AN: Hey guys.

A bit of relationship building in this chapter. Getting to know a bit more about a certain French girl.

As well as a fight against some idiots.

Chapter 16

Harry walked out of his bedroom after taking a shower and made his way down the stairs to the first floor of the tent. He was pretty excited to watch the world cup final later.

Harry could finally understand why Amelia Bones once made a comment about the obliviators being the most well paid employees of the ministry. It was a little surprising how out of touch with muggle society most magicals were. The entire camp was filled with fans from all over the world, as well as massive violations of the statute of secrecy.

Magical fireworks, thousands of pets that were clearly magical, from mostly explainable, if a little exotic owls, to phoenixes, Harry even saw a Cerberus earlier in the day, and it wasn't fluffy. If that wasn't enough, the tents certainly were. Sure, some had common looking tents that wouldn't be out of place in a muggle setting, but most tents were extravagant and clearly magical. Harry saw a tent earlier that belonged to a Russian wizard, and he was certain that tent caused most of the obliviations of the poor campground owner. The tent was basically a castle, it even had towers. Not that he could say much about it, considering the tent that Sirius bought for them.

Sirius' tent had two floors, an actual balcony and a couple of chimneys, and that was just from the outside. Inside the tent the expansion charms made the obscenely large tent even larger, instead of two, there were four floors, over ten bedrooms, and even had a ballroom. Sure, it was comfortable, but that kind of blatant display of magic was also a little annoying. They had so much trouble opening a business in muggle society without the ICW making issues with the statute of secrecy, but here were the magicals blatantly violating it for a game of quidditch.

Hermione was fascinated by the charms in the tent, and made comments about researching expansion charms sometime in the future. While the others watched the games, she spent most of her time reading books, she only agreed to come because she wanted to spend time with Harry, and her dad wanted to see a magical game being played. She had already read a book on expansion charms, and discovered that they were actually closely related to the shrinking charm, reducio. They were both examples of dimensional magic, something that also included apparition and portkeys.

After the ball, and the extremely successful debut of the magical TVs, the group decided to meet and sort things out for the next year of research. It was something that the portrait of Harry's mum suggested, that they should all choose a major project to work on, and focus most of their time on it, only helping the others every once in a while. Before that, they jumped between projects all the time, abandoning their own projects for some time and helping each other whenever they wanted. It seemed like a good idea to focus on a specific area of research and only help the others when they actually had an idea that could help with it.

They decided to each take a major project for themselves, and one major project for the entire group, something magical that only they could do and the scientists of EE research division couldn't help them. In the end, Harry ended up deciding to work a little more on material sciences, using alchemy to synthesize new materials, and maybe start working on a transfiguration or runic based alternative, something that Hermione had theorized since the start of the last school year, but they still hadn't made any progress.

Hermione decided to work on physics, and how they interacted with magic. Discovering more about magic's presence in the EM spectrum, and maybe work on that weird not-quite radiation that every magic based laser produced. Padma took a liking to Catherine, their computer science expert, so she decided to work on computers. She would be trying to improve on the fabricator they had made, as well as trying to make a magic based computer. Her first idea was to use lasers to simulate binary systems, and it seemed like it would work, but it probably would end up with a massive computer like the ones the muggles used in the early fifties.

Hannah decided to keep working on astrophysics. She, and surprisingly Ron, really liked when the group went to Hermione's house to see Star Wars, and she decided she wanted to learn about real space travel. Astrophysics was a good grounding for it, even if she would need to learn a lot more if she wanted to truly understand space exploration. Hannah would probably be the one that would be working on the RoR, trying to ask it for a working millennium falcon. It would be difficult since one has to truly understand what they are asking for the room to make it, Harry was still to this day surprised that Lee actually managed to ask for a working Iron Man armour.

Luna was finally making some progress in her own research. She was learning a lot from the geneticist they hired for EE's think tank, and while she was still a little excited to work on animal DNA, she seemed to take their warnings a little more seriously now that she knew more about what she wanted to do. Learning about the dangers of genetic modification was enough to make Luna a little more careful. She might be a little weird, but she was a good girl, with a heart of gold. She didn't want to cause a Jurassic Park event, even if the glint in her eyes that Harry saw when they watched the movie told him that she would definitely try to make dinosaurs.

Sue Li decided to work on consumer electronics, as well as magical versions of them. She took the lead on the magical side of their cell phone- computer project, something they were calling smartphone. The phones couldn't have any magic in them, or else they wouldn't be able to sell them to the muggles, but magic could still be used in the manufacturing process. Their entire mini-factory was working now, and just like Samantha said, they were able to produce microelectronics in the 65nm range, including processors. Catherine was now working with a couple of engineers on both new computer hardware, and their smartphone project, and Sue was helping them with the manufacturing. They were also working on a flat screen TV that seemed a decade ahead of anything in the consumer market, if they focused on it, they could probably have it ready by the end of the year.

Penelope decided that she would focus on a purely magical project, trying to replace their runic arrays with the Latin alphabet. It was something that would be extremely difficult, but it could be possible. It is something she learned in NEWT level ancient runes, runes can only be used in magic because the ancient magicals infused magic in the alphabets with supposedly lost rituals, and if something like that was done in the past, it could be done again. Penny would try to find out if the RoR had anything on the rituals used to do it, and if it didn't, she would try to recreate them. If she managed to do it, it would end up opening a lot of research for them. They were constantly trying to work with incomplete alphabets, trying to do things with runes that they had no word to describe, if they could use English or even Latin as the language of the runes, it would change everything for them and make their research a lot easier to do.

Parvati decided to join their group full time, but she would be still researching more divination since it was something she liked doing. Hermione tried to make her work on more science based research, but she was firmly outvoted by the rest of the group, and even Harry voted against his girlfriend. Divination had more than proved its worth, most of what they used for their new magical TVs came from divination magic, from the scrying charm on the mirrors, to the modified prophecy orbs they used for recordings.

Ginny, Megan and Ron were still working on everything that flies, from improving brooms and carpets on the magical side, to airplanes and airships on the non-magical side. Ginny and Megan were working with David on jet engines for electrical planes, while Ron was going to keep working on brooms. All four of them would also add research on gravity runes to their workload. It was an area of research that Harry also wanted to work on, but probably wouldn't have the time. The idea was to modify the gravity flipping runes that the Egyptians used on their tombs, Hermione had a theory that those runes could be used as an anti-gravity device, possibly for use in spaceships.

Harry reached the bottom of the stairs walked towards the room where he knew the others were gathered. Walking inside the room, he saw the large group of people gathered there. On one side of the room, in a group of chairs around a low table was Sirius, with his new girlfriend Gwenog Jones sat on his lap, Ron, Megan, Ginny and Charlie Weasley, Harry imagined that a group like that was probably talking about quidditch. Gwen was looking a bit down, probably still annoyed about the loss Wales suffered earlier in the competition, she was the captain after all.

Another side of the room was occupied by a group consisting of, Andromeda and Ted, Celestine and Cyrus Greengrass, Jean-Paul and Apolline Delacour, and Augusta Longbottom. That group was probably talking business, or something related to politics.

Another group was seated around the same place as when Harry left the room to take a shower, and this one was the group that interested him the most. Hermione, Padma, Nym, Daphne, Luna and Fleur, and it appeared that they were also joined by Hannah and Neville since Harry left.

Harry had to leave earlier and take a cold shower because of... biological issues. Being the only bloke around six girls, the conversation ended up becoming a game of 'who can tease Harry the most'. Harry thought that Hermione would have problems with the girls doing that to him, but she was the one pushing the girls to tease him more. He thought that Hermione could be testing him, or maybe she was just enjoying watching the girls being seductive, they still hadn't talked about his recent discovery of the fact that Hermione also likes girls.

But apart from the merciless teasing the girls subjected him to, he did have a good time. He learned a bit about Fleur, and the French girl seemed just as smart as many of his friends. She didn't know much about the non-magical society, so they didn't talk much about their research, but she seemed to pick up quickly when they did talk about it, and even gave a few ideas of how to use runes and enchantments in ways they hadn't used before.

There were a few people missing compared to the last time Harry was in the room. Arthur, Molly, Fred, George and Bill Weasley, Susan and Amelia Bones, Astoria Greengrass and Gabrielle Delacour, they probably left so the younger girls could play in another room, this room was getting pretty crowded.

Harry walked towards his previous seat, and Hermione smiled when she saw him approach them.

"Had a nice shower?" Hermione asked in a teasing tone, drawing laughs of the original six and confused looks from Neville and Hannah.

"It would be better if you joined me." Harry responded, trying to turn the teasing back on her, and was rewarded by a blushing Hermione drawing laughs from the others. They haven't gone that far in their relationship yet, but Harry was a little tired of being the one being teased by the girls, so he had no problem implying it.

"Really 'arry, you only thought about 'ermione?" Fleur asked in her alluring French accent, which Harry was pretty sure was somewhat forced. She had said a few words with and without the accent a few times, so it seemed the girl was intentionally using her accent because she knew the others found it sexy. No one had commented on it, and Harry wasn't going to be the first one to do it.

"Of course, Fleur. Hermione is the most beautiful girl in the world, no one can match her in looks or personality." Harry said, and smirked a little when he saw Hermione blushing even more.

"Are you sure no one can match her, wonder boy?" Nym asked, and then she morphed, her hair becoming brown and bushy, chocolate colored eyes and a cute nose, she looked like an older version of Hermione.

"Yes, I'm sure." Harry responded, taking a seat on the only empty chair left. "I don't think you can stay locked inside a library for twelve hours, She-who-must-not-be-named. So you don't match Hermione in personality."

"How many times do I have to tell you to call me Tonks?" She asked, while Hermione rose from her chair and sat on Harry's lap, giving him a kiss and them whispering in his ear. "You're the best boyfriend in the world."

"Until you let me call you Nym or Dora, I'm not calling you by your last name." Harry responded, smirking a little at the annoyed look on Nym's face. He then put an arm around Hermione's waist and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"I think Nymph is a good name." Fleur said, giving the older girl a flirty smirk.

"I'll show you a nymph." Nym said, making a rude gesture towards the French girl.

"Then we should go to my family tent, it is empty right now so you can show me anything you want." Fleur responded, her smirk somehow becoming even flirtier. And the French girl actually manages to make Nym blush a little, which according to the metamorph herself, is almost impossible to do to someone with her powers.

"What is happening?" Neville asked. The confused look and the blush on his face was mirrored by Hannah.

"Don't worry, Neville, I don't think Hannah sees Harry that way, so she won't be helping us insulate Harry against the nargles." Luna responded, looking at Harry with a faraway look on her eyes.

"What's a nargle? And how does one insulates against it?" Daphne asked, genuinely confused. She didn't spend that much time around Luna, so she probably hasn't heard about the many creatures Luna is always talking about.

"A nargle makes your thoughts go fuzzy, and you insulate against it with a kiss. So we can all kiss Harry and help him drive away the nargles." Luna responded, and Harry would've laugh at the mortified look on Daphne's face if he wasn't hiding his face in Hermione's hair, Nym and Fleur batting their eyelashes at him making him blush almost from head to toe.

"Look at her face, I don't think the pervert would mind it too much." Harry heard Nym say, and Hermione almost jumped out of Harry's lap.

"Stop calling me a pervert, She-who-must-not-be-named." Hermione said, but she sounded a little embarrassed.

"Don't start copying your boyfriend, my name is Tonks." Nym said, making the others laugh a little bit.

"So, Fleur. Tell us more about your school." Padma said, trying to move the conversation away from all the teasing.

"Beauxbatons is located in the pyrénées-orientales, and we can see the gulf of Lion from the upper floors of the Château, so it isn't as cold as anywhere here in Britain." Fleur said, her accent getting a little heavier because of the French words she said. "We can visit the sea every weekend, so swimsuits are a part of our uniforms. We also have beautiful gardens in the grounds, where the students spend a lot of time on."

"Sounds beautiful, and a lot less cold than Hogwarts." Padma said, visibly excited about a school where she wouldn't freeze to death if she went outside during half of the school year.

"It is." Fleur added simply.

"What about the classes? Or the library?" Hermione asked, making Harry and a few others roll their eyes. Hermione would always be a bookworm.

"We have a few different classes compared to 'ogwarts. Alchemy is a core class, because the Flamels were the founders of Beauxbatons. We also have a ritualistic magic class, and our defence against the dark arts class is separated into two, creatures and battle magic, which has a few spells that you probably learn in charms or transfiguration class." Fleur explained, earning a few nods from Daphne, Padma and Hermione, as well as comments about how interesting it would be to have two different defence classes. Harry, on the other hand, was a lot more interested in alchemy as a core subject.

"I've been learning a lot about alchemy since last year. I would really like to take a few classes in it, but Hogwarts doesn't have alchemy classes, at least, not for our year group." Harry said, finally taking his face out of Hermione's hair. He wasn't embarrassed anymore, he just really liked her hair.

"That's true, Harry even invented a few new things using transmutation; A crystal that can make a muggle laser using a lumos charm, and a new metallic alloy." Hermione said, her voice filled with pride, which made Harry feel really good, it was nice knowing that Hermione had a good opinion of his intelligence. His girlfriend was the smartest person he knew, and he wanted to be worthy of her in every way, and that included intelligence.

"Maybe we can work together? I take alchemy classes, and while I'm not the best at it, I'm still good enough to work transmutations." Fleur said, and then she gave him a flirty smirk and added. "I'm sure 'ermione would love to join us, we could work together, just the three of us alone in the same room."

Hermione sputtered a little, trying to deny Fleur's thinly veiled suggestions, while the others laughed, Nym being the loudest and Daphne only letting out a little sniggering. Harry groaned a little, hiding his face in Hermione's hair again. Hermione's attraction to Fleur was clear to anyone, he didn't need the French girl actually flirting with his girlfriend. He really needed to have that talk with Hermione, to find out if this could affect their relationship. He didn't know enough about relationships, and most of what he did know, was the things Sirius told him since the former prisoner was cleared of any wrongdoing, so that wasn't good advice, but he also did get a little bit of advice from his mum's portrait. She told him that Hermione was a lot like her, so Harry should always try to talk with his girlfriend in a clear, logical way.

"I heard that Beauxbatons has beautiful gardens. How good are the Herbology lessons there?" Neville asked, and Harry took his face out of Hermione's hair, nodding towards his friend and thanking him for moving the conversation away from the previous topic.

"I 'aven't taken 'erbology for a few years now, but I remember the professor saying that the soil was amazing, because of a few volcanic properties in it, not as much as the Spanish side of the pyrénées, but enough to make our soil a little better for some plants." Fleur responded, her accent again becoming a little heavier.

"I would love to work with volcanic soil." Neville said, and Harry could hear the hunger in his voice. His friend really loved working with plants.

"I'm not going to be the only one sharing information. So tell me a little bit about yourselves." Fleur said, making everyone look at the others, as if asking, who's going to be the first one? And then they all laughed when they realized what they were doing.

"Well, between the five of us, we have the top students of our year in all but one of Hogwarts classes." Padma started, pointing towards herself, Daphne, Neville, Hermione and Harry. "Neville is the best when it comes to Herbology, and Harry is the undisputed king of defence. Daphne has taken the top spot in potions since our first year, but that is mostly because the professor is biased towards slytherin." Daphne nodded her head in agreement. She was good at potions, but Hermione was just as good, and would probably take top spot a few times if it wasn't for Snape's bias.

"In charms, it is an out and out war between me and Hermione, with Harry taking the top spot every once in a while. Transfiguration is an easy win for Hermione, no one comes even close. I usually take the top spot in astrology, with Hermione and my sister taking it from me some times, and Harry and Hermione trade the top spot in creatures." Padma added, and Fleur actually seemed interested, surprising Harry a little bit. He didn't think that the French girl would be so interested in the top of the Hogwarts academics board.

"I usually take the top in runes, with Padma sometimes surpassing me, but I think Daphne could be in the dispute as well, if she had the same amount of extra studies in runes that we have." Hermione took over from Padma, after the Indian girl took a moment to drink something. "And arithmancy is usually a battle between me, Padma and Daphne."

"With my sister, Parvati, taking the top spot in divination." Padma finished after taking her drink.

"And no one cares about muggle studies. It is even worse than divination." Surprisingly it was Hannah that added it, Harry would have expected Hermione to do it, since she actually took the class for a time.

"It certainly seems like you all took the top spots." Fleur said, giving them a smile, her smile becoming visibly flirtier when she looked at Harry and Hermione, which made Harry's girlfriend start blushing again. "Why did you say you studied more runes, 'ermione?" She asked.

That question started the flood of information Fleur received, as they explained their research. The fact that they were trying to combine muggle science with magic, and how they already had a few successes in it; How the idea came from a journal that belonged to Harry's mum, and how he and Hermione decided to invite others into their research. They explained a few of the experiments they did, and how they were able to build both magical and non-magical products with it. They then explained how they set up both Marauders Inc. and EE, so they could sell their products, and the muggle scientists they hired using EE, scientists that were already helping them advance their research immensely. They even talked about a few of the more recent events, how Harry found the portraits of his parents, and how one of his mum's portraits had been place in the research centre, so she could be involved in the research. They also talked about the latest experiment, which was conducted by Luna and their geneticist Dr. Lehmann. They made a blood transfusion from a magical owl to a non-magical one, and they found a few interesting things. Like the fact that the non-magical owl ended up recovering from a few scratches, and when they did a more in-depth analysis, they learned that the owl's physiology had changed. Everything indicated that the owl was only a few months old, when it in fact was over three years old, which made some sense, since magical owls live longer than non-magical ones, but they still hadn't found out how the magic in the blood was rejuvenating the owl.

By the time they had to leave for the game, Fleur seemed really impressed with everything they were able to achieve. She even asked to help with a few projects, if she had the time this coming school year. When Harry asked how she could help them, with her school being in France, she just smiled a little mysteriously and said he would see. After that, they all prepared to see what promised to be a good final game to the quidditch world cup.

X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X

"Harry, go to the portkey point, and don't look back." Sirius said and then walked out of the tent. The explosions outside got even louder when the tent flap opened.

Harry walked quickly towards Hermione, taking her hand on his, while his other hand held his wand. He wanted to make sure Hermione was with him while they walked towards the portkey point, they had always been together for all the dangerous things they did, even during second year while she was petrified Hermione was still there with him in spirit, she was the one that discovered the monster was a basilisk.

Gwenog was talking about something, but Harry wasn't paying attention, he was looking at the others and seeing the faces of his friends, some determined and some scared. It was lucky that so many were in their tent at the moment, everyone had left for their own tents after the game, but Sirius tent still held quite a few of his friends, since Sirius had invited them.

Gwenog was Sirius girlfriend, so she was there with her sisters, Hestia and Megan, although Hestia had left to help as soon as the fighting started. Andromeda, Ted and Nym were also staying in the tent, but those three had also left to join the fight. The Greengrasses were also in the tent because they accepted Sirius' invitation after the game, and both Cyrus and Celestine stayed with them. Remus had also joined them, coming from wherever he was before the game started, but he also left to fight. Amelia Bones was the one that told them there was fighting going on, when she left Susan and Hannah with them so she could go help her aurors. And finally, Neville and his grandmother were also in the tent with them.

So that left them with four adults to help them fight if anything happened, Gwenog, Cyrus, Celestine and Augusta. For a group of children consisting of, Harry, Hermione, Daphne, Astoria, Megan, Susan, Hannah and Neville. They would probably be joined by a few others as soon as they left the tent, since the Weasleys had set up their tent side by side with Sirius'.

"Now, children. I heard enough about a few of you to know you're not going to leave if a fight starts. So if one does starts, stay behind cover." Augusta Longbottom said in a serious tone, looking at Harry, Hermione and Susan as she did so. The fact that she was so easily discounting her grandson annoyed Harry a little bit, he still remembered first year, and how Neville stood up to them. He fully believed that his friend would stand with them in a fight.

"Jones, you're with me in the front. Cyrus and Celestine will watch our backs, and the children will go in the middle." Augusta explained the quick plan.

It made sense to Harry, both the plan, and the fact that Augusta Longbottom was the one to take charge in this situation. From the little bits that Daphne had told him about her parents, he knew that Cyrus Greengrass was a good duellist, but Augusta was older, and famous for defeating four death eaters alone, one of them being Bellatrix Lestrange, the most dangerous fighter Voldemort had. Since Amelia had said that the there were reports of death eaters, Augusta would be the best one to take charge and make a plan.

They all nodded and then got into position, Harry still held Hermione's hand while they walked out of the tent, and Daphne was on Harry's other side. Astoria and Megan were in the middle of their formation, being the two most vulnerable in a fight, and Neville, Susan and Hannah were at the back with Cyrus and Celestine behind them.

They were joined by the Weasley group right outside the tent. The group consisted of all the Weasleys plus Luna and surprisingly Penelope Clearwater. Arthur just nodded his head towards Madam Longbottom when he saw them, and then started to give orders.

"Children, in the middle. Bill in the back, Charlie in the front, Percy, you're with me on the right, and Molly, you take Penelope to the left."

The Weasley parents easily slotted into the formation, guiding the others to their positions. Ron immediately walked towards Harry and Hermione, standing on the other side of Hermione, since his usual position on Harry's other side was held by Daphne at the moment. Both Luna and Ginny also stayed close to Harry, but the twins went on the back, looking more serious than Harry had ever seen them.

"I'm guessing Frank told you about this formation, Madam Longbottom?" Arthur asked, as they walked towards the portkey point.

"Yes, he did. I remember him telling me about Dumbledore's little bird club using this formation sometimes, I thought it would make it easier for you and your wife to fall into old patterns, so I chose to use it." Madam Longbottom responded.

Harry was a little confused about the bird club comment, but his parent's portraits did tell him a little about some group that they used to be a part of, one that was led by the headmaster and fought against Voldemort, so he thought that it might be it.

They walked towards the portkey point on the other side of the woods near the campground, but just when they were reaching the clearing in the woods that held the portkey point, and Harry started to think they wouldn't have any troubles, he saw madam Longbottom raise a shield and a purple spell crashed against it.

"Children, take cover in the trees. Back line, stay behind to take care of the children." Arthur Weasley instructed, because madam Longbottom was already busy tossing spells at the attackers and confidently walking forward.

Everyone moved, the front line and the sides taking the battle to the death eaters, while the others found a place close to the tree line to take cover. Harry, Hermione and Ron were all sharing a couple of large trees that were close together right at the front of the tree line. Harry could see the battle raging on the clearing, no one was vocalizing the spell but Harry could still recognize a few of them, and he realized that only Percy and Penny were throwing incapacitating spells, the others were all casting lethal ones. A few bombardas and reductos coming from Bill, Arthur and Mrs. Weasley, but madam Longbottom was throwing some extremely lethal curses judging by the only two that Harry recognized, the blood boiling and the bone breaker.

A bombarda landed on a tree to Harry's left, making it explode. Harry quickly put up a protego so they didn't end up injured from the splinters, but the shield ended up giving their position away and Harry saw a purple spell coming towards them. Hermione was quicker than him this time, levitating a rock from the ground and intercepting the spell with it.

No other spell came towards them, so Harry turned his attention back to the fight. Madam Longbottom was hammering the death eaters with a bunch of curses that Harry didn't know, all of them lethal. Her age meant that she couldn't dodge, so she was focusing on overwhelming force, casting spells with a speed and strength that impressed Harry.

Charlie and Gwen were fighting side by side, keeping a couple of death eaters busy. Gwen was focused on defence, shielding Charlie while he kept hammering the death eaters with extremely strong spells. Those spells were probably meant to combat enraged dragons, so the death eaters were having some difficulty.

Mr. Weasley and Percy were also doing good, keeping another two death eaters busy. Percy had a lot of rocks and tree branches moving around him in a whirlwind, every time a spell got close to him or his father, he would move something to intercept it.

But Mrs. Weasley and Penny were getting pushed hard, losing ground and almost being pressed against the tree line. It seemed the problem with them was that they were lacking firepower. Both seemed pretty good in defence, but they didn't have any good, strong attack spells. Mrs. Weasley was trying with a few bombardas and reductos, but the spells didn't seem to have enough power to do any damage to the enemies.

Harry saw a flash of green light appear on his peripheral vision, coming from the side that Percy and Mr. Weasley were battling and moving towards Penny. She wasn't looking at it, and the curse seemed like it would hit her on the side. The curse awoke something inside Harry, so he moved without thinking, floating a rock to intercept the curse and walking into the clearing.

Harry cast a stupefy at one of the death eaters on the left, but he defended it with a protego, the man looked towards Harry and then screamed 'avada kedavra'. Harry floated another rock to defend himself, and when the killing curse was intercepted, he started attacking again, this time not holding back anything. Both Sirius and his parent's portraits had said that if anyone attacked him with lethal force, he should respond with lethal force as well, so Harry started throwing the most destructive spells he knew, exploding, bone breaking, and blood boiling curses, cutting and freezing charms. But the one he ended up scoring a hit was a levitation charm, which he used to float a tree branch and hit a guy on the back of the head with it.

Spells started coming from behind him and he briefly looked back, seeing the others walk out of the trees, throwing spells at the death eaters. Most of his friends were casting expelliarmus and stupefy, only Daphne was matching him in lethality, using the same spells as Harry was. The adults were also casting some pretty damaging curses, Harry couldn't even recognize any of the spells Bill was using, probably something he found in some old, forgotten tomb in Egypt.

The death eaters weren't expecting some many spells going their way, even if most of them were harmless, they were still outnumbered, so when four death eaters went down in only a couple of seconds, one to Ron's stupefy, two to a couple of bone breakers from madam Longbottom, and the other one to a cutting curse to the wand hand, courtesy of Daphne, the rest of them started to portkey out.

Another two death eaters were hit as they tried to portkey out, one by a stupefy from Hermione, and Harry managed to hit another one with a cutting curse on the arm, severing it right at the elbow. From the ten death eaters that started the attack, only five managed to flee, one of the ones hit by the bone breakers, and the one Daphne hit with the cutting curse managing to activate their portkeys, despite their injuries.

Harry heard the pops of apparition and saw the clearing fill with people. He recognized three of them as Sirius, Madam Bones and Nym, and he knew he was going to get yelled at for joining the fight, but he didn't care, he just walked towards Hermione, giving her a hug and a kiss, just being happy that all of their friends survived.

AN 2:I hope the fight scene was a good one.
