Link Start: Danger In Virtual Worlds

Chapter 18: The 50th Floor/Time Madness

Date: Days 625-640

The 49th Floor was in SAO where the Christmas event boss Nicholas The Renegade spawned and dropped a revival item after being killed by Kirito. It is the city of Myujen which is an urban city with a lot of 3 story apartments. It has a church, central market, and a clock tower as well. On the big 50, the environment is a scorching desert home to the 50th Floor Boss: The Last Number. Apparently, it was so big that it couldn't even move so it was like a giant living statue. Most of the time, the boss can't even be hit. But after it attacks, you have about 15 seconds to attack it which means it gets weak after it attacks. We'll get back to it later. It is also home to the city of Algade which is now the largest city besides the Duel Links cities that we've seen so far. That's because the Town Of Beginnings was destroyed by Paradox and was the previous biggest. For this chapter, I'm going to focus on the 2 biggest things that happened before we reached the 52nd Floor. The 50th Floor Boss fight and Paradox's next move against us. But before that, let's start with the 49th Floor. We get there just fine and surprisingly, we find ourselves in the Dark Side Of Dimensions Duel World whether than a different location. Judai speaks up: "It's a shame that those of us who had to fight Agami in the alternate timeline this Duel World is based on have all perished in this game including my idol Yugi.." Asuka replies: "Don't jinx it, Judai! We don't need to deal Agami too in the midst of everything else that's going on!" Argo speaks up: "What's this about some villain named Agami?! I'll give ya 500,000 col if ya tell me the details! Nyehahahaha!"

I speak up: "That won't be necessary. Agami was someone who sought revenge for the death of his master Shadi but at some point, his intentions became twisted. In short, he started trying to punish others and sought destruction as the leader of our group named Pana if I'm not mistaken. Kaiba had just invented a new kind of dueling equipment that uses augmented reality to even generate the cards drawn virtually. It was a highly realistic system not unlike Ordinal Scale. In fact, Ordinal Scale is practically almost the same exact kind of thing. Anyway, Kaiba ended up challenging Yugi because he was obsessed with dueling Atemu once again now that he had realized that it was the ancient pharaoh who had been his rival for several years in Duel Monsters. Having retrieved and nearly completed the Millennium Puzzle which was thought to be destroyed after the Ceremonial Duel along with the rest of the Millennium items, Kaiba built himself a space elevator and space station and wanted to use his new dueling system with the puzzle to bring Atemu back from the afterlife. 2 pieces of the puzzle were taken by someone else. Yugi and Kaiba dueled only for Agami to get in the way after that, beginning what he called a Dimension Duel after previously sending after Jounochi to a dark dimension. Having him get into this game would be a disaster. His Duel Links self wouldn't be so bad but the real him? No thanks." With all of that said, nothing much happened in terms of what I want to write about until we got to the 50th Boss. So I will just sum what happened before that happened in a way we never saw coming.. We clearers did what we have been doing without too many problems on the 49th Floor.

The Domino City part of the DSOD Duel World proved to be full of all kinds of unique quests and secrets. Ominously, the Millennium Items were found displayed in the Domino Museum and glowing while a Ishizu NPC stood guard over them along with personal guards carrying invisible guns. Oh yeah and all of the monsters. There were a lot of monsters at night in the city. Some of them were even monsters from Bakura's deck such as Dark Necrofear and the spirit of the field spell that's activated when Dark Necrofear is destroyed. Myujen had some strange things too such as hordes of monsters as well which is really strange since it's a safe zone and all that. It didn't help that the Destiny Board appeared in the sky with it beginning to spell out a chilling message. We didn't know what to make of it even though we knew it was spelling out "FINAL" slowly but surely. We defeated the 49th Floor Boss and moved on to the 50th Floor before it could finish spelling out that word. However, it currently spells out "FINA" which is really really ominous. The clock tower in Myujen also acted strange. At one point, after reaching midnight, the hands on the clock stopped moving and the bell just kept ringing out. All day and all night for days, no one could really stand to be near the clock tower. It stayed the way it was even after we teleported to the 50th Floor. We know this because the other players who came to the floor after we fully explored it complained that it wouldn't stop chiming. Something big is happening soon and I don't think what's going on is about the 50th Floor Boss.

Once we get to the 50th Floor, we find ourselves really high up. A lot of players are unsettled by the destruction on the ground far below us. Amelda exclaims: "The destruction.. It's like a war happened here.." Playmaker frowns: "That's one way of looking at what happened." Revolver sighs: "I wanted to destroy the entire internet of our world. I regret that now. This Tower of Hanoi is the only structure that isn't in ruins here as we used it again later on to help against another threat entirely that wasn't my own ambitions. I sought revenge for what happened to my father several years ago. His body was crippled and he was forced to live on in Link VRAINS. Now, he has passed on. He gave me the last of his strength to help me." Soulburner replied while putting a hand on his shoulder: "We've been through a lot, haven't we? So this is the original Link VRAINS? I can't believe our enemies even allowed this to be brought into this game." Sinon speaks up and points to a specific location: "Hey, if this whole place was destroyed, why do I see an intact out of place city in the middle of it?" Kirito replies: "That must be Algade.. I could recognize it from any distance. After all, it's so big that you could easily get lost in the alleyways for hours." Spectre hums: "But why would it be in the middle of old Link VRAINS? How very strange." Asuna says: "I don't know about any of you all but I think we should begin heading towards there to investigate what's going on." Jesse yells: "It's time for some ender pearling!" Revolver adds: "I suggest all of you aim carefully. During what happened here, a lot of destruction was caused."

I further add: "There are areas in which the ground that was there is now completely gone. Also, why does it feel really humid up here?" None of us knew it but we would end up discovering the entire floor was largely a hot desert. It took hours for all of us to reach the bottom of the Tower Of Hanoi as we all watched one another use the ender pearls after some of us gave feedback to aim them correctly. Once we do, Argo sighs: "It's so hot on this floor.. Thankfully, we have enough water to last all of us several days but still. This will only work against us. Recently, we have started to get status effects based on the biomes we were in more and more often. We must be getting a status effect that mimics the conditions of the desert." Asuna replies: "But what if it isn't merely a debuff?" "What do you mean, Asuna?" "What if the game is becoming more and more accurate to reality thanks to the code of the Underworld?" Ai shakes his head: "That can't be it." He earns a look from Playmaker and quiets down. When it gets dark out, we have yet to reach Algade. It's Day 634 of the Infinityverse at the moment. Just under 100 days until the 2 year mark. So we are forced to craft or get out tents to camp for the night even with all of the monsters that must be around. Knowing that there might be a lot of monsters planning on ambushing us, we lay out all kinds of traps on all sides around us to keep them away before falling asleep. The very next day, we all eat some provisions for breakfast. I end up saying: "You know. I wonder why I'm not sweating much more right now. Full metal armor alone is normally hot to wear. I guess that means we are all just experiencing a desert debuff. Otherwise, I would be panting heavily right now from it being so hot on this floor."

Enduring heat waves and sandstorms, it takes us a few more hours to finally reach Algade. When we do, we all decide to take a rest in the central area of it. We are now such a large team that we're basically a whole entire army now. With that in mind, the leaderless collective structure had really become what the Assault Team is organized into. I talked about how that came to be chapters back so there's no need to cover it again. Anyway, there's much more pressing matters at the moment. We end up building over the central area with blocks and placing torches all over the place so we could have some serious shade from the heat. For a while, all we do is eat, drink, talk, and rest. No one wanted to get back up to move forward yet. The plan was to split back up into smaller groups to explore the floor. We weren't even worried about not finding the 50th Floor Boss given what has already happened in the past with the spawn locations of nearly all of the Floor Bosses. But with all of the ominous things we had seen lately, it was obvious that something really bad is going to happen. I thought back to the Destiny Board and shuddered at the thought of what it could mean. Just as I was about to get back up after resting in the shade, the entire area's situation changed in seconds. We heard a loud monstrous sound before something spawned on top on our shelter. That's when the boss bar appeared. "The Last Number." Seeing this, we all hastily got up and drew our weapons. We didn't know that the boss was right on top of us at the time. Kirito shouts: "What the hell?! Seriously?! The boss spawned near us in this town?! Oh no! This is really bad! We could lose a lot of comrades here.."

Asuna nods: "It could be anywhere. We have to be ready for its moves. It was a great idea to make sure everyone here was filled in on what it could do in SAO. That will give us a chance to win without losing anyone." But before anyone else could say anything, the blocks we placed over us begin to break extremely quickly. Silica yells: "I think the boss is above us!" This results in a huge uproar and panic. Someone yells: "Everyone! We have to get away from where the blocks are being broken and get into our positions!" Right before it fell on top of us, we all managed to back away in time if we in fact needed to back away to avoid being crushed by the huge boss. The rest of our shelter collapsed right after The Last Number fell through most of it. That's not something that normally happens with structures made with blocks from Minecraft. The boss roars loudly and we prepare ourselves. No one attacks it yet because we know it's attack pattern and weaknesses already. A minute passes before it attacks a huge area and turns a bit while doing so. Once it is finished attacking, Playmaker shouts: "We must attack now!" Ignoring the scorching debuff that has now returned to affect all of us, we attack the boss with everything we have until it stops taking damage after about 15 seconds. But then, it changes its behavior by only attacking again after 5 minutes. And when it attacks, it's much more widespread and is able to turn 360 degrees without moving a single step. But that's not all. Its weakness becomes a lot harder to exploit as its defense stats become even higher than they were previously. And it only attacks for 5 seconds after returning to attacking only once a minute.

We were now taking so much damage without being able to actually hit the boss. It was bad enough that we hadn't even leveled up at all on the 50th Floor. Someone tried to escape only to inform us with fear that a barrier has been placed around the whole entire city to keep us all trapped inside of it. Sinon yells: "This isn't working! We have to rethink everything right away!" That's when The Last Number actually starts taking steps. A lot of clearers had trouble staying balanced with everything that was now happening around us. Leafa exclaims: "This wasn't how it was in New Aincrad! It's even harder now than it was in that version of this world! This is really bad!" The sky goes dark out of nowhere as images of the Destiny Board and clock tower appear in the sky. The Destiny Board hasn't yet spelled out its final letter. The clock remains stuck on the time it was on. This is what we'd call a grim omen. I didn't know what to say anymore as the boss only became more and more aggressive, choosing to constantly attack with a speed that shouldn't even be possible for something like it. The cooldowns and weakness seems to virtually no longer exist. It's like someone reprogrammed it to do whatever it or they want it to. I just know that I was forced to flee into the maze that was Algade. As we run, Lisbeth states: "This is unlike any boss fight up to now.. We have to find a good hiding spot to attack from.. Otherwise, we're all going to not make it out of this alive." I nod urgently: "That's true but I don't think there will be many hiding places to hide for very wrong."

Sinon replies: "Yeah. It's now on a path of mass destruction. There's nothing we can really do to counteract that sort of thing." We have no choice but to keep running and try to hurt it with ranged weapons. Fighting it in close quarters would be a death sentence. That's one thing that no one can afford to mess around and find out with. Buildings and more are destroyed as the boss attempts to kill us all with its huge amount of strength. "Damn it! There really isn't much we can do with just us against that damn boss! The worst part is that it's become a lot tougher to defeat now that's it defenses are even tougher than before. We barely scratched its surface when we were still dealing with it acting the way it was supposed to attack. But now, not even the aid of RCT3 peeps is doing much good for us which goes to show just how strong the boss really is now. As time goes on, more of the city just gets destroyed as the boss pursues us and we try to offer resistance against its horrible power. The chaos just gets worse too. No one is spared from the effects of The Last Number's attacks. All that happens is destruction. For hours, we run as more and more of the city gets leveled as the chimes of the clock tower whose hands no longer move ring out continuously in our ears despite the fact that we're on the 50th Floor now. So many screams of pain and agony are heard. I yell: "Damn it! All we can do is run! We are no match against this boss! How the hell are we supposed to win?! This is like the 47th Floor Boss combined with several of our other darkest struggles in this game! What can we even do to win against our foe?!"

By now, all of us clearers are now just running in circles around what's left of Algade. Suddenly, the barrier surrounding the city is mysteriously lifted and we begin running across the ruins of old Link VRAINS. Everything around us has been decimated. It's super eerie or would be if the boss wasn't now firing eyelasers and fireballs at us along with it's incredibly strong strikes that are now being executed by the biggest sword I have ever seen in my life. A sword big enough to flatten a small town from just being dropped. The winds caused by the attacks make it hard to keep steady while continuing to run. Most clearers are running out of stamina and fast now. We are running out of time to find a way to win before it starts killing all of us one by one. This is truly a crisis situation. To think that it would suddenly start changing its tactics over and over again. Playmaker states: "It appears we must call upon our cards. Thanks to a hack into the system, we can now use our duel disks in Floor Boss battles once again. I will begin first!" Myself and the other duelists pass along the info and ready our duel disks for use. After all, each of us has become skilled to use our duel disks while in motion. Even while running. "Neos Wiseman! Rainbow Neos! Shining Neos!" "Hope Beyond, Hope Ray Victory, Hope Ray V, Hope Ray, and Hope!" "Arise, my Goukis! Let's mash things up!" "Marincess Marble Rock! You're first!" "Cyberse Clock Dragon, Firewall Darkfluid, Cyberse Xyz Dragon, Cyberse Quantum Dragon, Firewall Dragon, and Decode Talker!" "Nitro Warrior! Junk Warrior! Road Warrior!" "Dark Rebellion! Odd Eyes! Clear Wing! Starving Venom!"

"Regnes! Undead Jammer! And 4 others! Help complete this combative composition!" We summon as many of our strongest monsters that we still have as possible. Thanks to this, we now have a large army of duel monsters to help us out. They all take action on their own, engaging in a battle of epic proportions with the 50th Floor Boss. More destruction happens around us but the duel monsters hold their own for a while. This gives us a chance to rest, try to come up with a plan, and heal those who have been hurt. We have been so lucky so far. We haven't lost anyone yet. After 30 minutes, all of the duel monsters have been defeated, even the numbers somehow. But we don't stop. Those of us who have the means to resurrect our duel monster comrades do so with cards like Monster Reborn, Call Of The Haunted, and Monster Reincarnation. Girag scoffs: "Return, Giant Red Hand! Let's crush this boss!" But soon enough, the revived monsters are quickly destroyed to our shock. And it didn't even take much effort for the boss to pull it off. Eva speaks as we start running again and actually split up to try to confuse the boss or at least make sure it can't kill us all as quickly: "Damn, the only weaknesses now are its body and relative slow walking speed!" I nod: "And how are we even supposed to exploit either of them to take it down?! Yeah, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. But also, the bigger they are, the more effort you usually need to make them fall. Even if all of us pushed against the boss to try to knock it down, that wouldn't work at all. We have to use our brains to find a solution. Clearly, no weapon will turn the tide against it for us."

Another 2 hours of running passes. A demonic hand begins slowly placing the letter L down onto the Destiny Board above us in the sky. I bet once that L is put in position, it will spell the end of us all and everything we've worked so hard for. It may even be related to Paradox. I have hope that we will beat this boss but I don't have the slightest idea of how we are even going to accomplish something like that with how things are going. I let out a yell filled with all of my emotions. But then, something happens. Yui and Pandor go up high into the sky. Pandor clones herself many times. What's more: all of us start levitating because of Minecraft's levitation status effect which someone applied to all of us: probably Pandor. Revolver shouts: "If our cards and our gear cannot do a thing against our foe to defeat it, we will have to break the rules of this death game to win." Ghost Gal laughs: "This should be fun!" Romeo remarks: "Now this is a game I know I'm going to enjoy playing! Oh and I think it's time a certain few of us begin taking their authority levels in the game seriously." He's talking about me as one of those individuals. Alright then. "System Call: Generate Burst Element! Discharge!" We are slowly going higher and higher and whenever the boss tries to hurt us, we can just wave our hands around to get out of the way in time to avoid the attack. It tries to go higher only for its attempt to get it literally stuck into the ground itself, probably hanging precariously between the 49th Floor and the ground of this floor. It can no longer move nor can it use that sword on us as its failure caused the sword to get stuck in the same way, only worsening things for it as it was still holding that massive weapon that feels like it's overcompensating for something. With the boss now just stuck in place, we don't have to worry as much anymore. It can no longer use its basic attack on us very well. That's very bad news for it.

Those of us with certain admin permissions use them to send out projectiles against our foe. Hell, Romeo even ends up summoning a bunch of legendary weapons thanks to all of our memories and starts just tossing them to anyone willing to catch. I end up with the Sword of Unity from Ni No Kuni and use its power to unleash all of my sword skills from a distance on The Last Number. Kirito wields Excalibur. Fuka ends up wielding the biggest rpg launcher I have ever seen. I could go on from there. But thanks to all of these legendary weapons, we do exactly 0.1 damage per second combined. It turns out we have hardly damaged our foe this whole time. It is literally becoming evening now which is only darkening the already dark sky. This shocks all of us. Laval yells: "How have we not been able to do even 100 damage to this boss this whole time?!" Romeo growls: "That's it! I'm tired of this! Not even my full strength has done any damage! Alright.. We must now use hacking to automatically deplete The Last Number's health. That will do it. I know it will. This tiring game of nonsense will finally end with the destruction of this boss." And so, he and the others with high access to the game's system break into its central files and begin hacking the health of the boss to cause it to lose a mind boggling amount of hp per second. Over 1 quadrillion damage per second. It should have died instantly from so much damage but not only was it still alive but the health bar has not gone down at all. Beerus yells: "Those bastards! They never wanted us to beat this game! They wanted to do whatever it took to make sure we would never escape! When this game is finally beaten, I will find all of them and punish those mortals for trapping a God Of Destruction!"

Bulma sighs: "Does this boss have unlimited health?" Biara replies: "No. It is not an immortal object. It's hp is at a number that is impossible for any person to comprehend or even theorize the existence of. If you look closely at the health bar of The Last Number, the health is displayed as infinite but that's only because of that incredible number." Ghost Gal speaks: "What causes instant death that we can use?" Ivor replies: "I know! The /kill command! It's the only way for someone in creative mode to die!" Soren nod: "Unfortunately, he's right. That's the only thing I can think of myself that could instantly kill The Last Number." Ai chuckles: "If that doesn't work, why don't we just delete all of its code?!" Yui shakes her head: "That's not an option. The 50th Floor Boss is almost as core to the integrity of Aincrad as the 100th Floor Boss is in this death game. The difference is that while this game could survive without The Last Number's code, all of the system's save files would become corrupted and the game would start all over. But Aincrad would be destroyed without the 100th boss period. The only way to keep the game going is to kill The Last Number. It will just respawn where it was supposed to spawn: the boss room on this floor." Ai sighs: "I'm disappointed." All kinds of commands are then executed to try to kill the boss. One even attempted to force respawn it and make it drop all of its items around us. But that nor the /kill command work. However, Olivia has an idea: "Hey, since the boss is actually taking damage, couldn't we accelerate the game's simulation time until it dies?" Yui shakes her head again: "Unfortunately, there's no way to change the simulation speed of the game from inside of it. That can only be done remotely."

"Okay.. Well, what if we were to send it into the void. It isn't in creative mode and the void is ruthless. It doesn't matter what kind of gear you have on. If you fall into the void, your life is over. But then again, I don't think it could kill instantly or deal enough damage to kill The Last Number in a matter of hours.." Spectre grins again: "You have just given me an idea. What if we changed the damage dealt per tick by the void? It is after all a feature from Minecraft." I speak up: "Actually, the Roblox void kills instantly. Does this game use that void anywhere? There's no way it uses both the Minecraft and Roblox voids. It's gotta be one or the other." Olivia thinks: "Based on how our enemies who trapped us here operate, I don't think this game uses the Roblox void. They want us all to experience immense and prolonged suffering after all." I nod: "That's right. So that must mean it is the Minecraft void they use. RCT3 probably doesn't have a void. We don't know what the void of Link VRAINS does and I don't want to find out." Revolver adds: "In theory, we could program the assets of the Roblox void to appear over the Minecraft one. Its files should still be within the code of this game even if they're unused. Many places we Knights of Hanoi have hacked in the past contained useless or unused files within their systems." So it's decided. Before long, the boss is now angrier than ever while still trying to kill us all but is unable to succeed. Meanwhile, everything to kill it is taken care of. With a teleport command, it is teleported into the Roblox void far far far far below us and the world Aincrad floats over. As soon as that command is executed, we see its health bar vanish with a congratulations screen being displayed. What's more is how much exp it dropped.

We were all pleasantly surprised to find our levels rising by a pretty large amount, making it pointless to farm monsters for exp on this floor. The effects of the levitation wear off but we are teleported to the ground before any of us could take any fall damage. Now that all of that was over with, we literally went to the 51st Floor 2 days later on Day 636. We also got a huge amount of other drops including great weapons and materials. It's clear that the boss was never meant to be killed in this game so our foes gave it a nutty collection of items to drop when it would die for the very first time. Using all of that stuff, we were able to prepare much faster for the 51st Floor. But that was only after we had a celebration for beating the 50th Floor that was so bananas that I had to leave it just a few minutes in. It was too much even for me. But for others, it was just right or not enough. I literally just sword trained while the party raged on. Anyway, we did in fact finally go to the 51st Floor almost first thing in the morning on Day 636. With all of our preparations and all that exp we got, we were actually too strong for the monsters on the 51st Floor. Us clearers were able to easily take on and finish any and all available quests. Interestingly, we found ourselves in Mirror Link VRAINS on the floor when we first got to it. Lightning's floating distance was far in the distance but we could still see it. We didn't attempt to go there. There was no need to. But what was most strange was that the 51st Floor Boss was not anywhere to be found. The only place that wasn't checked on the floor by Day 640 was the 51st Labyrinth.

That implies that the boss is suspiciously inside its actual boss room. Something like this hadn't been seen in so many floors. It was a huge surprise that made us feel very nervous especially with the demonic hand still slowly placing down the L for the Destiny Board and the fact we could still faintly hear the chimes of that clock tower 2 floors down. The entire Assault Team enters the Labyrinth to clear it quickly and make sure that we could get in as many of our forces into the boss room as possible while those who stayed behind would act as the backup and watch for anything strange while they were at it. I'm in the former group which is no surprise. The infamy I had in the early days of the day has now faded completely. Instead, I am considered amongst the top 100 of the Assault Team. Sometimes, people apparently sometimes just call me "the KNIGHT" when talking about me. I don't know what I did to deserve that but it seems that I'm more known as a knight than Diavel is despite the fact that he was one of the 2 proper leaders of the Assault Team until it became a leaderless collective. He still remains someone people trust to come up with plans and all that but none of what he shouts in battle is necessarily a mandatory order anymore. That's just one way things have changed as of late in regards to all of this stuff. More importantly, we take care of the boss. It only takes a couple of hours which I found to be a very pleasant but unforeseen development in the history of our fight to get the hell out of this horrible death game. We all celebrate a little bit over the defeat of the boss right after it happens.

Kirito grins: "We did it! Time to prepare for the next floor!" Asuna stares firmly at him: "Kirito, get that ridiculous grin off of your face right now! Stop being so chill about all of this!" He grimaces at what she just said especially after having seen her humiliate Oberon a few days ago who again tried to take her away. She wiped the floor with him and make him look like a fool in front of the entire Assault Team. All villains deserve to be humiliated after all. Before Kirito could protest, someone we didn't want to see appears. He laughs incredibly loudly as he shows himself to us again: "Congratulations for being the unstoppable 50th Floor Boss! You must be so proud of yourselves. But I have come here to crush all of your hopes and dreams! I have found a way to travel through time in this game!" Revolver exclaims: "Impossible! You can't truly time travel in a video game!" "Hahahahaha! There's so much you don't understand. But it won't be long now until that no longer matters as you and everyone else here will eventually die. I have realized something. Since you will follow me to try to stop me anyway, I will kill 2 birds with one stone. I will destroy all of you and get my revenge on Yusei, Judai, and past versions of Yugi and the Pharaoh while also erasing the games that make up this game from existence. With all of you gone, I will then finish my plan by finding the original universe. The universe that all universes where Earth exists or previously existed can be traced back to! I'm not even going to try to kill you here when I can just kill all of you at an earlier point in time when you weren't as difficult to kill as you are now at this point.." He opens a portal that's surrounded by code and is made up of energy as well as distorted code. The portal closes right behind him.

Romeo and the others who can affect the game's system force it back open and make it bigger than ever before. Romeo shouts: "All of you! Hurry up and get in there! We are going to keep it open for as long as we can! There's no time! You will be on your own without our help once you go through. We do not know if you will ever be able to come back or not or what will happen after you go through. Best of luck to all of you. Oh and if you see Fred before I made the foolish mistake of killing him, tell him that I'm sorry for everything." We all nod and start running into the portal. In seconds, many of us have already gone through. I look around and notice we're inside the game's save files. I see Paradox and chase after him. I didn't pay much attention to who else went through the portal the villain made. I just mostly focused on getting to him in order to put a stop to him and his plans. I then see my past self and others struggling against the 47th Floor Boss. He laughs and summons his dragons to end us all quickly but myself and others summon our monsters to stop him. We chase him through so many moments in time. Next was when we were almost destroyed during the final battle with Entity303 and the power struggle occurred. But it's clear that Paradox is only playing around with us for now. Once he reaches the point he wants to reach, he will make sure to use everything he has to kill the past versions of ourselves although I really doubt what he does in a past save file will actually do anything to use. A game can have many saves of the same thing and you can go back and forth between them.

They all exist as separate files with the newer ones having the same info as their predecessors and having even more info than they do and so on. What if Paradox is only doing this to trick us into thinking that he will use time travel in this game to destroy us? A whole bunch of things are witnessed. Our settling in on the 45th Floor. Dealing with the raid duel version of Paradox. Pitohui making a way out of that grocery store through its baler of all things. Me seeing bodies stuffed into banana peels. That big dark room with that player killer. Crushing Laughing Coffin for the final time. Entity303 kidnapping several of our comrades and leading us on a long and painful chase. Bowling using Amelda and the others along with Laughing Coffin to kill us all. The disrupted Christmas celebration. All Might doing a Santa impression. The Orichalcos tree incident. Even further back too. Quinella turning me and several others into her new Integrity Knights. Romeo losing it and seeking revenge on Jesse. Other power struggles. Oberon taking Asuna by force. The Wither Storm being summoned against us on the 1st Floor. Heartland explaining the game. Even the moment we all ended up trapped inside the game. Paradox laughs: "That's right clearers! Just keep following me!" We end up fighting him in Twisted Land minutes before myself and others would be sucked into the death game. We fought him above Paradise Cove. I yell: "Paradox! Stay out of Twisted Land, you bastard!" He destroys the entire park and kills past me and the others who were with me that fateful day. After we left, what was changed was instantly deleted\reverted.

"You know, this is really fun! To destroy everything in all times! Isn't it so fun to be outside of the game now?! You must be confused as to how this is even possible!" Sinon replies: "It's because virtual worlds are on computers and you can go through them and eventually bust out of cables or servers to manifest in the physical world." "You clearers are far more clever than I thought! It makes me so angry! Very well! That means I have yet another reason to destroy all of you! But there's still a long way to go before I find the perfect moment to destroy all of you! We'll even go to the future at times! Hahahahaha!" Suddenly, I see a future version of myself that I now know as myself after Don Thousand had us fighting against him in a struggle that destroyed the entire multiverse. Paradox laughs as he tries to kill that version of me and the others with them only to fail and make us follow him to a whole other time. The next place we end up is still in the future the date I'm writing this writing about all of this. Myself and Dominic are fighting Turles in Athena's Sanctuary as fights happen all around us. Later, it shifts to the fight in the Dreamworld against Hypnos and Thanatos. After that, it's to the moment I was involved in making a fake Kira. Okay, here's just sentences of other points we fought Paradox in as he destroyed everything he could in them within just a few seconds. Gohan, Piccolo, and co fighting Cell Max. The fake Kira plan working perfectly. The wild fights in the Dreamverse. Intervening in an alternate timeline in which Hamas is undisputedly really bad just like Israel is though it's only now that I realize that Hamas in that timeline was definitely just a secret pawn of Israel's government.

Many more as well. But finally, the one moment Paradox thinks he can get all of us. He laughs as he stands in place upon our arrival. He laughs: "While I can't destroy all games here.. There's something I can still do here besides kill all of you. I'm going to really enjoy every moment of what I'm about to do!" He laughs again as expected. The villain then adds: "I know all about how those number cards make it impossible to alter timelines in which they are brought into by someone including this one. But I will work around that rule!" I demand: "What the hell are you planning, Paradox?!" "You'll see! You'll all see since I have no desire to kill you until this is taken care of! Witness this!" Without another word, he runs over to Supreme Dark Lord Lucifer right after my past self comes back to life as a Dark Signer. And then, he fuses himself with that tyrant. Blaze points out: "Doesn't he realize that that won't work?" I shake my head: "He's not as clever as he thinks he is. Also, it is really weird to be here in the past as a physical avatar from that death game." Paradox finishes his fusion and laughs: "No no. I don't plan to do anything here. I have a better idea." We follow him in his new form through another portal. We find ourselves in an alternate timeline which was erased several years ago. I look around: "This is THAT Miitopia.. This is really bad. Because this timeline was erased and apparently, it's not anymore, it is not protected from interference.."

Paradox laughs as we all try to kill him to no avail. "That's right! I will destroy this universe and you will all watch as it happens. Then, before you cease to exist, I will kill all of you. Once that's all done, all of the events that happened because of what happened here will be erased from existence!" I stagger the most, having amongst the strongest understandings of the implications of all of this: "If this succeeds, everything that wouldn't have succeeded or occurred without myself and the others who came to this timeline will flop or never happen, leading to a complicated chain reaction that would complete one of your goals. But you do realize that they will just lead to you facing some competition from some seriously wicked beings, right?" "That won't matter!" He vanishes only to reappear as one strange looking fusion with a power level far beyond our comprehension. He makes a move to destroy the universe but nothing happens. "What?! Why isn't anything happening?!" Paradox starts fading away and getting blurry. I look down at myself and see the same thing is happening. Revolver smirks: "It appears there's something that you managed to not calculate into your plans. The further away a consciousness connected to a structure mode of code gets away from where it comes from, the faster it will dissipate into energy." "This can't be! How did I not know that?!" Tsunade speaks: "You appear to not have a strong enough understanding of computers or programming to realize the flaws in this plan of yours." I add: "That's not all. Now that I think about it, you can't erase us from existence no matter what you try."

"You're lying! Lying! I will destroy all of you and get the revenge I have sought for such a long time!" "As long as all those numbers continue to exist, they will ensure our continued existence. Good luck destroying them btw. We are running out of time before we all just fade away. I really suggest you take all of us along with you back to the Infinityverse before it's too late. The reason you're still fused with all those beings is because your actions in their timelines didn't affect them at all. And you're only a video game avatar at the moment. Oh and in case you're wondering how difficult it is to destroy those numbers, I'm not even sure how you would go about doing so. Only something like the destruction of the entire multiverse would cause them to be destroyed for certain." "No! This can't be! I was going to end you all and get one step closer to destroying all games for they have ruined humanity and eventually caused humanity's downfall in many universes!" "You know. If only you had the power to erase us individually from existence. That would work. The multiverse would find a way to fix the whole person who existed now no longer existing thing. But you haven't stolen that power from someone, have you? No. Otherwise, you would have used it on us by now after we pointed out your failure." Paradox doesn't respond at first. He just opens a portal and attempts to leave us all behind by having it close ASAP. However. We saw that coming.

Romeo smirks: "It was quite the challenge keeping that portal open. And I was very entertained at what I saw after I went through it just before it closed." He single-handedly forces the portal to grow in size so we all immediately head inside of it. Right as I left as amongst the last individual to go through the portal before it would close for good, I saw the entire timeline we were in get erased. Huh. I guess time sometimes records the existences of some erased universes even after they're erased for good. Ya know, maybe it's because I wrote the adventure in that timeline that allowed us access to it despite the fact that it was completely erased or maybe it's because of the whole entire multiverse being all connected together in the aftermath of the defeat and fission of The Shadow. No matter what the reason is, what actually matters is that we followed Paradox all the way back to the 51st boss room. As we headed back through a series of portals opened by our foe, Romeo opens other portals to bring anyone who got stranded back to us so that way, no one would have their consciousnesses fade away. And so, after some time, we end up back where we started. Paradox is angry: "How dare you ruin my plans like this?! And why couldn't you just let yourselves fade away?! Then, your bodies would have become comatose for the rest of your lives!" I smirk: "Yeah, we couldn't allow that to happen. Since I come from a timeline that isn't affected by any interference as far as I'm aware.. Even if I started to fade away, my consciousness and soul would have just been pulled back to my body in my original world eventually."

"That's unthinkable! How can this be?! HOW DID YOU BECOME THE WAY YOU ARE?! ..Fine! That doesn't really matter! Instead, I will just kill all of you here and enjoy every single moment of your suffering as I take my revenge! Yusei Fudo, Judai, I will make you watch as everyone here except for you is killed! Once they're all dead, I will make your deaths as long and painful as possible! I am so angry! My attempts to get what I want have failed due to multiple technicalities that I was unaware of!" And with that, he prepares to destroy us all only to realize something. "NOOO, ALL THESE BEINGS I FUSED WITH.. NOOOOOOO.. I LOST ALL THE POWERS I STOLE THROUGH FORCEFUL FUSION!" But then he recovers, brushes it off, and laughs before unleashing all of his stolen dragons which have all been corrupted into Malefics. After that, he also summons his own dragons: Malefic Truth Dragon and Malefic Paradox Dragon. It's sad to say that even the NPCs in the Assault Team such as Kizmel would not be able to survive the full wrath of all of these dragons. They aren't immortal objects. They have hp. And for some reason, they aren't invincible to things such as being attacked by his dragons. That must be some kind of code alteration someone made in retaliation for us recruiting the elves of Lyusula and Kales'Oh into the Assault Team. That being said, we anticipated Paradox pulling a stunt like this. Yui speaks: "I will now change the rules that apply in this room to some extent."

A few seconds later, all of his dragons vanish. Paradox is shocked: "This can't be! What have you done to MY dragons?! I will get MY revenge for this and everything else the likes of you has ruined!" Yui replies: "I just added a rule that forbids duel disk usage in boss rooms. Because of it, your duel disk automatically shut down as you need it to summon your dragons. I have read your entire avatar's files. The powers you possessed originally have been lessened in this game. As a result of that, you need to use your duel disk in order to summon any monsters even if you try to summon them the same way you did to kill Pegasus J Crawford: with your powers instead of your duel disk." After that is said, we end up treating Paradox like a floor boss like we did sometime ago while actively fighting him ourselves. He just gets angrier: "DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT YOUR FEEBLE ATTACKS WILL BE ENOUGH TO DESTROY ME?!" Sinon replies: "I don't know what it will take to defeat you but without your dragons, you are much easier to deal with now." He is unable to dodge all of our attacks. We got him exactly where we want him. If things keep going poorly for him, we will get rid of him right here and now. I wish he could be reasoned with but I just don't think it's possible at this point. Oh and this is the part where I thought too soon. Aki speaks to Paradox as we continue to overwhelm and overpower him despite him being as powerful as he is.

"Paradox, it's not too late for you. I changed to be better because Yusei chose to believe me, the infamous Black Rose everyone was afraid of. But Yusei saw me beyond the mask I wore. You can change too. I know what it's like to be feared by everyone. To want to destroy because of a longing for something I did not have. I pushed everyone around me away because of the harm I used to do until I got my powers under control. It took a long time for me to love myself and to let people back into my life. When that happened, I felt like I was living a life I thought I would never have. For years, I was used and brainwashed by Divine. He used me to get what he wanted and what he wanted was power. Even after he vanished, I still felt love towards him but then, he returned and almost killed Yusei. Because of that, I refused to no longer trust any of his words. I know your pain, I lost everyone I care about by pushing them away or they pushed me away because they were scared of me. I was called a monster. I had no real friends for a long time." Paradox appears somewhat moved by her words. We all stop fighting. Paradox then laughs: "Tell me more! I want to see if you can actually convince me. To some degree, I must admit. Your story feels similar to my own. Maybe I was wrong about all of you. Maybe I should have found another way back when I tried to destroy Duel Monsters." "Very well." Aki goes on to tell Paradox pretty much everything up to Z-One's defeat.

Paradox suddenly has a change of heart again: "This is ridiculous. I don't need the bonds you people share! What I need is power to destroy all games! Without games, this multiverse will be free of the tragedies that have been caused by Duel Monsters, Sword Art Online, Yami no Games, and many more. So many worlds won't be turned to ruin if I could just destroy all games. The only way I can do that is escape this world in a body as you made me realize. My physical body was destroyed so I will take Judai Yuki's once I have killed all of you except for him! That way, I can move forward with my plans beyond killing all of you and destroying this entire world! It appears I can't go back in time to change anything in this game. That's disappointing but what I'm about to do to all of you won't be! Hahahaha!" Yusei shouts: "Wait! Paradox! Hear me out." "Yusei Fudo. What makes you think I should listen to any word you say? After all, you not only foiled my plan to destroy Duel Monsters but you're also part of the reason why my life was mostly spent in a world of darkness and despair!" "Paradox. I know what it's like too. You should know all about my life after all so I don't need to explain that much."

Paradox eventually gets sick of all of this talking and proceeds to attack all of us. Eva shouts: "Paradox! You have sealed your own fate. Again all of us at once, you stand no chance." "Hahaha! I'm not afraid of any of you. This ends here!" Paradox soon eats his words as we use everything we can possibly use against him to sink his chances of winning to the bottom of the Mariana Trench. When the dust clears, Paradox is barely alive. His duel runner is in pieces. He has lost against us. The villain opens a portal and weakly says while slowly entering it: "This is not over. I will be back. And when I do return to kill all of you, I will have finally achieved one of my greatest desires. *laughs as we feel everything shake around and below us* Oh, would you look at that? It appears my plan to destabilize this floating castle is going very well. I foresaw my plan to mess with time potentially failing so I created a backup plan in case something like that were to happen. You can't stop me now! This plan will most certainly work! And when you least expect it, I will return to all of you in order to crush all of you and bring all of your lives to an end seconds before Aincrad begins to crash to the ground in a marvelous display. For now, I will leave. Do what you wish until next time. After all, it doesn't matter to me how you spend your last days before I kill all of you myself. Soon enough, it won't be a floor boss that you're worried about. It will be me. That's how it should have been from the beginning!" After saying all of those words, the villain retreats to an unknown location against us to finish his revenge another day.

With him now gone for now, we help each other out and do a head count to double check if we accidentally left anyone behind on our return trip to this floor from the physical multiverse itself. Thank goodness everyone was present and accounted for. I didn't want any one of us to deal with the fallout of if that ended up not being the case. We soon left behind the boss room and prepared for the next floor extensively. It was only 4 days later that we went up to the 52nd Floor on Day 640 but that's only because we really did prepare things extensively. It was brutal how far we went to make sure we got everything prepared. Once confirmation that the entire Assault Team was ready on Day 640, we teleported to the 52nd Floor just like that. Ai reacts strongly to where we are now: "We've been teleported to the ruins of the Cyberse.. *cries* I still can't get over the damage that was done here all that time ago.." Playmaker replies: "Please try to be calmer about this. Try to feel better about this. Revolver has changed and would now never destroy something like the Cyberse even if someone powerful offered to pay him to do so. It's just not in his interest anymore." Asuna speaks up: "This place is really really ruined.." Sinon nods. I then look up at the sky randomly. "What the hell?! That demonic hand is still slowly putting the L on the Destiny Board in place. I still find out that the letters don't appear as spirit messages but oh well." The chimes of the clock tower on the 49th Floor can still just barely be heard.. To be continued..
