Chapter 1: The Star Festival
The time has now come for the star festival to begin. But wait, aren't we still missing one more guest? Let's head over and find out who this mystery person could be. Warping through a pipe near the town's entrance we arrive at a small clearing not far from the path leading to the city. In the distance appears to be a single house with a giant sign on the front that reads "Mario." Hmm, that sounds very familiar, doesn't it? Coming out of the house stands a man dressed in red and blue clothing supporting a very bushy mustache…
"Ahh, what a beautiful night here it is in the kingdom." said the mystery man to himself. "I heard the mailbox open just a bit ago." "Let's see what we have."
Opening the box, the man comes to find a letter. He starts to jump with joy as its contents are read through which states…
"Dear Mario, I'll be waiting for you at the castle on the night of the Star Festival. There's something I'd like to give you." — from Peach.

If you haven't figured it out by now our mystery guest is none other than Mario! Sticking the letter into his pocket Mario quickly heads toward the castle intrigued at what tonight's events may bring. Arriving at the Toad Town gate our friend is welcomed in by the entrance guards…
"Mario, you are the last guest to arrive!" said the guard.
"Welcome to the Mushroom Kingdom!" said the other.
As Mario heads through the plaza, he is greeted by many Toads around collecting star bits. Countless portions of them are falling all over with some even being gobbled up our friends…
"The star bits taste like honey and chocolate!" said a Toad passing by.
Mario stops and heads slightly to the right to a platform with a blue Toad jumping up and down…
"The view from here is wonderful!" said the blue Toad.
From the view is Peach's castle basking beautifully with its glow in the star filled night…
"The castle is just down this path!" said a guard.
Also picking up a few star bits of his own, Mario finally makes it to the main plaza with the castle just beyond his view until…
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Out of nowhere meteors appear from the sky crashing into multiple buildings knocking them all over the ground! In a panic Toads begin rushing left and right trying to dodge the chaos until suddenly they stop. Also blasting from the sky are multiple crystals which land trapping our friends inside! What is happening right now and is the princess okay? Bewildered, Mario as well looks up trying to avoid being trapped and notices something in the sky…
"Huh, is that?" said Mario. "No, it can't be, why now?"
Multiple airships appear in the sky revealed to be causing the chaos down below and make their way to the castle…
"Peach what is going on!?" said Baby Luma scared.
"No, why now at the star festival!?' said Peach. "Don't worry Baby Luma I got you." "If my instincts are right Mario is moments away and will save us."
Watching from above the princess clutching Baby Luma tight has hope her hero will do his thing. A couple of guards quickly run out to the Princess to protect her until Mario arrives…
"Your majesty, Toads are being trapped left and right inside giant crystal things!" said one. "What about Mario?" said Peach.
"He is trying to help as many Toads as he can." said the other. "They are panicking all over the place."
As the chaos continued the biggest ship leaves the rest and comes to a stop right in front of the princess. Walking up from the backside is a giant turtle with sharp claws and fiery red hair. This creature needs no introduction as it is none other than Lord Bowser King of the Koopas…
"Princess Peach, you are formally invited to the creation of my new galaxy!" proclaimed Bowser.
The guards jump at the terrifying presence of Bowser as one stands his ground and the other hides behind the princess…
"GWAHAHAHA!" roared Bowser. "This festival is over!"
As Bowser rants he shoots a giant ball of lighting from his hands that forms a dark swirling cloud right above him. Peach looks on with a bit of fear in her eye as a giant saucer is summoned from inside the cloud. Meanwhile, in the plaza Mario is trying his best to help contain the damage…
"It's BOWSER!" shouted a Toad.
"Panic and fear!" shouted another. "Panic and fear!"
"I'm just going to stay over here." said one on a doorstep.
"Hurry, the princess is this way!" said a guard motioning Mario toward the castle.
Our hero finally makes his way to the castle grounds with the princess entering the line of view…
"Help Me!" shouted Peach as she saw Mario sprinting in the distance.
Mario dashes his way through the grass dodging past a bit more of the massive chaos exploding around him. He sighs a quick breath of relief finally coming to a stop in front of the castle bridge. The giant UFO from before suddenly reappears and sets itself directly above the castle causing Mario to look up in awe. It slowly spins around beginning to charge up three blinking red lasers that can be seen from the ship's bottom…
"I've got a bad feeling about this." said Mario.
The lasers stop and change multiple colors releasing their power as they mark a giant circle around the entire castle. A loud boom is heard as the ships gather around smashing their anchors into the marked circle around the castle. The impact startles our friends from above while also causing the bridge to break apart briefly stunning Mario. Releasing from the ground the ships pull back the anchors as the castle begins to be ripped right from its foundations!
"What is happening?" said Peach clutching Baby Luma tight.
The residue from the torn-up ground is blown across the air as the castle is lifted through the planet's atmosphere all the way up into outer space…
"MARIO!" shouts Peach as she looks down hoping he is okay.
"Huff, huff, huff." pants Mario trying to regain his strength. "Huh?"
"AH, HEHEHEHE!" shouts Kamek as he appears and floats above Mario startling him. "So long, ENJOY YOUR FLIGHT!"
Kamek as he gloats charges up his wand and sends out a powerful magic blast toward Mario. With nowhere to run Mario braces for impact as the blast connects destroying the bridge causing him to wail while he floats away…
"HEHE!" shouts Kamek teleporting away.
"MARIO!" shouts Peach one last time as a big flash appears around everything and they all vanish into thin air.
Baby Luma rockets from Peach's arms at the last second and pursues after Mario following our hero into the very unknown…
Author's Note: Wow what a night this will be to remember! I have things happening so apologizing in advance for the longing of Chapter 1. Well, here we go again! The start of a brand-new Mario adventure this time in space. A journey this size who knows what will happen. Stay tuned and find out soon as the adventure now begins! See you soon,
