Disclaimers: This is a crossover between Sailor Moon and Digimon. I do not own these two shows. Sailor Moon is written by Naoko Takeuchi in manga form and aired as a series by Toei Animation and TV Asahi in Japan and by Kodansha Comics in North America. Digimon is produced by Toei Animation and Bandai of Japan that began in 1999.
"So," said Naru, "How was the date with Daisuke?"
It was a typical school day. The holidays were over long ago, and everyone was back in school. Naru and Hotaru were thankful that they have gotten permission from their parents to transfer into Usagi's school. The three original Senshi were walking together towards a Sakura tree, the lunch bell having just rung. The three could see Taiki trying not to come over as he walked towards Yuu and Akari for lunch. Usagi sighed as she saw that at her seat underneath the aforementioned tree. Naru and Hotaru could tell that Usagi didn't really like what was happening between Taiki and her, but the two couldn't do anything. It wasn't until they started to eat their lunch when Naru asked about the latest date with Daisuke. "It… was something," said Usagi.
"You didn't like it," said Hotaru.
"Īe," said Usagi, "All he talked about was Kari-chan."
"That boy," sighed Naru, "I guess his first crush on Kari-san is stronger than what the Ginzuishō predicted."
"Mhm," agreed Hotaru, "Anyways, there's still Taichi-san to date before you can be with Taiki-san, ne?"
Usagi just shrugged her shoulders at what Hotaru was saying. Personally, she was dreading her time with Taichi. What happens if her old crush on him resurfaces? She couldn't handle it if that was the case. She resolved that she would date Taiki and knew that her feelings for him were genuine. Yet, this was Taichi. He, along with the original Ōdaiba Digidestined, was the one to visit with Yamato and Takeru. He was there when Taiki and Usagi were only friends. He was also the one who listened to her when she wanted to be called Usagi. She also knew that her crush on Taichi was way before she had gotten together with Taiki. Sighing inwardly, Usagi picked on her lunch while Naru and Hotaru looked at her. "Daijōbu, Usa-chan," questioned Naru.
"Un," nodded Usagi, "Demo, I am just worried."
"Why would you be worried," questioned Hotaru.
"You must know that I have… that I HAD a crush on Taichi before realizing my feelings for Taiki," said Usagi.
"Hai," questioned Naru while Hotaru nodded in agreement.
"What happens if that crush comes back," questioned Usagi, "I know that Taiki is worried I wouldn't actually have feelings for him while dating the other suitors, demo…"
"I'm sure that there is nothing to worry about," said Hotaru who exchanged glances with Naru.
"Sō, sō (Yes, yes)," said Naru encouragingly, "You love Taiki, don't you?"
"Of course, I do," said Usagi.
"Then, there's nothing to worry about," said the two girls.
Usagi smiled at her two friends before shoving her lunch into her mouth, and just in time too, for the bell rang to signal the end of lunchtime. As Usagi left Hotaru and Naru to her own class, the two aforementioned girls looked at each other again. They had totally forgotten about Usagi's crush on Taichi before it ebbed away and moved on to her new beau, Kudō Taiki. Hotaru bit her lower lip before… "You think we should worry about Usagi and Taichi forming a relationship," questioned Hotaru.
"I… I don't know," said Naru, "Demo, I'm sure that it will be fine?"
"Right," said Hotaru, "We should just hope that everything sorts itself out, ne?"
"Un," nodded Naru, "Besides, what's the worst that could happen?"
"Taiki becoming evil," questioned Hotaru.
"Yeah," said Naru while stretching the word, "Let's not thing about the worst. Let's just hope for the best."
"Un," nodded Hotaru, "Besides, the worst thing that could happen would be Taiki AND Taichi forming a soul bond to Usagi, thus making Usagi's overprotective relatives try to kill Taiki and Taichi."
"That would be a sight to see," laughed out Naru.
- Taichi & Usagi's Date Day –
"Abunai (Watch out)," called out Taichi as he pushed Usagi away from an attack.
It was supposed to be a NORMAL date. Taichi knew that Yamato and Takeru were counting on him to keep Usagi safe while on said date. Taichi, on his part, woke up to a sunny day with his imōto grinning at him from his bedside. Taichi was glad he didn't physically jump out of his skin when he saw his grinning imōto as he watched her go around his bedroom and throw clothes at him to change into. Afterwards, he was accosted by Yamato and Takeru on the way to the subway station to go towards Kōtō. He could still feel the glaring protectiveness coming from Yamato and Takeru as they slightly threatened him harm for not keeping their imōto safe. Then, Taichi's breath got taken away when he gazed at Usagi at the distance while Yamato and Takeru patted him on the shoulders. He felt like those two brothers trusted HIM more than Taiki right now, but he would wonder why after spending time with Usagi. The date itself was fine, one of the better dates he's been on in a while. He knew, however, that it couldn't last long as a Digimon came out of nowhere and started to attack. Thus, leading him to be on top of Usagi and shielding her from said attack. "Daijōbu," questioned Taichi who looked at Usagi worried.
"D-Daijōbu," said Usagi, "Demo, please get off of me? You are crushing me."
"A-Ah, gomen," said Taichi who sprung off of Usagi before helping her up.
"At least, it's not a Youma," said Usagi.
"You think Metalia is changing things up," questioned Taichi.
"Probably," said Usagi who took out her Xros Loader.
With that, Usagi called out Taichi's Agumon and her BlackAgumon. Both Agumons looked at their partners before turning to look at the Digimon in front of them. It looked like a Cyborg dinosaur dressed up with military attire. There was also a scanner-like eye in one of its eyes. BlackAgumon looked aghast when he saw the Digimon in front of him. He could remember his fellow virus Digimon fleeing from this particular Digimon. "Usa-chan," said BlackAgumon, "T-That's…"
"I know," said Usagi with a worried look, "Sealsdramon."
"I am guessing you guys know this Mon," questioned Agumon.
"Yup," said BlackAgumon, "My fellow virus types and I flee from this Digimon in the forest zone."
"Black… Agumon," said the robotic Digimon.
"I… guess this is the same one that we defeated before, Usa," chuckled BlackAgumon nervously.
Usagi bit her lower lip as she digifused BlackAgumon with BlackTailmon and BlackGabumon. All three virus types made BlackAgumon's strength become stronger. Taichi couldn't help but stare at the combined powers of the three virus types before shaking his head mentally. Different Digital Worlds equals to different digivolving. Taking his own digivice out, Taichi held it close, letting his energy go into the digivice and shining the light towards Agumon. Usagi, on her part, blinked at how ORANGE Agumon transformed into Greymon. She guessed that she was used to BlackGreymon's blue and black coloring. Using her Senshi training, she quickly dodged Seasldramon's knife. "The Mon has a KNIFE," questioned a shocked Taichi.
"Well," said BlackAgumon, "If you are an assassin Mon, you tend to have things to assassinate other Digimon with."
"Horrible," said Taichi.
"We should probably leave the fighting to our Digimon, Tai-kun," said Usagi.
"Good point," said Taichi.
With that, the two backed away from the fight slowly as Greymon unleashed his Mega Flame towards the Mon. They saw the Mon dodge the attack, but not the upper cut that BlackAgumon gave said Mon. The two Digidestined wondered what they were going to do with the Mon once they took it down. It wasn't until the two witnessed Sealsdramon sending a black wave that was NOT part of Sealsdramon's attacks. Usagi and Taichi watched in shock as the wave hit and electrocuted their Digimon before BlackAgumon de-fused… before Greymon turned back into Agumon. "Was that," questioned Taichi who was in shock again.
"Senshi meeting after this," said Usagi, "Demo, for now…"
"For now," questioned Taichi.
"Moon Eternal," called out Usagi, "Make Up!"
Taichi watched in fascination and with a huge blush on his face as Usagi transformed. He never truly saw Usagi transform before, and whenever Usagi or the other original Senshi did, he was too preoccupied in keeping his friends from harm or making sure Agumon was in fighting form. He was indeed shocked that Usagi's transformation left little for imagination and wondered if the other female Senshi had that kind of transformation. Taichi glowered inwardly with rage just thinking about his own imōto transformation. As Taichi focused back to the now, he took a step slightly back when Usagi was tapping her foot impatiently. "Well," questioned Usagi.
"Ah, right," said Taichi before quickly transforming.
"Now that you are transformed," said Usagi, "Let's help our Digimon out with this Mon."
"Hai," said Taichi, "Though, I do have a question."
"And that is," questioned Usagi impatiently.
"Did you know that your clothes disappear and leave you… uh… unclothed before magic takes over," questioned Taichi with a blush.
"Hentai (pervert)," muttered Usagi with a blush of her own.
Without answering Taichi, Usagi jumped into the fray and blocked Sealsdramon's knife with her scepter. She was so glad that the Ginzuishō let her transform into her last transformation after a couple of months into training the new Senshi and Knights, along with destroying the random Youma that came out to collect energy for Metalia. From those months, she could tell that the others were finally getting used to fighting while being in school, sometimes giving out random lies to their fellow Digidestined who weren't in the known OR the teachers during class. Usagi rolled away from Sealsdramon's newest attack while Taichi jumped into the fray help Usagi out. He was glad for the training during the months as well until another black beam of energy shot out in another direction. "Where did that come from," questioned Taichi.
"I'm not sure," said Usagi, "Demo, distract this Mon while I get SaberLeomon and Guilmon out for scouting purposes."
"Man, I am so glad that you have multiple Digimon partners," said Taichi.
"You and me both," said Usagi as she quickly called out the two Mon, "Guilmon! SaberLeomon! Find out where that other energy came from!"
"No need," said an evil voice.
Taichi and Usagi paused at the voice just as their Digimon woke up from being knocked out by Sealsdramon. The two Senshi stood back to back with their Digimon jumping in front of them to protect their partners. They all looked around the ruined street that they were at before finally seeing another Digimon come out. This Digimon was dressed elegantly like a gentleman, yet its face looked like a typical vampire stereotype. Taichi blinked in surprise, along with Usagi as both shouted: "Vamdemon!"
"Ah, the child of Courage," said Vamdemon, "Not so little of a child anymore. And what's this? I do not think that I had the pleasure of such encounter with you, girl."
"I thought Daisuke and the others destroyed you," growled out Taichi as he stepped in front of Usagi protectively.
"You can't kill the undead, child," scoffed out Vamdemon.
"You sure about that, you vampire reject," questioned Usagi fiercely before…
"You shouldn't have come here, Vamdemon," said Sealsdramon, "I had everything under control."
"You aren't the boss of me," said Vamdemon, "Besides, it would have been remised of me to NOT greet the child of Courage once more."
"Tch," scoffed Sealsdramon, "Do whatever you want. I have gotten the data I needed. I shall go back to Lucemon."
Vamdemon smirked as Sealsdramon disappeared into the darkness. Taichi, Usagi, and their Digimon were very wary about how Sealsdramon disappeared before their eyes narrowed towards Vamdemon. SaberLeomon was growling towards the evil Digimon. He remembered facing someone similar while venturing together with the Xros Hearts and the Purity Chalice armies. Vamdemon just smirked more before quickly unleashing his attack… Bloody Stream. Dodging the red angry energy-like whips, Taichi and Usagi fell back to let their own Digimon handle the evil Mon. They were still aware that Sealsdramon may still be around as they tried to stretch their senses to tell. It wasn't long until Vamdemon dodged all of the Digimon's attacks and sent out his Dark Minion attack to mist everything around their area before sending another Bloody Stream towards Usagi's back. "Abunai, Usa-chan," called out Taichi before rushing to be in front of Usagi.
"T-Taichi," yelled out Usagi.
As Taichi called out Usagi's name, he was quick to push Usagi out of the way. He, however, wasn't fast enough to dodge one of the energy whips and was yelling in pain. Usagi had unshed tears in her eyes as she saw Taichi take an attack that was meant for her. She felt the same grief as when Mars… as when Rei took that attack meant for her during the final battle against Queen Beryl. With that distress and trauma within Usagi, her royal insignia appeared before sending a blast of her own energy towards Vamdemon. That blast connects right as Vamdemon used his cape to cover himself. He, however, never had a Moon attack like Usagi's and was injured. Glaring at the girl, Vamdemon chuckled darkly. "At least, the child of Courage is out of commission," said Vamdemon satisfactorily.
"You're going to pay for hurting Taichi," said Agumon with flames in his mouth.
"A rookie Digimon against me," scoffed Vamdemon, "No need to waste more energy on you all. I will definitely be back to finish this once and for all. So, for now, tell my little pet that she'll be working for me once more."
"Tailmon is NOT a pet," yelled out Agumon.
After Agumon's yell, SaberLeomon and Guilmon sent their attacks at Vamdemon. Vamdemon, however, got away just before the two attacks hit. Agumon glared with tears in his eyes as he ran towards the injured Taichi. Usagi, on her part, went over to check on Taichi as well. Taichi, on his part, was wincing in pain as he stared at the badly wounded leg of his. He could also tell that Usagi was feeling guilty before putting on a brave face. "Don't worry, Usa," said Taichi, "This isn't the worst that Vamdemon did to us Digidestined."
"Demo," said Usagi, "You got hurt because of me."
"Not your fault," said Taichi fiercely, "Besides, Vamdemon would have done that to any of us."
"I-If you say so," said Usagi as she bit her lower lip, "D-Do you think you can move?"
"Probably with the help of SaberLeomon here," said Taichi, "I'm sure we can move somewhere else."
"Un," nodded Usagi, "Then, I can heal that wound of yours."
"Doesn't that take energy out of you," questioned Taichi with a raised eyebrow.
"Least I can do to take that pain away," said Usagi.
Taichi didn't argue as he could tell Usagi was being stubborn. With Agumon's help, Taichi was able to have a good grip on SaberLeomon as he hopped onto the Mon's back to be carried to safety. He was just glad that it seemed deserted when the Digimon fight was going on. Usagi, on her part, could still feel her Moon insignia on her forehead as she tried to calm herself down. Once the two were in a safer area, Usagi glowed slightly silver before a soft warm glow emitted from her hands and onto Taichi's wounded leg. Taichi could tell that the wound was healing as he witnessed the wound closing and the pain ebbing away. "Arigatō, Bunny," said Taichi with a smile.
"Bunny," questioned Usagi.
"W-Well, your name means rabbit," said Taichi who rubbed the back of his head nervously, "I guess, I wanted to give you a nickname?"
"I… kind of like it," said Usagi with a smile of her own.
As the two then conversed about having a Digidestined meeting AND a Senshi meeting, though at different times, their Digimon partners tried not to stare at the two while keeping vigilant around their surroundings. They weren't sure that the evil Digimon actually disappeared and wanted to be alert to protect their partners. However… "Are we going to tell the two that while Usagimon was healing Taichimon, both were glowing silver and orange," questioned Guilmon.
"We told you not to call them mon, Guilmon," sighed BlackTailmon, "You know that they aren't Digimon like us. You are being influenced by Takato's Guilmon badly."
"And… I think that's something for Motoki to know," said SaberLeomon.
"Un," nodded BlackGabumon, "He knows more about the Silver Millennium than any one of us."
"Do you think Taikimon will glow the same as Taichimon and Usagimon," questioned Guilmon.
"Now, you are just being annoying," growled BlackTailmon who was being ignored by said Mon.
"I… believe he will," said a pondering BlackAgumon, "Besides, SaberLeomon is correct. We should tell Motoki when we see him again."
"At least, the glow isn't harming them, ne," said Agumon with a question to his statement.
"Hai～," said all of Usagi's Digimon.
AN: Well, I am glad that this fanfic is FINALLY moving along after many months of not updating. (˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ ) I am so sorry about that! Real life has gotten quite stressful, especially with COVID cases at work. My anxiety is being a real pain that I couldn't really de-stress and relax to think about writing my fanfics out.
