Post School Me: And... Begin!
WOOSH!!
The blades moved at near sound speed, too fast for any regular intruder to dodge unless they were empowered by knight pieces or were simply fast enough (which only few actually were). Unfortunately for Epic, he hadn't even finished talking before the Knight's swords would eventually turn him into a kebab.
Rias, Akeno, Koneko, and Kiba all looked upwards at the area where Kiba's swords had supposedly struck the target. Small pieces of debris falling from the ceiling as well as dust gathering around the impact area showed evidence of the speed, strength, and number of swords. At first, they eased up, thinking that the being that made the noise was disposed of or at least fatally injured. Upon further inspection... it was discovered that
"Not to be that guy, but you kinda missed it, bruh." The voice repeated, but this time, from behind the four devils. They jumped away from the source of the voice and turned to face their would-be assailant. He donned a long, purple, unzipped, hooded jacket that seemed to cover his arms, upper face, as well as his palms, which were tucked into the jacket's pockets. Under that, a grey turtleneck and black pants and a pair of brown boots were also visible. And to top it all off, he always had a grin on his face. He seemed alien to everyone but one.
"You." Koneko pointed at him. Sans honestly swore that he had felt her before, but from where?... Aha! She was there when he fought. What's her name... Raynare. 'So she's the one that was spying on me then, eh?'
While he thought hard about where he had seen the little kitty girl, he noticed Kiba and Akeno. The Knight had formed a sword in his hand and subtly assumed a battle stance. Akeno, on the other hand, still remained a little lax, but Epic still saw the sparks of lightning that danced across her fingers.
"Hey now, kiddos. There's no need to get all violent, bruh."
He moved his hand in front of his chest in the universal 'calm down' gesture. If anything, this only managed to infuriate the red-haired girl because she stepped up front, pointing the glowing red Fireball of Destruction at the skeleton.
"You trespass into my territory, interfere in my business, and randomly appear in my base uninvited."
If her look and voice were anything to go by, she was pissed. Very pissed. Epic, on the other hand, was confused. Sure, he understood the trespassing and randomly appearing parts (even though it was to watch over Issei), but he didn't remember interfering in any of their matters.
"Woah, Princess, no need to get all fired up." He punned, eliciting a laugh from no one but himself.
'Tough crowd tonight, huh.'
"Buuchou-sama isn't in the mood for jokes now, yokai." Akeno clarified, falsely identifying Sans as a yokai. Still not far from the truth, though.
"Thank you, Akeno." She turned back to face Sans, feeling a bit calmer.
"Now. Sans, was it?" She began. "Koneko here tells me you fought off a fallen angel last night." She paused for a moment after telling Epic what Koneko had reported to her.
"Guilty as charged, bruh." He responded in a playful but somewhat serious tone before somehow expanding his already present smile.
"Problem?"
It was as if he was mocking them in a way, specifically, Rias. She stated exactly what the problem was a few minutes ago, and he still requests it a second time. Rather than respond to his question, she continued
"While I do acknowledge that you were helping Issei, you're still a trespasser and an intruder here, but instead of destroying you, I'll offer you a deal."
"Hmm?" Eric's eyebrows raised upon hearing this, prompting Rias to continue.
"You can either leave Kuoh now, and I'll pretend it never happened, or..." As she said this part, the lightning sparks around Akeno's hand became more frequent and evident, Koneko changed her stance, looking ready to pounce on Epic should the need arise and Kiba still remained as he was, on guard.
"Or..."
"Naah, bruh." Epic cut her off with his answer. Maybe under different circumstances, he would have agreed and left, but apparently, even in this new world, something or someone must have tasked him with guarding and helping Issei, especially now with that crazy Raynare chick running around trying to kill him and a power inside him to discover.
"Don't get me wrong here. I'm just lookin' out or the lil bruh." That... and he literally had nowhere else to go.
For Rias, this was the last straw. The Skeleton had ruined her plans and told her straight up that he had no plans of leaving. Sure, she had tried to play the boy's death in order to make him a devil, but she still wanted to help (both herself and him).
"Very well then. In that case, you shall be punished for your disobedience. " She spoke in a grim tone. The remaining ORC members caught on, and were ready to attack him.
Epic would have immediately left the area but instantly noticed a barrier around them that wouldn't let him leave. It was invisible but existent. With 0 other options left, he quickly took out his right hand from his pocket and showed it to the devils, which confused them for a moment.
"Made you look, bruh."
On cue, they all looked away from the hand to their right and noticed that there was a large dragon skull-like blaster floating there. It had purple pupils and long scar ran across its left eye. In its mouth was a purple, charged up energy blast pointed directly at them.
The blaster immediately fired a beam at them, forcing them to release their wings in order to fly away from the attack in time.
"So that's what you were talking about." Kiba asked, referring to the blaster as he turned to Koneko, who nodded in response.
"Kiba! Akeno!" Rias called out to her knight and Queen, the two fastest members of her peerage due to their pieces. The two of them nodded at one another, then instantly rushed towards Epic.
'Just one day... One freaking day!' Epic realised he hadn't gone a whole 24 hours without getting confronted for a while now. Gaster, then Raynare, then another crazy lady and her gang. Either way, they had him trapped now so he could either try to break that barrier or tire them out.
For obvious reasons... and the fact that blonde and huge assets were diving towards him, he chose the second.
Instinctively, Epic took a quick step to his left before lightning struck the area where he previously stood. He followed by sidestepping another lightning strike, then three more simultaneously before coming face to face with a blade that should have struck him had he not teleported out of the way.
However, as soon as Epic reappeared, he was met with a heavy punch, which, even though he blocked with his left arm, had managed to push him back and slam him hard against a wall. Without giving himself time to recover, he had to teleport again to avoid being vaporised by lightning, panning his upper body to the right to avoid Koneko, who launched herself with the intent to deliver a critical blow.
In a quick motion, he spun and removed his right hand from his pockets to reveal a rather unconventional weapon, which he used to deflect Kiba's sword that was coming for him.
The blonde knight hovered into the air, and using his 'Sword Birth', he summoned a couple of swords beside him and quickly launched them at Epic who summoned and launched a couple of bones to deflect Kiba's sword rain while Koneko kept him busy on the ground.
A step to the left, one to the right, a little leap, and the little girl hits nothing but air. Koneko unleashed a flurry of attacks, now desperate to neutralise Sans, but time and time again, she swung and missed. She finally decided to charge him with a haymaker, but not only did the comedian duck under it, he caught Koneko's soul and telepathically pushed her away, slamming her into the very same wall he was pushed unto before leaping away to dodge a lightning strike.
"She's gonna be a problem, bruh." He muttered under his breath as his left eye reverted back to its normal colour. He was about to concentrate more on Akeno but as soon as he yeeted Koneko, Kiba came in with a diagonal slash, which he parried yet again with his 'weapon'. Instead of metal meeting metal, a loud squeak sounded followed by numerous other squeaks.
SQUEAK. SQUEAK. SQUEAK...
Kiba and Sans were going at it, only stopping when Sans had to break it up to dodge Koneko or Akeno's lightning strikes and now Ice?? Damn, that Akeno was something else. Matter of fact, they all were. Koneko was little but strong, Kiba was fast and good with swords and Akeno... he had to hand it to her, she was accurate with her ranged attacks. Epic sidestepped a sword strike then immediately dodged a hook from Koneko but before he could yeet her again, he teleported away to avoid a long icicle but Akeno didn't end it there. She kept him moving, following Epic with lightning and ice attacks where ever he went. Meanwhile, Kiba kept a keen eye on Epic, watching him closely as he expertly maneuvered past Akeno's attacks. He had formed a sword behind him, sharper, thicker, and stronger than his previous ones.
In the blink of an eye, the sword zipped past the room, not towards where Sans was...
but to where he was going to be.
"Take this!"
His aim was dead on since nobody saw any motion from Sans again. Kiba even smirked a bit, proud that he had put down the yokai that caused all this chaos. That was until Koneko announced.
"Not... *huff* over yet."
She pointed at Sans, who stood on a wall unscathed. The sword Kiba threw at him was outlined in purple and its tip was lodged firmly between Epic's first and index fingers, meaning that not only had he survived, but he caught the fast blade mid flight.
"Womp, womp!" Epic said in a mock pity voice. Another lightning attack flashed towards him, but thus time, he reflected Akeno's attack back towards her, stunning her. Upon seeing this, Koneko and Kiba flew in for a not so successful attempt to neutralise him
Rias watched in awe as her peerage was getting tossed around by this Sans guy like they were sand bags. If there's one thing she learned, he excelled in speed and looked like he could do this all day. He'd only attacked them once and that was at the start of the bout. What stood out the most though was his left eye that would glow purple at times whenever he used his magic. Wait... wasn't he just deflecting sword attacks with a toy chicken? The skeleton truly was something else. She was broken out of her thoughts when a purple glowing Kiba flew past her and crashed into the ceiling beside her. Kiba was immediately quickscoped with an Epic Blaster before falling back down to the ground, defeated.
Looking onwards, she saw Koneko, visibly out of steam. She was breathing hard and could hardly stand on her own, most likely exhausted from her missed attack attempts and from being thrown around. Epic's scarred eye glowed purple again as he sidestepped another of her weak blows before flicking her on the head, sending her flying again into the same wall and putting her out of the fight.
This was fun, we should do this again sometime... But I really gotta get going before I miss dinner, bruh." Epic stated, gesturing to Kiba and Koneko before turning around to leave. However, as soon as he reached the door.
"Enough of this!". Akeno's voice echoed throughout the room as she rapidly attempted to strike Epic. He sidestepped her first attack, and almost got hit by the second. Rias' Queen wasn't quite as accurate as she was before, trading her accuracy for more attack room. She thought that if she kept this up for long enough, she could pin down Epic for herself or Rias to end him. On her face was a grin that made it look like she enjoyed watching Epic trying not to literally die.
"Dang, bruh!" He exclaimed while still moving. "I don't think you have any idea how fast I really am." He continued before proceeding to blitz her. It was obvious that he had changed plans now because instead of going around her, he was teleporting upwards instead.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Akeno still wouldn't let up, despite knowing that her opponent was coming towards her. By the time she reacted to him bring close, it was already too late. Epic appeared behind her, swinging his rubber chicken at her abdomen for a knockout, a blow which she dodged by flying out of the way. In response, she fired off several lighting and ice projectiles towards Epic's direction behind her as she flew away and, still met the same result when Epic effortlessly phased out of the way.
Deciding that now was the best time to end this battle, Epic let himself fall, only choosing to appear behind Akeno when he was to hit the ground. The Princess turned around to meet Epic mid swing again but this time, she managed to catch his weapon (despite the pain it dealt to her hand) and retaliated with a punch of her own. Unbeknownst to her, she had fallen right into his trap. Before she could hit Epic, a plethora of blunt ended purple bones sprouted from the ground behind her and launched themselves towards her back, hitting her multiple times and weakening her for...
"I'm fast as f*ck...!" Epic proclaimed while pointing two finger guns at Akeno. Akeno, on the other hand could only make out a few things: Sans' glowing left eye, the two finger guns he had pointed at her, and another slightly larger one of his charged blasters in front of her, ready to fire.
"Boiiii!!!"
Epic 'shot' his finger guns at her and an explosion sounded on cue. Rias swooped in immediately and caught her Queen, setting her down gently on the ground. Epic meanwhile noticed that the explosion that went off wasn't his blaster firing.
Rather... it was his blaster that was blown up, and by none other than one of redheads fireballs.
"Hey there... ." Epic spoke softly, shrugging and walking slowly towards Rias and the downed Akeno. He took a quick glance at Akeno, closely observing the state she was in. It wasn't that bad though. The main thing that kept her down was fatigue and overexertion rather than any injuries or pain.
"She'll be alright, Buuchou-sama." Epic assured her, removing one of his hands from his pocket to attempt to console her. Rias however, was not having it. This... thing had laid out her peerage, her family's in front of her and it sure as hell was going to pay for this.
From her kneeling position, she took off towards Epic, ramming into him at full force and sending him into an airborne position again. She then flew above him, calling upon her family's signature Power of Destruction again.
Without wasting time, she began to unload on Epic...
"Ayoo???!!"
"Begone, Sans."
Sans teleported to the ground, spotting the energy orbs coming for him. Rias on the other hand was still firing off at Epic to her heart's content, expecting him to dodge or face destruction. Knowing the capabilities of her powers and literally watching them kill a blaster, he summoned a couple of blasters in front of him and fired them at Rias. By doing this, he was managing to keep Rias' attacks at bay.
'Wait... What if I..." Epic formulated a plan to kill two birds with one stone and it required one of his trump cards. He increased the intensity of his blasters, completely neutralising her fireballs. While she struggled to resume her barrage, Epic would then summon multiple blasters around Rias at different times and have them fire off individually.
Rias, in response, began throwing smaller fireballs at Epic's Blaster beams, stopping them before they could reach her. After a while, the blasters suddenly stopped firing and dispelled themselves, allowing Rias to focus on Epic again.
Except he was no longer there.
Outside the Old Dorms, Epic appeared, having distracted Rias long enough to bring himself outside.
"Okay, bruh. That should give me enough time to figure out how to..."
BOOM!!
Rias burst out of the Clubhouse, brimming with rage.
"How dare you try to run away in the middle of your punishment?" She screamed out, gathering up a large chunk of her power to summon another larger orb of Destruction. She was done playing games with Epic, but little did she know, so was he... PSYCH!!
"The fire hasn't worked so far, bruh. So how bout we chill out and talk over some cookies, my treat?"
A genuine offer that fell on deaf ears. Rias ignored him and released the massive Fireball towards him. However, instead of dodging or attempting to ward off against the orb, he just stood still, watching nonchalantly as the Fireball flew towards him.
"You've surrendered? How pitiful." Rias proudly mocked him, failing to notice that he had both arms outstretched towards the projectile. A grin made itself visible on her features as the orb made contact with Sans, effectively disintegrating him, or so she thought. She had finally put an end to this rumble.
"Huh?" Rias spoke out again, rather confused. She was sure that she had disposed of Epic, she saw the attack hit, she saw him fumble slightly under the sheer weight of the attack. So why was he still standing with that stupid smile on his face, and more importantly, what was with the red lightning on his hands...
"No, No, No!"
"Yes, Yes. YES!"
"RIAS! I thought I told you to stop... Woah." A black haired girl with some goofy ahh glasses in Epic's opinion was about to start yapping about something, but stopped once she looked around and tried to assess the situation. Her sudden appearance caused both Sans and Rias to stop for a moment, one of them thinking of what to say and the other trying to figure out who tf she was. If he were to guess, with the uniform and casually walking in on a whole ahh fight like it was normal, then these two were together. No matter, there's always a next time. He'd try to talk with them later but now...
"Hey, Buchou or Rias or whatever the name was. Issei shouldn't die on you, bruh. Else... we're gonna have some problems." He threatened, increasing the glow intensity of his left eye to further illustrate his point. Rias could swear that for a moment, she saw his smile fade.
"Oh, and your cookies were delish. I must know your recipe, bruh" He proclaimed, finishing one of Akeno's cookies he... borrowed from the ORC Clubhouse during their bout and carrying on with his comedic behaviour as if he didn't threaten to kill Rias a couple of seconds ago.
And now to escape this dome, and get out of this club
'Ya boi finna pull out a...' He warped upwards, now facing away from Rias and Sona. He quickly cupped his holed hands beside him, calling upon Rias' destructive energy and allowing a red sphere to form within his palms.
"KAMEHAME... BRUHHH!!" He proceeded to quickfire a Kamehamebruh at the barrier using Rias' energy infused with just a tiny bit of his own as not to overdo it. It didn't take long enough for the barrier to succumb to the beam and hence, it shattered almost instantly.
"Welp, that's my cue to..."
zip.
Epic stated, not giving himself enough time to finish before teleporting away from them, leaving the two shocked at whatever they just witnessed. Either way, Rias had a lot of explaining to do, and might just have made herself a new foe. Come to think of it, he would have served well as a devil under her but then again, what's done is done. She had to work on Issei for the time being, as well as watch out for Epic who claimed to be associated with him recently.
"Care to explain?" The black haired girl walked up to Rias, who landed and relaxed her wings.
"Trouble... I'll explain it to you later, Sona." She replied back. The two went back inside, mosly to cater to Rias' peerage members.
I do suck at fight scenes cause dayumm. I would leave more for you all to enjoy but I have a couple of exams again. As usual, drop a comment or a review if you liked this and I'll see you later
