Scooby-Doo, Where Are You: Velma and Daphne Solve the Mystery of Love
Fred Jones, Shaggy Rogers, and the rest of Mystery Inc where sitting in their home base they built on Daphne's property. The started with a small base as kids in the swamp and as teens they had built a slightly bigger one and now as college students they needed a larger base and this had a section designed for each of the members. Fred had his section for building bridges and things since he was the mechanically inclined one; Shaggy had his for him and Scooby Doo with some gymnastic equipment and a dog bed for Scooby but he spent most time in the base's kitchen; Daphne had her section decorated beautifully and it had news articles and costumes; Velma Dinkley had her section as the group lab with test tubes and computers and an electron microscope; the office was over in a room by itself with file cabinets of the teams cases and paper work for taxes and anything official they need.
As the group was relaxing you could see Velma look over at Daphne every so often. It was obvious to everyone that Velma liked and Daphne. Fred, Shaggy, and Scooby noticed and started talking about it.
Fred: Daphne said she wasn't interested in dating me; I was upset but it became obvious that she had feelings for Velma. We need to get Daphne to admit her feeling for Velma. They would make a cute couple.
Shaggy: I know, Fred, I noticed on that last case Daphne couldn't stop checking out Velma specially when she dropped her glasses and bent over to find them. Daphne was looking at Velma's butt.
Scooby: Rhat do re do? Re need to make Daphne admit she loves Velma.
Fred: I like your idea Scoobs infact I have a plan. Let's fake a mystery and kidnap Velma and Daphne will be so scared she will be forced to admit she loves Velma.
Shaggy: Are you sure we can do this without the girls figuring out before we are ready.
The three guys start planning exactly what they will do and what there ghost will be. First they decide to use the local Ohio legend of the Scarecrow Ghost who has been around forever. The guys figure since Shaggy's place includes large farm land behind his family's mansion. They would use the ghost to scare Shaggy's family with a pretense of trying to scare off the Roger's family and steal their wealth.
Two weeks after coming up with their plan Fred Shaggy have everything set up including a few secret doors Shaggy knows of because he used use them to sneak out of his house. Fred puts on the Scarecrow costume with paint that maid it shine like a ghost. Well Norvill Rogers aka Shaggy was having diner with his friends and parents at his mansion the Scarecrow shows up and starts swinging a scythe and making everyone run. He chases everyone specially Shaggy. Once he is alone with Shaggy and Scooby; Fred sneaks through hidden door behind the grandfather clock.
Everyone eventually regroups. Shaggy's parents immediately ask Shaggy and the group to investigate the ghost and figure out what is going on.
Daphne being the reporter of the group immediately asked the Roger's about the family history. Shaggy's parents tell a made up story about how the original owner of the land was killed in the 1800s by outlaws and the Roger's ancestor bought the land and built on it afterwards. Shaggy loved how his parents were going along with the scheme.
Shaggy: There is no way I am going looking for that spooky ghost this late at night. Let's wait for Fred and search in the morning.
Velma: Shaggy, we can't wait; you know we need to start searching for clues as fast as possible. You and Scooby go to the east wing and Daphne and I will go investigate the west wing.
Shaggy playing his part pretended to still be scared but he went reluctantly down the east wing. The girls went down the west wing.
Once out of sight of the girls; Shaggy snuck into the hidden passage way where they used to hide the booze during the prohibiton era.
Shaggy: Scooby calm down remember the ghost is Fred. We are going to scare the girls and hopefully force Daphne and Velma to admit they are in love.
Scooby: Roh, I forgot. Let's help Velma and Daphne.
In the west wing of the mansion; Daphne and Velma are searching when Daphne finds a clue showing there is a hidden treasure on the land under neath the West wing of the mansion.
Daphne: Look Velma; it appears the original owner had hidden his money before the outlaws killed him and who ever is behind the ghost wants the treasure. This much gold and jewels would be worth millions in today's economy.
Velma: With inflation; I would guess the treasure is worth at least 20 million. That is a lot of money and we have seen people try schemes for less money than that.
Daphne: true, Velm, Lets keep looking. Knowing Shaggy he is hiding or in the kitchen eating instead of looking for clues.
Velma is starring at Daphne's face and at his breast. She loves when Daphne uses that nickname Velm. She is the only person to call Velma "Velm". Inside the hidden Passage Fred and Scooby are watching the girls looking at the clue they planted. They know there is hidden door a few feet away they can grab Velma and hide her in the East Wing in an empty room.
We see Daphne and Velma walking down the hall. Daphne is slightly ahead of Daphne when Fred pops out in smoke cloud as the Scarecrow. The girls are scared and while they are not paying attention Shaggy grabs Velma and pulls off her glasses so she can't see him. He then carefully ties her hands behind her back and leads her to the room with a chair. Once in the room Shaggy sits Velma down in the huge wooden armchair and tied her arms to the arm rest and he tied her legs to the legs of the chair. He used his ventriliquist skills to make him sound like someone else. He goes back into open hall of the east wing and lays Velma's glasses on the floor. He also locks the door knowing Daphne will easily pick the lock. Then he goes and pretends he has been being chased by the ghosts and hasn't found anything.
Daphne stops running and starts talking to the Velma; her best friend. When Velma doesn't respond Daphne turns around and realizes Velma is gone. At first she laughs; for once "Danger Prone Daphne" wasn't the one captured; but then very quickly she starts worrying about Velma.
Daphne: I need to find Velma; what if this ghost is some pervert his is hurting her. I can't lose Velma.
Fred watches from the peep hole as he sees Daphne start to worry and take off to look for Velma. He could tell Daphne was worried but also knew she was close to admitting her feeling for Velma.
Shaggy runs into Daphne and knocks her over. Daphne starts going on about the clue and that they need to find Velma. Just then the Scarecrow Ghosts appears.
Scarecrow: I have the ugly nerdy one. I will turn her into a scarecrow if everyone doesn't leave the property by morning.
Fred quickly drops the smoke pellet leaving smoke which he uses to disappear back into the hidden passage way and sneaks to where Velma is tied up.
Scarecrow: If your friends don't leave by morning I will turn you into one of my scarecrows.
Velma was scared but her logical mind told her it was just a person in a costume and that the group would find her.
We see Daphne running and searching the east wing and she notices Velma's glasses on the floor. She picks them up.
Daphne: These are Velm's glasses. Velma, are you around here.
Velma hears Daphne and calls out.
Velma: Daphne I am in here; I am tied to a chair. The ghost just left.
Daphne quickly reaches in her bag and pulls out her lock picking kit and quickly picks the lock. Once the door is unlocked she opens the door. Daphne walks in to the room and see her friend tied to a chair. Something in Daphne breaks, she finally realizes Velma isn't just her friend she is her girlfriend and she is in love with Velma. Which means she is a lesbian. Daphne quickly unties the ropes which truthfully weren't tied that hard.
Daphne: Velma, I am glad you are safe. I need to tell you something I figured out something important.
Velma: Daphne, you have solved the case and know who the ghost is?
Daphne laughs.
Daphne: Velma, I said it was important, the case doesn't matter. What I figured out is that I am in love with you and I want to be your girlfriend so will you be my girlfriend?
Velma is shocked Daphne Blake is saying she is in love with her. She can't speak so she just grabs Daphne and starts French Kissing her. As the girls are kissing, Fred and Shaggy and Scooby pop out of the hidden passage and laugh.
Daphne and Velma break apart when they hear Fred and the guys laughing.
Fred: It took you two long enough to admit you were in love.
Shaggy: Yeah, Daphne for a reporter I can't believe it took this long to figure out you were in love with Velma.
Scooby Doo: Can re go get dessert?
Velma and Daphne look at the boys; and it's Daphne who realizes Fred hasn't been around all night she puts the clues together.
Daphne: Fred it was you as the Scarecrow ghost and it was you who tied up Velma.
Velma: Daphne, you can't be serious Fred wouldn't do this.
Shaggy: Velma; Daphne is partly correct, Fred was the ghost; but I was the one who gently grabbed you and tied you up. I used my voice throwing skills to speak for the ghost and to throw you off the sent. Us guys and see you two obviously in love but not admitting it; so a couple weeks we deviced this plan to force Daphne and you to admit your feeling for each other. We did it here because I know the hidden passages and I knew with my parents help we could create a mystery without there being any danger.
Daphne: I can't believe you created a ghost and scared us just to get us to make me and Velma admit we were in love. I should be mad; but I am so happy to have Velma as my girlfriend that I forgive you. I should be thanking you for helping us.
Velma: I do have one question; Shaggy where did you hide my glasses.
Shaggy I put them on the floor outside as a clue for Daphne to let her know you were in here.
Daphne pulls the glasses out of her bag and puts them on Velma's face. She then kisses Velma's cheek.
Daphne: Lets go get dessert like Scooby Doo suggested.
Velma: So there wasn't a mystery after all.
Fred: You and Daphne did solve the mystery of love.

Post Credit Scene:
We see Velma standing with Daphne in front of her parents and Daphne's parents.
Velma: Daphne and I wanted to tell you four we are dating and I will be moving into Daphne's room at her house.
The four parents stand and hug the girls saying how happy they are for the couple. The girls turn and leave heading for Velma's bedroom.
Mr Blake: We are going to have to start planning a wedding. Now that my daughter has finally admitted she is in love with Velma; I bet it would be long before one of the two proposes.
Mrs Dinkley: I concur with Mr Blake. Now that our Velma has Daphne as her girlfriend she will probably propose within the next couple months.
Mr Dinkley: Honey, I agree with you Velma won't wait and I don't think Daphne will either. So where do we think the girls should be married.
The four parents sit around discussing how they think the wedding will go and who do they think will propose first.
