Sunlight of red shown through the blinds as Husk and Nyx laid awake together, Nyx had her head on Husk's chest smiling.
"Shit, last night was amazing." Husk said, Nyx giggled.
"Yeah it was." Nyx said.
"I don't think I enjoyed myself this much in years... It's just... I've been missing out." Husk said.
"Yeah, I'm surprised you were able to let out that much." Nyx commented. Husk arched an eyebrow at her comment. He sits up.
"Did I release inside you?" Husk asked.
"Yeah, but there's no need to worry about risks, you're a sinner. Sinner's can't reproduce, remember?" Nyx asked, at that reminder, Husk's ears flattened and he sighed.
"Yeah, it's sad, you know? I've never been the type to think about children befah when I was still alive, partially because the women I want are hard to find nowadays. Then when I died, and then met you and decided the rest of my afterlife would be with you. Then the thought of children came up and I realized now would be too late..." Husk sighs.
"To think, with the knowledge of knowing that I can't reproduce in Hell, I wouldn't have done the actions required to get in Hell..." Husk said.
"Well, for what it's worth, we can still adopt, there's plenty of Homeless Hellborn's around Hell in need of a home." Nyx tries to cheer him up, but he sighs.
"Yeah, that is true. But it's still not the same, I want my own with you. Somethin' created from me and the person I love." Husk said.
"Hm, okay." Nyx said, getting out of bed she looked at Husk with a seductive half smile.
"Do you want to come with me in the shower?" Nyx asked.
"I mean, you won't catch me complainin'" Husk said, getting up. The two headed out to shower.
Once the day started, Husk got to work at the bar, wiping it down while everyone did their own thing. Even Lucifer was here to visit since he needed to spend time with his family. Nyx hummed and typed on her phone before the door was being knocked on.
"I'll get it!" Charlie skips up to the door to reveal two Angels, Charlie was a bit nervous, one had a flame like hair and one eye, his outfit looked to be regal and had eyelike shoulder pads. The other one looked to be a splitting image of her father and her, she seemed to be giddy she grabbed Charlie's hand shaking it maniacally.
"Hi hi hi I'm Cassius you're soooooo pretty! It's such a pleasure to meet you! I've heard so much things about your Hotel!" Cassius said, Charlie blinked before smiling too in response feeling relieved that not all Angels were assholes.
"Now, Cassius we're not here to make friends, we're here to get Nyx, remember?" Flame hair said, flipping through the clipboard he had in his hand.
"Wait, my Aunt, why?" Charlie asked.
"Your... Aunt? Oh you're Lucifer's girl." The male said.
"Yes, but what buisness do you even have to come all the way from Heaven to here?" Charlie asked.
"Let us come in." He said, Charlie stepped aside and they walked in, Lucifer noticed the two but didn't say anything.
"Ah, it completely slipped my mind. Let me introduce myself. I'm Galim. Head of Security on Heaven." Galim said. Charlie's face paled, security? Does that mean her aunt's in big trouble.
"And you already know who I am! I'm Cassius! Head of Security's Assistant!" Cassius giggles.
Charlie forced a smile at that, but she had one question for him, because if a Head of Security from Heaven visits that can only mean one thing... And she was afraid of the answer.
"Uh, forgive me for asking, but... What exactly is the job of the Head of Security?" Charlie asked.
Galim smiled. "Glad you asked." He turned to face Cassius.
"Hold my clipboard." Galim said to Cassius who takes it.
"Sure thing Little Brother!" Cassius chirps.
"Every Archangel in Heaven has a job!" Galim sang, as the screen moves up as Charlie was grabbed by Galim and he smiled.
"For instance... My older brother Michael works as an Administrator!" Galim shows the image of Michael.
"My other older brother Gabriel guides the new souls through Heaaaaaaaven!" Galim sang.
"Wow- I- But that doesn't -" Charlie began.
"So it begins - My brother Leroy-" Galim sang.
"Leroy!" Cassius chirps.
"Works as the Head of Weapons! While a Head of Security ensures that Heaven is a Okay!"
"A Head of Security's main job is getting accused Angels to courrrrrt!" Galim sang before a headlight shone on Charlie
"Wait what?!" Charlie asked.
The Jazz swing stops as Galim stood in the Hotel, he turned to Cassius and cleared his throat. "Big Sister, ready the Divine Cuffs." Galim said.
"Wait this has all got to be a big misunderstanding- what did my aunt do to deserve this?" Charlie asked. Galim placed the cuffs on Nyx. The cuffs disabled her wings making them disappear as golden chains wrapped around her torso.
"You're under arrest under the suspicion of killing your ex husband, Adam." Galim said.
"Wait what?!" Husk stood up from behind the bar, he was looking for a drink to make but hearing that, his heart pounded.
"Nyx didn't kill Adam a Sinner did!" Charlie said, not wanting to rat out Niffty in case that these Angels were like the Exorcists.
"That's not what Lute said, now we're required in Heaven for this court hearing." Balim said.
"But you can't just simply take Lute's word for it!" Charlie said.
"That's why we're holding a court hearing, now let us go." Balim says. Nyx smiled softly.
"It would be okay, Charlie." Nyx assures Charlie, "I will get out of this one."
"Please, Auntie Nyx! I will promise to get you out if you can't do so yourself!" Charlie said with a worry.
"Okay, off we go." Balim said.
"Damn, I should ask for these handcuffs myself so I can use them in bed... Oh fuck, I've been hanging around Angel Dust too much." Nyx said, as Balim and Cassius left with her.
Charlie could only watch helplessly as her Aunt was taken away and she couldn't do anything about it. She placed a hand on Charlie's shoulder frowning.
"It's okay, Charlie. You tried your best..." Lucifer said.
"Dad, what will happen if Aunt Nyx was found guilty?" Charlie asked.
"..." Lucifer hesitated before taking a deep breath. "She'll be killed by angelic force."
Charlie gasped and before she could answer, a black blur was seen and Husk was grabbing onto Lucifer.
"There's got to be a way to save her!" Husk yelled.
"I'm sorry, Husk... It's all out of my hands now... If I were able to sway Heaven with my words alone I would..." Lucifer said sadly.
Husk grits his teeth. "Then we're going up there and we're going to save her ourselves."
When Nyx was being escorted to the Courtroom many people gave her weird looks and were whispering amongst themselves about her accused crimes. She felt like shrinking into herself. Fucking Lute, she'll get her ass. Galim made his way to the courthouse and she was greeted by God, which was a first he's been nearly gone for the entirety of the war against Angels and Sinners.
God made his way where Sera was, Gabriel ran up to her and hugged her. "Little Sister? It's really you! We thought you died! Thank goodness it's not true that you were! Oh! I'm your defendant. I'll be the one to get you out of this one." Gabriel said.
"This is all, bittersweet and all... But she's being accused of murder of the first degree, I would imagine this is a shut and close case. Now would it?" Said a voice.
"Michael..." Gabriel seethed through their teeth.
"Well, I'm sure we're going to win the case and prove our sister's innocence!" Gabriel said.
"Mhm. Yeah, you do that. Now if you're done crying over the accused the trials about to start." Michael said leaving inside the courthouse. Gabriel grits their teeth and sighed.
"Sorry, just come inside." Gabriel said walking in, Nyx walked in. She sees someone familiar.
"Sir Pentious?!" Nyx said.
"Hey Nyx!" Sir Pentious said.
"You know him?" Gabriel asked.
"Yeah! He was in Hell, this is further proof that Sinners can be redeemed!" Nyx said.
"Wait, if he was in Hell, was he present during Adam's death?" Gabriel asked hopeful.
"Not exactly, he died beforehand at the hands of Adam." Nyx said sadly.
"I can tessstify if needed." Sir Pentious said.
"Well, that'll be good! We need all the statements we can get." Gabriel said.
Nyx walked to the table where Charlie was all those months ago while Gabriel stood by her, over on the other table was Lute and Micheal.
"Alright, today we are hearing the case of Nyx vs Lute. Nyx stands accused of killing Adam, Lute please state your claim." Sera said, God was just sitting silently observing.
"Yes, Ma'am. So, Adam was my boss he was a kind yet understanding guy lovable too once you got to know him... and... and... He was killed, by... by... that witch!" Lute said.
"Objection your honor!" Nyx said.
"Granted." Sera said, Lute rolled her eyes and frowned.
"Lute said he was 'lovable', 'kind', and 'understanding', yet what happened the last time in this court begs to differ." Nyx said, the other angels murmur in slight agreement.
"Objection, your honor. You're really going to believe something as preposterous as that? About a dead man? Shortly after his own death?" Michael asked.
"Silence, while you're correct about his death, he was nasty in his afterlife." Sera said.
Michael grumbles. "Okay then, I will start. Your honor my client has developed PTSD from witnessing her friend dying! It's been interfering with her day to day life!" Michael claims.
"Hm, and what do you have to say about this, Gabriel?" Sera said.
"For someone who is traumatized by that, I don't see anything on her! She was completely sad when he died but judging by her time back in Heaven, she was living it up!" Gabriel said, they pulled up a bunch of pictures of Lute on Heaven after the exterminations the others gasp.
"OBJECTION! It... Could be AI?" Michael said.
"Nonsense, AI isn't that good yet, now let's move on from Lute and talk about the actual crime please." Sera said.
"Right, your honor I do not believe that the defendant would kill her ex husband! What would her motives be? It's not like she has anything to gain from his death!" Gabriel said.
"Objection! She has a lot to gain from it! She could've killed him for revenge, for power or maybe there's someone else in the picture..." Michael said.
"What are you talking about?" Gabriel narrows his eyes at Micheal who just chuckled.
"Oh nothing, just the defendant cuddling up against a SINNER of all people!" Michael pulled out the orb as it shows her with Husk, the room erupted in gasps, God's eyes widened in shock. Sera was completely awestruck.
Gabriel turned to face Nyx who just placed her face in her hands shaking her head.
Back at Hell, in the Vees Headquarters a female was walking through the halls. She looked like she was to be advertised for Valentine's Day.
She hummed and walked through the hallways, she's lived here since Vox found her on the streets 20 years ago. She was just a little Hellborn then but now she's grown. As she walked through the halls a portal opened, startling her momentarily before she peered into it.
"What's this?" She asked, on the other end there was a bright light, curiosity gets the better of her and she entered the portal before groaning and finding herself in Heaven. She blinked and looked around.
Was this Heaven? She gets up. And began to walk around, before bumping into someone, the stranger gasped and held his hand out, he looked at her with soft golden eyes, he had 3 scars where his left eye is, he had stubble on his face, his clothes looked regal.
She takes his hand and he helped her up. "Hey, what's your name?" He asked.
"I'm known as Vivianne- but my friends call me Viv." She said.
"That's a pretty name, I'm Leroy. Head of Weapon's and Army on Heaven." Leroy said.
"Nice to meet you!"
Back at Hell, Lucifer was worried and shaken up.
"Dad, what's wrong?" Charlie asked, Husk was getting impatient and irritated, he wanted to save Nyx.
"It's just, I'm nervous about this... I don't know where the portal went so I am a little wrecked..." Lucifer chuckled a bit nervously.
"I see, Dad you can do this." Charlie said.
"If it was up to me, I would've made the portal myself, haha!" Alastor laughs. Lucifer glared at him.
"Whatever, I can do it." Lucifer attempted to make another portal.
"Mhm. Yeah right." Alastor said, walking besides Pandora who visably walks away.
"Ugh... Can you just relax your nerves?! I need to see Nyx!" Husk shouts.
"Husk, I know that you're worried but show some patience." Charlie said.
"I can't when Nyx is in danger!" Husk shouts.
"Okay. I got it." Lucifer summoned the portal, and Charlie looked at it.
"Alright Husk, when you walk through please stay by me-" Charlie began but Husk ran in, Charlie sighs.
"Dad, are you coming with?" Charlie asked.
"...I don't think I will." Lucifer said.
"Dad, please. I need you there with me... Even Nyx does too!" Charlie begs. Lucifer sighed.
"It's been... Millions of years, I doubt they'll react kindly to me being up there." Lucifer said. Before staring into Charlie's pleading eyes, he sighed and gave in.
"Fine let's go." Lucifer said, heading in the portal.
"Vaggie's in charge when I'm gone! Bye!" Charlie left.
Everyone gulped turning to face Vaggie.
Back at the courtroom everyone was just whispering about the fact that Nyx was dating a Sinner.
"Objection!" Nyx shouts. "Me and Adam had never been together after he abandoned me to die in Hell! So wouldn't it be fair for me to find love elsewhere?"
"It's obviously immoral to date a Sinner!" Michael slammed his fist on the table. "Especially one that is a gambler and alcoholic!"
"He may be an alcoholic and gambler but I believe he can change!" Nyx said.
"Now, Sera if Gabriel has nothing else to contribute to this argument I think this case is cl-" Michael starts.
"I call Sir Pentious to the stand!" Gabriel said. Micheal's eye twitches. And he took a deep breath in.
"Motion granted." Sera said.
"Sera I'm going to take over this court." God said.
"Oh, right my Lord." Sera steps away from the stand while God takes it.
"Sir Pentious please make your way to the stand." God said.
Sir Pentious walked to the stand, leaving Lute shocked and worried because he might expose the truth to everyone. Everyone like these Angels knew, but the Archangels nor God knew himself.
"Hi, my name isss Sssir Pentiousss and I'm proof that a sssinner can be redeemed..." Sir Pentious said, Sera looked slightly upset at that as with Lute.
"I wasss killed when Adam ssshot down my aircraft killing me and sssending me to Heaven." Sir Pentious said, Nyx nodded sadly sighing.
"I'd like to sssay if I mussst, Nyx isss a kind sssoul, ssshe would never kill her ex husssband. Ssshe wouldn't have a motive to." Sir Pentious said.
"And how do we know you're not lying?" Michael asked.
"I have no meansss to lie. I've known her for a ssshort time, and yet ssshe wouldn't do what you're accusssing." Sir Pentious said.
"Thanks for your help, Mr. Pentious, you may sit down. Now if you have nothing else to contribute Michael then this case is-" God began before a slam was heard.
"This, this is the knife used to kill the Victim." Michael said.
"Nyx left it behind when she killed Adam." Muchael accused.
"What?!" Nyx shouts.
"Now, what do you have to say about that, Gabriel?" Michael asked smugly.
"Nyx couldn't do that, because - because... Urgh!" Gabriel groans.
"See? This is further proof that Gabriel's logic is faulty..." Michael smirks.
"There's an old saying that the phoenix will rise up from the-he flame But this ain't no drama off Broadway or courtroom video game! Now you've run out of chances and this trial's taken too long So let's end this All the evidence was here all along!" Michael sang.
"Because Gabe is wrong!" Michael sang.
"All of your logic is faulty Your plans are all a disgrace! All of your traps are outdated Your tricks blow up in your face! Sad to break the illusion, but it's true, I knew all along
You can't fool me Is it cruel of me to say it in song?" Michael asked.
"Because Gabe is wrong!"
"Forgive my lack of tact, but Gabe knows little more than jack
'Cause they're a wacky crackpot quack, exactly that, a backward hack! In fact, in spite of what's been said, in light of Gabe's quite empty head"
"Mr. Gabe is wrong!"
"Now that you feel yourself sinking and watch things go up in smoke Finally you see you're in trouble, but all your gimmicks are broke! Bluffs are just a distraction, and your case is clearly not strong So let's end this And send Gabe right back to where they belong!"
"Because Gabe is wrong! Gabe is wrong!"
"Gabe is wrong" Michael finished his song as Nyx shook her head Gabriel then messed around with their papers.
"Now, Gabriel if you're done making a fool of yourself. I will be scheduling Nyx's execution next Friday." God said. Gabriel then grits their teeth.
"If there was a murder weapon... And Nyx didn't do it... Then...TEST THAT WEAPON! If there is a shadow of a proof that my defendant did this... Then test the weapon!" Gabriel shouts.
"Excuse me?!" God said.
Micheal sighs. "In spite of what I said earlier... Gabe... Is right, for some reaon no one thought to test the weapon and went straight to accusations blindly." Michael said.
"I don't tolerate tomfoolery in the midst of justice, but fine, you get one more day of testing then no more." God said, before slamming his gavel down.
"Court dismissed. But Michael and Gabriel you two stay." God said.
"Okay, Yes father?" Michael asked.
"Don't think what I saw was a perversion of Justice in my court. You two were obviously colluding together. If there's one thing I despise is the act of silliness in serious situations and as such, I'm removing you from this case, Michael." God said.
"You're, what?" Michael asked.
"I'm removing you entirely, since it's clear you are unfit to work with your brother on anything. So you're going to accept this." God said.
"This... This is unfair!" Michael said.
"I have the last say in this." God said, Michael sighed.
"You're dismissed." God said.
At Heaven's Hotel, Nyx was pacing back and forth. "That was a close one..." Nyx said.
"I told you, that I will get you out of this, Nyx." Gabriel said.
"I know..." Nyx sighed. The door was being knocked on Nyx walked up to the door. Before she can greet whoever is there she felt a tight hug engulf her. It was warm and fuzzy.
"Husk!" Nyx gasped out.
"Nyx! You're okay, thank fuck! I thought you were executed already!" Husk said with worry in his eyes.
"Yeah, they are testing the weapon. Come in." Nyx said, Husk walked in with Lucifer and Charlie behind him.
"Nyx who is that- Oh! Hello!" Gabriel walked up towards Husk and took his hand shaking it.
"You must be Nyx's Boyfriend! I'm Gabriel her older sibling!" Gabriel smiled.
"Ah, um. Nice to meet you?" Husk said a little confused.
"Lucifer, is that you?" Gabriel asked shoving Husk aside.
"They are just a little excited yet worried." Nyx said.
"I see." Husk said.
"Yeah, it's me... Gabriel..." Lucifer said awkwardly, before Gabriel hugged him.
"It's been so many years. I wanted to come visit you in Hell but with all the chaos happening down there and Michael not letting me go down there, I couldn't." Gabriel said.
"I see. Michael still on his shit?" Lucifer asked. Gabriel sadly smiled.
."Unfortunately, but he's been removed from the case... and I don't know whose taking his place." Gabriel said.
"That would be me." Said a voice, Gabriel looked and groaned.
It was a male with blonde hair and his eyes were obscured by a mask. He had a long light purple jacket with white pants and black boots. Just like Leroy and Galim he looked like he was ready for war.
"Joel, why are you here? You can't possibly be Michael's replacement!" Gabriel said.
"Well I am little sibling..." Joel said.
"I'm older than you..." Gabriel mumbled.
"Now, you'll need to rest as much as possible because tomorrow you'll be going up against me." Joel said, walking off. "See you tomorrow." Then with that Joel left.
Gabriel sighs.
"What is he head of?" Nyx asked.
"Joel's head of intelligence. Meaning he is the mouthpiece of Father. Sera takes first priority and when she's not around he's the one to sort everything." Gabriel explained.
"I see, Joel's insufferable as ever." Lucifer commented.
"If you think that about Joel. Just wait until you see Michael again." Gabriel said, before getting up. "But Joel's right. We need to head to sleep."
"Well, we'll be staying the night so we can attend the hearing." Charlie said, which made Lucifer sweat.
"Actually, I was think-" Lucifer began.
"Just adjust your clothes." Husk said pushing them out and heading to their own room, leaving Nyx and Gabriel alone to sleep.
The next morning they all found themselves back in Court. Charlie was sitting te farthest away from the front, but Sir Pentious couldn't see her.
Lucifer was way in the back shrouded in mystery to not give himself away, while Husk sat next to Charlie. Nyx was busy at the same table waiting for Gabriel to arrive. She was a bit nervous since this is the last day.
"Alright, before we begin. Where is Gabriel, Nyx?" God asked.
"They're running late." Nyx said. not expecting this outcome one bit. God mumbled something before sighing.
"That's no good. But we'll start without them." God said.
"Might I suggest, I take over for the time being?" Michael asked.
"I thought I got you out of this case?" God asked.
"Unfortunately, Gabriel has a buisness to handle, and I'd thought I'd take over." Michael said. "It's fine he told me I can."
God just groaned and shook his head. "Whatever, let's do this."
"Joel, do you have any of the testing done?" God asked.
"Yes, and well it turns out..." Joel said, pausing in suspense as everyone waited with bated breath.
"Nyx is not the killer." Joel said, Husk lets out a breath of relief while Lute grits her teeth. God's face softened at that.
"Well then, jury's in and Nyx is not guilty." God said, Husk gets up and hugs Nyx.
Everyone gasped at the sinner in Heaven. God tilted his head and smiled. "Nyx, can you come and bring your friends with you?" God asked.
"Um, sure father." Nyx said, Lucifer, Husk and Charlie followed the two.
"Lucifer, you don't need to hide my Son, I know it's you." God said.
"I want to..." Lucifer said upset.
"Aw come on." God said, Lucifer groans and unhides his face showing his goofy face and God smiled ruffling his hair.
"There's that same boy I know." God turned to Charlie.
"Is this you and Lilith's girl?" God asked. Lucifer nodded.
"I haven't seen her in 7 years Dad, we separated and she's kept Charlie from me." Lucifer said. God hummed.
"I see, and you must be Nyx's Boyfriend. Husk is it?" God asked Husk, he cleared his throat and nodded taking his hand and shaking it. God laughs.
"No need to feel nervous my child." God said, Husk was a bit nervous, yes, but he never expected to meet god, he wasn't really the type to believe in God at all, but here he is, faced to faced with God.
"It's just, I didn't expect for you to... Be in front of me." Husk said, God chuckles.
"Yeah, I get that a lot." God said.
"Yeah." Husk rubbed the back of his head nervously.
"Anyways, treat my Daughter right." God said.
"I promise sir." Husk said.
"Wonderful." God gets up, before Charlie gasps and looked at Nyx and God.
"Wait, God!" Charlie said.
"Hm?" God turned to face his Granddaughter.
"Are you aware of the situation in Hell that happened every 6 months in the last past few years?" Charlie asked.
"What situation?" God asked.
Nyx and Charlie looked at one another with worry. "Dad, what she's trying to say, is that Adam has been going down killing sinners every 6 months. Sera was completely aware by this. And when Charlie tried to prevent it by redemption for sinners and they were given proof, and by now there's even more proof-" Nyx starts.
"What do you mean even more proof?" Charlie asked.
"...Sir Pentious is here, Charlie." Nyx said, Charlie's eyes widened.
"He's here?! So it means it did work!" Charlie squeals.
"...So that means there's still hope for me and Angel Dust." Husk mumbled.
"Yeah, and they ended up moving it to months before, and we had no choice but to defend ourselves since they didn't listen to her pleas. Which led to a sinner killing Adam and to me being accused for some ridiculous reason." Nyx said, God frowned. Which was scary. No one seen God frowned, he stood up straight.
"Nyx, have your friends go home, I'm taking you with me to talk to Sera." God said.
"Charlie, you heard him. I'll promise I'll talk to him for you, okay?" Nyx asked.
"Alright Auntie, Nyx." Charlie said, with a wave of his hand, God opened a portal back to Hell as he left with Nyx, Husk smiled and walked through the portal back with Lucifer and Charlie as the portal closes.
Nyx and God arrived back to the courthouse that has become a meeting room, The Archangels and a few important Angels were here alongside Sera and Emily. Lute was here, probably to tell her off.
"So, you're wondering why we're here, right?" God asked.
"Yes, sir, I am wondering why we're here." Sera said.
"I'm here to ask why you allowed Adam and Lute to kill millions every 6 months per year?" God asked. Sera and Lute gulped.
"I don't know father, since you're always busy and it'll solve the- overpopulation issue and I thought it was a good ide-" Sera said.
"No, you don't just decide execution on human souls. We're Heaven. This is something I'd expect from Azraeal since he's Angel of Death and well the Head of Death in Heaven. But still, he didn't decide to do this and you have no excuse. This ends now. In fact Charlie's idea seems like a pretty nice way to help redeem sinners, I'm alway the forgiving type and it's nice to see Sinners repent after they die. If I catch any of you doing that Extermination bullshit I won't hesitate to punish you, understood?" God asked.
"Yes..." They all said.
"Nyx you can go back now." God said. Nyx nodded summoning a portal back to the Hotel and she was rushed into Hugs.
"Nyx your back! What did God say?" Charlie asked. Nyx smiled and went teary-eyed.
"We won, he accepted your idea for Redemption." Nyx said. Charlie teared up and hugged Nyx, Lucifer lets out a soft smile from the outside window looking in the Hotel before looking up to the sky.
"Thanks Dad."
Meanwhile with the Vees, Vox was searching all over for Viv. "Hey, Valentino?" Vox called.
"Yeah?" Valentino called back.
"Have you seen Viv? I seemed to have misplaced her." Vox said.
"How the fuck do you misplace a living being?" Valentino poked his head out from the kitchen mixing a bowl of what seemed to be cake mix.
"I don't know! How the fuck am I supposed to answer that?! Have you seen her?" Vox asked.
