Whelp, it's official: life hates me! Ralph woke up covered in sand. She got up from the ground and could vaguely see smoke from the sea. Walking closer to the shore, she could see her suitcase floating in the sea. "Oh, no!" Running over, she snatched it out of the water. Walking over to the shade under a tree, she sat on a broken tree trunk. She opened her suitcase to her relief: only a few T-shirts were soaked. Surprisingly, her journal didn't get soaked, although some pages were covered in ink drops from her pen and some pages flowed out, but at this point she was just happy that she found her suitcase.
Ralph decided to hide the suitcase in case there were any survivors. She should look for the pilot. She said to herself and walked into the forest.
It felt like hours. Ralph was sweating heavily. Her feet started to ache from all the walking. Sure She had to walk up a mountain every day to get home every day so you would think this would be a piece of cake for her,but this was getting ridiculous. the sun was so hot and she kept panting like a dog on a hot summer's day.
Ralph reluctantly lay on the ground
Feeling the spiky green grass on her toes and arms, she felt relaxed. Turning her head, she peered out and saw a sparkling lagoon. Shaking her head, she blinked for a second in disbelief. For a minute, she thought she caught heat stroke and imagined it, but no, there it was: the water glistened in the sunlight. It reminded her of her mother favourite story book the little mermaid her mother would read it to her when she was younger she remembered her mother would always smile while reading it to her she wasn't really a fan of the story but she like seeing her mother being happy to read her the story she remembered the cover of the book having a lagoon just like this well except the mermaid of course, mother would have love to see this she thought sadly getting to her feet she dives straight into the water splashing around like a crocodile she climbed the tallest tree and jumped off it like she just got shot out of a circus canon
Feeling tired, she flopped back onto land like a fish. She lazily tied up her wet hair and grabbed her grandfather's hat, putting it on her head to cover her long blonde hair.
She was about to go back to the shore in case any boats sailed by. She stopped dead in her tracks when she heard something move. Ralph peered down to look at the trees' shadows. The figure was coming closer. The shadow was big. Ralph felt frozen. What if it was a wild animal or worse? What if it was a savage cannibal? Ralph hid behind a tree, grabbed the biggest stick she could find, and waited for it to come.
She knew in order not to be killed, she would have to swallow her fear and protect herself.
Her muscles tense when she heard the snapping of twigs. She gripped the branch tightly, about to swing, but stopped when she saw what it was: a fat boy with glasses.
I drop my weapon and was about to walk away, trying to avoid having a conversation. I figured if I just ignore him, he'll leave me alone. But he keeps following me, asking for my name and asking me questions like, "Do you know where we are?" or "Do you think we'll be rescued soon?" Eventually, I caved in. I'm Ralph, and don't worry, we'll get rescued soon. You see, my father was part of the navy, and as soon as he hears I'm missing, he'll sure to send a lot of ships to come and save us. Ralph didn't realise she was smiling, but she soon went back to trying to ignore him. That's cool. My dad's dead, and well, my mom... He went silent. I turned around to face him. I could see he was about to cry. Walking past trees, I shouted, trying to make my voice sound more masculine, "Well, are you coming or not?" He faintly smiled and fallowed me.
They were halfway out of the forest, so ... um ... what's your name? I said, brushing aside the big leaves. Oh, you can call me whatever you want as long as you don't call me what the other kids called me back home. Hearing this caught my interest. "What do they call you?" I asked, he was coming in closer and whispering, "Well, they used to call me Piggy."
Ralph erupted in laughter so much she fell on the floor pointing at piggy hahah piggy hahahaha I told you not to call me piggy he said angrily his face went red which made Ralph laugh harder since now he actually looks like a pig
After I stopped laughing, me and piggy went to the shore and found a cute pink sea shell, but piggy called it a conch. He said, "You should blow here for it to make a nose." I didn't believe him at first, but then I did it, and it was pretty fun. I said happily, "Do you want to try?" He couldn't, he said he had asthma. Then he went on about not being able to do sports and other things. I didn't pay attention to him. I kept playing with the conch. Eventually, more boys started to come out from all parts of the forest. So, I blew harder, like I was playing an instrument at a concert.
