A/N: This story was written as part of several events - #DenBingo23, #WCCBingo23, #MMFBingo23, and #MPFTicTacToe. For the Den and MMF, it fulfilled squares that were Darcy Lewis/Draco Malfoy (O1 & I4). For WCC, it fulfilled I3: Draco Malfoy. It felt like the day had been dragging on, so when the clock finally struck five o'clock, Darcy slammed the lid of her laptop down and shoved away from her desk. Hermione and Jane were to her left, deep in conversation about the reactors they had been working on. Darcy rolled her eyes and pushed the chair in at her desk.

"I'm out of here," she said, rousing Hermione and Jane out of their conversation.

"What time is it?" Hermione asked, furrowing her brow as she fought the urge to return to their research.

"Five," Darcy replied. "The guys should be home soon, and I don't know about you two, but I would rather be at home on the couch instead of hunched over at these computers.

"When did it get so late?" Jane said, looking up at the clock with a confused look on her face. "Today went by so quickly. I guess we should…"

Jane's voice trailed off as she turned her attention back to the screen in front of her. It didn't take long for Hermione to turn back to the screen, and the two of them began rambling to one another. Darcy shook her head and turned on her heel, leaving them both behind as she made her way out of the lab and back home.

About ten minutes later, she was walking into the flat she shared with Draco. She hung up her coat and tossed her bag onto the couch before making her way into the kitchen. She walked over to the fridge and pulled it open, searching for something to make for dinner.

"Maybe I can convince him to get Chinese for dinner," she mumbled, pushing the door of the fridge closed. Darcy glanced back over her shoulder when she heard the door to their flat open. A smile pulled at her lips when she saw Draco round the corner into the kitchen. He looked tired as he took a seat on the island, leaning forward to rest his head on the cool countertop.

"How's your day going?" Darcy asked, chuckling as she watched him slowly lift his head to look at her. A weak smile pulled at the corners of his lips.

"Well," he said, resting an elbow on the counter and resting his chin in his hand. "No one died."

Darcy coughed, holding a hand to her chest as she shook her head. "That's your standard?" she asked, furrowing her brow. "It can't have been that bad."

"Allow me to elaborate on the chaos that was my day," Draco said, crossing his arms over his chest. He leaned his head back for a moment as his eyes closed to think about where to begin.

Darcy rolled her eyes and turned away, reaching for a bottle of tequila from the counter and setting it down before moving to grab two shot glasses. She poured a glass for herself and downed it quickly before pouring one for each of them.

Draco had caught sight of her downing the first shot and shook his head. "Bad day for you, too, sitting around reading Cosmo?" Draco asked, grabbing the other shot glass and lifting it to his lips.

"For your information, Jane and Hermione had me staring at a computer all day," Darcy groaned, downing her second shot. "My eyes are killing me."

"Awh, poor baby," Draco teased, reaching for the bottle and pouring himself another shot. "At least your life wasn't quite literally at risk today."

"So tell me what happened," Darcy said, leaning down to rest her elbows on the counter. She offered him a smile, shaking her head in refusal of more when he offered her the bottle back.

Draco took his shot and quickly set the glass down on the counter, letting out a hiss as the tequila burned its way down his throat. "So I get into the office, and Tony is already barking orders around, demanding that everyone drops everything they are doing to do whatever the hell it is that he wants to be done."

"A normal day at the office when it comes to Tony Stark," Darcy laughed, shrugging her shoulders. "I wonder if he's that way at home too."

"Probably," Draco quipped, "but Hermione's probably got the final say."

A picture of Hermione bossing Tony around flitted into Darcy's mind and sent her into a fit of giggles. It was as though she could hear how the conversation would go and knew that Tony would cave, giving in to whatever it was Hermione wanted him to do - even if it was the last thing Tony wanted to do.

"Anyways," Draco continued, launching into a rant about how the first words out of Tony's mouth to him this morning weren't even a good morning; it was a By the way, your ass is headed to New York to track down Banner and haul him back to Stark Industries. It wasn't so much the lack of social etiquette that bothered Draco but the fact that he wasn't even given time to get a cup of coffee first. The helicopter was already on the roof, ready to go without making any pit stops.

"All I wanted was a cup of coffee," Draco groaned, rubbing his eyes with the heel of his palm.

"At least you would have been able to sleep in the helicopter," Darcy chimed in, cocking her head to the side as she studied Draco's face.

"You would have thought," Draco sighed, hanging his head.

"He sent Scott with you, didn't he?" Darcy asked, a grin pulling at the corners of her lips. She burst out in a fit of laughter when she saw Draco nodding his head slowly. After a few moments, he narrowed his eyes at her, and she stopped, holding her hands up apologetically. "I'm sorry, that wasn't meant to be funny."

"He talked the entire time we were in the air!" Draco shouted, practically jumping out of his seat. "I don't know how one person can talk for so long about absolutely nothing at eight-thirty in the morning."

Darcy slowly nodded her head and laughed. "I now understand how your day went," she said, grabbing the bottle of tequila and popping the cork out. She poured them each one more shot before returning the cork to the bottle. After she returned the bottle to the far side of the kitchen, Darcy grabbed both shot glasses and handed one to Draco.

"Here's to no one dying today," Darcy announced proudly, lifting her shot glass in the air with a smile on her lips. She waited until Draco followed suit.

"And staring at the computer screen all day," he laughed, clinking his shot glass against hers. They both lowered the glass to the counter and tapped it once before lifting it to their lips and downing the shot with a quick gulp.
