An enraged King Kong stormed through the village that had once worshiped him, blinded by rage. Native mothers were attempting to protect their children, but there was one little native girl crying in fetal position in the middle of the road, with Kong getting closer and closer. Her mother ran by and grabbed her just as Kong's colossal foot came down.
Kong crushed several huts under his feet, and soon turned his attention to a group of natives on a wooden and bamboo construction who were throwing spears and arrows at him. Unfortunately for them, they only felt like toothpicks to Kong, only causing a slight pinch when he tore them out. However, one of the spears landed in his gums, causing the mighty ape to roar in fury.
He picked it out and then swung down, knocking many natives off the structure. He then picked up the native squid who took the shot and put him in his giant mouth. The pressure broke many of the squid's bones as he screamed blood curling shouts of agony. But since Kong wasn't a man-eater, he took the squid out of his mouth, slammed him into the ground, and stomped him into the mud.
Kong then tore down the wooden and bamboo structure and threw the debris at the fleeing natives, taking them down. He picked up another piece of wooden debris, swinging it like a club and making the natives go flying like baseballs. He put more natives in his mouth and stomped even more fish. He then noticed the sailors fleeing and followed them all the way to the beach.
With no way to turn back now, Krabs yelled,
"It's now or never, men! Open fire!"
The sailors began unloading their guns on Kong, and the great beast flinched in pain. Every bullet that hit felt like a wasp sting to him. Sandy flinched at this and yelled,
"No!"
Krabs didn't want his ape hurt too badly, and so told Spongebob,
"I left some spare gas bombs in the longboats! Go grab them, lad! Quickly!"
"Aye aye, sir!"
Spongebob ran to the longboats and grabbed the gas bombs one by one, giving them to the sailors and Mr Krabs, who began tossing them at Kong. Krabs also yelled at the sailors,
"You lubbers! Tie 'em down!"
Some of the sailors obeyed this command and began attempting to tie Kong down with rope. Kong trashed off several of them, but grew weaker and weaker from the gas bombs, and a gas bomb to the face from Mr Krabs was what finally knocked the giant ape out. Krabs then stepped forward and petted Kong's fur, murmuring under his breath,
"The whole world will pay to see this…"
An excited smile came across his face before he turned to the crew and yelled,
"I be rich lads! RICH! In a few months, his name will be up in lights on broadway! KONG! THE EIGHTH WONDER OF THE WORLD!"
Squidward put his hand up and said,
"That's great and all, but…how are we supposed to transport him?"
"We'll deal with that later, Mr Squidward! But first, Spongebob! Come take a photo of this! I left a still-camera on the ship!"
Spongebob nodded and grabbed the camera from the ship, setting it up for a photo. A couple of sailors who weren't fed up with Krabs joined him in the pic, as well as Spongebob and Squidward, and if you looked at the photo closely you could almost SEE the shit-eating grin on Krabs's face. After the photo was taken, the crew built a raft out of driftwood, the remains of the wall, debris, and bamboo big enough to carry Kong while staying afloat.
Once it was complete, it set off not far behind the Wanderer. There were also sailors on the raft with food rations and gas bombs in case Kong woke up. It was a long trip back, filled with cold silence. Spongebob especially was uncharacteristically despondent. Once the ship arrived at the docks, Krabs and anyone related to him or his employees began exiting.
However, Spongebob simply stood there, staring at his first sight of home in what felt like an eternity. Patrick came up from behind him and put a hand on his shoulder. Spongebob didn't cry, but his eyes were definitely glazed as he asked with his voice shaking,
"What was it all for?"
Coralhorn sighed from behind them and remarked,
"Can't exactly say myself. There could be numerous reasons. Wealth, notoriety, a twisted sense of adventure and risk-taking. The lust for wealth leads down many paths, and not all of them are pretty, kid."
Spongebob looked down sadly, and noticing his best friend's distress, Patrick said to him,
"Come on, I know what always cheers me up: A Krabby Patty with cheese!"
"Heh, you know...after all I've gone through…I could use a good Krabby Patty."
"Now you're talking! Come on!"
Spongebob and Patrick then ran off the ship into the sunrise, and it then exited the harbor, it's sole crewmate, Coralhorn, staring at the docks in contemplation
So, this is a shorter chapter than usual. But don't worry, the next chapter is gonna be damn good!
