"Alright it's March meaning Spring meaning all the hibernating aninals are waking up, right. I hope your ranger friends are being careful like bears waking up." Beth heard Stripes saying. It was March and she and Beth were in the forest checking on things like the hibernating animals. "They'll be okay and bet you'll have the pkeasure of wakihg yohr boy up which should be hilarious. I hope he doesn't get cranky hehe." Beth told her making her furry cheeks go pink at this which maxe Beth laugh.
"I should go check on him, before you ring that bell. Melissa and Ralph are probably helping with that." the female-kit said scampering off making sure the coast was clear or her mom's felliw forest rangers didn't see her despite knowing Beth had adopted her not wanting to show the magic of the forest taking deep-breaths barely avouding a forest-ranger heading to Melissa and Ralph's tree house seeing a tired Melissa and she smiled guessing the female-kit was checking on them knowing Spring was here making coffee.
"Is Bert okay, or waking up in case my mom starts ringing that wake up bell of hers." Stripes told her seeing Ralph there rubbing sleep from his eyes with his paw sitting down at the table accepting coffee hearing footsteps seeing Hert with messy fur in pyjamas surprised Stripes was here. "Happy Spring buddy as I was thinking about you all Winter plus wanted to wake you before my mom or the other forest rangers with those bells. Mom was right, you are a bit tired." she told him.
"It's just when you hibernate all Winter long then wake up in Spring, it's a lil hard to wake up. But it's okay and appreciate you checking on us." he told her yawning which she got since her instincts including the instinct to hibernate turned off because she was more aroubd humans like her mom and humans didn't hibernate during Winter and woje up in Spring like her peers being quiet which they got.
"I'm just gonna let you guyswake up a bit, before we start planning adventures." she said leaving making Melissa and Ralph exchange a look seeing Beet not understanding what had made Stripes quiet thinking something was wrong seeing them shake their furry heads. "Because she has a human mom and more around humans, she feels different because she doesn't hibernate but it's okay. We should give her space." Ralph explained to him.
"Ohhhhhh but that's okay, her being different from the other kits is good. Somebody should tell her this." Beet said sipping tea eating toast with peanut butter amusing them. After getting dressed in his signature attire, he was leaving the house going to find Stripes hearing other raccoon-kits goofing aroubd getting pent up energy from hibernating out avoiding them, as sone of them made fun of him. "Hey PB where're you going." one of them said but he itnored them like Melissa and Ralph had told him.
He hoped Stripes was okay, finding her sitting on the porch of her mom's house just thinking pkus hearingvthe other kits yelling and being rowdy surprised Bert was here. "I was worried when you left as it's okay you don't hibernate or that you're different." he said hearing snickers making him annoyed seeing some of the other kits there.
"Who's this, PB, we've never seen her before." one said.
"This is Stripes, Stripes these are some of the other kits in the forest." Bert told her making one of the female-kits realise who she was. "You're the kit that's always with that Forest-ranger that's waking everybody up. You're just as weird as PB." she said as they scampered off relueving Bert and Stripes.
"What was that about gugs, was Stripes making friends." Beth asked them.
"Nope they think I'm weird plus they called Bert PB but why." Stripes to,d her making Bert sigh. "Because I bring PB and J for lunch everyday at school and they saw. Don't mind them they're jerks." he told hermaking Beth curious there was wchool in theforest seeing Stripes shrug.
"Is Stripes okay, and you probably talked to her right." Ralph asked seeing Bert nodding. It was later and he'd gotten back from being with Stripes but knew she'd be okay. "Yeah she's okay but we had a runin with certain kits who also woke up from hibernation." Bert replied to him.
"Pkease tell us you goth didn't get in a fight." Melissa said seeing him shake his head. "Nope we just ignored them pkus they ran off after meeting Stripes." he replied to them relieving them.
