Barry Allen's heart pounded in his chest, his breath ragged as he dodged another lightning-fast blow from Zoom.

The Blue blur of his adversary seemed omnipresent, a chilling reminder of his own limitations.

For all his speed, Barry couldn't seem to gain the upper hand against this relentless foe.

"Barry, you need to keep moving!" Cisco's voice crackled in his ear, the urgency palpable.

But Barry was already pushing himself to the limit, his muscles straining against the relentless assault.

Each punch felt like a sledgehammer against his defenses, each dodge a near miss from death.

Zoom grinned, a twisted mockery of amusement dancing in his eyes. "You can't run forever, Barry. Eventually, everyone meets their end."

Barry gritted his teeth, his resolve steeling against the despair threatening to overwhelm him.

He couldn't afford to lose focus, not now, not when the lives of everyone he cared about hung in the balance.

As if sensing his desperation, Zoom's attacks grew fiercer, more calculated. And then, with a sickening realization, Barry saw it – the glint of metal in Zoom's hand.

Before he could react, before he could even register what was happening, the makeshift explosive detonated with a deafening roar.

Shrapnel filled the air like deadly confetti, tearing through flesh and bone with indiscriminate precision.

Pain exploded in Barry's chest as he was thrown backward with Shrapnel launching into Barry's chest and leg

shattering his L4 Vertebrae as he smacked into the wall of CC Jitters , the world spinning in a nauseating blur.

He tried to summon the strength to move, to fight back, but his body felt like lead.. Heavy in fact ... , every muscle screaming in protest.

And then, as if from a nightmare within a nightmare, Zoom blurred into motion once more. This time, he didn't target Barry – he targeted those Barry held most dear.

Iris, Joe, his father – they were all helpless being pulled from the now damaged STAR LABS , their eyes wide with shock and terror as Zoom closed in.

Barry's heart shattered as he watched, his every instinct screaming at him to intervene, to save them.

But he was powerless, trapped in a prison of pain and helplessness as Zoom's hand plunged into their chests with chilling finality.

The screams echoed in Barry's ears, a symphony of agony that threatened to consume him whole.

And then, as suddenly as it had begun, it was over. Zoom stood before him, triumphant and cruel, his laughter a cruel mockery of victory.

"You see, Barry? This is your legacy – pain, suffering, death. Embrace it, for it is all you will ever know."

And with that chilling pronouncement, Zoom vanished, leaving Barry alone amidst the wreckage of his shattered world.

Star Labs was a shadow of its former self, its once pristine halls now marred by destruction and despair.

Cisco's hands trembled as he worked frantically to stabilize Barry's battered form, his normally jovial demeanor replaced by grim determination.

Harry and Caitlin hovered nearby, their faces drawn with worry as they watched Cisco's every move.

The air was thick with tension, the silence broken only by the sound of machinery and labored breaths.

"We need to do something," Caitlin murmured, her voice tight with emotion. "Barry can't stay like this – we have to find a way to help him."

Harry nodded, his brow furrowed in thought. "Cisco, do you remember that blonde superhero Barry was obsessed with a few months back? The one from another Earth?"

Cisco's eyes widened with realization, his fingers pausing mid-motion. "You mean Kara Danvers, aka Supergirl?"

Harry nodded again, a spark of hope igniting in his eyes. "Exactly. If anyone can help Barry, it's her. We need to open a breach to her Earth, and we need to do it now."

Without hesitation, Cisco sprang into action, his fingers flying over the controls with practiced precision.

The hum of the portal generator filled the air, growing louder with each passing second.

And then, with a brilliant flash of light, the breach opened before them, a shimmering gateway to another world.

Harry, Caitlin, and Cisco exchanged a solemn glance before hoisting Barry's unconscious form between them.

"Let's go," Harry said, his voice firm with resolve. "We don't have much time."

10 Hours Before Team Flash Is Defeated...

Kara Danvers, also known as Supergirl, hovered in the sky above National City, her cape billowing in the wind as she surveyed the city below.

It had been a relatively quiet day – no alien invasions, no world-ending catastrophes,

She had defeated her uncle in the Myriad incident and Cant shamefully recall her Red-K Shamble that just so happened to start right after and

now today she just had the usual chaos of everyday life.

Descending to street level, Kara landed gracefully in front of her apartment building, a sense of contentment washing over her as she stepped inside.

It felt good to have a moment of peace, a chance to unwind and relax after days filled with endless battles and near misses.

Slipping out of her Supergirl costume, Kara changed into more comfortable Sleep Wear

Her top being a "The Blur" Themed Crop Top and Pajama Pants with her house's symbol on them before she settled onto her couch, a contented sigh escaping her lips.

She reached for the remote, intending to catch up on the latest episode of her favorite TV show, when her thoughts turned to James Olsen.

James had been on her mind a lot lately, his smile haunting her dreams and his presence a constant source of comfort in her chaotic world.

They had grown closer over the past few months, their friendship blossoming into something more, something she couldn't quite put into words.

But even as she thought of James, another face intruded upon her thoughts – Barry Allen, aka The Flash.

There was something about him, something that stirred her heart in ways she couldn't explain.

Maybe it was his kindness, his selflessness, or maybe it was just the way he looked in that red suit of his.

Kara shook her head, trying to push aside thoughts of the scarlet speedster.

She had enough on her plate as it was – saving the world, maintaining her secret identity, navigating the complexities of human relationships.

She didn't need the added complication of a crush on a superhero from

Kara sighed, pushing aside her thoughts of Barry Allen as she tried to focus on the present.

She remembered their brief encounter before he left – the stolen moment, the shared kiss, and his gentle words encouraging her to pursue James Olsen.

Barry had his own love interest, he had said, and she deserved to find happiness too.

Returning to her thoughts, Kara tried to banish the lingering traces of disappointment that colored her memories.

She had accepted Barry's departure, understood his reasons, but that didn't make it any easier to let go of the connection they shared.

Just as she was about to lose herself in a sea of conflicting emotions, a sharp beep from her communicator drew her attention.

Frowning, Kara glanced at the screen, her heart leaping in her chest at the sight of the familiar symbol indicating a breach.

"Winn," she called out, her voice tinged with excitement. "What's going on?"

Winn's face appeared on the screen, his expression a mix of urgency and excitement. "Kara, there's been a breach. Team Flash just arrived on our Earth."

Kara's pulse quickened at the news, her mind racing with possibilities. Could it be Barry? Had he returned, perhaps to seek her out once more?

Hope blossomed within her, a fervent prayer to Rao that it was indeed Barry standing on the other side of that breach, and not some malevolent force bent on destruction.

Without hesitation, Kara sprang into action, her heart pounding with anticipation as she made her way to the designated meeting point

Kara arrived at the designated meeting point with a sense of urgency, her heart pounding in her chest as she scanned the area for any sign of Team Flash.

What she saw made her blood run cold.

There, amidst the rubble and chaos, lay Barry Allen – bleeding, beaten, and near death.

The rest of the team looked no better, their faces drawn with exhaustion and despair as they struggled to keep him alive.

Kara's breath caught in her throat as she took in the sight, a strangled yelp of shock escaping her lips before she could stop it.

Rushing forward, she knelt beside Barry, her hands trembling as she reached out to touch his battered form.

"What happened?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper as she turned to the others for answers.

Cisco met her gaze, his eyes haunted with guilt and regret. "It was Zoom. He... he got the drop on us. Barry took the brunt of the blast, but he saved us. He always saves us."

Kara's heart ached at the words, a swell of admiration and concern flooding her veins as she gently cradled Barry in her arms.

Without a second thought, she lifted him into the air, his weight surprisingly light despite the gravity of the situation.

Flying with a speed born of desperation, Kara raced towards the DEO, her mind racing with a million thoughts and fears.

Barry's life hung in the balance, and she was his only hope.

Arriving at the DEO, Kara wasted no time in handing Barry over to the medical team, her voice steady as she issued orders to Alex.

"The rest of Team Flash needs to be picked up and brought here," she said, her tone leaving no room for argument.

Kara sat in the operating room, her gaze fixed on Barry's pale form lying motionless on the table.

The steady beep of the heart monitor was a bittersweet symphony to her ears, a fragile lifeline tethering her to hope in the midst of despair.

Unnoticed tears welled in Kara's eyes, slipping silently down her cheeks as she watched the medical team work tirelessly to save Barry's life.

Her heart ached with every labored breath he took, her own pulse echoing the rhythm of his weakening heartbeat.

Suddenly, she felt arms wrap around her in a comforting embrace, and she realized that Cisco, Caitlin, and Harry were standing beside her,

their presence a silent reassurance in her moment of need. Without a word, they joined her in her vigil, their shared grief a bond that transcended words.

For a moment, they simply held each other, drawing strength from one another's presence as they waited for news of Barry's condition.

And then, as if on cue, Kara straightened up, wiping away her tears with a determined flick of her wrist.

"We should go to the mess hall," she said, her voice steady despite the tremor in her heart. "You must be exhausted, and we have much to discuss."

Kara straightened up, her resolve steeling as she led the way to the mess hall.

Each step felt heavier than the last, her heart weighed down by the uncertainty of Barry's fate.

She pushed aside her own fears, focusing instead on being a source of strength for her friends in their time of need.

As they settled around the table in the dimly lit mess hall, a heavy silence descended upon them, broken only by the clatter of utensils and the soft hum of conversation.

Kara glanced around at her companions, noting the weariness etched into their faces, the worry lines creasing their brows.

"We need to know what happened," she said, her voice breaking the silence with a note of urgency. "All of it."

Caitlin nodded, her expression grave as she began to recount the events that had led them to this moment.

She spoke of Zoom's brutal attack, of Barry's selfless sacrifice to save them, of the desperate battle that had ensued in the aftermath.

But amidst the grim recounting of their ordeal, a flicker of warmth ignited in their hearts as they recalled Barry's description of meeting Kara for the first time.

His words painted a picture of wonder and awe, his admiration for her shining through even in the darkest of times.

A soft chuckle escaped Cisco's lips, followed by a bittersweet smile as he remembered Barry's wide-eyed enthusiasm.

"He couldn't stop talking about you, Kara. Said meeting you was like meeting a real-life superhero."

Kara's cheeks flushed at the compliment, a pang of guilt tugging at her heart as she thought of Barry lying unconscious in the operating room.

"I just wish he were here now," she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper.
