The fire was extinguished but the area was still very dangerous. The place where St.Mary's hospital used to stand now was a hole in the ground and despite of extinguished fire there was some burning underground or a broken pipe which was causing constant fog and smell … with a hint of strawberries. It was surrounded with construction barriers and people in special chemical resistant suits.
Batman found Gordon alive at their new police quarters in the old school. Turned out Evan let police evacuate all patients and medical stuff from the hospital and then blow it up. Gordon's phone was broken because they got in the car accident on their way to another hospital while transporting patients.
-Who was that woman in the hall? Did you save her Batman?
-I did. - answered a dark knight but he didn't say who Justice was. He knew her history and that fact that she used to work as a police officer under Gordon's supervision until the day Batman tell Gordon the Mr.Swan was connected to the criminal world of Gotham City. He didn't knew that officer Swan was about to marry his colleague and he couldn't predict that woman would be so upset about that she turned herself into White Shadow and actually killed people. Batman knew one day he would have to arrest her but it wasn't coming any time soon.
-Good! Everyone from that hospital is safe except people who were on Evan's side but now all he shows on the news is that Batman is responsible for this catastrophe. The worst thing of all that people believe and it's harder and harder to convince them otherwise. There was something under this hospital Batman and after that explosion air in the city became even worse. I wish the winds come because we need those clouds gone and federal government refuses to fly airplanes to break those clouds.
-I think it was his plan to begin with. There is a tunnel pocket under this hospital, I think he stored most of his psychedelic chemicals there. Now the water pipes damaged by explosion keep mixing with chemicals and evaporate causing people to believe in anything if they inhale enough of this poison. - Batman told Gordon as much information as he knew and they decided to get the plan how to eliminate this threat.
At the end of the day they still didn't know how exactly deal with all this damage. Even if they arrested Evan they would face a huge resistance from his supporters and delusional people of Gotham. Batman flew couple of drones above the explosion and the toxins levels were high and the fog was spreading as a blanket all over the city. The one thing they came out with was that not all people were acceptable to this chemicals. Some people got very sick and fatigue but they are not delusional. Batman gave Gordon injections for all his people to fight sickness because even Captain was looking bad at that point.
By the dawn Batman had to leave, Alfred was right lack of sleep hunted Bruce Wayne since late evening but he did his best staying up all night.
When he got back to his penthouse Alfred called and reported about Justice who was still unconscious but living. It was promising. The computer broke the Evan's app but not to the its core. Lucius, who's idea about hospital was correct and Evan did blow it up only for one reason only to mix his chemicals, managed to get names of people from that app but not their messages. The Bat searching system showed that all those people were orphans there was no regular people on that app. A lot of them were government workers and white color jobs, there were even more of blue color workers and also people who were recently set free by Evan from the Black Gate. It was not a small group of people and it made Bruce think how did it happen that Gotham city accumulated so many orphans. Was it because of the bad economic environment or lack of medicine for lower classes, why people refused their children and how he, Bruce Wayne, was connected to this problem.
-Alfred. - Bruce called his butler before he went to rest. - I need you to give me all information about Wayne Foundation the section of which worked on orphanage programs in the city and everything that could connect to it.
-Will do, sir. I hope you have some good rest.
