Chapter 7

Exam week was brutal. Blossom had passed all her classes with A's and Buttercup made B's she was not complaining though. Bubbles enjoyed her project. Her teacher loved her outfit she designed and as a gift she let Robin have it. Two weeks had passed, and the sisters were enjoying their lives as college students and adults. They met at the usual spot after class and told each other about classes and what they were going to do for the day. Blossom was wearing her usual blue jeans and long sleeve shirt and white converse shoes. She had her hair out and her face had light makeup on. Bubbles was wearing a pair of black shorts and a white shirt covered by a blue, white, and black striped flannel shirt. Buttercup was wearing a pair of black capris and a green cameo shirt. She had her hair down and straightened.

"Well girls, what's the plan today?" Blossom asked.

Buttercup shrugged, "I'm off today and Syd is hanging with Max all weekend. I'll probably just chill in my dorm today."

Bubbles agreed, "Robin is going to a party tonight so I'll probably pick her out and outfit and go to the lake."

"Hmm well Susan and I are going to get coffee and study tonight then meet with our usual group to go over strategies to study better." Blossom stated.

Buttercup feigned a yawn, "Gosh you're boring but hey you do you."

Blossom huffed, "And I will."

Blossom left and went back to her dorm where she was thankful Cathy was nowhere to be seen. She quickly got her stuff and headed to Susan's dorm. Blossom had a key to the dorm, so she just let herself in. Susan and Blossom had become much closer. Susan was dressed in a plaid overalls and black shoes. She was so happy to have a friend. They walked to the library, and both got coffee and started discussing their classes. They studied for hours on end not even caring about the time. After a bit Susan looked at Blossom with a huge smile.

"So that party we went to with your sisters and those other girls two weeks ago. I got some good pictures of the party. I know there is supposed to be one tonight as well. Some of the group are going, do you want to go?" Susan asked.

Blossom shook her head, "No not tonight I umm have patrol tonight superheroes have no downtime you know."

"Oh, right I understand but hey we almost got them. These parties have gotten out of hand with the drugs and alcohol. College is for learning, not partying." Susan stated.

Blossom nodded in agreement. She wanted to interject and defend the parties and her sister's friends as well, but she didn't want to get into an argument with Susan. Plus, she didn't want to go to a party. She kind of just wanted to chill and drink coffee and probably watch a nature documentary. Susan and Blossom continued studying for another hour before calling in some lunch. They went back to Susans dorm where two salads were dropped off. They ate and listened to music. Blossom looked for an outfit for Susan; she decided to go with a wholesome outfit since Susan didn't like showing skin. She got her out a pair of jeans and a pretty gray long sleeve shirt. Susan opted out on makeup saying she would rather not look like a silly whore. Blossom said nothing as she found some pretty fitted boots for the party. Susan kept her hair in a messy little bun and then looked at the time it was hitting four-thirty. She was going to meet with some of the group around five. She hugged Blossom, asked for luck and then left. Blossom decided to head to her dorm and watch some tv. Lucky for her Cathy had been gone, probably spending nights at her friend's house or dorm and she was not complaining. Blossom decided to watch tv but instead of a nature documentary she decided on a cute little sitcom. It was hitting five when she decided to take a shower, but she quickly dropped everything when she heard Bubbles screaming. She quickly sped to where she heard the scream coming from.

Buttercup and Bubbles waved as they watched Blossom leave. Once they were sure she was completely gone Bubbles squealed and asked Buttercup how she and Butch were doing. Buttercup blushed. She and Butch had been dating for a week and a half. She avoided him for two days and the third day he cornered her at work and told her how much he liked her and how he wanted to at least try. Buttercup couldn't say no. Bubbles of course knew the moment they started dating. She was sworn to secrecy from telling Blossom. Of course, his brothers knew and would hound Buttercup as well as embarrass their brother any chance they got.

"Bubbles shh. We're good alright umm we're going to the movies today. His brothers are coming as well." Buttercup answered.

Bubbles cheered,"Ooo what movie is it?"

"A scary one you would pee your pants." Buttercup stated. Bubbles whimpered but Buttercup quickly changed the subject to something different. "So, you see anyone interesting here?"

Bubbles gave Buttercup a questionable look, "Huh?"

Buttercup shrugged, "I was just wondering. It's kind of awkward being the sister with a boyfriend."

"Secret boyfriend oh but come on I need to get your makeup done and oh your hair and I have the perfect outfit for you." Bubbles squealed.

Buttercup groaned but followed Bubbles to her dorm. Robin was with her journalist class, so it was just her and Bubbles. It took Bubbles three hours to finish dressing her. She had fixed her hair into a cute ponytail, did her makeup ever so lightly and even designed her some pretty green high waist camo baggy stretchy jeans and a cute black asymmetrical hem cropped shirt that showed off her flat lean stomach and belly button. Buttercup looked at herself in the mirror and she had to admit her sister did a good job. She actually looked good, hot even and comfortable at the same time.

"You made this for me?" Buttercup asked as she looked at herself.

Bubbles smiled, "Yes do you like it?"

Buttercup gave a nod, "Bubs, I love it thank you."

Bubbles beamed a huge smile and ran to hug Buttercup. They embraced for a solid minute before Buttercup's phone went off. She checked it and saw it was Butch. Buttercup gave Bubbles one more hug thanking her and then zoomed out to the parking lot where Butch and his brothers were waiting for her. She looked Butch over and saw he was wearing a pair of black baggy jeans along with a black Metallica shirt with a snake on it. His hair was slicked back, and his tattoos were on display. All in all, he was hot. Brick was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a red shirt with a middle finger on it. He was wearing his hair out and had his usual hat on. Boomer was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a black shirt with programming code on it. His hair was pulled back into a bun.

"Butter!" Boomer exclaimed.

Buttercup snorted, "Boomer."

Brick grinned, "Well now Miss Buttercup you sure you can handle this movie we're about to go see? I heard people have been vomiting and passing out."

"Oh please, I love horror movies."

Butch grabbed Buttercup and gave her a quick peck on the cheek. She blushed and pushed Butch away from her. Boomer and Brick laughed but quickly quieted when they saw Buttercup's eyes glowing. They decided to fly to the movies not wanting to drive all the way there in traffic. They made it in record time. The movie started at three-thirty, and they got there at exactly three. Butch ordered popcorn and drinks for him and Buttercup while Brick and Boomer got candy and popcorn along with slushies. Buttercup asked if they wanted to waste time in the arcade before the movie started. Brick and Butch were for it Boomer on the other hand excused himself. Buttercup followed Butch and Brick and asked what was wrong with Boomer. Brick and Butch went to a three-person shooting game Butch handed Buttercup her gun and smiled.

"Whoever wins owes the other hmm forty dollars."

Brick grinned and got into a shooting stance, "You're on."

Buttercup frowned a bit wondering if they needed to check on Boomer Bubbles would never leave without her or Blossom. She decided to leave it alone and not ask again; they were probably just going to ignore her again anyways. She turned to the two brothers and gave a wicked grin.

"Get ready to lose forty dollars."

They played three whole rounds each ending in a tie. Boomer came back twenty minutes later with his usual goofy grin. They decided to just leave it at a draw and to head into the movie. Butch and Buttercup sat next to each other while Brick sat next to Butch and Boomer sat next to Buttercup. The theater was packed by the time the movie started. An hour into the movie people were dry heaving leaving to throw up or passing out. Buttercup and Butch couldn't help but laugh at everyone's reactions. Brick was taking pictures of people leaving and fainting. He couldn't help but laugh. The movie wasn't even scary. Boomer was on his phone the whole time not necessarily caring about the movie; he had already seen it ahead of time with some of his buddies at work. It was funny to say the least half of his crew had to leave because of how grotesque it was. He just wanted to chill with his brothers and new 'sister'. Buttercup was enjoying herself with her boyfriend and his brothers. She didn't know the boys were actually pretty cool to hang around. It was around five when the group all stopped what they were doing. Buttercup's eyes widened as she heard Bubbles scream. She immediately got up with Brick and Butch surprisingly enough Boomer was already gone. Buttercup quickly flew over to where she heard Bubbles scream.

Bubbles was so happy when she saw Buttercup leaving for her date. She was so excited for her sister having a boyfriend. Bubbles looked at the time and left Robin a cute red dress out on her bed and then decided to go to the cafeteria to get lunch. Robin was with her group, and she didn't want to disturb her. Bubbles got a slice of cheese pizza and a juice and ate it in the corner by herself. She watched as friends met up with each other and chatted. She smiled to herself as she ate her pizza and finished up her drink. She cleaned up after herself and decided to go on a stroll on the trail at the school. There she saw squirrels and birds along with stray cats. She saw different animals and couldn't help but smile at the nature around her.

'Hi Bubbles, nice to see you.'

Bubbles looked at the squirrel that greeted her and smiled.

'Hi how are you?'

'Well, I'm happy now that I see you!'

'Aww well thank you Mr. Squirrel I'll bring you guys some nuts tomorrow alright?'

The squirrel cheered then ran away. Bubbles smiled and gilded around. She talked to a few more birds and squirrels and then made it to the lake. She was the only one at the lake, so she took her shoes off and started walking in the water. It was peaceful watching the fish swim past her feet. She was so relaxed and calm, not being around anyone and just having nature around her was always peaceful. While walking in the water Bubbles started to feel a chill up her spine. She looked around but saw nothing out of the ordinary. She decided to look down and noticed the fish were all swimming away. She walked a bit further and continued to look in the water. The eerie feeling was starting to creep up her whole body. Before she knew it the ground was starting to shake. Bubbles looked in fear as she saw a hideous giant scaly sea creature coming out of the water. It was as tall as a skyscraper and as bloated as a submarine. Teeth as sharp as a million shark teeth in one. She did the only plausible thing and screamed loudly thinking her sonic scream would do something to the sea creature. She saw the unsightly creature was unaffected. She watched as one of the monster's enormous arms flexed back and then with as much force as it could muster swung its hand down where Bubbles was. She closed her eyes and braced for impact, but it never came. She looked and saw Boomer holding the monster's fist in his hand. He looked at Bubbles with a silly smile.

"Hey Bubbles having fun without me?"

He flew and punched the monster square in its monster flew back landing on his back in the pond with a loud thump. Boomer went to check on Bubbles making sure she was okay. Not even ten seconds later the rest of the puffs and ruffs came. Blossom immediately started analyzing the monster and looked at the ruffs.

"You three stand back, we got this."

Butch and Brick went to interject but Buttercup just shook her head. Butch scowled and glared at Blossom. Boomer on the other hand floated and sat crossed leg wanting to see the girls fight up close.

"Buttercup Bubbles let's take this monster down."

Buttercup grinned and flew with Blossom towards the monster. Bubbles immediately followed behind. The monster saw them coming and roared, grabbing the girls easily and throwing them into the pound hard. Brick had to stop Butch from fighting; he knew he was pissed but he was going to let the puffs take care of it. He wanted to also see how they fought. Buttercup was the first to get off the ground. She glared and went to attack but Blossom stopped her.

"We need to think smart. I'm going to freeze it and you, and Bubbles come in after me and attack quickly." Blossom stated.

Buttercup nodded and followed behind Blossom Bubbles was right on their heels. Blossom used her ice breath to try and freeze the creature, but it was to no use it would not ice over. They could hear the sea monster chuckle as he spat out at the girls. They dodged the disgusting fluids easily and all punched the monster at the same time. He once again fell back with a thud. The girls cheered and went to walk away until they heard the monster getting back up. Buttercup was getting irritated now and she and Blossom went on the defensive again but unfortunately, they weren't expecting the goo the monster spat out at them and they got trapped. Blossom and Buttercup screamed in pain as the goo from the creature started to burn them. Bubbles eyes widened as she went to help her sisters completely ignoring the monster about to spit at her. Buttercup exerted her energy getting out of the sticky acidic goo. She needed to get to Bubbles before she got hurt. Butch grabbed her immediately before she could do anything. Boomer had already gotten Bubbles out of harm's way and Brick had gotten Blossom out as well. Butch looked Buttercup over and told her to evacuate the students and leave the fight to them. Buttercup was reluctant but she knew her sisters could do nothing. Brick told Blossom the same of course she argued.

"No, we're the heroes we have this handled."

Bubbles frowned, "Blossom let the boys prove to us they changed, we can do a lot of good evacuating the students."

Blossom huffed, "Fine don't make me regret this."

The girls flew off. Buttercup gave Butch one more longing look before evacuating the students. The boys stood side by side.

"From what I've gathered this creature has a heating element to it." Brick spoke.

"Fuck so you can't just burn the damn thing." Butch whined.

Boomer chuckled, "How about we try and punch through it?"

Butch grinned, "We could do that."

"I guess."

The boys charged the monster punching its core stomach. The boys all frowned; the creature was too thickly armored to punch though.

Butch sighed, "Boomer and I might have to do it. Brick, we need you to get back and help the girls evacuate alright."

Brick frowned, "Fuck that shit I'm not leaving you guys. We can find another way to defeat this creature. I'm not going to put you or Boomer in danger."

Boomer stretched and got a cigarette out of his pocket and lit it. He inhaled ever so slowly and exhaled ever so calmly and gave his brothers a look. "Brick we'll be fine I'm used to this, but you aren't if you aren't in a safe range you'll be dragged with us, and we don't want that do we?"

Butch sighed and pat Brick on the back, "We got this bro now go make sure everyone is within a safe distance."

Brick hesitated but went to help the girls. Butch looked at his brother who flicked his cigarette away. He nodded and Butch sighed heavily.

"Look if I feel like it's too much I'm stopping regardless of if that damn creature is dead or not." Butch stated.

Boomer laughed, "I'll be fine bro let's get this over with."

After the discussion the creature was getting back on his feet. Butch flew up hovering above Boomer. Boomer's eyes started glowing an electric blue and lighting started surrounding him. Butch took a deep breath and held his hands out. His eyes started glowing a dark smokey green and a giant green orb was forming around Boomer and the creature. The creature, not knowing what was happening, ran to attack Boomer. Boomer smirked and charged the creature. Brick started helping the girls evacuate telling them they needed to get a safe distance away.

"Where are your brothers?" Blossom asked.

Brick scowled, "They're handling it."

Blossom gasped, "We can't trust your brothers, they can't handle a creature like that."

Brick stopped paying her attention when he heard Butch and Boomer screaming in unison. He grabbed the girls quickly and flew away briskly. The last thing the girls saw was an explosion of green and blue lighting surrounding it before everything went black.
