As time flew by, seras's condition improvised rather quickly. With the elder Nosferatu's guidance she had developed in a rather fast pace exceeding her peers.

Fascinating.. Alucard thought to himself.

He noticed the younger Nosferatu, his kin seras Victoria was adapting beautifully to his rather harsh training.

But, he summarized that perhaps her human life's knowledge did indeed benefit her whilst training under her former commander and comrades.

She was a warrior in her own right and he felt an alien feeling rush through him pride?..when was the last time has he felt such a thing for an apprentice of his.. truly humans rubbed off on him more then he let on.

Seras gazed upon herself in her bathroom mirror it has been months since her prohibition from human contact has been decided, she hadn't seen Walter for a long while she thought wistfully how he's doing.

Her constant companion was her master and often-- the hellsing heir seeing her personally.

The heir would often simply gaze upon the young Nosferatu, and seras would hold her head high and straighten her back awaiting her orders.

Seras would notice her gaze would soften often when looking at her, it reminds her of a proud motherly gaze.

Her master would often praise her progress and she would feel pride in herself, for once she felt truly happy in her undead life.

She decided within herself that she would settle the issues with her nature today, and she had gotten the approval from her mentor.

She stared at her crimson eyes in the mirror and did just as Alucard had taught her.

She found herself gently sinking in the same darkness that has suffocated her during the days she had been ill.

It did not try to swallow her whole and just simply let her in by her will.

She slowly walked and noticed a figure sitting in a strange looking house? It is rather strange but she did not question it.

The door opened for her she gazed at it she hesitantly entered.

She found the same reflection sitting on a carpet infront of her was something akin to a fireplace except the flames were blood red flames.

"Host.." it murmured.

"Yes, it is me." She replied.

"I cannot recognize you.. had I not been with you in your mind I would've mistaken you for an intruder. " the reflection's shoulders shook as if it is laughing in silence but there was no sound.

"I.. had a change of heart.." she replied

The reflection pat the space beside it signaling for seras to sit.

Without question Seras walked and sat next to it.

She was suprised to see the reflection's eyes were similar to seras's?! Last time she saw these eyes they were hellish red promising to tear her limp from limp.

Now they looked tender almost tired and vulnerable.

Seras reached and took its freezing hand in hers she surpassed the flinch that crashed over her accepting the coldness of its touch.

The reflection's eyes widened, startled at seras's action.

"Host.." it replied.

"Seras." She said

"Call me seras, no more of this Host nonsense, I would like to start anew tell me what do you desire to be called?" She murmured with a tender voice that made the reflection start shaking?..

Her body was slowly aching due to the coldness she was enduring she bore with it.

Little did she know that was only her remaining humanity diminishing.

"Let go of my hand h- no, seras victoria. You are still not ready." It tried to pry its hand from seras's grip but seras refused she embraced the reflection.

The reflection was startled crimson tears starting to fall from its eyes.

With trembling arms it returned seras's embrace.

"You'll lose it.." it murmured embracing seras tighter then before.

"I-it's alright.." seras replied in a shaky voice her body felt like it turned into ice, but she felt more peaceful then she ever did in her life time.

"Seras victoria.. can you truly accept this monster in your body?.. this noble and pure body?.. why sacrifice what little you have left for a monster like i- " it murmured

"Be quite" she embraced the reflection tighter.

" I was cruel to you.. you're born from his power I knew.. but you're also a fragment created from me my own soul and self.. denying you will be denying everything I've ever fought for, although I have a favor of you.. please do not merge with my soul fully I do not desire to lose you even if it's to reach my full power.. " she said

"Silly girl.. even if I merged fully with your soul I will be here among all the voices you shall hear in the near future.. take it From me seras, take me I beg you..." it cried the reflection the incarnation of her nightmares seeking comfort and acceptance from her Host.

"If it's your wish I shall.." seras said

"What would you like me to call you?.." she said

"Whatever you wish.." it held her tighter

" do not abandon me.. and I shall be your most loyal dog..." the reflection said

" I do not desire a slave.. I desire a companion and a friend to aid me when I'm in need.. you shall be that. "

It gasped at seras's words it pulled back looking at her.

" let's follow our master my dear " said seras with a mischievous grin she had learned from her master.

The reflection laughed and agreed fully to seras's terms.

Truly being friends with one's self is a blessing in this life of hers and she had to thank her master for it, she shall never abandon her new companion.

During this little encounter she learnt that her nature wasn't what made her a human it was her self that would decide that a body shall forever remain just a Visage carrying a soul and hers was no different it simply just trapped her with no way out, she was at peace with that thought, she shall always be alone, but at least she could have fond memories to keep her moving forward until the day she shall be truly slain by someone, that would be the end waiting for her.

Seras opened her crimson eyes and found herself in her quarters, she was wondering how she got there, perhaps it was her master after all ever since the incident of months ago he started tidying her quarters and fretting over her like a mother hen, she snorted at the comparison. He is her last family.. she was feeling gratitude for his efforts.

She heard a soft snoring next to her only to notice it was a small shadow of a tiger cub.

It was so hauntingly beautiful.. she pet its head and it started purring under her tender touch.

She tried to bite down a chuckle at the strange sight before her.

She gazed fondly at it, remembering how the reflection said it shall be with her all the time, she guessed this is what it meant.

So be it. She scooped the indolent thing in her arms feeling it shift and turn groaning at being picked up.

A set of six sleepy eyes gazed at her.

She arched a brow at it smirking.

It ignored her and buried its head under seras's chin.

"Looks like I have a pet tiger now, a rare red one at that." She softly murmured embracing it to herself and she lied down on her coffin-bed again.

She closed her eyes and slowly drifted to sleep feeling peaceful and suddenly exhausted.

The elder Nosferatu watched with amusement and fascination at the interaction before him a tiger cub and his young apprentice snuggling against eachother.

My..my.. it seems she got ahead of herself already.. to think that entity grew this fond of her to reduce itself to this state to be in the physical world with her?.. what a spectacular development!

The entity that appeared in the police-girl's mind was a rare specimen that recognized itself and created a consciousness stolen from the soul of its host, and the power of its creator specifically, its a parasite that needed to be either killed or removed for the vampire to develop correctly.

Yet somehow, as Alucard observed it had emotions human emotions as if it knew of its fate already what a mischievous little thing, since it has done no harm to seras in the past he was curious to see the development it had on seras's mentality had it been a threat to her he would've erased it the moment it grew, but the way it acted fascinated him it scared its Host, only scare.. nothing else. No fight for control no thirst for violence, nothing at all. Indeed such a complex creature.

He was suprised to see his young kin taking in this little thing as her companion.

Luck was truly on her side, she have a will made of iron it captivated him truly.

He shall leave her to her rest, she earned it.

Truly a human in a monster's skin what an enigma he have created.

Yet.. he does not regert a thing.

He form disappeared into thin air.

the ancient Nosferatu slowly appeared in his master's headquarter awaiting her orders.

"Alucard.. enlighten me, How is the police-girl's sessions going?" she questioned.

"the police-girl is adapting beautifully to her nature, she is indeed improving and her progression is rather pleasing to say, she may be young for her age but dare i say she is rather talented." he said.

integra slowly raised her eyes to gaze at her servant, he indeed changed since the incident that happened months ago.. He was an extremely efficient mentor when he wanted to be and the contact prohibition he reinforced on seras was indeed beneficial for seras's growth.

whenever she gazed at the police-girl she saw herself as a child, scared, lost, and in need of guidance.

seras wasn't a human, that is the main reason why integra never considered the possibility of seras willingly accepting her role in the hellsing organization.

but, as time went by she noticed how seras was fading away, detached from her life and cheerful self, she was but a husk of a person she used to be.

she hadn't given a thought about the young fledgling's mentality before, and did not care a single bit about her.

she viewed her as a reflection of alucard the warlord and the nightmare of many creatures.

but she was proven wrong.

"very well, you are dismissed servant." she said

alucard gazed upon her for a while before disappearing into thin air.
