Paw Patrol X: What Makes A Hero
Part Six: Chase's Closure
Immediately after Chase caught that car, Kendra ran over to the Paw Patrol to inform them of the Cloud Catcher's status. "The Cloud Catcher has gone critical! There's no way to bring it down!"
Ryder looked up to where Kendra was pointing as he thought of an idea. As he did, Skye announced her own attempt to take it down herself. "We'll see about that!"
"Be careful up there." Ryder advised Skye, knowing that the Cloud Catcher wasn't your normal piece of tech.
"Don't worry about me. I can handle a little turbulence." Skye assured Ryder as he helicopter started rising. She started flying up to reach the Cloud Catcher the best she could.
Somewhere else in town, Liberty was riding around to let Zuma know what was going on. "Zuma, this is Liberty. Streets are empty. Everyone's safe."
"Copy that! Good job Libewty dude." Zuma replied, and then he was shown driving near what looked like a lower part of town that got flooded. He heard a family calling for help in a car. "Hold on! There's a caw in the water! And a family! I'm diving in!" Zuma drove through the wall of the road and barked for his submarine mode. "Submarine!" Once it formed, he went after the family without a second to lose.
Liberty arrived at the scene, letting Zuma know that she had his back. "I'm right behind you Zuma!"
"Copy that!" Zuma responded, pressing a button on his vehicle and spawning a raft of some kind for Liberty.
Liberty hopped onto the raft and took off in Zuma's direction. "I'm in your raft! Headed downstream!"
Zuma was getting closer and closer to the car, ready to bring the family up to shore. "I'm closing in on the car!" His submarine arms grabbed onto the car, stopping it right there. "Got ya!" He then barked for his scuba-suit. "Scuba-suit!" Zuma's scuba-suit came on, and after he popped out of the bottom of the submarine, he went to save the family in the car.
The daughter of the family was quite excited to see a member of the Paw Patrol. "Wow; it's Zuma from the Paw Patrol!" She took her phone out for a selfie, giving a peace sign which the father gave a smile and reluctant thumbs up to. "Everybody say scuba life!"
"Scuba life!" Zuma said right before the selfie was taken, giving a peace sign himself to fit the mood.
The mother was quick to tell her daughter how poor her timing was after that. "Now, is not the time for selfies!" That was rewarded with an annoyed sigh.
Up above, Liberty was arriving at the location Zuma was in and let him know she was up there. "Okay! The rescue raft is in position!"
"Thanks Libewty." The family emerged from underwater with Zuma heading on over to the raft and climbing onto the raft before calling Ryder. "Wyder, this is Zuma! The family is safe, and we're headed to dwy land!"
"Good job pups." Ryder said over the Pup-Tag, glad that the family was able to be saved in time.
During this time, Ryder and Chase had just been informed by a female reporter that Humdinger was still in his building. "I'll head up there and save him. You get to safety." The reporter nodded with Ryder giving Chase his command. "Chase, you get her to safety. I've got Humdinger." Chase nodded in response just before Ryder rushed towards the building. Marshall and Rocky were opening the door to the building, allowing Ryder to run in and praise their timing. "Perfect timing pups!" Ryder rushed towards the elevator and pressed a button to go up.
After the elevator door closed, Skye was shown to be rising up higher and higher in the Cloud Catcher storm. She looked at her sonar and saw that the Cloud Catcher was close by. "Cloud Catcher dead ahead! This is gonna get bumpy!" And with that, she rode into the storm, ready for whatever came her way.
In the top floor of Humdinger's building, Humdinger was hiding under his desk while his kitties slid on the floor and desk. "It's okay kitties! We'll just hunker down and ride out the storm!"
Just then, Ryder arrived at the top floor, making his presence known as he called for Mayor Humdinger. "Mayor Humdinger!?"
Mayor Humdinger sat in his chair, trying to keep it cool as he put his elbow on his desk, and his head on his fist. "Yes, how can I help you?" He then recognized Ryder and got defensive. "Ryder? What are YOU doing here?"
The kittens hissed at Ryder before he explained his presence. "This tower isn't safe! We've gotta get you out of here!" Just then, the power went out in the tower, which told Ryder that he had less options to work with. "Oh no. The power's out. That means the elevator's dead." He also turned on his badge, which doubled as a light. "We have to go now!"
"Nice try! I'm not going anywhere with you!" Mayor Humdinger insisted stubbornly. That is... until the top had roof of his building came off, making him more vulnerable to the storm. "Ah! My top hat!" As the kittens stuck to Humdinger's legs, he reluctantly agreed to Ryder's offer as he walked over to him. "Okay, fine. I'll go with you. But I want to make it very clear, this is NOT a rescue! It's more of an... assistant exit! Yes."
"You can call it whatever you want, as long as you cooperate!" Ryder assured Mayor Humdinger, not really caring what he called it by this point. "I'll release the cables manually from above." Ryder jumped off the wall and up to the top of the elevator. "Once I've lowered you down safely, I'll repel down the elevator shaft." Ryder then went through the door and looked down at Humdinger to try and stay professional. "I just want you to know. Despite our personal differences over the years, I take no pleasure in doing this."
"Doing what?" Humdinger asked, and then Ryder pulled a lever that caused the elevator to descend at a rapid rate.
As Humdinger screamed in terror, Ryder chuckled before admitting that he started to find it funny. "Actually, that's pretty satisfying." As the elevator continued descending, Ryder counted up with his hands before pushing the lever back after he reached five. Once Humdinger reached the bottom, he was still screaming.
It took at least seven seconds, but Humdinger stopped screaming once he realized everyone was looking at him awkwardly. "Oh! Nothing to worry about. Everything's fine."
"Awww, the dog hating low-life lived!" Charm whined, revealing that he wished Humdinger died in the chaos.
At the top floor, Ryder was filling the team in on his current position in the tower while using his grappling hook on the top elevator wire. "Okay pups! Humdinger's out! I'm coming down!"
As Ryder started descending, Chase made sure to praise him for his efforts. "Nice job Ryder! See you on the ground!"
Suddenly, another part of the tower broke, throwing Ryder off and halting his descent. "Whoa! That's not good." Another part of the tower broke right above Ryder, causing him to have to think quick on what to do. "Whoa! That's VERY not good!" He descended even faster, but not fast enough. The tower continued to break on the outside thanks to the power from the storm. It toppled over so much that it broke out of the ground, causing Ryder to have to dodge quickly, as debris flew at him on the inside. However, he wasn't fast enough to reach the bottom.
Chase was looking around for more people to help, only to hear the tower falling in the distance. It broke through a building on the way down, and as Chase watched a piece fall to the ground, he instantly realized what was going on. "Ryder!" Chase didn't hesitate to get into his car, getting started with a look of pure determination before he drove off. Another piece of the building flew towards him, and Chase barked for his shield while pressing a button. "Shield!"
Once the shield came up, the flying debris was blocked, allowing Chase to continue driving to Ryder's location. He broke through some more flying debris as well before making a sharp turn in an alleyway. After that, he reached the building Ryder was stuck at and barked for motorcycle mode. "Motorcycle!" Chase's car turned into a motorcycle once again, and he started driving as fast as he could to the building. He drove around some debris and used a side of the tower stairs as a ramp. After he jumped off, he barked for his tires to change. "Suction tires!"
The tires changed to suction tires, allowing Chase to start driving up the wall of the tower. He then assured Ryder that he was coming for him. "I'm coming Ryder!" On the way up, Chase continued to evade falling debris, and even slid underneath one with a motorcycle slide. His last bit of debirs was a chunk of building, which he punched to break, due to not having the time to dodge. He shook off the pain from his paw after that, and then he jumped over a hole in the wall in slow motion.
He continued his ascent up the building, managing to reach the highest point and skid to a stop once he got up there. He arrived right at a door he could go through and started looking for Ryder. "Ryder! Where are you!? It's me, Chase!" Chase noticed Ryder's light on the other side of the path. He knew it had to be him. "Ryder! I can see your light! Hang on!" Chase started running down the path, making sure not to go too fast due to the unpredictability of the night. He jumped over some loose wall with a front flip before skidding right at the edge of the path.
Chase looked down and saw what was before him, and he started to breath somewhat quickly as he backed up. However, this time, he wasn't going to let his fear get the better of him. "I can do this. I can do this. I can do this!" He barked for his grappling hook after motivating himself. "Grappling hook!" However, the storm was too much for his grappling hook to handle, and it flew in the wind. "Oh crap!" It even caught onto something on the ground, instantly pulling Chase with him.
Chase was normally strong enough to overcome this with ease. But he was so surprised by this that he got dragged right over to the ledge screaming. He held onto the ledge with his hat flying off as he made his next command. "Disconnect Pup-Pack!" Chase's Pup-Pack disconnected, and he climbed back up once it did. He looked across the area he almost fell down and started backing up, unsure of what to do with his newly found setbacks. "Ryder."
Then, Chase started thinking to himself about who he was. The support from his friends, and one key part of why being in the Paw Patrol made him happy. 'The real reason I chose you, is because you were the bravest pup I'd ever seen." Ryder made him feel valuable. Loved. Worthy of a good life. And above all else, a hero. He finally realized that Adventure City didn't define who he was. It was his actions, such as surviving in the city, and becoming Ryder's second in command that did that. At last, Chase found what he needed for the past sixteen years.
Closure.
'No job is too big, no pup is too small. No matter who it is, we provide help for all. Whether it's light or dark, whether it's pleasant or foul. We'll rise up against all danger with a mighty...'
Chase let out a determined howl that echoed in sync with the storm before he ran as fast as he could to jump to the other side. He jumped right at the edge of the platform, and he started crossing the gap in slow motion as he was shown jumping as the rain fell. The determined look in his eyes made it clear he wasn't giving up. And the height he was above the ground, which was equivalent to fifty feet, wasn't gonna stop him. He crossed the gap and skidded to a stop once he landed.
After he landed, he started looking for Ryder in the hopes that he would be able to save him. "Ryder?" He rushed on ahead, jumping up onto some debris and seeing Ryder coughing as he recovered from the collision. He had some debris stuck on his leg, and the position it held him in made it impossible for him to lift it up on his own. Chase jumped down, being beyond relieved to see his leader, owner, and friend still alive. "Ryder!"
"Chase!" Ryder exclaimed as Chase ran over to him, being ecstatic to see his first dog. "I can't believe you found me."
Chase smiled as he started playing Ryder's catchphrase back to him. "Hey. No job is too big..."
And the two of them did a fist pump upon completing it together. "No pup is too small."
Just then, two ends of a broken wire started short circuiting, leaving Chase to have to act quickly. "Oh crap. Come on, we gotta get you out of here."
"I can't; I'm stuck." Ryder informed Chase, and his attempt to move the building showed another reason why; that being some of the rubble above him starting to fall in dust form.
Chase got right next to where Ryder was, or the best he could for that, as he instructed him on what to do. "On three, pull as hard as you can! One... two... three!" Ryder started pulling on command, and once he did, Chase saw an opening underneath the debris. He jumped over to it and started lifting up the debris himself, making sure not to throw it off to avoid making the building collapse further. After a few seconds of struggle, the two of them were able to get Ryder's leg free. Once he got out, Chase set the debris down as carefully as he could.
Chase looked over at Ryder, who was relieved and happy to be out of the debris. "You did it."
Chase walked over to Ryder, who was more than happy to see him again. "We did it."
Chase and Ryder hugged to show how much they both truly believed that Chase was a hero. "Now come on; let's get out of here." Chase and Ryder then headed off with lightning booming once again to show that the Cloud Catcher was still a threat.
Skye was still making her way towards the Cloud Catcher, having a similar look of determination to the one Chase had. "Just a little bit further!" Skye finally saw the Cloud Catcher after passing through the final set of clouds. She was in awe by what she saw. "Whoa." She closed in on the Cloud Catcher some more, but when lightning got close to her helicopter, she rolled her eyes and made it clear she wasn't a fan. "Oh great. Lightning!" Snow's snark definitely rubbed off on her.
Skye got closer to the Cloud Catcher and barked before flipping a switch in her helicopter. "Net!" A net gun popped out from the bottom of her helicopter, and Skye started aiming it at the Cloud Catcher. Once it said 'Target Acquired!', Skye knew to make her move. "Fire!" Skye pressed the paw shaped button and fired the net at the Cloud Catcher. It wrapped around the machine successfully, allowing Skye to start flying upward with it. "Got it!" Or so she thought. The lightning was so strong that it broke the net as soon as she tried. "Whoa! Don't got it!"
Skye faced some turbulence, but she wasn't about to let that cause her to fall to the ground. "Come on baby, turn it around!" With a grunt, Skye was able to turn her helicopter back up, allowing her to set her sights back on the Cloud Catcher. She rose up to its level, avoiding the lightning the best she could. Once she was right across from the Cloud Catcher, she gave a grin as she got ready to take it down with her plan B. "Okay Cloud Catcher. Catch this!"
She flipped open a latch that revealed the button that let her go into jet mode. After doing so, she pushed a lever forward and started up her turbo boosters. She went at max speed, knowing she would only have one shot at this. Once she was right in front of it, she pulled a latch "Eject!", and ejected just in time for the jet to crash into the Cloud Catcher! She had a dead eye view of the explosion, and once it exploded, the storm that was covering Adventure City stopped, and the dark clouds vanished in response to said explosion.
Wave, Snow, and Liberty were checking outside with Wave noticing Skye falling from above. "Hey! Is that Skye!?"
Snow and Liberty looked up with Snow making another sarcastic quip in response. "No Wave; that's a totally different Cockapoo pilot falling from the sky right after the Cloud Catcher exploded." Wave and Liberty snickered at her snark with Wave also kissing her out of love.
"Woo-hooooo!" Skye was enjoying the fall quite a bit, getting a rush from how intense the moment was. She laughed a bit before calling out again in joy. "Woooooooooo!" After that, her Pup-Pack's wings activated, allowing her to fall at a slower rate. Once her boosters came on, she made her way to the ground to rejoin her friends. She zipped through the city on the way there.
Wave called up to Skye, finding what she just did to be spectacular. "Yay Skye!"
"That's my girl!" Snow called out, being proud of Skye for her role in the mission.
The rest of the pups had joined them, running over to Skye as Marshall congratulated her. "Good job Skye!"
"That was totally awesome!" Zuma chimed in after Marshall's words.
Liberty had some choice words of her own for Skye. "Okay. Next to Wave, you're definitely my favorite pup!"
"I'm honored." Skye responded, and her visor and wings went away after she pressed her Pup-Tag. "I sure hope Ryder got insurance on my copter." As soon as Skye said that, her helicopter crashed to the ground, making her flinch as the broken off Pup-Tag rolled over to her.
"That'll buff right out!" Rocky stated out with a smile, leaving Skye to give him an annoyed eyebrow raise.
Just then, Chase and Ryder left the building, leaving the others to run over to them as they noticed. As they rushed over, Rubble jumped up to Ryder once he sat down and started licking his face. Marshall, Rocky, and Zuma did the same as Skye reminded them to let him breathe. "Okay, okay. Give him some air."
After the others backed up, Liberty checked to see if Ryder was feeling okay. "How do you feel?"
Ryder laughed a bit before comment on his face with a smile. "Like I'm covered in drool."
"I can't help it. I'm a bulldog. My tongue is too big for my mouth!" Rubble stuck his tongue out to prove his point, making the others laugh in response.
Ryder walked over to Chase's hat after seeing it on the ground. He picked it up and offered it to Chase once he walked over to him. "You did good everyone." The rest of Adventure City's citizens, or at least the ones who were in the building, left to the outside air, including Mayor Humdinger.
As the citizens of Adventure City cheered, Mayor Humdinger carried his kittens and started his getaway. "Time for me to get out of here."
Just then, Humdinger tripped, causing his kittens to scatter. Humdinger saw Charm leaning on a wall and looking at his phone with his foot sticking out, and his paw in the pocket of a red hoodie he was wearing. "Oh, sorry. Totally saw you there."
Humdinger growled in response before Chase called over to him. "Hey! Mayor Humdinger!" Mayor Humdinger gulped before Chase called him out for his actions, along with the rest of the angry Paw Patrol Canines. "You're under arrest for gross negligence, public endangerment, and if my encounter with your goonies earlier today was anything to go by, dog napping!"
"You can't arrest me! I'm the Mayor!" Mayor Humdinger declared, but Charm stepped on him as Chase walked over, having the perfect punishment for him in mind.
Zuma, Claw, and Charm started chanting with some of the pups rolling their eyes while smiling, and the rest laughing a bit as the chanting continued. "Toxic tail! Toxic tail! Toxic tail! Toxic tail! Toxic tail!" And as Chase sat down on Mayor Humdinger's face, the final chant led to Chase lifting his leg and winking to the camera before scrunching his face to unleash... "Toxic tail!"
PHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT
...a loud and bassy ten second fart that reeked of rotten eggs, causing Mayor Humdinger to cough and gag as the yellow cloud erupted from Chase's vibrating butt, and right onto him. He then shoved Chase off of him as Chase was still laughing, demanding that he be arrested for his 'crimes', along with the others. "I should have you all incarcerated instead! Nobody makes a fool of Mayor Humdinger five times in the same day!"
"Um, yeah. Because you always do it to yourself!" Snow snarked, making the rest of the pups laugh as Mayor Humdinger started crying like a baby.
"Waaaaaah!"
A shot of Adventure City was shown descending slowly as Kendra started talking about how important protecting Adventure City was. "Adventure City is our home. It's up to all of us to take care of it." The subway car door was about to close on an elderly woman, but the buff guy Liberty met two days prior stopped it and helped her on, much to her gratitude.
The scene then changed to Carmen taking down a missing dog poster, indicating that Humdinger's actions of dognapping were true. "But once in a while, a group of heroes go above and beyond the call of duty." Carmen saw a male human walking his dog and gave a friendly wave back to him. "They look out for their neighbors before they look out for themselves." Kendra was then shown talking at the podium of the Adventure City stage as she gushed about the Paw Patrol. "And they are so darn cute, I just wanna squeeze them!"
Marty Muttmaker then stepped up to the podium as Kendra pulled out the Adventure City key. "It is our great honor to present the key to Adventure City to...
The two of them then said the iconic team name in sync. "the Paw Patrol!
The Paw Patrol all came out on stage after that, and Ryder happily accepted the key from Kendra. He looked at Chase, who smiled back at him as Richie then revealed himself to be at the front of the crowd. "That's what I'm talkin' about! Way to go guys!"
"We know they've been famous for almost a decade and a half now, but this is still huge!" Diane said next to Richie, who wrapped his arm around his mother once she did so to him.
Sweetie and Caiohme were in the crowd too, and the buff guy smiled as Sweetie told him about his history with the Paw Patrol. "One of those dogs is my brother. I'll admit; I thought I'D be the first to get city fame."
Marty Muttmaker was heading over to Rubble, getting his attention with something he wanted to give him. "Hey Rubble." He knelt down to his level to show how sincere he was. "I got something for ya."
Marty took his wig off and put it on Rubble's head. Afterwards, Rubble happily declared his desire to keep it on. "I am NEVER taking this off!"
The rest of the pups laughed before Ryder spoke into the microphone himself. "I want to take this special occasion to introduce you to the newest member of the Paw Patrol! You all know her as the pup who's been watching over this city for three years. Adventure City's very own... Liberty!"
An excited Liberty came over to Ryder, and Wave joined her as she climbed up to a stepping stool to look at everyone. Liberty was ecstatic when she saw Ryder about to put her very own collar on her. The first one she ever had. And a coral pink Pup-Tag too. "My own Pup-Tag?"
"Welcome to the family Liberty." Ryder said happily. The use of the word 'family' was what melted Liberty's heart the most. She finally had a family. Admittedly, after Wave helped her realize how much Adventure City cared about her earlier that day, she realized she already had a city who supported her. But that didn't take anything away from how happy she was in this very moment.
Liberty was more than happy to show all of Adventure City her new Pup-Tag. "I'm official. Hey! Check it out! I'm officially official! Official member of the Paw Patrol right here!" The rest of the team howling to match her excitement made it even more clear to her. After thirteen years, she had others she could call family. And a part of her home. She even let out a howl herself to join them. And Wave got her attention before bringing her in for a hug. She happily wrapped her arms around Wave, shedding a tear of joy over how things turned out.
Ryder spoke into the microphone again, being more than honored to be renowned heroes of Adventure City. "Thank you for this honor. The Paw Patrol will always look out for Adventure City. In fact, after talking it over with Chase..."
Chase walked up to the podium and spoke into the microphone himself to prove he was okay with this. "We decided that we're going to stay here for a while." The people in the city were very happy to hear that. "And in the meantime, we'll be finding new members to help out here for when we eventually move back to Adventure Bay."
Ryder rubbed Chase's head before he finished the announcement himself. "Remember. If you're ever in trouble, just yelp for help!" The people in Adventure City cheered for the Paw Patrol, and Chase looked over to see all of them looking in such high esteem. To think he went from being alone in this city, to be a renowned hero in it. He never thought he'd see the day. Actually, he didn't think he'd ever come back. But he was glad he did. He finally got the closure he needed, and felt confident that the Canine he showed himself as... was his true self.
Just then, a montage of the aftermath was shown as upbeat music started playing, and over the montage was the song: Good Mood. The montage began with Rubble doing some construction work on the new railway for the subway. He wiped his forehead when he was finished. "You make me, dance; yeah ya do-o. You got my heart beating rhythms when you move." Rocky was then shown putting some M.S. means together to help it stay reinforced for subway travel. "Don't need no, plans. Feeling loo-oose. Like there's a rainbow of magic, next to you."
The next part of the montage had Snow and Everest making some kind of cold treat machine on Everest's snow mobile. "When it's good, when it's bad, yeah, you got me. Not alone in this town, cause you make me feel." Then, Zuma was shown playing his guitar as he guided some ducks over to him for him and Rocky to feed as Rocky had his arm wrapped around Zuma. "Anytime that I call, you'll be ready. Anytime. Anytime." That's when they started feeding them mealworms. "And when..."
The next part of the montage showed Mayor Humdinger being in his jail cell, sulking about the fact that he lost. "I turn around, I see you there." He was furious when he looked out the window to see Wave and Liberty helping others. "You got a way to make a problem disappear." Skye was then shown flying around the city, making sure everyone was safe. She then saw the repairs being made on her helicopter, waving to the guy repairing them, who waved back before she flew off again. "Up to the clouds, I'm spinning around, and now you know why."
The next part of the montage had Rocky working with Kendra at her lab to fix the Cloud Catcher. "Cause no one, in this world, makes me feel loved in the way that you do now." Chase was then spraying down his car with a hose, only to be sent flying around due to Marshall tightening a hydrant. Despite Chase laughing in response, Marshall was worried about him once he noticed. "No, no one, in this world can make me come down when I'm in such a good good mood now."
"Woo-hoo!" Marshal loosened the hose and ran over to Chase once he fell. After he did, Chase smirked and playfully sprayed Marshall, making him laugh. "Good mood!"
The next part of the montage showed Charm and Claw standing guard outside of a building as Charm was face timing Moby. "Hop in my, ride don't you kno-ow." The three laughed after Claw tripped the guy running out of the building as Charm and Claw hi pawed. "We got the sun always shining wherever we go." Then, Wave and Marshall were shown putting out a fire together in a big building. "Don't need no, map, we just roll." The people who lived in the apartment complex were cheering as they got it done. "Let the vibe give direction, take control."
Then, Liberty was being shown her new room, which Ryder was modifying specifically for her. "When it's good, when it's bad, yeah you got me." Wave, Chase, and Ryder were the ones showing it to her. She smiled to them with immense joy as tears rolled down her face. "Not alone in this town 'cause you make me feel." Richie was meeting Liberty after that, shaking her paw to welcome her to the team. She was more than happy to meet him. "Anytime that I call, you'll be ready. Anytime. Anytime. And when..."
Since Sweetie and Caiohme were visiting, Liberty got to greet them too. She was happy to meet them too, but her mouth movements showed her apologizing when Sweetie was annoyed by her fast paw-shaking. "I turn around. I see you there. You got a way to make a problem disappear." Wave, Snow, and Liberty were then shown playing at the park, establishing themselves as a trio after Wave kissed Snow and shared a hug with her and Liberty during their time of play. "Up to the clouds, I'm spinning around, and now you know why."
Chase was then shown using Marshall's ladder to use pin point accuracy with saving a construction worker from falling scaffolding. Liberty caught him on her scooter after he bounced off of the net. "Cause no one, in this world, makes me feel loved, in the way that you do now." And for the final task of the day, Wave was helping a cat from a tree and giving him to his owner. "No, no one, in this world can make me come down when I'm in such a good good mood now."
Later that night, when it was still young, all of the Paw Patrol were sitting in the park together as they watched a firework show. "Woo-hoo!" Wave was sitting with Liberty, taking her paw in case she got scared, much to her gratitude. "Good mood!" Chase was sitting with Skye and Marshall, having his arm wrapped around the former and paw bumping the latter. "Woo-hoo!" Snow and Everest were sitting together as well, and Snow was leaning against her older sister. "Good mood!"
Charm was face timing Moby again, and while he had his headphones on while modeling for obvious reasons, he stayed in the call to spend time with the Paw Patrol, and especially Charm. "You make me in a good mood!" Claw was doing the same with Coral, who was sitting on her Pup-Lantis throne as she looked in awe at the fireworks. "Woo-hoo!" Rocky and Zuma were cuddling with each other with Rubble joining them by sitting in Rocky's lap. "Good mood!"
Ryder and Richie were enjoying the show together, and so were Sweetie and Caiohme. "Woo-hoo!" Sweetie was streaming the firework show on her phone, making sure her followers got a taste of what she was viewing right now. The title of the video said 'Adventure City fireworks for the Paw Patrol! One of them is my brother.' "Good mood!" Then, everyone was shown sitting together as the last firework was one that showed everyone in the Paw Patrol. From the leader Ryder, to the newest member Liberty, they were all shown together in it. "Good mood!"
After the firework show, everyone was back at HQ getting ready for bed, and Chase looking over the city on the balcony. A slow, instrumental piano style version of the Nick Jr. show's theme played as he did. The city was incredibly peaceful when everyone else was asleep. And now that he's come to terms with his past in this city, he could appreciate that. He was no longer sacred of standing in the city, or even hearing its name. Of course, his fear of letting others down would never go away. But he finally felt confident enough to stop beating himself up over it.
Today was a long day for him. Probably the most eventful singular day in his entire life. But he was glad he lived it. It helped him realize that, as much as he feared coming back to Adventure City, this return was something he truly needed. Now that he had closure with Adventure City, he could finally say that he was confident in himself. That he... liked himself. Loved himself even. And that the personality he'd developed over the course of sixteen years... was his true self.
Skye opened the door to the balcony and saw Chase looking over the city. She smiled when she saw him in a good mood when calling him for bed. "Chasey! We gotta get to bed!"
Chase closed his eyes, breathing in through his nose and out from his mouth, keeping his smile as he looked back at his girlfriend. "Coming Skye!" As Chase walked inside and wrapped his arm around Skye, Adventure City was shown from the view of the balcony in all of its glory. Chase's story wasn't over yet. And there would always be moments where Chase would be faced with a trial he didn't know how to handle at first. But now, he was happy, and certain that he had what makes a hero.
The Mighty Pups Era begins in season five.
