He Man and the Stories of Ever After High Chapter 4: Briar's cafe party, a He-Man + Ever After High Crossover fanfic

"Everyone is capable of incredible displays of heroism, creativity, and genuine goodness throughout the Enchanted Kingdom. Despite that idea being possible, most of them don't believe it for the future villains of their home. Including Raven Queen due to how her mother was responsible for countless crimes that have led to their world joining Eternia opening a path to new threats that could potentially be a part of their stories. Despite that and struggling to accept that it was her destiny to become the new queen of evil, Raven believed there could be another way to avoid it since there could be a chance of avoiding it. Though for what she heard from Apple and Headmaster Grimm, the best thing she could do to avoid the drama was to keep silent until she got the truth. Luckily, she didn't need to worry about it since she was being invited to the Eternian Village of Book End as it had stores to satisfy everyone's needs and to relax from the stress of Ever After High."

Morning-Eternia Village of Book End

Just across from Ever After High was the new location of stores where the students could go and purchase new clothes or try meals that Eternia and the Enchanted Kingdom had to offer. Right around the corner was a small tea shop called the Hocus Latte that had opened up for the public and combined numerous beverages across Eternia and from the Enchanted Kingdom to be tried by the customers of Eternia. Working behind the counter was Madeline Hatter humming a tune as she made several cups of tea for the customers who were watching from the side as they saw how Maddie was madly making the tea.

"It's important to have a cup of sugar to help speed through the day. But it's important to have a scone on a cone, or a muffin with a button on top. But I usually enjoy sharing freshly made bagels on a decorative table."

She told the customers and gave them their orders while rhyming at the same time which made the customers enjoy the performance she gave them. Heading into the cafe was Briar Beauty who was taking photos of the place for her parents since they were back in the Enchanted Kingdom managing their home.

"Morning Maddie. Think I could get a fairy latte with a hint of cherries?"

Greeting her and asking for a beverage Maddie made it with excitement as she had it done quickly for Briar. Thanking her for the order, she walks over to notice the Eternian kids hanging amongst themselves and waiting for their orders.

"Hey there, didn't have the chance to meet you guys back at the classes. Especially you Adam since your are the talk of the village with that video of you embarrassing Daring during sword practice."

She brought up what happened since it went across the internet for everyone to see the video. Adam rubbed his head nervously about the news happening quickly and not thinking it wasn't a big deal. It resulted in Krass chuckling at the princess's statement about how it was a first for them to see Randor's son achieve the feat.

"It's more of a surprise to us since our buddy here isn't that good with a sword. We remembered during his tenth birthday that Teela got him a staff, he tried to use it but his nose and landed in his own cake."

Krass remembered a memory of when they were kids and knew that out of Eternos finest warriors, Adam lacked the skill to use any weapon. However, it didn't stop him from riding hoverboards across vast environments and pulling off stunts when he had time to spare. Sighing at how he brought up the memory of his childhood, Adam decided to look at the video on his phone where he saw the views escalating to over the thousands.

"The last thing I want is to get into the spotlight before getting my name written in that book everyone is talking about. Since it seems that's important for everyone here at Ever After."

Adam is brought up despite knowing he'll eventually get noticed by everyone across the planet and his parents watching his acceptance of the throne. He had trouble understanding school life so he didn't know what the outcome of showing off to Daring would do to him. Sitting by his side was Teela who nudged his shoulder for getting nervous about the notice he'd make when they headed back to the school.

"Don't mind him. He's not used to hanging around royalties like yourself, more or less any of us since we've grown up around adults who are either soldiers or inventors. Except for Stratos who's taking the moment for himself to fly around the sky right now."

She stated that they weren't like any of the Royals at Ever After except for Stratos who was going to be king of the Avian people. They were used to learning about defending themselves from dangers across Eternia, building numerous types of inventions to help their home, and learning about their past since there used to be great magic that was used before disappearing from the land. Briar listened about their upbringing which left her to be sorry for the four since their kingdom relied on technology.

"Well, that doesn't mean you have to be moody all the time. Besides, everyone has a destiny once they write their names in the book. I'm going to be the next Sleeping Beauty who'll take the mother of all sleeps, until then. I'm living in the moment."

Briar told them what she'd be destined for and it made the four confused about what she'd eventually do would result in not seeing her friends again in a hundred years. While they wanted to point out where it would lead Briar, Orius wanted to ask something that didn't result in how she'd feel about her sleeping destiny.

"So. What are you going do in the meantime?"

Curiously asked while Briar would be attending Ever After like the rest of them, what else would the soon-to-be Sleeping Beauty do while she was awake. Smirking at the question and noticing near the walls was an old school jukebox, she pulled out a coin gold and flipped it into the machine which started it up as she nodded her head to the rhythm.

"Live the moment."

Answering his question about where the Eternians noticed how the music Briar played had most of the customers noticed her. They noticed how each of them tapped their feet to the beat and watched Briar moving to the music as if she had them in a trance as she became the center of attention for the cafe.

"Boys call you pretty. And you don't care what they say, see every time you turn around they screaming your name."

Briar started to sing for everyone who listened to her voice and looked over to Maddie who needed help with the performance she was doing for everyone. Whistling to a mouse companion of hers, Maddie has a small mouse open up the curtains where the sun shines above her showing off her looks and the colors of her clothing to make her stand out for everyone to see.

"Now I've got a confession, when I was young, I wanted attention. And I promised myself that I'd do anything, anything at all for them to notice me."

She spoke out on what she'd do to be noticed before taking her deep sleep as Briar moved across the room showing a variety of moves that captivated the crowd. Walking over to the shelves that held numerous stories of their kingdom's famous people, she starts handing them out and has everyone imagine themselves in their own stories.

"But I ain't complaining. We all wanna be famous, so go ahead and say what you wanna say. You don't know what its like to be nameless, want them to know what your name is. Cause see when I was younger, I would say."

Briar stopped for a moment as she snaps her fingers which caused everyone to throw the books in the air which turned into colored streamers which covered the room. Despite causing a mess around the tables, the singing from Briar made everyone excited as it started a party in seconds.

"When I grow up. I wanna be famous, I wanna be a star, I wanna be in movies. When I grow up. I wanna see the world, drive nice cars, I wanna have parades. When I grow up. Be on TV, people know me, be on magazines. When I grow up, fresh and clean. Number one princess when I step out on the scene!"

She started to list the various things she'd want growing up when she became known as the next Sleeping Beauty which was provided with people showing off various images of her with the things she asked for. The singing coming from Briar was slowly getting to Krass as he couldn't help himself to tap his foot enjoying the beat and the atmosphere she was making. The four continued to watch the crowd help with Briar's dancing as they held her in the air for everyone to watch and be amazed by her performance.

"Be careful what you wish for cause you just might get it. You just might get it. You just might get it. But be careful what you wish for cause you just might get it. You just might get it. You just might get it."

Warning them about soon achieving that goal which in her case was taking a long sleep. Though until that day would come, Briar would enjoy herself and everything around her. Turning over near another table was Blondie Locke's who was working on an article about who'd be attending Legacy Day across Eternia as well their own kingdom. Noticing Briar who wanted to participate in the moment, she smiled and continued to write on her pad.

"They used to tell me I was silly. Until I popped up on the TV, I always wanted to be a superstar. And knew that singing songs would get me this far!"

She called out to them as Blondie showed off the finished article to everyone which showed half of the school along their parents being proud of their kids becoming future kings and queens of their lands. While also adding in Adam and his friends which caught the four by surprise when she was able to finish her article.

Stopping for a moment as Maddie laughed in excitement before she pulled out from her hat numerous horns and different types of party favors that she hurled across the cafe for everyone take. It quickly led to everyone rushing outside into the village which made the street turn into a party. It eventually left Krass and Orius to participate in the performance with the girls.

The two sang together while dancing with the boys who were able to keep up with their movement. Adam himself was clapping to the show except for Teela who was taking a moment to figure out what was causing them to participate in the activity. It wasn't magic or anything that convinced them to join in, the conclusion she could think of was the positivity that came from Briar and sharing it with everyone around her.

Advising Krass and Orius on what they'd receive would leave the two to accepting a responsibility that would come to them in the future. It was suddenly stopped with several birds chirping around them as they flew over to Apple White, who happened to notice the dancing on the streets and was curious if she could join in. Having Briar and Blondie offered in her joining, Apple snaps her fingers which had several of the boys by the side join in as well.

"I see them staring at me. Oh, I'm a royalty, yes this is true cause what I do, no one can do it better. You can talk about me, cause I'm a hot topic. I see you watching me watching me and I know you want it!"

She called out as the boys started to stomp their feet on the ground and show off a variety of dance movements towards the cafe people. Having joined the dancers, Krass and Orius were able to do the same moves that Apple's friends were doing which caught them by surprise since they never danced before. Walking over to be the center of attention, Apple displayed her own moves which had the crowd on the side cheer for her as she brought Briar and Blondie over so they could be noticed by everyone.

The trio of girls sang together where they looked over at the Eternian boys who came over showing off their moves which surprised Adam and Teela on them performing. Along making a pose as they displayed their unique talents that involved Krass showing off his strength and Orius elongates his neck around the four to show his stretching capabilities.

The girls finishing their performance which made the people around the village applause the princess's for singing and the boys for participating in the dance. Suddenly as if they were under a spell, both Krass and Orius realized what they were doing which left the boys embarrassed as they quickly shook off whatever made them dance. Adam and Teela didn't say anything but heard an applause from Maddie who was laughing at seeing the dance as it was able to bring in more customers to the cafe.

"I guess no one told you. The Enchanted Kingdom has a unique talent in bringing anyone around them into a musical performance, most of their parents were responsible for creating songs. Didn't anyone tell you that before coming?"

Maddie explained how Krass and Orius were compelled to join Briar's singing as Adam and Teela shook their heads to the Wonderland girl on that fact. More importantly that they heard the sound of snoring coming from Briar, who had fallen asleep and was resting in Krass arms since he was able to hold her up. The two walked over to check if she was alright but was assured by Apple that this was normal.

"Briar always falls asleep whenever she does a lot of partying. Or any kind of activity, could you help and bring her back to Ever After?"

Apple asked Krass if he'd escort the unconscious princess as the muscular boy nodded as they decided to head back to the school. While that was going on, Adam noticed near the trees was Raven watching the show as she quickly retreated into the shadows which had the prince confused of her hiding.

"I'll catch up with you guys. I'm going check on something."

He replied to everyone who was heading back to Ever After High as follows Raven into the forest, not knowing why she was being secretive and keeping her distance from everyone. Maddie was the only one to notice Raven who watched the dancing and knew that there was a reason for her being there, along how important it was for Adam to follow her. Humming to herself about how'd it turns out, the mad girl decided to retreat back into the cafe and continue serving beverages to the new customers that were coming in thanks to Briar's singing.

Later-Enchanted Forest

Trying to find Raven through the forest and hopping to figure out why she was hiding from everyone. Adam was walking over fallen trunks to looking into the bushes to see if there was any sign of her. It didn't make much sense since Raven didn't exactly make anyone fear her whenever she was around, though there was yesterday when Raven was in the cafeteria and gotten an apple which people freaked out since they thought she was about to make a poison apple.

"Raven? I'm kind of confused why you were spying on us. did you want to hang out with us?"

He called out to see if he'd get a response from Raven as it didn't help that he heard only the sounds of birds coming from above him. Keeping his focus and trying to see if there was any sign of Raven, Adam was getting frustrated since it might have been a mistake to follow her here.

"Okay. You win, I thought you wanted to talk to me but I guess you got curious about that dance Briar showed to everyone since it brought everyone together."

Adam spoke out and decided to give up since Raven be doing this to mess with him. Before heading out to head back with the others, before he could do so. Raven appeared in front of him which caught Adam off guard as he collapsed on the floor surprised by how quiet she was. She chuckled softly as Raven helped Adam up since he didn't expect her to appear in front of him.

"Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Also that I was planning on visiting Maddie to get something to eat, that's when I saw Briar and the others dancing. It be bad to come in and cause a commotion."

Raven explained her reason for not coming to the cafe since it make everyone run away from her. Taking a moment to understand the reason, it didn't mean that she couldn't come in and join them. Adam took a moment in looking at the trees since it felt relaxing and not loud like the cafe was, it seemed the perfect spot for someone like herself to relax and get away from Ever After.

"Actually, we kind of have that in common since people already are talking about me 'embarrassing' Daring. I mean I didn't plan on it, it just happened."

Responding to her on them causing a stir for Ever After High since Raven had seen the video of him putting the soon to be king on the ground. She couldn't help but chuckle at the video which made Adam embarrassed since he wanted to go away, Raven stopped laughing since there was something that she wanted to discuss a topic with him.

"Sure. I mean it's not like that sword of yours that you've been carrying around gave you that sudden skill now. Would it?"

Questioning if the sword that he's been carrying around the school could be responsible for the swordsmanship skill he displayed at gym. Adam took the moment to pull out his sword since it didn't look that special, especially there wasn't anything magical about it.

"Does it look magical? Just before coming back home I was taking a detour around the vine jungle with my cat Cringer. We did a bit of sightseeing before I heard a humming sound going off to the side. Then I entered this empty castle where I found the sword lying on the ground."

Adam told her how he acquired the sword and it coming from an empty castle that didn't seem special or important to Eternia. Raven got a better look at it before touching the blade, just as she was admiring it. A pair of eyes appeared in front of her that glowed brightly and stared directly towards the purple haired teen.

"Raven Queen of the Enchanted Kingdom."

It spoke to her as Raven moved back which made Adam confused for why she reacted afraid. Before he could ask what was wrong, the sword in his hand began to vibrant fast to where it turned north and forced him to follow its direction. Watching the prince go off into the forest and following after him, Raven could tell there was more to where Adam found the mysterious sword. Watching how Adam was avoiding getting hit by branches and falling in ditches, she tried her best to catch up while Adam himself was having trouble in letting go of the sword.

"Just let go!"

She shouted as Adam tried to but was compelled to keep his hand on the handle as they made their way out of the forest where they arrived empty plain of land. Confused about the sword leading them here, Adam looked in front of him where he saw the same castle where he found the sword in the first place.

"There. You see? Just an ordinary castle. Or it's something else since this sword had me rush towards it like if it wanted to go back home."

Adam told Raven who had managed to catch up with him and took a moment to look at what castle he was talking about. Taking a moment to recognize the structure as well the outer decor, Raven was speechless at the castle Adam found the sword in. The prince however was still confused by the look on Raven's face as he waited to see if she'd say anything at what was in front of them.

"Adam. That's not just a castle, its castle Grayskull. The one place in Eternia to never trespass on? We learned about it in history class."

She explained to him since he didn't pay attention to it at the time when he was in the same class with her. Taking a moment to gaze at the skull in front of Grayskull and feeling a bit of fear, it was the same castle that was spoken about back at Ever After High. Adam felt the sword humming in his hands as he didn't take the time from before to recognize the castle, as well that the sword wanted to bring him inside of the stone like structure. Raven herself felt a strange feeling coming from staring at Grayskull, to which it be best to join Adam and see what exactly the mysterious castle had in store for the prince of Eternos.
