"Dude, we're goddamn missing you here!" Jack (The Jackal) yelled on the phone which was on loudspeaker, the intensity of his shout making George wince while Trish giggled.
"Bro, I'm freaking driving here and you're shouting is not helping!" George shouted back, shaking his head before shooting the still giggling Trish a look that she merely grinned at.
"Oh semantics, but dude SmackDown is not the same without you." Jack said with mock hurt and pain. "Please come back..."
"Quit the bullshit, big bro." George rolled his eyes at his older brother's antics. "What would Shannon say if she saw you?"
"Act your age, doofus." Daryl, the middle brother, (The Bloodwolf) said in a poor imitation at a woman's voice.
"Oi! Don't insult your big sister in such a way." Trish warned the boys, even her fiancé who merely nodded since he couldn't take his hands off the steering wheel. They were in Green Bay, Wisconsin, driving to the Arrowhead Pond where tonight's episode of Monday Night RAW was being held. "Or I'll tell her about this."
"Please don't, she's been more insufferable since... Jack paused and grunted.
"Since what?" George asked with a frown, sharing a look with Trish that spelled confusion. There was a sigh on the other end before Daryl spoke.
"She wants us to have a family dinner... with Mom, dad, our aunts, uncles, cousins."
"Fucking plague bringers more like it." Jack muttered under his breath with bitterness.
George didn't even bother snorting at his brother's comment, instead he shook his head fiercly. "Well, you can tell her I said no. I know how it's going to go down anyway. How it always goes down when I speak with dad, and mom's always there to take his side rather than her own children..."
"Boys, come on." Trish said with a sigh, looking at George with concern. "It's been ten years since you guys last saw or even spoke to any of your family beyond Shannon."
"Because she's the nice one." Jack scoffed. "You think I want to hear about how Uncle Jim got into jail for drunk driving for the fifth time in a month? Or how uncle Aaron beat up some guy at the bar and found out he got another unknown woman pregnant? Actually, do you think I want to hear the usual bullshit from my parents who always say we are in the wrong line of work that can end our lives before they get started? And also deal with that jealous bitch of our cousin, Marlene? God, her mere presence sickens me."
Trish sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose, noticing George was more quiet now. She knew the family history with her husband-to-be and future brother-in-laws. Jack and Daryl had set off to go into the wrestling business together against their parents' wishes. Because of this, they took it out on George, and it doesn't help their father had a history of being an alcoholic, and there was one point George was put into a depressive state following an argument with his parents back in 1999 not long after the death of Owen Hart.
And that depression led George to drinking and smoking, and nearly got him fired from WWE despite being WWE Champion at the time. It was thanks to the friends George had that he went into rehab, though sometimes he worried he may spiral down into that state again as wrestling was a stressing life.
"Guys, just hear me out." Trish spoke gently, knowing they were riled up in a way. "You're grown men now, you've gained successful careers, made lots of money, are very popular around the world! If anything, you're parents should be proud of you!"
"Proud? That's a foreign concept to them." Jack snorted, getting chuckles of agreement from George and Darul while Trish sighed.
"As I was saying..." She said with a peeved tone, making George wince. "You're mature, grown men. Does it matter what your parents want from you now? You're adults who can make your own decisions and choose what you do in life. If anything, the only reason they'll argue is probably because of jealousy."
"Oh, that'll fit our cousin, James, to a T along with the walking STD Marlene." Daryl said this time. "Last time I spoke to them, I could hear the jealousy in their words as they spoke of us being on TV back in 2001 and 2002."
"Should've told them to A: Stop drinking and taking drugs, and B. Stop fucking every guy you lay your eyes on." Jack said darkly.
"...That was for just one of them, right? A's for James, and B's for-"
"Yes, dumbass!"
"Okay you guys, we're pulling up at the arena. I'll phone after we're done with what we're schedule to do tonight." George said, seeing the arena was coming into view.
"Alright, try not to go screw in a cupboard again!" Jack called, making George roll his eyes, Trish sigh, and Daryl laughed. George then hung up, shaking his head.
"Assholes." He muttered fondly before he noticed Trish staring at him. "What?" He sighed as he understood what she was asking. "I'm not going."
"George-"
"I can't, Trish." George said in a quiet voice, showing just how hurt and vulnerable the topic made him. "I told you everything about what it was like being under their roof. I mean, they weren't abusive or anything, but I can tell dad was close to reaching that point... especially when he was drunk."
"But would you do it for Shannon's sake?" Trish challenged. "For your niece and your nephew?"
George glanced at her, then looked back onto the road with his finger tapping the steering wheel. Nothing else was said as they arrived at the arena.

Monday Night RAW was live at the Arrowhead Point in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It was the Main Event, pitting Chris Jericho, Christian, and Tyson Tomko against WWE Champion John Cena, Shawn Michaels and a mystery partner who turned out to be... HULK HOGAN!
Cena and Jericho started the match off and Jericho assumed control quickly. Jericho whipped Cena to the opposite corner and attempted the follow up but caught a boot and a clothesline. Cena got a hard hip-lock take down before dragging Jericho to the corner and tagging in Shawn Michaels.
HBK landed some chops before Jericho reversed it and attempted the whip but it got reversed yet again and more chops were landed. HBK then landed a flying forearm and intercepted an incoming Tomko and Christian. Jericho caught HBK coming in and went for a cover but only got a one count. He choked HBK up against the ropes before tagging in Tomko.
Tomko landed a big sidewalk slam before tagging in Christian. Christian connected with a boot and followed it up with a neck breaker. He went for the cover but only got the two. Christian backed him up into the corner and tagged in Jericho after distracting the ref.
Jericho clamped on a rear chin lock as the crowd attempted to rally HBK. Michaels fought out with some elbows and sent Jericho into the ropes but it was reversed and Jericho connected with the high knee. He tagged in Christian and the two landed some punches before Jericho left.
Christian immediately tagged in Tomko who choked the heck out of HBK on the mat. Jericho tagged in and slapped Michaels and landed some chops. Jericho taunted him a bit but got chopped. The two exchanged chops but Jericho connected with his running bulldog. Jericho went for the Lion-sault but HBK avoided it. HBK crawled to the corner and tagged Hogan.
He blocked the Tomko punch and nailed him. Christian and Jericho came in as well and got the same treatment. He forearmed Tomko and went for his own five knuckle shuffle but Christian jumped him. Tomko and Christian pounded him on the ground but Hogan hulked up. He cracked their heads together and pointed at Tomko as HBK nailed Christian with sweet chin music. Hogan hit the three punches, the big boot and the leg drop for the 1, 2, 3 pin fall and the victory.
The three posed in the middle of the ring after the match. HBK put on Hogan's bandana and Hogan raised both of their hands in victory. Cena stopped Hogan from leaving the ring to get Hogan to pose. Cena and Hogan listened for the crowd on each side of the ring. They posed for everyone and celebrated in the ring. Cena did an HBK pose and let him get in on the posing. HBK posed with the Hulk as Cena got out of the ring out of respect and bowed down to both of them.
However, before Cena can make it to the back, a lightning bolt strikes the stage and a wall of fire explodes, blocking Cena's path.
"Wow!" Jerry squinted his eyes from the intense heat and light of the flames.
"My God! There's-! There's a wall of fire here!" JR exclaimed.
"What the hell caused..." Jerry trailed off as a dark laughter echoed throughout the arena, causing everyone, including Cena, Hogan and Shawn Michaels to look around. "Who is...?"
"John Cena..." The voice of the Bladewolf said, causing the crowd to come unglued as they cheered loudly, about as loud as they did for Hulk Hogan's return. "Your reign as WWE Champion is admirable. The inspiration you stir in the hearts of the people…misplaced. You say you're not sell out, yet you seek their adulation to keep your image intact. That foolish attitude will be your undoing. If you still don't know who I am, then let me introduce myself, how else will you beg me for mercy. I am the Bladewolf, the Demon Wolf of Hell. Enjoy what little time remains of your reign, it may well be the last you will ever have."
The dark laughter of the Bladewolf was heard as RAW went off the air...
And that's it for this chapter everyone. I hope you all enjoyed it.
