Soon enough, Ratchet had finagled things enough to reboot Aquaformer, who was quickly online, up, and had her weapon aimed at the others in to room. "Trying to take advantage of an downed bot?" She asked, her quickness surprising almost all in the room.
Knowing the bot better than Skyfire, Ratchet approached the femme. "Aquaformer, stand down. No one is going to hurt you. That, and I need your help with your friend here" Ratchet piped up.
Aquaformer looked over at the bot who spoke. She finally recognized him. "Hatchet?" She asked, knowing it would drive the real Ratchet nuts.
Ratchet sighed, "must you use that nickname?" Ratchet asked, his usual response when Aquaformer used it. Only then did Aquaformer lower her weapon but not her guard.
"What do you want, Ratchet?" Aquaformer asked.
"Who is your friend here?" Ratchet queried.
"His name is Lancex" Aquaformer answered bluntly.
Ratchet sighed. "Need more information than that, and you know that."
"Fine. I met him as I was traveling through space on a mission, in fact, I found him on a random planet. He wasn't too sure of me or my intentions but I noticed his optic was out. I didn't have a matching one but I had one I could use to repair him, but then I realized neither optic matched so it was less important if they matched. He reluctantly agreed and I repaired his optic. I asked him where he was from. He told about a settlement, a bot settlement that seemed to be forgotten by both Autobots and Decpeticons. He told me he was the last survivor as they had no help and so turned on one another. His job had been a hunter/sniper. He has a very specific gun weapon for that. He is also good at hand to hand combat. Once he was repaired, he felt he owed me since I helped him see again. I asked him to come on my mission with me. You see, since those in charge of my command didn't like me they sent me to some remote post. I figured I would at least not be alone if he came with me. And once we got there, he requested to be an Autobot after I explained the difference between the factions, so I did a quick program transfer from my systems and entered the scan Into the data base. I didn't have time to enter more or do more as we sensed something. We were attacked. Next thing I knew, we were here."
"Well, that is good information but I need to do a deeper scan, make sure all is ok" Ratchet stated.
"Be careful, he still could be full of surprises" Aquaformer added, and at that moment, Lancex shot awake, reacting much as Aquaformer first had. This was so not what Ratchet needed.
