Chapter 10: Mental Health and Recipes

The next day, we all met up at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh for a discussion group on mental health. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. Prior to the discussion group, we jammed out to our usual music of NSYNC, 98 Degrees, Kate Bush, and Lizzo. After our discussion group was over, we headed down the street to do a show and tell on recipes and had yet another Pop2K marathon on SiriusXM. "I wanted to make the wedding cake that we ate when Freddie got married in honor of my late mother, Samantha Shay," Carly stated. "I gave her the recipe and all," Mr. Benson stated. "What a delicious recipe!" Spencer happily exclaimed. "I wanted to share my all-time favorite food with you guys," Alex told us, "and that is none other than homemade chicken Caesar salad!" "We love it, too," Max stated. "That's what we had for lunch on the day of our SATs back in high school," Justin remembered. "Maybe next time, I will share my top 5 favorite things to eat for breakfast with you guys, which are eggs, avocado, beans, oatmeal, and fruit," Alex continued. "Well, we made 2 recipes: homemade pizza and a special birthday cake for our client and very best friend Abigail Carson, who is turning 15 years old today," James told us. "I love homemade pizza a whole lot," Henri stated, licking his lips. "I do, too," Sarah stated. "While the pizza and cake at Molly's Sweet 16 party was tasty, it is even better when you make these things from scratch." "In honor of the winter sleepover from last night, we made Abigail a birthday cake to look like Olaf from Frozen," James continued. "We also used some delicious candies to decorate the cake, and some of these candies were what I remember handing out on Halloween!" "Can we have some ice cream for dessert after we try everyone's foods?" I asked. "Okay," Sarah agreed with me. "After all, who doesn't love ice cream?" Once we were done eating all of our homemade recipes, it was time for all of us to go home. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
