Over The Gravity Falls

It seemed that escaping the Unknown was a success, but Wirt, Greg, and Beatrice (and Jason Funderburker aka the frog) ended up in a town that is far away from their home. A town filled with strange mysteries, and a pair of twins spending their first summer in the town of Gravity Falls, Organ. Just what Mysteries will be revealed for the brothers and the Pine Twins? And what is Wirt hiding?

Spoiler Alerts: Wirt is Dipper and Mabel's father, and Beatrice is their mother.

Time Skip (Prologue)

*Gasp*

Wirt shot out of the water's surface with his brother and Beatrice in his arms.

"Wirt. Where... where are we?"

"Home..." said Wirt, "... I think," he whispers as his vision starts to fade but push onward to the shore. As he reaches land, he collapses in exhaustion. Just as two kids an old man and what looked like a hairless gopher coming towards them before his vision turned black.

Time Skip (Chapter 1 Welcome to Gravity Falls the year is 2012)

Wirt "We're from Massachusetts."

Stan "Yeesh, You're a long way from home, kid."

Wirt "Is there a phone I can use?"

Stan "Sure, but don't take too long. I got Tourists coming in, and I don't want to pay long-distance fees." Stan leaves the room.

(Ad Details) Wirt made the call, but it was someone on the other line that wasn't his and Greg's mother. After apologizing to the person on the other line, Wirt went back to the living room only to stop to recheck the date on the Calander in hopes that his eyes weren't playing tricks on him.

Wirt "Oh my gosh, this isn't happening?! What is going on here?!"

Greg "What do you mean, Wirt? We're playing Jason says."

*Croak*

Wirt "Look at this!" he shows the Calander to them.

Beatrice and Greg gasp in shock (or croak in Jason Funderburker's case).

Greg "Wow it's your birthday, Jason!"

Mabel "Happy Birthday!"

*Croak*

Wirt "No not that, this!"

Wirt Points to the number of the year, While the Pines Twins and Soos were standing there confused.

Dipper "What's so shocking about the year?"

Wirt "It's not supposed to be 2013 or Summer. It's supposed to be 1985. And in Autumn!"

Dipper, Mabel, and Soos "WHAT!?"

Time Skip (Chapter ## Blenden's Game)

Dipper, Mable, Wirt, Greg, and Beatrice just finish witnessing and understanding why Soos, the most fun, man-child, cool guy who can brighten anyone's day with just a conversation, hates his own birthday.

Dipper "So that's why Soos hates his birthday. It's the day he realized his dad wasn't coming back."

Mabel "So, how much partying can fix that?"

Wirt "I'm afraid parties can't really fix this, Mabel." Wirt starts to fiddle with a strand of grass. "It hurts Soos' heart to know that his father doesn't bother to show up on his Birthday, or any of his previous Birthdays. And even if he did or no matter how hard he tries to make it up, the pain is still there."

Dipper and Mabel wanted to ask how Wirt knows all of this until a younger Robbie shoots water at Dipper and Wirt getting them wet.

Young Robbie "Heheh, dorks. Young Robbie!"

Beatrice, who was also soaked, glared at young Robbie.

Beatrice "Ah, even as a kid. He's still a jerk."

Greg "A Meanie boa Beanie."

Time Skip (After Leaving Lazer Tag Arcade. Nighttime)

Mabel "I still can't get over how beautiful you look, Beatrice."

Beatrice "I'm still shock and grateful for Soos' Time Wish."

Dipper "Wirt, I've been meaning to ask. And I don't mean to be rude. But how did you know Soos' father issues before us?"

Wirt was hesitant, before taking in a deep breath and then answer Dipper's question.

Wirt "Greg and I aren't fully brothers. We're half-brothers. Our mom and my dad got a divorce when I was little and then she remarries Greg's dad and then Greg was born."

Dipper and Mabel were quiet. They couldn't help but feel so sorry for Wirt's parents.

Wirt "Look. It's not something I like to talk about, but-"

Wirt was cut off and caught off by the twins hugging embrace.

Dipper "You don't have to say anything more."

Mabel "We're here for you."

Wirt was so touch by their generosity; Wirt returns their hug twice as their affection.

Time Skip (Chapter ## Not What He Seems)

Everything was happening so fast no one had time to understand what was happening.

A flash of blinding light engulfs all of Gravity Falls. Inside, there is picture of Mabel and Dipper cracks as an unconscious bodies of Wirt, Beatrice, Greg, Dipper, and Mabel floating. Then, everything comes down to earth. The portal, now a mess of tangled wires and metal, glows bright blue. A figure emerges from the portal. The blue light fades behind him. He walks forward, placing a six-fingered hand on the cover of the first journal, then picks it up and places it into the inside pocket of a long, dark coat.

Dipper "What...? Who is that?"

Stan "The author of the journals..."

The stranger pulls off his goggles, revealing his face who looks nearly identical to Stan.

Stan "...my brother."

"Brother...?!" Wirt whispers under his breath, as he and everyone else were lost for words.

That is untile Mabel states a question, "Is this the part where one of us faints?"

"Ohoho, I am so on it, dude." says Soos, as he faints.

"Me too." Gergory fallows after Soos.

Wirt 'This changes everything.'

Time Skip (Chatper ## A Tale of Two Stans')

Stan "They're your family, Poindexter. Shermie's grandkids."

Wirt 'Shermie?'

Ford "I-I have nieces and nephews?"

Greg "Hi Uncle Pines."

Beatrice "Sorry, but we're not really related to you. But these two are." She points to Dipper and Mabel, "We're their friends."

Ford nodded his head in understanding as he went to shakes Mabel's hand.

Ford "Greetings. Do kids still say greetings? I haven't been in this dimension for a really long time."

As Ford talks to Dipper and Mabel, Wirt quietly ask Stan a question.

Wirt "Who's Shermie?"

Stan "Our youngest brother, Shermie is short for Sherman."

Wirt's eyes widen in shock, 'No. This... This is impossible.'

Time Skip (After hearing the Stans' full tale)

Stan "I couldn't risk anyone learning the truth and sabotaging my mission, so I lied to everyone: the town, my family, your parents, even you kids."

Wirt couldn't believe what these guys had went through. It was one mishap that broke the family apart and driven away a bond between two brothers. And all their father cared about was money and to live off of their son's success.

Wirt 'There's no denying it.'

Time Skip (Later that Night)

Beatrice "Wirt, what's wrong? You've been quiet all after noon."

Wirt "Beatrice. I just realize something. It's even more shocking than finding out that Stan has a twin brother."

Beatrice "What is it?"

Wirt "I can't say it. Not until everyone is settled and is ready to listen. And I don't know how Dipper, Mabel, Stan, and Ford will handle it."

Beatrice "Oka. But be sure that you don't wait too long."

Wirt turn off the lights, as Greg sleeps with his frog and Beatrice sleeps in her own bed of a nest. While Wirt stares at the ceiling as thoughts runs around his head.

Wirt 'How am I going to tell them?'

Time Skip (Chapter ## Dipper and Mabel vs. the Future)

Ford "The glue should be around here somewhere, so keep your eyes peeled. Dipper, let me ask you something. Have you thought much about your future?"

Dipper "No, not really. I mean, beyond graduating high school with a high GPA so I can get accepted to a good technical college with a photography and media production minor to start my own ghost hunting show."

Wirt "Sounds to me that you are already set."

Dipper "Thanks, what about you?"

Wirt "Me? I'm still thinking about it, but I kind of been leaning into researching Folktales and Myths or being a professor about it recently."

Ford "Ha, heh heh! It's like talking to a younger version of myself. If you're so sure of what you want out of life, why wait? Why put up with the drudgery of school?"

Dipper "Heh. Trust me, I'd love to fast-forward the whole thing, but it's not like I have a choice."

Ford "Dipper, I've been thinking. I'm getting too old to investigate Gravity Falls on my own. I need to train an apprentice to help me fight monsters, solve mysteries, and protect this town. And I think I'd-I'd like to keep it in the family."

"What?" Wirt ask sharply and cold at Ford, who didn't even notice it.

Dipper "What are you saying?"

Ford "I've read your additions to my journal and I'm impressed with your potential. What would you say to staying in Gravity Falls after the summer ends and becoming my apprentice?"

Dipper "W-what about school?"

Ford "Dipper, I have 12 PhDs. Your parents would be thrilled I could give you such an advanced education."

Wirt 'I secretly doubt that.'

Dipper sighed and said, "There's also Mabel. She'd be all alone in California."

Ford "Mabel will be fine on her own. She has a magnetic personality. I watched her become pen pals with the pizza delivery man in the 60 seconds he was at the door."

Dipper "Gosh, we've never really been apart before."

Ford "And isn't it suffocating? Dipper, can you honestly tell me you never felt like you were meant for something more?"

Before Dipper could answer, Wirt then interferes in the conversation.

Wirt "Ford. Not all siblings are suffocating! Sure, sometimes brothers or sisters can get on your nerves, but so can you on theirs. That's just how some siblings are. But if we let each other know that we'll be there for them, that we love them, and that we are strong. They will know that we can stand on our own."

Ford was taken aback by Wirt's words.

Wirt "You need to let go of your grudge against Stan before you break another bond."

Time Skip (In the Attic)

After being saved by Dipper, Wirt thought it was best to tell him and Mabel his secret. He went upstairs to find them in their bedroom, only to hear them arguing.

Mabel "Ford's apprentice? Seriously?"

Dipper "Look, I was thinking and... this is a huge opportunity for me."

Mabel starts crying, "Well it's a horrible opportunity for me! I had the worst day of my life! When we turn thirteen, the summer ends, and I have to leave everything behind. You're the only person I can count on and now you're leaving me too!?"

Wirt decides to go in.

Wirt "He hasn't decided yet."

The two pause to look at him.

Wirt "Dipper. Mabel. There's something I need to talk to you two about. It's something that I recently discovered back when Ford and Stan told us about their past, and how I am connected to it."

Dipper and Mabel "Connected?"

Wirt "Your grandfather's full name is Sherman "Shermie" Pines."

Mabel wipes away her tears, "You know our grandpa?"

Dipper "How?"

Wirt "He tries his best to be there for me, even after he and my mom got divorced."

The twins' mouths drop to the floor.

Dipper "Are you saying!?"

Mabel "That you're!?"

Wirt then embraces them in a tight hug like a loving and thoughtful father.

Wirt "I'm sorry, I wasn't sure how you would handle it."

Time Skip (Chapter ## "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back The Falls" (After)

It's still unclear what happened to Wirt, Gerg, Greg's frog, and Beatrice after Weirdmageddon has ended. Some say they found their way back into the Unknown. Others say that they found their way home.

But one thing's for sure, is that this has been an amazing summer/fall. And it's a story to be told for years to come.

As the Bus pulls into Piedmont, California. Dipper and Mabel spotted two familiar faces waiting for them at the bus station.

Wirt "Hi kids."

Dipper and Mabel smiled as they ran off the bus with their luggage Waddles close behind and hug their dad.

"Hi Dad."

Chapter Text

Chapter 1 (International Treasure)

Wirt and Greg were walking down the road with Beatrice flying close beside them as Greg holds his frog, as they look around at all of the old and new buildings as people are riding in covered wagons and cars.

Beatrice "This town seems weird."

Wirt "It looks like the Unknown and home have intertwined one another."

Greg "Yeah, twined." he cheered as he played with some twined that he had found.

Wirt rolled his eyes at his brother's playfulness, that is until he saw a red car driving in reverse coming at them at an alarming rate. The brothers would have been run over if it wasn't for Wirt's quick reflexes, he pulled Greg and the frog out of harm's way.

"Greg! Are you okay?!" said Wirt as he checks over to see if Greg was hurt anywhere.

"I'm good, thanks' Wirt." Greg replied.

"Nooooooooo!"

Startled by the cry coming from this weird carriage, Beatrice lands on Greg's tea pot.

Beatrice "We should get out of here before that thing attacks us again."

Wirt "I don't think we have to worry about that, Beatrice."

To prove his point, an old man came out of the car along with two kids who look identical to each other in opposite genders.

The boy twin "Hey man, are you guys, okay? I'm so sorry for Grunkle Stan almost running you over. I wasn't sure he would've stopped in time."

Time Skip

It was nice of Stan to offer them a room where they could sleep for the night and Soos was generous to help set up sleeping bags and pillows for them for the time being.

Soos "See you tomorrow, Mr. Pines."

Wirt halted at the door frame, "Wait, Pines?"

Stan turns to Wirt "Yeah, what about it?"

Wirt "I um... Well... uh, It's... It's nothing, forget about it."

Greg "Your name is a tree!"

Stan "So it is. Now off to bed."

Time Skip

Wirt couldn't sleep, there was so much going on inside his mind. Beatrice notices this of course.

Beatrice "Wirt I know something is up, what is it?"

Wirt "It just has to be a coincidence."

Beatrice "What's a coincidence?"

Wirt "Stan's last name."

Beatrice "Wirt if you're thinking that Stan is working for the beast then that's a little eccentric."

Wirt "No, not the beast. I know that name."

Beatrice "You know it?"

Wirt "How couldn't I? It's my last name too after all."
