Chapter 3
"I'm gonna see what I can do. Make something happen. Even if I haft to do it by myself" JJ says (huge time jump I know) he runs out
"JJ." Kiara runs after him but he's already in his bike "JJ don't" he looks at her and drives off, she walks back towards Pope,
"should we be worried" Pope asks,
"definitely. I'm gonna hit up my parents. See if they can help" Kiara says
"good luck"
Kiara walks into her house, "mom? Dad?"
She sees her mom doing laundry, she says something under her breath then says "where have you been? We were up all night long? I was at a hospital" Her mom says
"well the truck broke down and then my phone died and we didn't have a plug" Kiara says,
her mom laughs a bitter laugh, "oh right that makes complete sense. A plug!" Her mom sits down,
after a moment Kiara says "John B's back"
her mom nods "yeah yeah, I saw that on the news. He's arrested for murder"
"yeah but he didn't do it. Ok I promise. Someone if framing him" pause "and he's gonna need money for a lawyer"
her mom scoffs "I can't do this with you" her mom says
"mom this is really important"
"you didn't even call me?"
"John B is arrested for murder! Do you understand that? It's not all about you"
her mom stands up scoffing, "that's exactly what I was thinking. At four in the morning when I was out on the beach looking to see if your body had washed up on the beach. I was definitely thinking this was all about me: Jesus honey you treat me like shit."
Kiara scoffs "you treat me like shit! You don't even trust me"
"why should I trust you! All you do is lie to me!" Her dad walks in
"when have I lied to you!"
"Kiara! Stop it! Everything your doing it for these boys"
"it's about the boys of course"
"it's always about the boy! You're putting these boys above everything else! It doesn't help you are dating one!"
"Yeah and you're so worried about me sleeping with him! Well I already did"
her dad says "let me handle this one"
"no no! I'm done. I don't think you have any idea how hard we have worked to try and give you opportunities that other kids do not have" her mom says
"how many times do I haft to tell you that I don't care about those things!"
"Yes and you should!"
"Well I'm sorry! I don't! Look I'm a pogue and I always will be! This is why I hate coming back here"
"you hate coming back here?" That one's her dad.
Then her mom says in the most serious tone she's ever heard "baby you wanna live like a pogue." She grabs the laundry basket "let me show you what that's like" she throws the clothes over the deck "go live like a freaking pogue!" Kiara holds back tears "get your butt out of my house!" Kiara looks at her dad for help but he stays silent "nobody's stopping you" she walks away grabbing her clothes.
(Whole ambulance scene)
"I am seriously not gonna ask" Kiara says as she drives away,
"broke the wrong guy out of jail. Sue me"
"what!?"
"At least I was trying"
"why are you always doing this JJ"
"doing what Kie"
"putting other peoples need above your own" she says and he sighs
"I'm gonna end up in jail anyways. So why does it matter"
Kiara sighs, Pope asks "you okay man"
"yeah I'm fine"
"we are talking in private later ok?" Kiara says kindly
"ok" he says
(Big time jump. This will be taking place when Kiara and Pope talk about the thing that should have never happened. But obviously it didn't happen in this story but I wanted a reason for Pope to be mad so here)
"Hey Kie" JJ says walking over towards her, she's hanging out on his bed. Where she has been sleeping, it's been nice waking up next to him.
"Hey Jayj" she says patting the spot next to her,
"I like when you wear your shirts like that" she says tracing her fingers on his abdomen,
he shivers "I will wear them more often" he says leaning in and kissing her
"JJ" she says as warning
"what" he says slightly pushing her back onto the bed
"our friends are right outside" he pushes her full onto the bed and is hovering above her,
he leans down to her ear and whispers "then we will have to be quiet" that does it for her, she grabs his face and kisses him passionately. She takes his shirt off and touches everywhere, he smiles at her, he kisses her neck definitely leaving a hickey,
"JJ" she says arching her back, he grabs the hem if her shirt and pulls it over her head, she pulls her bikini over her head, he immediately starts kissing her chest. She grabs his shorts and unbuttons them. His hand traces her stomach going down and down until he reaches the top of her shorts and just as his hands curl around them to pull them down the door opens
"hey Kie- oh my god" Pope turns around covering his eyes JJ gets up and Pushes Pope out of the room closing the door so Kiara can get dressed,
"alright from now on knock, I don't care what you see with me but I don't need you coming in with Kiara indecent" JJ says and Pope nod's solemnly.
"Oh my god that was embarrassing"
Kiara says coming out of their room,
"just a bit" she looks him up and down
"fix yourself up a bit your hairs a mess" she says running her hands through it.
They arrive at Heyward's and Sarah patches him up, JJ is sitting and Kiara is on his lap, (facing away from him. It's not sexual. It's the sweet kind) he rests his head on her shoulder, and listens to Pope.
JJ gets out of the car, (they are where they are gonna see Popes grandma) Pope gets out and Kiara follows but Pope says to JJ and Kiara "hey I'm actually I think I'm gonna do this one by myself"
"you sure?" Kiara asks
"yeah I can handle it. I don't really need you two so.."
Kiara scoffs "oh, we're just all one happy family today aren't we!" JJ says sarcastically.
Pope walks away "pick you up in a bit" John B says,
"what was that about?" Sarah asks
"right you don't know." JJ says
"well Pope said he was in love with me and every once in a while he gets pissy with me and JJ" Kiara says,
"so he's mad that you're not in love with him?" Sarah asks
"yep"
JJ and John B were waiting for Sarah and Kiara to get drinks and snacks from the store, "remember when life was simple" JJ asks
"yeah like seven days ago. I mean dude think about it, ward's still out there with the gold"
"I know I know"
"and he killed my dad"
"John B! I know we won't let that go. But I'm worried about you man, it looks like it's either you or him. And you know who else I'm worried about. Sarah. I mean bro like it's her dad. You see what I'm saying"
"she knows what he did" JJ sighs, this isn't gonna end well. JJ thinks.
"Of course I thanked Topper, he saved my life. And I'd put him through so much already. And you'd think that that is the crime of the century"
"tell me about it. I mean all this crazy shits happening and Pope is giving me and JJ the silent treatment because I'm not in love with him I'm in love with JJ"
"and we're the dramatic ones" they both chuckle.
They are hanging out at Popes when John B says "I still can't believe you are related to Denmark Tanny. Are we in the presence of a royal?"
"A king?" JJ then goes into a British accent "we shall crown him. All hail the king of Tannyhill." They all tease him.
Then Sarah says "relocate the cat's ass question mark?"
"I'm with that!"
"How soon can we move in?" Kiara asks then looks at JJ "bunk beds?" "
"Bunk beds" they do the pogue handshake.
Then Pope the party pooper, "I just keep thinking about the letter, the one that limbrey sent. It had the wheat symbol on it. That must mean it has something to do with the royal merchant"
"yeah something seems fishy" JJ says
"but if we find that cross and split it like we were gonna split the gold" Pope says and everyone agrees,
then they hear Limbrey's voice say "and live happily ever after?"
"You assaulted my father!" Pope says stepping towards her
"oh I didn't assault anybody"
"he can identify the Psycho from a mile away" Kiara says
"why would my employee a…a…assault your father?" (This is a long scene so I'm skipping till the end)
"Ok whose idea was the fake key?" Pope asks
"shockingly not mine" Kiara says,
John B puts his arm around JJ and pats his chest saying "oh I don't know. Should we tell them?"
"Wow I'm impressed!" Kiara says she walks over to him and gives him a nice big kiss on the cheek.
boom* ward just blew himself up. JJ wraps his arms around Kiara and looks at Sarah being comforted by Topper while John B does nothing. What an idiot.
