Chapter 6

"Hey, hey handsome, time to wake up," a female voice cooed to Sam as she gently slapped his face rousting him.

Sam grunted and jerked as he fluttered his eyes open ready to fight until he saw the face of Jessica staring at him. He rubbed a hand across his face and looked again to see it wasn't her but could have been her sister. Everything fled his mind, and his only thoughts were, he would do anything for this woman.

"We need to hurry so we won't miss our flight," she told Sam kissing his lips and cuddling with him.

"What do you want me to do?" Sam asked as he drew in her scent and kissed her back.

"You need to get into your motel room and pack your bag," she instructed him.

Sam looked out the car windshield and saw they were parked in front of his motel room. He couldn't remember how he got here but that didn't matter, he needed to do what she said.

"Oh, and lover boy, why don't you leave any weapons you have on you and cell phone in the room. I don't think the airport security would appreciate it if you were packing. Now hurry."

Sam got out of the car and went to the door to find it locked. He quickly picked the lock and slipped inside. He grabbed his bathroom bag and stuffed the few clothes into his duffle before discarding his gun, cell, and knives. He didn't even glance at any of Dean's things or his notes and laptop as he shouldered the bag and headed back outside.

"Very good," she praised him. "Now get in back and lay down so no one sees you when we leave."

Sam opened the back and tossed his duffle in first before getting in and laying across the back seat. He kept his eyes on the young woman marveling at how much she looked like his lost love. All those emotions were being stirred up again and he couldn't fight them. All he could think about was he loved her deeply and wanted to be with her.

"I gotta say, you guys were good, but you didn't count on the listening device I planted in the police station. I was monitoring their progress and heard your conversation. I knew hunters would probably be coming to check the deaths out and couldn't resist the chance to snag one of you," she rattled on as she headed for the airport.

"What's your name?" Sam asked.

"Oh, you can call me whatever your heart's desires sweetie."

"Is Jessica okay?"

"Jessica, Jess, why not. She must have been special to you."

"She was the love of my life and she died."

"Oh, that's too bad," she said. "Why don't you toss me your wallet so I can see who I'm dealing with."

Sam pulled his wallet out of his pocket and dropped it over the front seat for Jessica. He couldn't take his eyes off her because all he could see what his dead girlfriend that had come back to life.

"Let's see, Sam Winchester. Winchester, I know that name, let me think…" Jessica mumbled as she bit her lower lip. "I seem to recall a Winchester years ago that chased me, but he wasn't good enough." She flipped her hair out of her face and grinned as she thought about the fun she was going to have with this hunter. She wondered why she had never thought of this before, taking a hunter to do her dirty work and toy with. She glanced in back and saw Sam looking at her with utter love and devotion. She had Sam right where she wanted him.

Dean had taken his time in deciding where to buy their lunch and had stopped at a convenience store to pick up a six pack. He drew in the enticing smell of the food and licked his lips as he pulled into the motel parking lot. He parked in front of their room and grabbed the bags before getting out. Dean was humming to himself as he opened the door and suddenly knew something wasn't right.

"Sammy?" Dean called as he quickly took in the room. Sam was not sitting at the table, nor was he in the bathroom. "Sam?" he called again knowing there was no place for Sam to hide. He dropped the bag on the bed and stepped back outside to look around to see if Sam had gone to the vending machines. He didn't see anyone else around and went back inside.

After pulling out his cell, he dialed Sam's number waiting for it to ring. He looked around when a beeping sounded in the room. Dean investigated the trash can and found Sam's cell there. He fished it out and swore under his breath as he looked around spotting Sam's bag was missing. He looked into the bathroom and saw that bag was gone too. Something on Sam's bed caught his attention and he walked over to it to find a gun, several knives, and a small vial of holy water scattered across it. The more he looked, the more puzzled and perplexed he became.

"What the hell Sammy?" Dean mumbled out loud as he looked around the room again. All of Sam's notes and his laptop were still sitting on the table as before. It seemed only his duffle was missing. He looked closer at Sam's phone and pulled up the call history to see a number he didn't recognize. He hit the number to dial it and got a message that the number was no longer in service. "Sonovabitch!" he spat as threw the cell on the bed in disgust.

He knew there was still some tension between Sam and him, but he thought they were working it out. Dean was sure Sam had been miffed at him because he left him to do the grunt work while he left to check out the crime scenes. But Dean was sure Sam hadn't been that angry to pack and leave like this, especially when he had no wheels.

Dean slowly turned a full circle as he surveyed the room again and did his best to not let panic set in. He punched in a number that had been memorized and waited for an answer.

"Singer," a gruff male voice answered in an annoyed tone.

"Bobby, I think I screwed up and now Sammy's missing," Dean blurted out before he could stop himself.

"Hold on, Dean. Now, start from the beginning and tell me what's happened," Bobby told him as he took a seat at his desk.

"We picked up the case in New Mexico and figured out we were looking for, a siren. I left Sam to do some research at the motel and went to check the crime scenes and talk to any family or friends of the victims. When I got back Sammy's not here and his duffle's gone, but he left his weapons and cell phone. Bobby, I think the siren has gotten him."

"Did you and your brother have a falling out again?"

"No, not really. We were working things out and it was better. He left all his research and laptop here. That's not like him Bobby. If the siren has him under her spell, there's no tell what she'll do with him."

"Have you checked any security cameras at the motel?"

"Not yet…Damn, Dean you dummy…" Dean growled at himself. "I had almost forgotten, as a precaution I sewed a tracking device into Sam's jacket. I should check that out," Dean rushed turning Sam's laptop around and tapping the keys to pull the tracking program up. He started it running and waited impatiently for it to finish.

"Let me know what you find," Bobby told him as he listened to Dean swearing under his breath at himself for forgetting that.

Knowing he would need to leave when he found Sammy, Dean crammed his clothes into his duffle and headed into the bathroom for his bag. He gathered up the weapons left by Sam and put them in the weapon's bag.

The laptop dinged and Dean hurried back to it to see what had come up.

"Holy shit," Dean exclaimed.

"What is it son? Did you not find anything."

"The program says that Sammy is at the airport on the outskirts of town."

"The siren wanted to get Sam away from you and what better way than to hop a plane somewhere," Bobby offered.

"I'm heading out Bobby. I'll call you when I find something." Dean packed the laptop and stuffed the papers on the table into the computer bag. He made sure to gather everything to take with him.

"I'll call around to see if there's anyone nearby that can help you Dean. You shouldn't be doing this by yourself and I'm too far away to help."

"Thanks Bobby. Have them call me if you find someone."

"Son, you be careful. Sirens are nasty creatures."

"I will Bobby." Dean hung up and picked up his bags to head out to find his brother. He was still angry at himself for letting this happen and guilt was eating at his soul. He had to find Sam before the siren had him kill someone and then commit suicide himself.

After racing to the airport, Dean ran inside looking around for his brother. He looked out the wall of windows and saw a flight taking off, climbing into the blue sky. He pulled out his cell to pull up the tracking program to find the tracker was moving away from him and in the sky. Knowing Sam had to be on that plane, Dean started searching for an information desk to find out where the flight was going.

"Bobby, I missed them at the airport," Dean huffed angrily when his call was answered. "He's on his way to Springdale, Arkansas and so am I."

"Okay son, I'll send out some feelers to hunters I trust and see who's available in the area."

"Tell them to not approach Sammy and wait for me to get there." Dean ran for the doors and to the Impala to head east toward Arkansas. "Talk to you later Bobby."

"Keep me informed Dean and don't do anything stupid. You know Sam is an experienced hunter and is not in his right mind right now so he can be dangerous. Being your brother won't mean anything to him since he's under the siren's control."

"I know Bobby, but I'm getting my brother back." Dean hung up the cell and drove from the airport to pick up the main highway east wishing he was closer. He pressed harder on the gas trying not to think about what the siren might do to Sam.

A/N: The siren is smart and thinks she's found the perfect lackey. Can Dean get to them before Sam does something he can't live with? Reviews/Comments would be great. NC
