Chapter 1
The Brides to Be
Human Realm
Noceda Residence
It had been an exhausting day for Camila as she came back home. Considering what she just did it was understandable. She knew Luz was waiting for her. As she opens the door she sees the picture of herself, her husband Manuel or Manny to his friends and precious little light Luz.
So many memories they made, now their reminders of what she had lost and what she would never get.
What Manny would never get.
"Dios we have lost so much, but we gained so much… was it worth it though." Camila said.
"Mama! Are you back?" Luz said.
"Yes I'm Mija." Camila said as she takes off her cloak, shield and sword.
She looks at the pictures for a bit before going to Luz.
Luz hugged her mother and Camila did the same. Soon however they let go as Camila speaks.
"Luz I know you're nervous about the marriage with the three girls." Camila said.
"I know mama I also know you did it to end the war. I'm willing to do it." Luz said.
Camila smiled as she cried a bit.
"Gracias Mija. I know it was hard since losing your Papi." Camila said as she placed her hand on Luz's shoulder.
"Gracias Mami." Luz said wiping a stray tear in her eye.
"Oh right King came baring gifts for us." Camila said as she gave her the bigger box.
"Oh cool I wonder what's in it." Luz said as she opened the box.
She looked at the gifts and gave a smile.
"Oh a cool necklace, a piece of purple wood in the shape of an egg and… a Berserk-style Manga based on you mama?!" Luz said as she picks up the Noceda Manga and reads it.
Camila blushed a bit.
As she looks at the Manga and was impressed.
"Wow to think this was made by an 8-year old kid." Luz said.
"Kingsly has a lot of talents. Artist, Writer, Teacher, Comedian, and now Imperator when he's old enough." Camila said.
Luz giggled a little as she remembers what Kingsly looks like.
"Thanks Mama I needed that. Who knows maybe the three of them are nervous as I am." Luz said.
"You're probably right Mija." Camila said.
Luz then remembers something.
"Oh right how did the adoption process go?" Luz said.
At this Camila smiled brightly.
"Its official you are an older sister Luz. Victoria and Hunter will be happy to get to know you." Camila said.
"I'll be the best big sis in the world." Luz said with a smile.
Camila then looked at Luz and began to speak.
"Luz I know that you are unique and special y como un idiota I tried to change who you are and well you know how angry Manny was." Camila said.
Luz did remember. Her papi was mad no mad was understatement but not at her but at mama and the school district so papa sued the school and won.
Turns out the camp they wanted to send her had conversion therapy.
Papa made mama sleep in the couch.
"I know mama. Dad let you back in bed once your back started hurting." Luz said as Camila unconsciously rubbed her back.
"Yeah I know. Your dad also forced us to go to therapy where you told me what was wrong." Camila said.
"I know I just… I just wanted to be understood. It was all I ever wanted." Luz said.
"I know Mija I know." Camila said as the wooden egg started to glow and crack.
Both Noceda women were startled as the egg broke.
What hatched is a snake-like creature with small, pointed ears with dark pink insides (reminiscent of the ones on Luz's hoodie), fur-like tufts on either side of her neck, small fangs, a dark purple forked tongue, and a lime green spherical appendage on the end of her tail. She has protruding eyes with dark purple irises and lime sclera, her upper back and body are aubergine in color, with a purple stripe running from the back middle of her head and ending in a point near the end of her tail. She has two more purple stripes separating her upper and lower body colors, running from her lower cheeks to the ball on her tail, and her lower body and underbelly are lavender. Her nose and upper snout are white and form into a heart shape on her forehead.
"Ay dios que linda." Luz said as she pet the magic snake.
Camila recognized it as a Palisman an item that empowered Witches, Demons and Dryads.
"A Palisman of course Eda would send one." Camila said.
"What's a Palisman?" Luz asked.
"Oh right you don't know about them. A Palisman is a sentient magical totem that sits at the top of a magic staff. They are usually made in the shape of an animal of some kind. A Palisman contains a magical essence and harbors various magical properties, including the ability to switch between wooden and living forms at will." Camila said.
"Anything else Mama?" Luz asked.
"Well Palismen can bond to Witches, Demons, Dryads and now apparently Humans as a loyal companion, a powerful tool for channeling and amplifying their user's magic, and a method of flying transportation when in their wooden staff form. A Palisman has magic essence of its own that its bonded partner can utilize. No Flying until you're 18 Jovencita." Camila said as Luz snapped her fingers.
"Hey Stringbean can you turn into your staff form." Luz said.
Stringbean nods as she did so.
Stringbean in her staff form, the side of the ball on her tail attaches to the staff, which is dark blue in color, and she wraps her lower body around the ball. Her ears also lie back, and her eyes smile.
Luz gushed on how cute Stringbean was.
Camila wondered why Luz called her Palisman Stringbean.
This ended when Luz fired a magic blast on their roof making a hole.
"Well apparently they also allow an individual with no innate magical ability, such as humans, to use magic." Camila said as she gave Luz a flat look.
"Opps sorry mama… I'm grounded aren't I." Luz said as Stringbean transformed into a beanie.
"Si lo estas Mija. But that can start tomorrow." Camila said.
Soon the Noceda household was filled with laughter with the new member Stringbean.
Demon Realm
Castle Triplicae
The Demon Realm a place filled with fire and stone. The Great Forges once always alight. Are now silent and dark. Military grounds that once housed hundreds of thousands of soldiers. Now there were barely enough to keep the place clean. The ports once held armadas of ships. Now there is barely enough for a single fleet.
Demon Realm once a hub of Military and industrial might is now reduced to a shadow of its former self.
That said it didn't meant that they would be idle. The Smiths would learn new techniques, the shipwrights would learn about new designs and the solders though they would be fewer in numbers would get stronger.
But there was one thing they would agree on. They didn't want another war. If Camila's words were true then she knew that America was holding back its most dangerous weapon.
Standing from the balcony from her castle. She looked at her people and as Dictator she will make it right and make her people shine brighter.
"None of that Esmeralda. Remember what needs to be done." Esmeralda said to herself.
Knowing what was needed she decided to check on her daughter Boscha.
A few minutes later
Esmeralda was soon she was in front of her daughter's room and from the smell she know was experimenting with potions. She opens the door. To reveal her daughter Boscha.
Boscha has a slender figure with light skin, grayish-blue eyes, and mid-back length red-violet hair tied back in a bun. She has pointy ears. She also has an extra third eye on her forehead. She is wearing a blue-gray cape with an orange collar, spiked right shoulder pauldron and medal hanging off of it, a gray shirt under the chest armor, black and light gray shorts, torn tights and a kneepad on her right knee and spiked boots. She also wears black gloves with sports tape on her left wrist and a crab-clawed headband.
"Boscha. We need to talk." Esmeralda said.
Boscha thankfully had finished the potion she was making.
"Of course Mother I was just finishing a strength potion for the reconstruction efforts." Boscha said.
Esmeralda walked towards the potion and smiles upon seeing the bright orange color.
"Good. This will do quite fine Boscha." Esmeralda said with a smile.
"Thank you Madre Sovrana." Boscha said as she kneels.
Esmeralda sees the headband
"Ah Maya can you please remove yourself from my daughter's head." Esmeralda said.
Soon the head turned into a Palisman.
Maya is the Palisman of Boscha. She resembles a red crab with yellow spikes on the top segment of her shell. The top part of her claws is light orange while the bottom is the same color as her shell. Her left claw has a visible crack. Her eyes are located on her claws, with her eyes always being closed, showing dark brown eyelids with two diagonal white spike patterns on each eye.
Maya snapped her pincers and bowed.
"Now my Coraggiosa fanciulla guerriera. As you know you are to be wed to Luz Noceda. Daughter of Camila the Torrent." Esmeralda said.
"I know Madre I will make sure to make her happy by the time she comes of age." Boscha said.
Esmeralda looked at her daughter with a smile.
"Good. This also extended to the others." Esmeralda said.
"Of course. Gräuel Prinzessin Blight and Se Jamaeui Beodeunamu (Willow of the Three Sisters) I might get to know them well." Boscha said with a slight lustful look.
A look that Esmeralda caught.
"Daughter do not let your lust blind you." Esmeralda said.
Boscha was just a young demon on the cusp of adulthood and like all young demons she can be overtaken with lust since all Demons are hermaphrodites. They were born with both genitals.
"I'm sorry Madre." Boscha said.
Esmeralda eyes soften and hugs Boscha.
"Oh don't worry little one everyone get lustful once in a while. Myself included." Esmeralda said.
Boscha laughed and soon mother and daughter began laughing and even Maya snapped her pincers in joy.
"Thanks Madre I needed that. I will make to control myself mother though I make no promises that you and Camila won't get an early grandchild." Boscha said.
"Fair enough little one." Esmeralda said as she shrugged knowing that would be the case.
Soon the both of them left the room to go eat.
Dryad Realm
Park Tribal Lands
The Dryad Realm was a land of endless nature, small villages and at the center of the realm was the first tree. The very First Tree planted by Enzo himself and where the first Dryads were born.
Far from the First Tree was lands of the Park Tribe. It was a small tribe of farmers and once slaves to the Snapdragon Tribe. Now freed by the Humans and Camila the Blighted One.
The Chieftain of the Park tribe Harvey Park along with his husband Gilbert returned from the Human Realm and signing the treaty. Their daughter Willow knew the price she needed to pay and she was willing to pay.
Soon they saw their daughter Willow.
Willow is a shorter-than-average, plus-sized, stocky fair-skinned girl who has pointed ears, olive-green eyes and short, neat navy-blue hair with a few loose strands she also had two horns atop her head. She wears a long-sleeved yellowish-tan dress that has a blue tie with an oval chartreuse gem on it, light and dark gray striped leggings, and brown boots. Along with gloves and a pair a glasses.
They saw her practicing a human farming technique known as the 3 Sisters. From a tribe called the Haudenosaunee. Willow learned this technique from a human prisoner. She learned as Snapdragon took their food.
As he taught her the technique the Park tribe starved. Soon Willow's efforts bore fruit she used Longclaw Stalks as a trellis, twisting Selden Beans shielded the Longclaw Stalk and The Low laying Camadara Squash kept the soil moist and protected the elder sisters from plant eaters. Like the three sisters of the human realm the united plants of the Dryad Realm helped the tribe be filled with food they also took a liking to the human plants. It was because of this she earned Snapdragon's ire and her title of Se Jamaeui Beodeunamu or in the human realm language known in English as Willow of the Three Sisters.
Willow noticed her father's coming and smiled.
"Father, Papa you returned!" Willow said as she rushed over to their sides and hugging them.
"Oh my little tree we have returned." Harvey said as he hugged Willow.
"How was the Human Realm Father, Dad?" Willow asked.
"It was ok Camila the Blighted One was kinder in person. Little Tree." Gilbert said.
Behind Willow a buzzing was heard. Willow knew the sound of her Palisman Clover.
"Oh Clover you're here." Willow said.
Clover has the appearance of a large bee with a golden-yellow body, pale yellow fur around the neck, and a wide brown stripe around the abdomen. She has translucent blue wings, black eyes with yellow sclera, a gray beak-like nose, and a pale-yellow stinger.
"Hello Clover." Harvey said.
"Oh you silly little bee." Willow said as she petted clover.
Clover then transformed into her staff which is a light brown color.
"We should start packing." Gilbert said.
"Of course papa I've already started packing." Willow said.
"Good Willow. We just need to see the Shaman." Harvey said.
"You're right we need to get her blessing." Willow said.
Then we must be off. Gilbert said as they left for the Shaman's hut.
Shaman's Hut
The Park's soon arrived at the Shaman's Hut. The interior of the Hut was filled with various charms and trinkets. Potions and magic herbs. A fire as the center of the hut.
The Shaman herself was wearing her robes and her flower crown with her horns at either side. Her Palisman an Earth Realm animal. A Bear was in it's staff form.
Her eyes were old but had a spark of wisdom.
"Yasaeng-ui isadolaga se jamaeui beodeunamuleul hwan-yeonghabnida. (Isadora of the Wilds welcomes Willow of the Three Sisters)." The now named Isadora said as she bows.
"Se jamaeui beodeunamuneun yasaeng-ui isadolaleul hwan-yeonghabnida. (Willow of the Three Sisters accepts this welcome Isadora of the Wilds)." Willow said as she bows as well.
"Now then I know what you came for. My blessing for your impending marriage. To Luz Noceda, The Lightbringer, The Icemaker, The Planttamer and The Firekeeper." Isadora said.
Willow knew of her future bride's titles each title represented the four symbols or Glyphs as Luz called them. From what they had heard from Camila Luz found them in her dreams. The dreams all had one thing in common they were all given by a creature with black fur, colossal wings, a giant staff and a horned skull on their head.
Luz did not know the creature but Willow and the others did know that the creature was a Titan.
Though they didn't mention it to the girl. But her mother knew. Along with Camila's enemies.
Camila carved the Light Glyph on the Steelbark shield as she used it to guide her fellow soldiers through the darkness. On her boots laid the Ice Glyphs where a single stomp she formed glaciers, her gloves had the Plant Glyph to which she used to cross perilous gaps and finally her sword had the Fire Glyph on it to slew her foes it was the same sword the slew and burned Snapdragon.
She wonders about Luz Noceda how is she compared to her mother Camila Noceda.
Soon Isadora spoke once more.
"Now then Willow Park prepare for your journey for you have my Blessing." Isadora said as she tapped her staff on the floor.
The heads of the Park Tribe nodded as the left for their home. Preparing for Willow's Journey.
Witch Realm
Blight-Deamonne Manor
It was the middle of winter in the Witch Realm. Despite this however the industry of the Witch was still going strong since the Witch Realm had a mixed economy. They and the Dryad Realm were lucky unlike the Demon Realm whose economy was entirely on the Military which crippled them. Within the New Blight-Deamonne Manor the heads of the Blight-Deamonne resided along with their daughter Amity Blight.
Darius is a tall, muscular man with dark brown skin, bright green eyes, and abomination-like hair. He has an amorphous hair bun with an abomination's eye, and similarly amorphous sideburns and a goatee. He also has an abomination sigil on his right arm.
He wears a black chest plate with a gold collar, purple studs and pointed shoulders, light purple pants, white mid-length gloves, and white-heeled boots with violet toes. He also wears a magenta side cape with
Alador is a pale-skinned witch with a disheveled look. He has unkempt hair with sideburns, hairy arms, and stubble. He has golden eyes and brown hair, like his younger daughter, Amity. Violet details at the edges on the left side of his body.
He is dressed in a dark gray lab coat covered in purple stains from abomination projects, along with gray pants with black boots which are also covered in purple stains. He also wears golden goggles with purple lenses on his head.
Amity is a thin, pale-skinned witch with bright golden eyes and pointed ears. Her hair is chin-length, with a ponytail pulling the front hair out of her face, and a mostly covered undercut visible at the temples. Her hair is also a two-toned, dyed aquamarine-green with brown hair, her natural hair color, visible at the roots.
She is dressed in a black mid-sleeved dress with a gray belt fastened around her waist, orchid tights and black heeled boots with golden crescent moon buckles. Around her neck, she wears a circular gold necklace inset with a round purple gem.
She was seated on a chair with a scowl on her face.
"Dad, Papa I do not mind that you two physically express your love. But could you not have done it in my old room!" Amity shouted.
Both men blushed as she shouted at them.
As she did that Amity heard a meow behind her.
Amity turned to see her Palisman Ghost.
Ghost's appearance is that of a human realm animal a short-haired cat. She has white fur, periwinkle eyes, a light pink nose and paw pads.
She jumped on Amity's lap as she gestured Amity to pet her to which she did.
"Ah Ghost thank you. I'm sorry Dad, Papa." Amity said.
"It's alright Amity I will admit the hack and I were… Overzealous in our love." Darius said.
"Yes I'm sorry Mittens." Alador said.
"I'm just nervous you two we're supposed to meet the humans and the other races as by the order of the Titan Kingsly Clawthorne." Amity said.
Both Adults knew that they had messed up. Lilith Clawthorne had told them as much and to use a Human saying Tore them a new Asshole. Thankfully Camila wasn't insulted by this and from what they heard they became fast friends along with Eda and Eda's Partner Raine.
"We know Mittens I just hope you can become a friends with Luz and the others." Alador said.
"I will try Dad." Amity said.
Alador smiled.
"Just make sure to honor the Blight-Deamonne family and the new Noceda-Blight line." Darius said.
"Noceda-Blight? Wouldn't it be Blight-Noceda?" Amity asked.
"Normally yes but it didn't sound right so we switched it and it sounded better." Darius said.
Amity nodded as she spoke the new surname in her mind and noticed that it just sounded right.
"I understand Papa I will do so. Ghost we must pack." Amity said.
"Amity just before you do so can you tell your siblings to come here." Alador said.
Amity nodded.
"Alright then let's go Ghost." Amity said as Ghost turns into her staff form.
In staff form, Ghost's eyes close and she sits with her feet close together and her tail wrapped around her staff, which is light purple in color. Her paws, positioned close together, form into a convex wooden shape at the base of her body in order to properly connect onto her staff.
Amity got dressed in a coat, earmuffs and mittens.
Soon she opened the window to her balcony and flew on her staff to her destination Emira and Edric's home or the old Blight Manor.
She soon sees her old home. Before Camila conquered the Witch Realm her Egg Donor, Odalia Delphon tried to harm her but a Human solder stopped her. At first they thought they would kill her. But then he just knocked her out and cuffed her.
Last she heard she was still in prison. But she didn't care as she see her siblings. Emira and Edric Blight-Deamonne.
As they are twins, Emira has a similar appearance to that of her brother, Edric. She has pale skin, pointed ears, golden eyes, thick black eyebrows, Her face shape is also rounded off to a point. Emira has her dark green hair down and unkempt along with spots of acne on her face.
She wears a long-sleeved dark gray shirt under a burgundy tunic a belt around the waist, gray shorts with burgundy cuffs, and some black shoes.
Edric has a similar appearance to that of his sister, Emira, as they are twins. He has pale skin, pointed ears, golden eyes, thick black eyebrows, short, emerald-green hair which is pulled-back and what looks like the thin beginnings of a mustache.
He wears a dark gray long-sleeved tunic tucked in his gray pants, a sleeveless burgundy shirt with a belt around the waist, and gray boots with burgundy cuffs. He also wears a set of black-rimmed glasses and a black headband.
"Ah Mittens you're here dad told us you'd come." Emira said.
"Yeah dad and papa wanted you at the new manor." Amity said.
"Well then we should get going." Edric said.
Emira saw a nervous look on Amity.
"So nervous about the impending wedding Mittens?" Emira said.
"Yeah I am I was given Luz's file but reading about her and actually meeting her are vastly different things." Amity said.
"I know baby sis but hey you're going to the human realm. New sights, new foods, a new life." Edric started.
"And several new girls for your bed." Emira said with a smirk.
Amity became as red as a ripe Goreberry.
"Damnit Emira!" A shouting Amity said.
Emira and Edric laughed at their sister and soon Amity joined in.
Soon they came back to the new manor and any nervousness Amity had were now gone.
She is ready for the Human Realm. She was ready for Luz Noceda.
Human Realm
Noceda Residence
Luz sneezed as she was doing her homework. Stringbean flew to her side.
"I'm alright you little Power Noddle. Someone must be talking about me. Maybe my wives to be?" Luz asked.
Stringbean gave something of a shrug.
"You're right Stringbean. Lista o no me voy a casarme." Luz said.
