had to LITERALLY drag me to one of the guest rooms," questioned Takuya with a glare.
When the aforementioned family and Takuya were in the back, Motoki didn't stop until they were actually in Usagi's bedroom. No one stopped Motoki from manhandling Takuya because they, too, felt like they shouldn't have let the two be alone together… unsupervised. To be fair to Motoki, he didn't even know that it would take MONTHS until they all got back together as a group. Usagi sighed at how overprotective they were all being as she settled down next to Takuya. She knew, in her heart, that Takuya was not the one for her, Takuya feeling the same. They just didn't decide to tell everyone about it because they had more bigger problems to deal with… a.k.a. a Lucemon Metalia. However, she also knew that her overprotective relatives will want know what happened all those months ago. "Uh, Takuya," said Usagi, "This is my bedroom."
"Oh," said Takuya as he looked around the room, "Cute."
"Thanks," questioned Usagi.
"Anyways," said Takeru who eyed Takuya with new eyes, "Tell us what happened during those so-called months away from everyone."
"Hai," said Yamato with narrowed eyes, "What happened?"
"Well…"
- Flashback –
"You're a Spirit Warrior as well," exclaimed Takuya.
Usagi and Takuya were still looking in shock wonder on the new D-Tector. After becoming a Senshi Knight, Takuya thought that nothing else would surprise him. Takuya, however, was proven wrong just by the Spirit of Water creating a D-Tector and flying straight into Usagi's hands. Takuya then looked at Usagi who looked at the D-Tector in wonder before looking at Takuya. "Do you think the others are going to be the same," questioned Usagi.
"What do you mean," questioned Takuya.
"Three new people venturing out with you originals? It's NOT just a coincidence," pointed out Usagi, "I mean, you all told us all that there were three Spirits who are still evil. And now, the Spirit of Water gave me its own D-Tector, said spirit laying INSIDE of it."
"Gotcha," said Takuya with realization, "And now you think that the other two will do something similar with Naru and Motoki."
"Just a feeling," said Usagi, "Anyways, shall we continue?"
Takuya just nodded his head as the two ventured more towards the seas. Takuya remembered that that was where the originals saw Usagi's Beast Spirit of Water. However, they also had to make a detour towards the town that does fortune telling. He just hope that HIS Beast Spirit of Fire will not decide to test him again. He really doesn't want to hurt Usagi if he was being tested again. As the two ventured together, they both started to slowly get to know one another. Usagi found out that Takuya was an older brother to someone Tomoki's age and viewed Tomoki as another otōto. Takuya found out that Usagi was very apprehensive on them all being Sailor Senshi. He can tell that Usagi still felt that she was dooming everyone to a life of misery just by being a Senshi and fighting evil monsters. Though, the one thing that irked him was… "Taiki-san really said that," questioned an incredulous Takuya.
"Hai," said Usagi softly, "He just gave me permission to date you all right before Masaru-san and the others came back from their Digital World. Then, there was organizing this adventure to find your Spirits."
"I can't believe he would do that," said Takuya, "If I was yours, I would just say to follow your heart, but uh… Takuya stutters. Not that I'm yours or anything. I mean…"
"I get what you mean," giggles Usagi, "Though, now you know why we were paired together."
Takuya nodded his head. He was confused on why he was being paired up with Usagi. It would have been fine if the reason was that Usagi was giving him more time to adjust being a Senshi Knight under her tutelage, yet here was Usagi telling him differently. It wasn't so bad that they got to know one another, especially when Takuya had more knowledge in accessing the Spirit's powers outside of being a Digimon. But, this? Taiki was probably under some spell or something if he thought that THIS was the way to go. Takuya mentally shook his head right when the two found themselves among the throes of Digimon buying things from certain vendors. "Well, here we are," said Takuya.
"This is the fortune telling place that has your Beast Spirit," questioned Usagi.
"Mhm," nodded Takuya, "I just hope that my Beast Spirit isn't in Shamanmon's boomerang again."
- Flashback Interrupted –
"Again," yelped out Takato in surprise.
"Oh yeah," said Takuya, "Apparently, the Beast Spirit was chilling inside Shamanmon's boomerang before possessing said Digimon with its powers until I claimed it and was tested."
"I was also surprised to hear about that incident too," said Usagi.
"Glad that Shamanmon was fine with telling me where my Beast Spirit was again," said a sheepish Takuya.
"That poor Mon," said Lunamon with a shake of her head, Gabumon and Patamon agreeing wholeheartedly.
"Anyways…"
- Flashback Restarts –
After talking to Shamanmon, Takuya insisted that Usagi and he check out the bazaar that every Digimon was walking around in. Takuya also explained that he and the others never really got to explore this place since Grumblemon attacked before the originals could. Usagi smiled gently and agreed before the both took off together, Takuya as the lead. Takuya and Usagi found various objects that looked intriguing or confusing. Takuya, however, was smiling when he saw Usagi relax more as they continue to look around and, to Takuya's shudder, shop. He was glad that he could ebb away Usagi's sadness slightly before finding something at the corner of his eye. Quickly seeing that Usagi was engrossed with another stall, Takuya quickly went into where he saw the something before coming back out and next to Usagi. "Ready to get my Beast Spirit, Usa," questioned Takuya.
"You bet," said Usagi as she finally grabbed some purchases.
"You bought something," asked Takuya.
"Mhm," hummed Usagi happily, "Something for my relatives for Christmas."
- Flashback Interrupted –
"You got us something," questioned Motoki with a smile.
"Yeah," said Usagi, "Though, you'll find out way later."
"Christmas is so far away though," whined Takeru.
"Too bad," sang Usagi.
"And Takuya," questioned Yamato, "Don't think we didn't hear you talking about you finding something. So, what did you get?"
"Something," said Takuya with a small red hue on his cheeks.
- Flashback Continued –
Once the two walked out towards the forest surrounding the fortune telling bazaar place, Takuya was quick to find his Beast Spirit and capture it into his D-Tector. He sighed in relief when he didn't immediately turn into a raging beast again. The first time was always a fright, especially when he still has nightmares about harming his little brother in all but blood. Usagi, feeling his emotions, hugged him in comfort. She could tell that something happened, but she wouldn't pry. Takuya gave a thankful look to Usagi before stepping out of her embrace. "Ready to meet Vritramon," questioned Takuya with a smirk.
"Vritramon," questioned Usagi.
"Un," nodded Takuya, "Vritramon is the Beast Spirit of Flame, just like Calamaramon is the Beast Spirit of Water."
"Cala- Don't tell me that I'm going to be turning into a squid woman," groaned out Usagi.
"Okay," said Takuya with a laugh, "I won't."
Usagi glowered at Takuya just as fractal codes formed around his hand. Scanning the fractal codes, Takuya changed into a dragon Digimon who has avian characteristics. Usagi looked very surprised by the change before smiling widely. She never knew that Takuya turned into a dragon of all beasts, but his characteristics looked very interesting. She could see that this Digimon was also standing like a human being. "Cool, huh," said a smug Takuya.
"Very cool," said Usagi, "I never knew you could change into a dragon!"
"Huh," said Takuya, "No one ever said that to me before."
"Really," questioned Usagi.
"Yup," said Takuya, "Anyways, hop on! I'll take you to where your Beast Spirit is."
Usagi looked a bit nervous, but Takuya reassured her that he wouldn't let anything happen to her. To be on the safe side, Usagi took out her Tsukaimon and digivolved him into Pidmon. Pidmon then followed Usagi and Takuya, as Vritramon, staying close just to keep his partner safe. It wasn't long that Pidmon stood at the ready once a water attack happened to the two. Usagi and Takuya swerved a bit before looking down to see a semi-humanoid Digimon whose lower body is a giant squid. "That's what I will turn into," questioned Usagi incredulously.
"At least, when you combine with Ranamon, your Human Spirit, you'll be AncientMermaimon," said Takuya, "I heard that it resembles a beautiful mermaid."
"Great," said Usagi, "I'll be Ariel then."
"Demo," said Takuya, "A pretty Ariel, too."
Usagi blushed at Takuya while inwardly, Takuya cursed. He wasn't trying to make Usagi doubt her love for Taiki, but he couldn't help wanting to make her feel better. It also didn't help that after gaining Calamaramon, Takuya accidentally kissed Usagi in gratitude. Of course, he would because he almost drowned if not for Usagi learning to master her water powers without transforming into Digimon. "Gomen," squeaked out Takuya.
"W-Why did you," questioned Usagi.
"In the moment," said Takuya with a flush of his cheeks, "Thanks for saving me from drowning after capturing Calamaramon in your D-Tector."
"A-Ah," said Usagi, "It wasn't a problem. You are important to me."
"Y-You didn't feel anything in that kiss, did you," questioned a curious Takuya.
"Gomen, demo, īe," said Usagi, "It felt like your love was for another?"
Takuya scratched a bit of his right cheek in embarrassment. He figured that she wouldn't feel the love for her as strongly as he felt for another Spirit Warrior. He knew that this kiss was a bit of a mistake, yet he was also glad for it. Now, both Usagi and Takuya knew that the both of them felt nothing for each other, but just admiration for each other's lives. Takuya was sure he was very inspired by Usagi's story and wants to be a better person to be called one of her Senshi. Usagi was just enraptured by Takuya's leadership skills after he grew up some from coming back as a Flamon. "Yeah," said Takuya, "After this, I'm definitely going to talk with Izumi."
"I'm glad that you realized you have a major love crush on her," teased Usagi.
"Well," said Takuya with a shrug and red cheeks, "At least you know that we will not be the most compatible couple."
"True," said Usagi, "Demo, for what it's worth, if I wasn't in love with Taiki, you would easily have a chance."
"Same with me, but with Izumi," said Takuya with an understanding smile.
- End Flashback –
"You kissed," questioned Takato.
"Accidentally," said Takuya with a flush, "Besides, I'll be asking the one girl I love since meeting her in our adventure."
"Ah, young love," teased Motoki.
Yamato and Takeru didn't know how to respond. On the one hand, Takuya and Usagi realized they weren't compatible at all. Yet, on the other hand, Takuya KISSED their imōto. Yamato and Takeru looked at one another before sighing in relief. They will look on the bright side and hope that Daisuke and Taichi realized that they don't really love Usagi like a lover, but hopefully as a friend, too. Takuya sighed inwardly because he was NOT going to go toe to toe with older overprotective brothers. "So," said Takuya, "Now that you know, who's next in dating Usagi."
"You say it like it's a bad thing," said Solarmon.
"Is it a bad thing," questioned Guilmon.
"Īe," said Takuya, "Just that what Taiki is letting Usagi do by testing their love this way. It seems that he doesn't trust Usagi to choose him?"
"I blame the Ginzuishō for this mess," said Motoki with a sigh.
"Yeah," agreed everyone.
AN: I was not planning for this chapter to be long, but… I guess all these words just spilled out? ( 。•_• 。) Like I ship Usagi with any characters, including Digimon characters, but sometimes, the plot runs away from me whenever I type something up. （。-＿-。）Like right now! I know I said this would be a Takuya & Usagi kind of chapter, but having it this long? Guess I'm compensating for being days away from this fanfic?
