Well, I was going to continue my reboot but I noticed one problem. I can't write Meredith Grey.

Crazy right?

I always have the toughest times with main characters especially with such a complex character like Meredith.

I still love her though, I just don't know how to give her justice.

So I decided I will make a spinoff of Maddison in Los Angeles for right now.

I admit I don't know much about the Private Practice characters either and I probably won't do justice to them, so they will likely be peppered in the story.

Grey's characters will also make appearances.

Now that she's back in the atmosphere

With drops of Jupiter in her hair

She acts like summer and walks like rain

Reminds me that there's a time to change, hey

Since the return of her stay on the moon

She listens like spring and she talks like June, hey

Hey, hey, yeah

But tell me, did you sail across the sun?

Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded

And that Heaven is overrated?

And tell me, did you fall for a shooting star?

One without a permanent scar, and did you miss me

While you were looking for yourself out there?

Now that she's back from that soul vacation

Tracing her way through the constellation, hey, mmm

She checks out Mozart while she does Tae-Bo

Reminds me that there's a room to grow, hey, yeah

Now that she's back in the atmosphere

I'm afraid that she might think of me as

Plain ol' Jane told a story about a man

Who was too afraid to fly, so he never did land

But tell me, did the wind sweep you off your feet?

Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day

And head back to the Milky Way?

And tell me, did Venus blow your mind?

Was it everything you wanted to find, and did you miss me

While you were looking for yourself out there?

Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken

Your best friend always sticking up for you

Even when I know you're wrong?

Can you imagine no first dance, freeze-dried romance

Five hour phone conversation

The best soy latte that you ever had, and me?

But tell me, did the wind sweep you off your feet?

Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day

And head back toward the Milky Way?

And tell me, did you sail across the sun?

Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded

And that Heaven is overrated?

And tell me, did you fall for a shooting star?

One without a permanent scar, and then you miss me

While you were looking for yourself?

Na-na, na-na, na-na

Na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na

And did you finally get the chance

To dance along the light of day?

Na-na, na-na, na-na

Na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na

And did you fall for a shooting star?

Fall for a shooting star?

Na-na, na-na, na-na

Na-na, na-na, na-na, na, na

And are you lonely looking for yourself out there?

ADDISON POV

Flashback

1981

As we walk into my family's manor after prom and sit on my bed, Mark laces my fingers with his and smilies at me.

"This is nice," I sigh, happy to be home from prom after embarrassing myself in front of the popular girls clique with my lisp and with these uncomfortable heels off.

"It is," Mark agrees and kisses me, before pulling back and looking at me with a look of embarrassment, "I'm…sorry."

"Sorry about what?" I ask.

"I shouldn't have done that," he says sheepishly.

"Mark, look at me," I lift his chin up and point him to myself, "You have done nothing wrong."

"Really?" Mark asks sweetly.

"You have nothing to worry about," I reach for a kiss myself, "There."

Soon we're hardcore making out on the bed (it's not easy though with braces) and I feel his hands moving up to the zipper of my dress.

"I'm sorry again," Mark pulls away, "I know you aren't ready for this yet."

"Why do you think I'm not ready?" I question.

"I don't know, he shrugs, "You weren't ready before."

"But I'm ready now."

"Are you sure?" Mark asks, "I don't want to hurt you, Red."

"You won't," I promise, "We both want this so badly."

I then feel his nimble fingers reach for the zipper on the back of my dress, for the second time.

This time he completely unzips my dress though.

I take his tuxedo jacket off and admire his finely sculpted body through his shirt.

Soon we finish undressing each other and lay on the bed.

"I love you so much, Addie," Mark whispers, planting kisses on my neck.

Afterwards we lay in bed, our naked limbs tangled in the sheets.

"Did I hurt you, Red?"

"It hurt a little, but it wasn't your fault," I snuggle in his arms, "Not at all."

"Addison?" I hear my name and a familiar hand stroking my hair, effectively ending my dream.

"Mmm?" I ask, my eyes still closed.

"I made breakfast for you and picked out an outfit for you to wear at work." Mark says, with his hand still on my hair.

I move to my other side, "Look at you, Mark Sloan cooking and picking out clothes," Rubbing my eyes, I give him a peck on the lips.

"Just like the early years of our marriage before things got chaotic," Mark points out and softly grabs my hand, "It's going to get cold if you don't come and get it right now."

I hold out my arms for him, "Carry me!"

"Your wish is my command," Mark picks me up carrying me down the stairs bridal style.

In the kitchen, there's a full breakfast spread prepared with Steven in his high chair all dressed for the day and Emma feeding him.

"Oh, Mark!" My heart feels full at this precious sight, "Our babies!"

"I was going to take care of him this morning, but Emma said she would do it for me. Says it's good practice and would come in handy for when she has the baby." Mark reports.

"That's really sweet of you, Emma," I pat her shoulder, "You should come to the practice with me today."

"How come?" Emma stops feeding Steven and looks at me.

"Well, I have friends who work there and they would love to meet you," I answer before continuing, "And coming to the practice would give you a lot of exposure."

"Alright, I'll come." Emma agrees and goes back to feeding her baby brother who she barely knows but is already forming a bond with.

"I'll take care of the baby today, while you two are at the Practice." Mark sits down at the table and makes his plate of breakfast.

After breakfast, which was absolutely amazing I get ready for my day and halfway through it, Mark comes up behind me, planting kisses on my neck with his arms wrapped around me.

"Mark, not right now!" I slap his chest.

"Why not?" Mark asks as his breath feels hot on my neck.

"I have to go the practice with Emma and you have things to do," I start buttoning my blouse, "Have you told the hospital you're in LA with me?"

"Yes," he says, "I told Richard I'm going to be here for an indefinite amount of time."

While putting on a pair of pumps, my alarm beeps telling me I have to leave for work now, "Gotta go!"

"You and me, tonight, sexy." Mark's voice whispers in my ear with a small note of a growl.

I ignore him and grab my purse, walking down the stairs.

"Mommy loves you, Stevie-bug!" I hug Steven and give him lots of kisses.

After having many miscarriages and a stillbirth, the doctors told me I might never be able to get pregnant again or carry another pregnancy to term but I did and my son, my miracle baby is here. I never want to take anything for granted again.

At the practice, with Emma's arm linked with mine I come up to a couple of my friends.

Naomi asks, "Who's the girl who looks just like you?"

"Guys, this is Emma. My daughter." I release Emma's arm allowing her to walk around.

"Your daughter?" Sam asks.

"She's my daughter," I confirm, "I gave birth at 18 years old but I wasn't allowed to keep her on my mother's orders, however we found our way back to each other."

"I see," Sam nods, "Well, it's nice to meet you, Emma." He offers his hand for her to shake.

"You remember Pete, right?" I point to my daughter.

"I was under anesthesia for much of the time, but I do remember Pete." Emma says, her gaze never leaving Pete.

"Let's have you meet Charlotte now," I break Emma's gaze and grab her arm.

"It was nice meeting all of you!" Emma calls from her shoulder.

In Charlotte's office, Emma and I walk in.

"Char, this is my daughter Emma."

"You didn't tell me you had two daughters, only one!" Charlotte points out.

"It's a long story," I say, "Mark and I weren't allowed to keep the baby because Bizzy threatened to revoke her payments for my schooling and any future schooling if I didn't give her up after giving birth."

"I'm sorry," Charlotte pats my shoulder, "It must've been really rough."

"It was," I agree, "But now she's in our lives for good."

After Emma meets my friends, I pull her to me, "You like Pete, don't you?"

"Hush!" Emma puts her finger to her lips.

"Do you?"

"A little, he's really cute!" Emma looks down at the floor.

"You should pursue him then!" I say, feeling my heart beating out of my chest.

"What if he doesn't like me back?" Emma starts freaking out, "He's closer to your age and what if he doesn't want to date a woman pregnant with another man's baby?" By this point she's pacing.

"Baby," I grab her arm to calm her down, "Of course he will want to be with you no matter what."

"Really?" Emma wonders.

"Really," I assure her, "You won't know unless you see for yourself."

"Okay," Emma takes a deep breath, "I'm gonna go talk to him."

"That's my girl." I smile as I watch Emma walk to Pete's office.

After I dealt with a pregnant woman who's labor is stuck and have a conversation with Maya, I walk into my private bathroom and splash cold water onto my face.

"Red!"

I turn around to see Mark holding Steven

"Hi, babe," I kiss Mark's lips tenderly and give Steven a kiss, "What are you boys doing here?"

"We were in the neighborhood," Mark answers, balancing the baby on his hip, "And since it's your break we're going out to lunch."

"Okay," I agree, "Just let me grab my purse and I'll meet you outside."

Before I can leave my office, I'm stopped by Sam.

"You and Sloan?" Sam questions.

"Sloan and me, what?" I put my hand to my face.

"You're back together with him, aren't you?"

"Umm, yes," I say before turning serious, "What does this have to do with you?"

"If he hurts you and it doesn't work out I'll be here for you." Sam explains.

"Mark is a good guy, he would never do anything to hurt me," I groan at how he's still on this, "We were married for 20 years, together for 26 years and he never hurt me. Not once."
