Burning Forest (Night)

Morticia figured that her job would be relatively easy. After all, how hard was it to find a pyromaniac with a fire-breathing lizard? As it turned out, incredibly hard when you're being chased by a giant shadow bird.

To backtrack a bit, she arrived in the forest via helicopter drop. After that, she was supposed to track down the Kalos Champion by homing in on the energy given off by his Key Stone. Now, this would've made the search easy. But of course, something had to ruin her day. As she ran in the direction of the Key Stone's energy, only for a shadowy behemoth to almost trample her. But just before being turned into a red paste, something grabbed her and pulled her out of the way.

"Are you okay?" Shoji asked. He didn't recognize the girl he saved, but he'd rather unknowingly save a villain than let an innocent person die. The girl was wearing a bright red suit, had red sunglasses, and had her pale blonde hair done in pigtails. What was the most off-putting was the fact that she was around UA age.

"Right now, just regretting ever coming to this forest." Morticia said, annoyed. This was supposed to be a simple mission.

"Now then, are you with the villains attacking the camp?" the masked boy asked, ready to fight, even with his injured dupli-arm.

"What!? No!" the girl said, shocked that he would make such an assumption. "I guess this is why he told me to make sure to not be seen by anyone."

"Who told you?" Shoji asked, suspicious.

"Well, not like you won't find out eventually." Morticia said, deciding to tell the student why she was here. "My boss told me to come to this location to find and retrieve Xiao-Long Dominic." That put Shoji on guard. "Wait, it's not like that. I'm supposed to rescue him! The villains here want to capture him so they can use his power for themselves!"

"And how do you know this?" Shoji asked, half-trusting the girl in front of him.

"It's... It's complicated, but you have to trust me!" Morticia pleaded. She then turned her attention to the writhing mass of shadow that was tearing the forest apart. "That's your classmate, right? I might be able to stun him for a while, then you can get out of here."

"His weakness is light." Shoji revealed. "Do you have a Quirk that produces light?"

"Not exactly." Morticia said, bringing out a Poke Ball. Shoji's eyes widened as he recognized the device. "Crobat, come out!" Tossing the ball into the air, Morticia released her partner. "I need you to use Sunny Day!" The Bat Pokemon flew into the air and started to emit a bright light, bathing the area in the warmth of the Sun. The change in weather caused Dark Shadow to writhe around in pain before shrinking back into Tokoyami's body.

"Thank you." the boy said between breaths. He was absolutely exhausted from how much Dark Shadow rampaged. She didn't recognize the strange girl, but she had a Pokemon. She had to have some sort of relation to Xiao-Long.

"Don't mention it." Morticia said, smiling. Coming down from above, Crobat landed on her arm with a proud expression on its face. "Crobat did most of the work, after all."

Burning Forest (Night)

Bakugo was not having a good day. Between being attacked, stranded in the forest with Todoroki, and having to fend off a crazed cannibal, he was starting to get angry. Why did he have to keep cowering behind someone else's Quirk? Then, in a blur of green light, Zygarde appeared and rammed its head into Moonfish's teeth blades. "What the hell!?" Bakugo shouted.

"I think that's one of Xiao-Long's Pokemon." Todoroki said. The serpentine creature seemed to pay them no mind, focusing all of its attention on Moonfish.

"Another one to carve up..." the villain said, curious about what was facing him. "DIE!"

The Legendary Pokemon's scales thankfully were tough enough to withstand the cutting power of the teeth blades, but it did still damage Zygarde. The Pokemon remained immobile for a few seconds, waiting for Moonfish to attack again. Once he did, it used Crunch to tear his teeth out of his gums. While the villain screamed in agony, Zygarde coated itself in green energy before ramming into him, sending him flying into the distance. After that, the Pokemon continued on its path forward.

"Okay, that was crazy." Morticia said, arriving on the scene with Tokoyami, Shoji, Midoriya, and Kota. The greenette had met up with them shortly after they calmed down Dark Shadow. "I guess that's why Boss called it a Legend."

"And, you are?" Todoroki asked.

"Don't worry, she's on our side." Tokoyami assured. "But what did you mean by that?"

"My Boss is well versed in certain myths and legends." Morticia explained. "He once told me about a green Pokemon that kept order in the ecosystem. It showed no mercy to those who disrespected nature. He said it was called Zygarde, and was powerful enough to change the world forever."

"Zygarde." Midoriya repeated, awestruck. He didn't know why, but he felt like the Pokemon was watching him, even though it was gone.

"It was headed towards camp." Todoroki observed. "It might be trying to find the villains."

"So, we're following it, right?" Kota asked. "If Xiao-Long's going to be anywhere, he's probably going to be in the center of the action. I may not know him as well as you all, but he just comes across as the kind of person who would do that."

Everyone stayed silent to think on that for a second. That was all they needed before they ran towards camp.
