Our next world is a Disney World this time. Down in the Pride Lands, Outlands, and Tree of Life.

Pride Lands:

Simba and Nala overlooked the Pride Lands from Pride Rock.

"Another day, another time for the Circle of Life to be in perfect balance." Simba said.

"Yes. And another day of being rulers of the Pride Lands." Nala said in agreement.

The two lions made their way down Pride Rock when they spotted Kiara coming their way.

"And where have you been young lady?" Simba asked, giving her a look.

"Simba." Nala said sternly, making Simba back off. She faced her daughter. "But yes, where were you?"

"Relax, I was just getting a drink at the watering hole." Kiara replied.

"Oh good." Simba nodded.

"Although…" Kiara admitted. "I did need to think to myself for a while."

"About what honey?" Nala asked.

Kiara was silent for a moment. But her parents understood.

"You're thinking about Kion, aren't you?" Nala gently asked.

Kiara sighed. "I'm still worried about him. It's been so long since he and the Lion Guard left… I'm really hoping that the venom hasn't turned him evil."

"We understand Kiara." Simba said softly as he nuzzled her. "We miss him too."

"We pray to the great kings of the past that he's alright." said Nala. "Both him and his friends." She then smiled. "But they're all strong. They will get through it. Especially Kion."

Kiara managed to smile. "Thanks, you guys."

The three lions made their way across the savannah. All the animals were either prancing, talking, eating, or resting.

"Quite a lovely day today." Nala hummed.

"Perfect day to be out and about." Nala said in agreement.

They soon came near Rafiki's tree just as Zazu flew down towards them.

"Good morning Royal Family." the majordomo greeted politely.

"Good morning Zazu." greeted Simba. "How is the morning report looking?"

"Well, the buzz from the bees…" Zazu began.

Kiara rolled her eyes as she walked forward a bit and looked around the land. The animals all seemed to be having a good time doing their daily thing.

"Zazu boring you again?"

Kiara jumped and saw Timon and Pumbaa come up to her. It had been Timon who spoke.

"Oh hey you two." Kiara greeted. "And yeah, kinda. What brings you around here?"

"Oh Timon's mom suggested we take a stroll after last night's bug feast." said Pumbaa, belching a bit.

Kiara fanned the air with her paw. "I can see why…" she deadpanned.

"So we decided as part of our little exercise walk, we'd come to visit our favorite non-meerkat family!" said Timon.

"Well it was very nice of you to think of us." Kiara giggled.

Suddenly, Rafiki jumped down from his tree. He ran over to the group, a serious look on his face.

"Rafiki?" Nala asked in surprise.

"What's wrong?" Simba asked.

"I was speaking to the great kings and queens of the past." Rafiki began.

"Oh which ones?" Pumbaa asked, curious.

"Mufasa, Ahadi, Uru, Mohatu, all of them." Rafiki replied. "But then… something happened… I sensed a great disturbance."

The animals traded nervous glances.

"What kind of disturbance, old friend?" Zazu asked.

Pumbaa then spotted something. "Uh guys?" he asked.

"Not now Pumbaa." said Timon.

"I cannot explain what it is… but I feel as if something bad is happening right now…" Rafiki explained.

"Like what?" Nala asked.

"Uh, I don't wanna butt into a royal ruler and worker conversation, but could it have something to do with those elephants turning to dust?" Pumbaa asked.

The six animals faced the warthog.

"Uh… what did you just say?" Timon asked.

"Turn to dust?" Simba repeated, confused.

"Yeah look!" Pumbaa said.

Everyone looked over and to their shock, the elephants were indeed turning to dust. Ma Tembo, Mtoto and his mom, and other elephants watched in shock and horror as Zito, Zigo, Jahori, and other elephants turned to dust before them.

Simba, Nala, Kiara, Rafiki, Zazu, Timon, and Pumbaa watched in shock and horror.

"W-What-What just happened?!" Zazu asked.

"They… they turned to dust! How?!" cried Kiara.

Zazu took to the sky and flew around the Pride Lands to see if this was happening anywhere else.

Many herds were losing half of their population as said half turned to dust and ash.

Makuu's crocodile float was the first to suffer from Zazu's view as Makuu, Hodari, a visiting Pua, and half turned to dust as the rest watched in shock and confusion.

Among the zebras, Muhimu, Kwato, and Hamu watched in horror as Thurston and half of the zebras turned to dust, along with Dhahabu, Starehe, and Raha, who's visit ended in dust. The survivors panicked and ran all over the place.

In the rhino herd, Mbeya, Kifaru and Mwenzi the tick bird could only watch half of the rhinos turn to dust before their eyes. Even with poor eyesight, Kifaru could see something happen to half his fellow rhinos.

Among the hippo pod, hippos like Basi and the Bellow Fellows were among the ones turned to dust while Kulu and Kiaza and the rest watched in horror.

In the giraffes, Twiga and one half watched in horror and confusion as Shingo, Juhudi, and the rest turn to dust. There was nothing they could do to help them.

Haya, Mjomba, Ogopa, and half of the aardwolves became victims too as the rest scurried around in fright.

Where the antelopes were playing, Bupu, Boboka, and half of their fellow antelope turned to dust as Bupu and Boboka's son and the rest screamed in terror.

The gazelles tried to run, but while several survived, the rest, including their leader Swala, turned to dust.

Down in Hakuna Matata Falls, Ma and Uncle Max watched in horror as half of the colony turned to dust.

Not even the fun-making trio of Chama, Mzaha, and Furaha or even the Traveling Baboon Show members Uroho, Mwevi, and Mwizi were spared from a dusty fate.

Muhanga, Tamaa, Laini, Vuruga Vuruga, Kuchimba, Kongwe, Ajabu, Mbuni, Nyuni, and many other animals turned to dust as Muhangus, Shukaku, Pim, Kinyonga, Hadithi, Genet, Gumba, Kulinda, Ona, Tumbili, Kambuni, and many other animals watched in horror and confusion before running around in a panic.

Zazu watched in shock, horror, and terror as he flew back towards the family.

"It's true! It's happening all over the Pride Lands!" he cried.

"What?!" Simba, Nala, and Kiara yelled.

Tiffu and Zuri suddenly ran up. "Kiara! Kiara!" they yelled.

"Tiifu? Zuri? What is it?" Kiara asked.

"Our parents turned to dust!" yelled Zuri.

"And we're freaking out! Badly!" shouted Tiifu. "We don't know what's going on!"

Timon suddenly pointed in fright. "I think you're about to find out!" he yelled.

Tiifu and Zuri looked down and gasped in fright. Both their paws were turning to dust.

"Girls! NO!" Kiara cried.

"Kiara?! HELP!" Tiifu yelled as she turned to dust first.

"What's happening to us!?" Zuri screamed as she too turned to dust.

"Tiifu! Zuri!" Kiara cried as she ran to where her friends once stood. "Where did they go?!"

"What in the Pride Lands is going on?!" Simba yelled.

"S-Sire?"

Everyone turned and gasped as Zazu suddenly fell to the ground, his wings turning to dust.

"Zazu!" Simba yelled. "Not you too!"

"I-I-I think… I think this may be it…" Zazu said weakly. "You were a good king… Simba…" were Zazu's last words as he turned to dust.

"ZAZU!" Simba yelled as he tried to grab Zazu, but was too late. "Zazu no…" he whispered.

"SIMBA!"

Everyone looked and gasped as they saw Pumbaa turn to dust tail first.

"Pumbaa! No buddy don't go!" Timon begged as he grabbed Pumbaa's front legs.

"I don't wanna go anywhere!" Pumbaa yelled as he turned to dust completely.

"Pumbaa!" Simba, Kiara, and Nala yelled in horror.

"Pumbaa! Buddy come back!" Timon cried as he tried to salvage the ash that was once his best friend… before he suddenly saw his own hands turn to dust before him. "Ohhhhh no…" Timon gasped.

"TIMON!" Simba gasped.

"Not you too!" Nala cried.

Timon could only face the lions in fright before he turned to dust completely.

"Rafiki, what's happening?!" Nala demanded in fright.

"The disturbance…" Rafiki replied, showing hints of actual fear. Then he gasped as he saw his hands turn to dust, dropping his staff.

"RAFIKI!" the lions screamed.

"Not you too!" yelled Simba.

"W-We'll save you!" Kiara tried to say.

But Rafiki shook his head. "No… someone else will…" was all he could say before he turned to dust completely.

"RAFIKI!" the lions cried.

Simba looked up to the clouds. "Great Kings… Father… what is happening?!" he demanded.

But no one replied.

Simba, Nala, and Kiara could only look around at the chaos. They had no idea what to do.

Outlands:

At the same time, Janja and Jasiri's clans were either talking or playing around.

"I'm gonna get you Tunu!" said Wema.

"No I am!" said Tunu.

Mzingo flew in towards the group.

"Any sign of those skinks Mzingo?" Janja asked.

"And what about Kenge and Sumu?" added Jasiri.

"No sign of them. They're all long gone." Mzingo replied. "My parliament and I are all in agreement that it's for the best."

"I think we can all agree on that." chuckled Jasiri.

"Hey Janja? Was the way to the jackal den left or right?" Cheezi called.

"Left! The right way is to the crocodiles!" said Jasiri.

"Oh thanks-hey you're not Janja!" Chungu accused.

"You know I could've answered that." Janja deadpanned.

Jasiri chuckled. "Gotta be faster than that!" she laughed.

Suddenly, Madoa ran up from around the corner. And she looked frantic.

"Madoa? What's wrong?" Jasiri asked.

"Did you see a spook or somethin'?" Janja joked.

"What is a spook?" Chungu asked.

"Ooh is that a type of animal?" Cheezi asked.

Madoa looked at them in annoyance. "No I didn't see 'a spook' you two!" she said. "I was going through the Outlands and I saw some hyraxes munching on some seeds when several of them turned to dust!"

This got the hyenas' and Mzingo's attention.

"Turn to dust?" Jasiri asked, confused.

"Whaddya mean turn to dust?" Janja asked, confused.

"Can hyraxes do that?" asked Cheezi.

"Ooh maybe it's a new hybernating move!" Chungu guessed.

Madoa shot them an annoyed look. "No, I mean literally turned to dust like… like THAT!" she suddenly screamed.

Everyone looked and gasped as several hyenas started turning to dust.

"What the heck?!" Janja cried.

"What's going on?!" Jasiri yelled.

Tunu, Wema, and the pups began to panic and run around in fright.

"Janja?..."

Janja looked back and gasped. Cheezi and Chungu were turning to dust too!

"Cheezi?! Chungu?! What's happening to you?!" Janja yelled as he ran over to them.

"Why am I feeling so crumbly?!" Cheezi yelled as the dust reached his head and he was gone.

"I don't like this weird feeling!" Chungu yelled as he too turned to dust.

"BOYS!" Janja cried as he ended up running through the dust that was once his seconds-in-command. "Where did you go?!" he yelled.

"Where did they all go?!" one of the hyenas yelled.

"What's happening?!" another shouted.

Mzingo took to the skies and flew around the Outlands to see what was going on. As he did, he gasped at what he saw.

Other animals across the Outlands were turning to dust too amongst their clans.

Amongst the jackals, Reirei, Goigoi, Dogo, and Kijana were amongst the ones turning to dust as the others watched in shock and horror and began to run around yelling and barking.

At the crocodile pod, Kiburi and many other crocs watched in horror as Tamka, Nduli, and the rest turned to dust before them.

Mzingo then spotted his parliament flying overhead. To his horror, half of the vultures began to turn to dust.

"Hey what's happening to them?!" Mwoga cried in horror as he watched his fellow vultures turn to dust.

Mzingo flew down to the Outlands and landed on a rock.

"It's happening all over the Outlands!" he shouted. "Almost everyone is turning to dust!"

"How is this happening?!" shouted Jasiri.

"I don't know!" Janja cried. "And for once, I can't even explain why!"

Everyone was scared and terrified.

Tree of Life:

At the Tree of Life, everything was going well as normal. Kion and Rani were overlooking the land in front of the massive tree. All the rare animals were having a good time, especially those who had recovered from being sick.

"Everything seems to be going just fine today." Rani hummed.

"I couldn't agree more." Kion said in agreement. "By the way, your blue queen paint is sparkling in the sun today."

Rani giggled. "Kion!"

"What can I say? You look great." Kion smiled.

"You always do too." Rani smiled.

At that moment, the Lion Guard walked up.

"Hey guys. How did morning patrol go?" Kion asked.

"Perfectly good." Fuli replied. "Now that Makucha and all his cronies are god-who-knows-where, things are kinda easier right now."

"Yeah all the animals are feeling much better right now." Beshte added.

"That's good. Which means we can rest easy for a while before we head back to the Pride Lands." Kion said. He then noticed something. "Hey, where's Bunga?"

"Where else? With Binga." Anga replied.

"Yeah, they're doing more contests." Ono added.

Two large belches were heard coming from the forest, one louder than the other.

"Sounds like Binga's winning." Fuli drawled.

At that moment, the rest of the Night Pride exited the tree, Makini right behind them.

"Hey guys. How goes it?" Baliyo asked.

"Good. Everything out here is under control." said Ono.

"Just like last night during patrol." Nirmala said with a smile.

"Did you guys sleep well?" Beshte asked.

"Slept like a baby." Baliyo answered.

"Which means we have enough energy for the day." added Surak.

"So any big things coming up around here?" Makini asked excitedly. "The Lion Guard has been so busy dealing with bad guys and curing Kion and Ono we never got to ask!"

"Well we'd be happy to tell you about them." Surak replied.

"Uh...Kion…" came a voice.

"Yeah Bunga?"

They all turned around to see Bunga walking towards them clutching his stomach in pain, much to their concern.

"You okay Little B?" Beshte asked.

"Too many bugs?" Fuli asked.

Bunga shook his head. "No but I feel a little weird for some-"

Then to their complete shock, Bunga's arm suddenly became dust and soon so does his entire body.

"Bunga!" everyone shouted in alarm.

"Bunga! BUNGA!" Kion cried as he tried to reach for his best friend.

But Bunga was already dust by the time Kion ran over to where he once stood.

"Bunga where did you go?!" Kion cried.

"Rani…?"

Rani gasped in horror to see Baliyo turning to dust right before her eyes. First his tail, then his legs, and then all the way up to his neck. He could only look at Rani in fear.

"Little Brother!" Rani yelled as she tried to rach out for him, but he turned to dust completely. "BALIYO!"

"What is this!? What's going on!?" Surak yelled.

"I don't know, but the same things is happening to them!" Nirmala gasped, pointing to the birds with her paw.

Ono and Anga looked down and gasped, seeing that they were also turning into dust slowly. They exchanged horrified glances.

"What's happening to us!?" Ono yelled.

"Kion!" Anga yelled.

Everyone watched in horror as Ono and Anga completely disintegrated.

"Ono! Anga!" Fuli cried as the dust Ono and Anga became flew away.

"Oh no…"

Everyone looked and gasped as they saw Beshte turn to dust next. He looked back at the group in fear as he disintegrated completely.

"Oh no! Beshte!" Makini cried, trying to grab the dust, but to no avail.

Then to Kion's great horror, he saw Fuli suddenly turn to dust as well, starting with her tail. Fuli gasped and looked at Kion in fear.

"Kion!" Fuli cried as she turned to dust.

Kion was almost in tears. "Fuli! No!" he shouted.

"Ohmygosh!" Makini yelled.

Rani winced and grunted in pain much to everyone's concern.

"Your Majesty!?" Makini asked.

"Rani!" Nirmala cried.

Kion ran over. "Rani, what's wrong!?" he asked.

"I don't know, I-"

The both of them gasped to see themselves slowly disintegrating at the same time, backs and tails first.

"KION! RANI!" Makini cried.

Kion and Rani hugged onto each other for comfort as they turned to dust completely.

"NO!" Makini cried. She looked around in horror. "The whole Lion Guard is gone!"

"My niece and nephew too, what is happening?!" Surak shouted.

Suddenly, Ullu flew up "Night Pride! Hoo-hoo!" she called.

"Ullu, what's wrong!?" Nirmala asked.

Before Ullu answered, she saw something was off. "Wait, where's Queen Rani and Baliyo and Kion and the rest of the Lion Guard!?"

"We don't know, they just turned to dust!" said Nirmala.

Ullu gasped. "No...please, not them too!"

Surak was worried. "What!? What do you mean, 'too?!'" he asked.

"It's awful! Half the animals living at the Tree of Life are turning to dust!" Ullu replied.

"WHAT!?" Makini, Surak and Nirmala shouted.

They all followed Ullu and ran up to the hill. They became utterly horrified to see what was happening. A multitude of animals were turning into dust, including Varya, Feliks, Pasha, Polina, Penguino, Kiril, Astuto, Cek, Tsah, and Heng Heng.

Those that weren't, including Binga, Tangaagim, Kely, Rama, Sasem, and more were in tears, desperately calling out to them and running around in shock, trying to look for them. It was absolute chaos.

Months later:

Simba, Nala, Kiara, and half of their pride sat in the den, alone and miserable.

"How long has it been since it happened?" asked Kiara.

Nala sighed. "I don't know Kiara… it's been so long…"

"Half of our pride and all of the Pride Lands are gone…" Simba sighed.

"I really hope Kion is ok and didn't turn to dust." Kiara said, trying to keep up hope. But it was hard given everything that'd happened.

Suddenly, a foul stench hit their noses.

"Ugh, what is that smell?!" Kiara gagged.

"Geez Pumbaa do you not know anything about restraint?!"

"Sorry Timon I'm just so excited to see them again!"

The lions' eyes widened and they gasped. And then, running into the den were TImon, Pumbaa, Rafiki, Tiifu, and Zuri! Zazu flew in after them.

"Sires! Princess Kiara!" Zazu called.

"Wh-What?!" Simba gasped.

"You-you're all here!" exclaimed Nala.

"We sure are!" Zuri grinned.

"We're so happy to see you again!" said Tiifu as they hugged Kiara.

"H-How?! I saw you guys turn to dust!" Kiara asked.

"We all saw you turn to dust!" said Simba.

"Yes we did. But now we're back!" said Zazu.

"After what felt like so long in some place oranger than the sunset." Timon muttered.

"Then the next thing we know, we ended up back here!" said Pumbaa. "Er, actually back by Rafiki's tree."

"It's happening all over the Pride Lands!" said Zazu. "All of the dusted are coming back!"

"They are?!" the royal family asked in shock.

"Come and see for yourselves!" said Rafiki.

Nala, Simba, and Kiara ran out to the edge of Pride Rock. All around, flashes appeared throughout the Pride Lands and the animals that once turned to dust suddenly appeared alive and well. Those that survived the dusting were shocked to see them alive, which turned to happiness as they embraced those that had come back.

The lions were in relieved shock.

"They're… they're all back!" Kiara gasped.

"It's a miracle!" said Nala. "But how?"

Rafiki chuckled. "I have a feeling that our friends have had a hand in this." he said.

Simba managed to smile and looked up to the sky. "Thank you…" he said quietly.

Outlands:

The hyenas were all lying in their den, still feeling down in the dumps.

"I miss Cheezi and Chungu…" sighed Wema.

"They were funny." said Tunu.

"I miss them too." Janja admitted. "Dense or not, they were good companions by my side, when we were both evil and good."

Jasiri sighed. "I miss everyone from our clan." she said. "It grew bigger when we were together. And we helped one another."

"It's been so long since half of our clan and in fact half of the Outlands just turned to dust." Madoa said glumly.

"It was so scary…" Jasiri said, agreeing with her sister.

Suddenly there were bright flashes outside the den, making all the hyenas jump.

"What in the Outlands?!" shouted Janja.

And when the flashes stopped, there stood all the hyenas that had turned to dust, including Chungu and Cheezi.

"Whoa! The Outlands!" Chungu gasped.

"Are we back?!" Cheezi asked.

"Fur-brains?!" Janja gasped.

"Our clan!" exclaimed Madoa.

"They're back!" shouted Jasiri.

They're back they're back they're back!" Tunu and Wema cheered excitedly.

The hyenas all ran up to their no-longer deceased clan members. Everyone was both surprised and happy at the same time.

"What happened to you guys!?" Janja asked.

"Yeah we thought you disappeared!" said Jasiri.

"Ooh yeah we thought that too! And we ended up in an orange place with water! And yet we didn't get wet!" said Chungu.

"It was so calm and peaceful!" Cheezi said. "And then everyone started flashing like a lightning bolt in scary black clouds, and… well, I guess we're here now!"

Janja grinned happily. "Oh man I'm so happy you guys are back!"

"Aww thanks Janja!" Cheezi said, grinning with his tongue out.

Madoa then realized something. "Wait, if you're back then that means…"

Suddenly, Mzingo and his parliament flew in. All the vultures that turned to soot were back too.

"Hyenas, amazing news!" said Mzingo, a broad smile on his face. "Every Outlander that seemed to have vanished is coming back!"

"Are you sure?!" Jasiri asked.

"We may not have amazing eyesight like Ono and Anga, but we know what we saw!" said Mwoga.

And the vultures were right. Across the Outlands, the animals who died as dust came back instantly.

The jackals embraced Reirei, Goigoi, Dogo, Kijana, and the other jackals, saying how they missed them.

"We're back!" Dogo and Kijana said happily.

"After being in that weird place, I could use a bite." Reirei said. "Remember to go scavenging, right Goigoi?"

"Huh? Oh yeah! W-Whatever you say dear!" Goigoi nodded.

And Kiburi and his crocs happily welcomed back Nduli, Tamka, and the other crocs back to the float.

"It's good to have you all back." he said with an earnest smile. "The float is now complete again."

Tree of Life:

Surak, Nirmala, and Makini sat inside the tree sadly. The glowing green mushrooms were the only kind of light in their lives now.

"How long has it been?" Makini asked, sniffling a little.

"Months." Nirmala sighed. "Months since they died…"

"First my brother and his wife died in that accident, then my mother from old age, and then my niece, nephew, the Lion Guard, and nearly every animal around here experienced a dust death." Surak muttered.

"I just don't get how it happened." said Makini. "Oh if only Rafiki was here… he'd know what was going on… I think."

Suddenly there were bright flashes outside. That caught the trio's attention.

"Did you all see that?" Nirmala asked.

Suddenly, running into the Tree of Life were Rani, Baliyo, and the Lion Guard!

"Surak! Nirmala! Makini!" Rani called.

"We're back!" called Kion.

The three gasped.

"You're back!" gasped Surak.

"You're alive!" exclaimed Nirmala.

Makini was so happy she almost cried. "Oh my god you really are back!" she cried as she embraced Bunga in a hug.

"Hey Makini!" Bunga smiled, hugging back.

"What happened to you guys?!" Nirmala asked as she and Surak embraced Rani and Baliyo.

"It was so crazy!" said Baliyo. "One moment I remember turning into dust…"

"We all did Baliyo." said Beshte. "And then we ended up in some weird place."

"It was orange with hints of blue." said Fuli. "Like a sunset."

"Somehow it was pretty calming considering we all turned to dust." Ono commented.

"Then the next thing we know after some time, we're all of a sudden back here." said Anga.

"You really are back…" breathed Nirmala.

"It's a miracle." said Surak. "We thought you may have reunited with your parents and grandmother."

"We didn't." said Rani. "I don't know what it was to be honest…"

"But we're back." Kion smiled. "And that's all that matters now."

Suddenly, Ullu flew in.

"Hoo hoo! I knew I saw you all flash in out of nowhere before my eyes!" she said.

"Ullu! Oh am I glad to see you!" Rani grinned.

"We all are now that we're back!" said Bunga.

"You're not the only ones!" Ullu said. "Everyone else has come back too! Hoo Hoo!"

"They have?!" Makini, Nirmala, and Surak asked in shock.

"Yes! Come and see!"

Everyone followed the owl outside of the tree. They stood on a hillside and saw that indeed, every animal that had turned to dust was back, happily reuniting with their loved ones through tears of joy.

"They are back…" Nirmala said happily.

"It's a miracle…" Surak said.

"It's un-Bunga-lievable!" Bunga said happily.

Suddenly a blur of blue and white tackled Bunga.

"BUNGA!" Binga said happily as she hugged her fellow honeybadger.

"Binga! Oh man, am I glad to see you!" Bunga said happily.

"I never thought I would ever see you again!" Binga said happily, tears in her eyes.

"Well I am back! And I ain't going anywhere!" Bunga replied.

Kion and Rani looked over to see the animals once more, smiles upon their faces.

"I'm so glad we're all back safe and sound." Rani said.

"Me too Rani. Me too." said Kion as he nuzzled her.
