The sounds of the battle reververated throw the castle. Albus crossed some isolated fights in the castle, but the had a bigger battle ahead. It was surely all a cover for Tom to infiltrate the castle and take control of the school. He reached the doors of the castle, closing them as he stepped outside, the fights for now where inside just between the students. Albus knew enough of the DA that he was sure they would be defending the rest of the students from the Slytherin students that were following Riddle.
The night wasn't extremely cold, the moon, full just a couple of nights before, shined in the sky between some clouds casting it's silver rays to the court. Albus avanced, feeling Hogwarts' wards failing under Riddle's attack, with a loud bang the outer defences of the school crashed, allowing Death Eater to enter the grounds of the school. The battle that would define the future of the wizard world began.
Albus called the Order of the Phoenix members and proceded to engage in a battle with the dark wizard that had appeared in front of him. Soon both wizards were engaged in a fury battle, the lights of their spells illuminating the grounds of the school, the land around the shacking with the force of the spells and soon was covered in holes when the most destructives curses had hit. The intensity of the battle was soon felt by Albus, who had already fight against Severus, the old wizard feeling every year of his age. He knew that the battle would most likely won't end like the previous one, he was sure that for good or bad this would be his last battle, Albus just hoped that if he didn't took the man with him to the next adventure he would leave Riddle enough weak for someone else to destroy.
Order members appearead to battle the Death Eater that had arrived before them and were trying to enter the school. While the battle activated in the external walls of the castle, and the students fighted in the corridors, Albus continued pushing Riddle out of the school ground.
He tried to focus on his battle, trusting the DA and the Order to defend themselves and the rest of the students, and he was sure that that certain group of vigilantes would soon join the defences, if they hadn't already. Sweat gathered in his forehead, Albus knew that he was pushing his limits and soon would fall in battle due to magical exhaustion. He knew that his next couple of spells would be the last, and he had to made sure to pick the right ones. First he thew a miriad of low intensity spells, to act as a distraction for the spells that he wanted to hit the dark wizard. After that, a very obscure curse, that made sure that Riddle couldn't escape death the next time. The next one was a debilitating curse that would very slowly decline the health of Riddle and was totally irreversible, but it had the downside that the caster sufered a quicklier version.
Soon the greatest wizard of the century, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, colapsed on the dirty earth, took a ragged breath and peacefully passed to his next great adventure, knowing that Tom Riddle wouldn't take much longer to follow him.
The Dark Lord cruel laught resonated through the grounds and inside the castle corridors, making his followers fight with renewed strenght. Death Eaters used darker curses, mostly limiting themselves with just the most terrible of them, they believed themselves to be in the winner side and they didn't need to contain themselves anymore. And slowly they took steeps towards the castle.
Inside the walls of the school, between ancient wall, a furious battle was ragining between the students. While the Order had feel discourage by the death of their leader, the DA members hadn't reciced the news yet, and the sound of Voldemort laught just encouraged them more. For each step that the Death Eaters took closer to the castle, their members still studing took a step towards the exit. It wouldn't took much loong for the groups of fighters meet. The DA members just hoped that the Revenge of the Phoenix would arrive soon to help, because while they might handle a bunch of seventh year junior Death Eaters they wouldn't be strong enough to hand the senior ones.
When most of the fights had moved to the outside of the castle, the Revenge of the Phoenix made theit present felt. A new batch of letal and incapacitating pranking toys arrived to the hands of the DA members, to the fear of not only junior Death Eaters, but some of the senior too. The Weasley twins' inventions were infamous between both sides. Mrs and Mr Weasleys had appeared too, with the Tonks and Grangers. While Mrs Weasley when to the enfermary to help Pronfrey preparing to treat the wounded, Ted Tonks went to gather the younger students to take them away of the fight. Remus for his part took a very special piece of partchment and looked for fight between the corridors, ir would help with evacuation and retrieve the wounded, which was Arthur part. All of them were armed not only with wands but modified guns too, both to kill and to incapacitate, in case of trouble the Death Eater wouldn't get up again. The Grangers took their positions, Ian in the astronomy tower with his long distance riffle ready, and Helen took fly in Harry's Firebolt, zipping inthe sky with magical night vision googles and shooting anybody that was dreased as Death Eater and shooting dark curses.
Andromeda went by foot, and she was the only on of their groun without a gun, hjought she had plenty of explosives in her person. If anything else were to fail she would explote everything arround, it would kill her and everyone outside the walls or at great high but she would make sure to take with her as much Death Eaters as posible, Bellatrix and Voldemort included. But that wasn't the plan A or B, not even in the C, after all she wanted to kill her sister in a more personal way, in a magical battle. She found her quickly next to the monster that she kissed the ground, they were a couple made in hell. Thet noticed her to and the battle began.
Two against one wasn't always fair, but when on of the two had been cursed with a debilitating curse and had already fight a battle, things weren't so one sized. And Andromeda wasn't enterely alone, she had in his side the precision riffles of Helen and Ian. The sounds of guns filled the air, between the destruction that the magical battle was causing. Dark spells flew from three wands, while their casters danced between letal pulses of pain and metal bullets of death.
Andromeda got in a good position, having corner her sister between her and Voldemort. The Dark Lord used a really nasty curse that hit Bellatrix, the witch met her end between purple flames of pain and death. That only made Voldemort angrier, losing his most faithful follower was a great lose. He cast the Cruciatus Curse at Andromeda, but it was short lived, as it ended as soon as started. The dark wizard jad been so focused in avenging his follower that had lost focus on the rest of the world, that moment had been enough for two bullets to pierce the most feared wizard of the century. One in the chest, were the heart usually beats, and one in the head, exactly between his eyes, the work of Helen and Ian.
Everyone was able to see the figure of Death appearing on Hogwarts' grounds, onmiusly iluminated by the moon, retreaving the bodies of Voldermort, Bellatrix and other dead Death Eathers, piling them and making them disapear with a snap of his fingers. Then he went to the bodies of anyone that had perised of the other side, students, DA members and Order members, all geting up, their wounds closing and looking full and alive again. It left Albus Dumbledore till the end, and when the old wizard got from the ground he hugged Death as if he was an old friend.
A strange fog appeared in front of the door of the school grounds. Together the group of dead people and Death left the castle together, waving a last goodbye to those that had survive the fight. The fog covered them, and when it dissapeared again Hogwarts' grounds were only covered in the destruction of the battle and the surviving fighters.
