25/3/24
That evening, the friends decided to have a picnic by the lake instead of going through the hustle and bustle of being in the Great Hall.
Surprisingly, more teachers allowed it than denied it seeing as the 'supposed' magical serial killer (Pettigrew) was no longer on the school's grounds.
And after the 'attack' the Dementors gave to Jack, Elisa, Harry and Hermione when they tried to chase down Pettigrew, thankfully all the Dementors were pulled away from the school gates.
Elisa, Jack and Baby Tooth, were there by the lake first owing to the fact they didn't have classes to attend.
"So, have you made a decision, my lady?" Jack asked, smiling as he was pouring out drinks.
"If I do this, it's not reversible is it?" Elisa asked in a thinking voice the ice rose in the middle of them.
"It can be halted, and controlled, but there will always be some trace of ice magic inside you." Jack said calmly. "And bottling it up won't be a good thing to do," he added.
"And you say my emotions will affect the power?" she asked, not liking the sound of that.
"Yes, but I'm not sure how it will affect it," Jack said, looking apologetic. "It's different for everyone who has seasonal powers."
"And I won't get the full power of it until I come of age right?" she asked double checking that.
"No. It will be dim at first, or dimmer than it will be, but while you're still in school it will be as if it's a back-seat-driver letting your wix magic take control as you'll be using that more." Jack explained.
'Of course the rules on magic will still stand. No showing it off to anyone who isn't magic. No affecting true love. No using your magic to cheat to win computations. And no using your magic to kill anyone. Accidental deaths are ok," he said, shrugging in an unsure way. "But purposeful deaths are against the rules on magic."
"Then... after all that, Jack Frost," Elisa said slowly reaching for the flower "I will become your queen, once I come of age."
Picking up the flower, the coldness and ice-blueyness of it trickled down its petals and tingled Elisa's fingertips and all over her.
Her eyes sparked a little, and her skin and hair got one shade paler than it was.
When the light show was done, the ice rose didn't feel as cold in her hand as it did when she picked it up, however...
"Oh god, why is it so hot?" she asked looking around for something to cool herself down with.
This made Jack laugh, and Baby giggle.
"Because it's coming into summer, my lady," Jack said, grabbing her hands and teaching her how to make mini ice cubes for her drink.
"I won't say you will get used to the temperature changes," he said calmly "But I will say you'll feel more at home in winter and cooler climates than warmer ones."
"Well that would have been nice to know." she said, making a bigger ice block and running it over her forehead.
"I would have thought it was obvious," Jack said, surprised. "Was it not, Baby Tooth?" he asked the fairy who was making her way through a piece of water melon.
Looking up she looked to Elisa and then back to Jack, before shrugging then pointed and twitted towards Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Annie, before flying off to greet them.
"Thanks for that," Jack said, rolling his eyes and taking a sip of his own drink after sliding the ice rose into Elisa's hair.

Now normally, Harry would be too busy eating the delicious food Hogwarts had to offer to talk during meals, but tonight there was something bothering him.
When Jack asked what it was, he explained what happened at the end of his Divination exam.
"I had just finished lying about what I saw in the crystal ball, and she went all ridged and her voice went funny." Harry explained to everyone listening.
"Said that: 'The Dark Lord will return, greater and more powerful than before, because his servant's will find him and bring him back to full power.' And when she snapped out of it she couldn't remember anything she just said and said I shouldn't make jokes on stuff like that."
"Sounds like a real prediction, to me." Jack said in a thinking voice. "And while I don't believe it, two of Voldemort's servants did get away from us that night."
"But... then it will be our fault if he comes back won't it?" Harry asked, scared. "We weren't strong enough to fight the Dementors and keep a hold on Pettigrew."
"Harry, are you responsible for the things your aunt and uncle do to you?" Jack asked before the others could say anything.
"Um..." Harry said, not sure how to answer that. "Possibly..?"
"UGH! Wrong!" Elisa said, half knowing where Jack was going with this. "It's the choices we make that determine if someone is good or bad. 'There are no good or bad creatures, it's their owners and their choices who say what they are'." she quoted from one of her favourite shows.
"Exactly." Jack said, smiling, getting confused looks from Ron and Harry. "When you do something your relatives don't like, they could calmly tell you they didn't like it and you could talk it out. Instead they get shouty and punish you. Don't they?"
"I guess." Harry said slowly.
"And then look at Sirius, when he found you as a babe," Elisa said, picking someone else as an example. "He could have taken care of you. Have not let Hagrid take you to them in the first place." she started scowling a little at the thought of one of her friends being mistreated because of a choice. "Instead he let his anger and the feeling of betrayal from his supposed friend get the better of him and he went after him meaning he got 12 unnecessary years in Azkaban, missing you growing up."
"You are not responsible for what Pettigrew and that other guy do," Jack said, placing a hand on Harry's shoulder "If they make it so Voldemort comes back. That's up to them and them alone. Ok?" he asked looking innocently at his friend who nodded, smiling.
"Great, now can we please eat, before Ron works his way through all of it?" Annie asked her plate stocked up as it was already.
With a cheer they all got themselves something to eat talking about this and that and other things until Bunny came to tell them the teachers said that it was time to come in.
