DigiDestined: Takeru Takaishi

Digimon Partner: Patamon

Crest: Takeru has the Crest of Hope

Now I'll be honest for a second and say that Takeru and Patamon are probably my least favorite characters in all of Digimon 01 and 02. Takeru doesn't really imbody his own crest someone else has to inspire hope and then he seems to remember "hey that's supposed to be my job" or he is apart of someone else's story as a supporting cast member, and Patamon...for a Digimon with one of the strongest and lore heavy Digivolution lines is not kind of weak with only ever having two real big moments and both are in 01. So how about a reminder on how powerful this guinea pig with wings really is.

Patamon- Patamon is a Rookie level Digimon with a signature move called Boom Bubble where he sucks in air and shoot it out as an air bullet.

Angemon- Angemon is a Champion level Digimon with a signature move called Heaven's Knuckle where he strikes the opponent with his fist shining gold. He can also fire a beam of energy from his fist.

MagnaAngemon- MagnaAngemon is a Ultimate level Digimon with a signature move called Heaven's Gate where he manifests a door to subspace from which there is no return, and consigns the opponent to oblivion through it. The gate can also fire a blast of light, or transport the opponent to another location.

Seraphimon- Seraphimon is a Mega level Digimon with a signature move called Strike of the Seven Stars where he fires seven super-heated spheres of light at the opponent.

Once again as soon as one of the 02 kids partners hits ultimate the bad guys need to pack it up and forfeit, MagnaAngemon is pretty much a mix of a medic and a attacker (which is kind of funny given the fact he has a Priest mode and a Battle mode). He can heal with Magna Antidote and can deal attacks with moves like Soul Vanisher that can create shockwave from slamming the sword into the ground. he can even block attacks with his shield and turn the energy into an attack.

And once again on of the 02 kids has a Digimon that is a apart of a named group and this time it's one of the Celestial Trio (Celestial Digimon) and for a short reminder on how strong they are in the Hurricane Touchdown move Cherubimon (evil) one tapped both Seraphimon and Magnadramon, and even if they are different series in Digimon Frontier Mercurymon was able to beat him thanks to him being in a weakened state and then the Frontier team had to deal with Dark Seraphimon and had Seraphimon not shared some of his power to unlock Fusion Evolution the show would've end right there and this power came from Seraphimon's egg which is terrifying.

It's no wonder Patamon was always ready to fight little dude knows he can put in damage...too bad he got paired with Takeru who still has trauma after Devimon, not faulting him after all he was like 7 when his little buddy "died".

And that about wraps it up for the Hope duo, shorter than Iori and Armadillomon but like I said this is mainly just a refresher on how strong a Patamon can really be and since the two are part of the 02 crew. Next we'll take a look into Yolei and Hawkmon.
