"NARUTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
"SASUKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Pain, was all Sasuke Uchiha felt as a blinding light eclipsed his vision. How did he end up here? Well it was rather simple. After finding out that his own brother massacred his entire clan and being forced to watch his beloved older brother murder said clan over and over again as a young child sent him down a long and vengeful path accumulating with Sasuke "defeating" his older brother Itachi and ending his quest for vengeance right?
Oh how wrong he was. Sasuke ended up learning the truth about his brother, the truth on why Itachi did what he had to do. And how it was all Danzo Shimura's fault which led to Sasuke awakening his Mangekyo Sharingan and challenging all 5 of the Kage by appearing at the 5 Kage Summit that was held in the Land of Iron. He was admittedly a bit brazen in his challenge but who could blame him? He was 16 and fueled by a deep burning hatred to commit various war crimes.
Speaking of the war, after his successful attempt at the assassination of the so-called 6th Hokage Danzo, Sasuke lost his vision. His ocular prowess that his clan was esteemed for was all but gone. That was until he replaced his eyes with his beloved older brother Itachi's eyes and gained the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
With his new found power, Sasuke stormed to the battlefield after having a talk with the 4 previous Hokage in order to enact his new dream of becoming 'Hokage'. Granted this didn't go all too well with his one and only friend and spiritual brother Naruto but that was a fight for another day. After meeting his demise at the progenitor of his clan the legendary Madara Uchiha, Sasuke thought it was the end when his own blade pierced his own heart. However, instead of waking up in the afterlife with his family Sasuke was instead met with the legendary sage of six paths. The sage explained that he was Indra's reincarnation similarly to Madara and gifted him with great power and new dojutsu to boot.
With his new found power along with Naruto's own boost, they were able to take on any threat that stood in front of them. Whether it be Madara Uchiha the ten tails Jinchuriki or the Mother of Chakra herself Kaguya Otsutsuki. Once he and Naruto landed their palms on Kaguya at the same time and sealed her away, begrudgingly with the help of Kakashi and Sakura it was finally time to enact his decree.
He had to cut down Naruto, his brother in all but blood and the only one standing in his way of true peace. He would kill the 5 Kage and unite every Shinobi village against him to create a unified peace effort. He had seen it with the allied shinobi forces when they grouped together to take down Madara and Obito, and now they'll group up once more to try and take him down. But first he had to fight his one and only friend, which led him to his current thoughts right now.
The final clash between his Onyx Chidori and Naruto's Rasengan to indicate the end of their day-long battle resulted in this searing pain that he felt in his left arm.
"You've finally woken up, eh.." Sasuke slowly turned his head to the tired voice of his best friend and stifled back a groan. "As you can see, if we both move too much we'll bleed out and die.." Naruto voiced out with a light smile on his face.
Sasuke's eyes went down and widened by a centimeter as he saw that the both of them had lost their dominant arms as he found the strength to speak. "Why do you go that far? Why do all that just to get into my way?" The onyx-haired teen spoke out, questioning why his best friend did everything he possibly could to stop him. He was confused, confused on why his brother went this far for someone as broken as him. "I gained enough power to cut everyone off, and I did cut everyone off once I entered the darkness. Everyone except for you Naruto, you've never attempted to cut me off." He spoke out with an accusing like tone, as if blaming Naruto for all of his struggles. "No matter what I do, you always involve yourself in my business! Why, tell me why Naruto!"
"You know for someone who can't even move and slowly bleeding out to death you sure do talk a lot Sasuke." Naruto's voice rang out with a cheeky smile.
"Just answer me!" Sasuke yelled out, obviously irritated with his best friend for avoiding the topic of discussion.
"You already know don't you? It's because you're my friend.." Naruto stared at Sasuke's one open eye, the onyx orbs staring into Naruto's own azure eyes as Sasuke paused for a second before speaking once more.
"You've already said that before.. But what exactly does that mean? What does that mean to you Naruto?" Sasuke stared at the blonde, waiting for a proper answer to come from his rival.
"You're asking me to explain it but honestly it's not like I really understand it either.." Naruto began to speak as Sasuke could see his best friend start to think as he tried to word out what it meant to be a friend. "It's just that when I see you take on the world and burden yourself with everything..It kinda.. Hurts me."
Sasuke could feel his eye widened as he listened to his best friend speak. Surprised by what his friend was saying, or was he truly surprised? He always knew that the type of person Naruto was, the kind heart that resided in his soul. He saw it first hand when he convinced Obito Uchiha of all people to join his side of the war. And he was witnessing it now, the power that Naruto had with words.
"It hurts inside so much, I can't just leave it alone!" Naruto began once again before blinking as he closed his eyes and smiled at Sasuke. "Though right now, everything kinda hurts."
With something as corny as that, Sasuke held back an eyeroll as he stared at his best friend. Reminiscing about how they first met each other, how they were so similar in their loneliness but yet so different at the same time. How Naruto gravitated to others and he isolated himself, and with these thoughts swirling in his head Sasuke decided to get some rest as the two strongest shinobi of all time fell asleep.
By the time Sasuke opened his eyes again, the sun was starting to rise indicating that the two had slept throughout the night causing him to laugh a bit. He heard the sound of grunting as he his eye flicked over to Naruto who himself was starting to wake up.
"Where the hell are we? This isint Heaven is it..?"
"Looks like we fell asleep and slept throughout the night. Looks like death won't take us just yet." Sasuke spoke softly as he looked at his friend who was struggling to move his own body.
"D-damnit! I still can't move my body!" Naruto half yelled half complained as the blonde had his teeth gritting in frustration. "I was gonna try and get up so I can keep on clobbering you until I finally make you open your eyes!" Naruto would've kept on shouting and complaining if he wasn't cut off by what might've been the rarest sound in the entire world.
"Hehehe..Heheh.." It was laughter, and not just that but laughter coming from one Sasuke Uchiha, the last uchiha. Somethat just didn't happen, and extremely rare. His snickering then exploded into an actual true laughter. "Hahahaahahaha.."
"Oi, what- Whats so funny?!"
"We're this beat up and missing a limb yet you still want to fight?"
"Of course! No matter how many times it'll take-"
"I'll admit it. That I've Lost."
There it was, Sasuke had come to some sort of understanding with himself. That his way, his way of harboring the hatred of the world was wrong. He lost in the clash of ideals, something that would've previously infuriated him not even 24 hours ago and yet here he was with a smile on his fact at the rising Sun. Everything felt perfect, everything felt just right. However, this was where everything changed as Sasuke would suddenly begin coughing up blood. "G-gah" He spluttered out weakly as his body was reaching its limit. After fighting Madara, Kaguya, and now Naruto without any rest there was just no more fight in the young Uchiha's body. He wasn't gifted with endless chakra pools and an immense vitality like Naruto as he shuddered.
"S-sasuke are you alright?! Talk to me Sasuke!" His best friend worried over him as Sasuke would turn to him after wiping some blood with his one arm left.
"Naruto.. We need to end the Infinite Tsukuyomi now, before I'm dead." He spoke out as he would slowly try to get up, ignoring his body screaming at him to stop. This pain was nothing like the pain he inflicted upon others, the pain that he had planned to inflict in the future.
"W-wait Sasuke! Sakura is coming soon, I-I'm sure she can patch us both up! Just hang in the-"
"Theres no time Naruto!" It took every ounce of strength he had to shout at his best friend, Sasuke glaring at him with the 3 tomoe Sharingan that had awakened sub-consciously due to Sasuke's anger. "I don't care if I'm about to die, I've done enough harm to enough people to not worry about something as trivial as death. I need to repent for my sins and this is the first step in that so.." He paused for a second as if gathering the strength to speak next. "Please. Please listen to me just this once, Naruto, it'll take the chakra of Ashura and Indra to save the world from the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Sasuke could see the tears gathering up in Naruto's eyes as he slowly rose up to his feet.
"Y-you just had to sacrifice yourself like Itachi huh you bastard? Wanting to steal the spotlight and all the attention? Damn you.." Naruto joked, likely trying to cope and come to terms with the passing of his best friend as he would form as they stood right next to each other. Their hands forming a hand sign as the two of them would use their chakra to free everyone from the Infinite Tsukuyomi to set the world on a bright path. "Naruto.. You'll be the one that will set everyone on the path to peace, the figurehead that'll serve as the greatest Hokage ever. The Hokage that united all 5 villages together. Promise me you'll stay true to yourself Naruto, promise me you'll become that Hokage." Sasuke spoke softly as he could feel the chakra signatures of Kakashi and Sakura coming towards the Final Valley, unaware of the stat of Sasuke and his final words to his best friend.
"Sasuke.."
"Promise me Naruto."
"I-I'll promise you Sasuke. I promise I'll become the best Hokage you've ever seen! And I won't let anyone tarnish you or Itachi's name from here on out, dattebayo!"
Sasuke could see the tears welling up in his best friends eyes as a gracious smile appeared on his own face. Tears starting to well up, not out of sadness or fear of death but out of joy. He was glad that the world was in safe hands, hands like Naruto's as he let go of Naruto's hands, dropping down to the floor and staring at the bright sky. His eyes closed for the last time as he ignored Naruto's shouting, or the incoming footsteps of Kakashi. 'Itachi, Mother, Father.. I'll be seeing you soon.' And with that, the last Uchiha and the 2nd strongest shinobi of his era passed away with a peaceful smile on his face.
_
Sasuke's eyes snapped open as he sat up breathing heavily looking around. Where was he? He wasn't in the final valley anymore, and he felt fine? His chakra was replenished and he still had his left arm for the time being. But, he was in a dark void with nothing around him. "Am I dead?" He spoke to himself before a sudden but yet familiar chakra presence surprised the ravenette as he turned around to be met face to face one more with the legendary Sage of Six Paths.
"You are not young Sasuke." The old wise voice of the legendary sage spoke as Sasuke stared into the Sage's two Rinnegan, his very own coming as a result from a gift of the Sage. "You are here in the realm known as limbo, the stage between life and death."
"Limbo? Why am I in limbo and not in the afterlife, I assume you didn't pull me here just to reprimand me for fighting with Naruto are you?" He asked, being quite passive aggressive. He had expected to pass onto the afterlife, not waking up in some random stage between life and death for no reason.
"Of course not Sasuke. The reason why you're here is because your soul brought you here to meet with me for one last time." The old sage spoke simply waiting for the Uchiha to respond or more like already knowing what he was going to say.
"My soul brought me here?! What the hell are you talking about? I just wanted to pass along to the after-life and meet my family again. Why the hell would I want to meet with you again when I just want to rest?" He snarled, his eyes flashing a bright red and ominous purple as he glared at the sage. He knew that his anger was misguided but he didn't care at the moment. He was just tired of everything right now.
"It's rather simple young Sasuke. Think about what you said to Naruto before ending Madara Uchiha's Infinite Tsukuyomi. If you think about it for a few seconds you'll realize why a part of you does not want to move onto the afterlife."
"I don't know what you're talking about old man, all I said was-" Then it clicked in his head at once. 'This was the first step in repenting for my sins' Of course. That was it, he looked up with a bewildered expression. "So the reason why I'm here talking with you and not my Mother or Brother is because a part of me wants to repent for my sins? That I don't deserve to rest just yet?" He voiced out his inner thoughts, a storm brewing up inside of his mind. Did he truly feel that way? Like he wanted another chance. "But even if I did want to go back. I doubt I can, the crimes I committed and the fact that I'm dead currently are preventing me from wanting to go back to my old life. So why exactly am I here?" He stared at the Sage of Six Paths waiting for an answer.
"Who said you were going back to your life? Hm?"
'Huh' One of Sasuke's eyebrows shot up in a confused manner as he looked at the Father of Ninshu. "What are you talking about?"
"I'm sure you remember quite vividly your battle with your Mother, and how she opened portals to various dimensions right with her visual prowess. Something that I don't doubt you'll be able to do soon enough with mastery over your Rinnegan."
Sasuke nodded as he waited for the old man to continue.
"Well you see Sasuke, my Mother's manipulation of space time ninjutsu didn't create those various dimensions like you may have believed but rather merely opened gateways to pre-existing dimensions. I found that in one of these dimensions, there is life and an abundant amount of it. With beings just as strong if not stronger than you and I, and energy sources that are far different then chakra but similar at the same time. It's an entirely different world Sasuke, one that needs your help.
Sasuke was shocked at this revelation and for once was speechless as he tried to think of the words that came from the Sage's mouth. A new world? One with beings that could match his power and even exceed it? A world with no recollection of the Uchiha, one that didn't have to fear him and whisper behind his back. A world that didn't have the blood stained legacy that he and his family left behind. It was almost too good to be true, and it was.
"What's the catch then? You wouldn't mention this to me without some sort of plan."
"There is indeed a.. Catch as you may put it young Sasuke. I've been watching over this world for quite some time to help satiate the boredom I acquired over the years waiting for you and Naruto to reach me so that I could give you my powers. This world, while unlike our own, is still plagued with violence and bloodshed." The Sage could see Sasuke eyes narrow as the reincarnation of Indra frowned. "And forces are gathering in the shadows Sasuke, forces that could lead to this world's destruction and admittedly I've begun to grow.. Attached to this world and would hate to see it undergo a catastrophe."
"And so you want me to go into this brand new world and just fix it? Spread peace? Teach others Ninshu?" Sasuke asked sarcastically with narrowed eyes. What was this old man getting at? Could he really just transport him to this world?
"Of course not Sasuke, I don't need you trying to go out and act like my servant. In fact it's quite nearly the opposite. You will be free to do as you wish, because I know that you want to repent for your sins Sasuke. It's the reason why your soul didn't want to fully pass away because you want to do some good in the world, and I'm merely offering you the opportunity to do so. You can always decline and meet with your brother in the afterlife."
Sasuke frowned as he was faced with a decision. He missed his family drastically, having been far too many years without them in his life as they were cruelly taken away from him at such a young age but at the same time.. How could he just let himself be happy? With all of the people he murdered, all the people he hurt. It wasn't fair for him to go into the afterlife and be happy. Not with the suffering that his eyes and hands had committed. His decision was made up within a few seconds as a new found goal was found. He needed to repent for his sins and that involved helping others. "I'll do it. I'll travel to this new world and do what needs to be done to set it on the right path. If Naruto can do it with our world then I can do it with this one." He smirked, even while dead his rivalry with his soul brother burned just as bright.
Hagoromo noticeably perked up, as if extremely happy with the choice Sasuke made as a gentle smile came across the old man's face. "I'm very glad to hear that but there are caveats to this. I've long been preparing for an opportunity like this but in my preparation I've come across some limitations in what I can do." The old man spoke with a solemn look on his face as he looked at Sasuke.
"I'll be unable to transport you to this world at your full strength with how you are right now. You'll awaken in this new world at the strength that you had right before you left your village in search of training and you'll be the same age as well. Your memories will be in tact and you'll be able to keep your Rinnegan, it'll just be that you'll likely be unable to use it until you get older and are able to handle its power."
Sasuke eyebrows burrowed in thought. He was going back to when he was just 12 years old? When he could barely do a few chidoris a day. At least he is keeping the skill and memory he had of his current state but he couldn't help but be annoyed with the Sage. All of the hours of work and sweat he put into his craft was going to be reset. "Thats.. Fine." He grit his teeth a bit, the sage being able to read through Sasuke's anger as he would smile softly.
"I see Indra in you more and more.." He mumbled softly before shaking his head. "Don't worry young Sasuke. You may be losing your body and skill, but you'll be gaining something as well to help cope for the fact you'll have to retrain your body." The sage would hold up a large white orb glowing orb that nearly blinded Sasuke. Once Sasuke got adjusted to the bright light, he'd be able to spot a sleeping Dragon of some sorts inside of it. "This is the soul of Albion. An extremely powerful Dragon from the dimension you'll be traveling towards. Similarly to Naruto's relationship with Kurama, he will be sealed inside of you and you'll be able to access his power through something called a Sacred Gear."
Sasuke looked at the orb, his Rinnegan and Sharingan, studying it intently as he could feel the power coming from the orb as he couldn't help but scoff a bit. "Are the powers that I got gifted from you not enough for this world? Are there beings that much stronger than me?" He asked, and while Sasuke knew he wasn't immortal, he was certain of his own strength.
"You're strong, incredibly so Sasuke and I have no doubt you'll be able to reach and surpass me in strength with due time but.." The Sage frowned. "The beings that you'll come across in this world can fight toe to toe with my Mother, and even a few of them would outclass her and destroy her with relative ease." The Sage spoke grimly as he stared into Sasuke.
Multiple beings on par and some far stronger than Kaguya? He couldn't help but feel a bit overwhelmed as he looked at the orb that was being carried by the sage of six paths. "So I'll be needing this so-called Sacred Gear then along with my full powers to compete with some of the beings in this dimension?"
The Sage nodded. "That's correct Sasuke. With the power of your visual prowess and jutsus along with the full potential of Albion by your side, you'll almost have nothing to fear once you fully realize your powers. But even now, you haven't uncovered everything that your left eye can do right?"
Sasuke nodded. It was true, even throughout the fight with Madara, Kaguya, and even Naruto Sasuke could feel his eye growing stronger. His abilities with the Rinnegan were vastly lacking to some of the stuff that he watched Madara could do, and he needed time to train and get used with this eye first. "How did you even acquire that soul? You couldn't have possibly traveled to their world right?"
Hagoromo didn't say anything initially as Sasuke could feel a bead of sweat dripping down his brow. "That is a trade secret, young Sasuke."
Sasuke couldn't help but throw his head back and groan a bit as he put his hand on his forehead. "You know what? I'm not even going to question you. You're the legendary Sage of Six Paths, you created the tailed beast. I don't doubt this is within your realm of powers." He grumbled with a sigh as Hagoromo smiled.
"You're learning fast, Sasuke. But the time for chit chat is coming to an chakra is running low and I'll be using the last portion of my chakra. I'm recreating your body and instilling your soul and Albion's soul into your new body. When you wake up, you'll remember everything that we talked about and even a bit of knowledge of the world and its history. From there on out, I won't be able to help you any longer but I have faith in you Sasuke. With Albion at your side, you'll be able to help unite this world against the dark forces that are forming in the background. Be wary, Sasuke and don't trust everyone you meet and especially a young man with a powerful spear." The sage finally stopped as he looked at Sasuke.
"Are you ready Sasuke?"
"As ready as I'll ever be."
"Good luck, and thank you Sasuke for breaking the cycle of hatred between Indra and Ashura."
"Hn." Sasuke did his signature grunt, smiling a bit at the sage as he could barely hear the sage mutter something before a jutsu was casted and everything went white. With his final thoughts on this realm of existence, his thoughts went back to his family. 'Mother.., Father..Itachi… I'm sorry that I won't be seeing you just yet but I can't face you all, not yet at least. There are millions of people that need my help, and maybe if I can help them I'll be able to repent my sins and rest at ease. You'll have to wait for me a little bit longer.'

"Oh my, those breasts are looking mighty fine." Azazel, governor of the Grigori had a mixture of black and gold hair wearing a rather lavish black suit and was currently perving out on some ladies similarly to a White Haired Toad Sage back in another dimension. Suddenly the night sky glowed up brightly as a flash of White appeared in a nearby forest and the sound of a meteor or something similar to that impacting the forest illuminated the tree line a few miles away from Azazel's current position.
BOOM! The entire town shuddered as the meteor had crashed into the nearby forest and shook up the entire town. People were starting to wake up from their slumbers, some of them yelling in the streets about the end of the world as Azazel couldn't help but also be curious about the source of the explosion.
"What was that?" His senses were telling him to fly over straight away to check out the source of the light and crashing noise that startled the ladies he was currently looking at but.. "Whatever.. I'm sure it'll be fine. After all, what matters more than a nice pair of breasts?" He couldn't help but giggle a bit pervertedly as he was lost in his own lust once more.
Pain, that was all Sasuke could feel at the current moment as he was lost in his own consciousness. That damn Sage didn't tell him he would be crash landing in some random forest entering from the atmosphere?! Sasuke couldn't even get up at the moment as he heard some footsteps making their way over to him and some faint voices as he was on the verge of losing consciousness.
"Shuri, hold up! It could be dangerous, you know!"
"Oh stop it Baraqiel Dear. I have you right next to me and you'll protect me from anything right?"
"I mean yeah but still-!"
"Oh my it's just a poor boy.. He looks like Akeno's age doesn't he?"
"Don't touch him Shuri! He could be dangerous!"
"Just shut up Baraqiel and help me take him back to the Himejima shrine. It's not even 10 minutes away." The woman barked at her husband as Sasuke couldn't help but internally laugh a bit at himself. It seemed like this Shuri lady was taking him to some shrine? He would try and say something to the woman but he just felt so… tired.. And with that, he drifted off into a deep sleep in the arms of some lady from a different dimension.
