"Hey, uh… Ado? Is there something you want to tell me?"

It was 6:43 in the morning, and a breeze was blowing through Adeleine's hair. She was still processing the events of the previous week, what with the whole misadventure inside the forest. But, despite all that, she really felt sympathy for Daroach, who had caused the whole endeavor. "Nothing, Ribbon. Thanks for asking. However, have you ever noticed how… beautiful the sunrise is?"

"Yeah," Ribbon sighed, "I always keep thinking about the meaning of life. How we have pondered many things."

"Like what?" Adeleine asked. To that, Ribbon responded with, "How did we come to be? Is there such a thing as an afterlife? Why does death happen?" Ado pondered for a moment. Surely, Kirby must've recovered from his injuries. He's probably gonna get back to his squeaky, gluttonous ways. "Adeleine? HELLO?!" Ribbon asked, but Adeleine ignored her fairy friend's comments.

"Go ahead. We'll have to see Kirby. I can't believe how long it has been since we last visited the pink puff," Adeleine commanded, as she grabbed Ribbon by the stomach. Back at Kirby's home, it didn't take long for Adeleine to realize that Kirby brought a friend of his for a visit. "Hi there! Woah, you're HUGE! By the way, my name's Bandana Dee! And yours?"

"Adeleine. This is my ally, Ribbon," Ado told Kirby and Bandana, who both chuckled. "I get it, it's pronounced Add-A-Line!" Adeleine, however, was not pleased. "Stop mocking me like that. Please!"

"Say, would you like some waffles? They're your favorite variety… blueberries!" Bandana Dee asked Adeleine, who grinned from ear to ear. "Heck yeah! Woo-hoo! Ribbon, you have to see this!"

"Why would you get excited over… waffles?" Despite what Ribbon just asked her, Adeleine sat down next to the table, waffles right in front of her. Her mouth was drooling, her hands were trembling to reach the fork and knife. Before Ribbon could snap out of it, Adeleine had already taken a bite of blueberry waffle goodness. "Oh my… This is really tasty! Who even made these wonderful things?!"

"Well… I didn't mention this before, but I'm quite the gourmet cook," Kirby said. "By the way, I've just returned from the hospital. How else would you know how swift my recovery was?"

"Yeah. How else would I know?" Adeleine said, jokingly. She had already finished half of her serving of blueberry waffles. "Alrighty Ribbon, you can have the rest. I'll go outside." Adeleine left the table, wiped her lips clean, and left off to work on her next masterpiece.

25 minutes passed, and Adeleine's painting was just about to be finished. It was a fresco painting of a beautiful sunrise, which she called "Broken Dawn". At exactly 7:45 AM, she packed up her things and returned home. When she arrived, she noticed that Ribbon had already eaten not only the waffles she was meant to eat, but also the ones that Bandana was getting ready to eat. "C'mon… huff… It was… huff… Just a little treat… huff… You can do this," Ribbon groaned as she was struggling to fly.

"Holy crap! Are you alright, Ribbon? You look bloated," Adeleine said, as she rubbed Ribbon's swollen, rumbling belly. "I think that's enough breakfast for one mornin'. Bye, Kirby. Bye, Bandana Dee. See you later."
