'What a headache!' Scotty shouted as he scurried around in engineering. The Enterprise was currently crash landed on Khan's planet. He had escaped their custody with his army of followers. The Enterprise needed Scotty's mechical skills to get back up and running whilst avoiding any impending attacks from the deranged escape artist.

Spock, Uhura and Kirk decided to be the first patrol. The planet was covered in thick forest. It was beautiful if not dangerous. The trio walked through the woods, scouting for resources or any signs of Khan to bring back before the judge back to headquarters. They needed to capture him before he hurt anyone else. He had wrecked havoc causing their ship to crashland on his home planet before escaping to no doubt join his loyal followers once again. The trio wandered the woods, hoping for sign of him.

Spock's eyes scanned strategically through the trees as they walked, Jim checking over his shoulder. Uhura walked next to the pair, her breath fast. She wasn't too keen on being part of the bounty hunter party but she knew that Khan needed to be brought before his war crimes.

'Jim.' Spock said alertly. Jim and Uhura stopped in their tracks as three creatures in black suites covering their faces emerged from the trees.

Uhura grabbed her phaser ready.

'Run.' Jim ordered.

The three began running, Jim and Spock in front and Uhura just trailing behind. Two of the figures easily overpowered their speed, cutting Jim and Spock off and causing them to hault. Uhura slowed and turned around as the third one surrounded them.

Jim shot first followed by Spock as they split up, hiding behind trees and rocks as the figures fired back a similar blaster looking weapon. Spock kept his eyes on Uhura and Jim as he took out one of the figures.

Uhura fired at the figure closest to Spock and Jim. She gasped as she retracted her arm back behind the tree. The second figure had fired a sharp object into her right forearm.

She quickly inspected it, pulling out a small dart. It was coated in a blue coloured liquid. She prayed it wasn't posionous.

'Uhura! Are you hit?' Jim shouted in between weapon blasts.

Spock hit the second figure as it fell to the floor, before looking over anxiously to her.

'No! I'm good' She shouted over the distance. The third asailant disappeared behind the tree line fleeing.

Spock sprinted to Uhura as she stood up slowly, grabbing her forearm for observation.

'You are hurt.' His eyebrow crinkled in anxiety.

Jim jogged over. ' Hey you said you were good. What is that? Poison?'

Spock pulled her sleeve up to reveal a very small cut.

'It was nothing. Just a small sharp nick is all.' Uhura said optimistically. The blue tinge still obvious on her skin.

'Mccoy will examine it to be safe.' Spock said pragmatically. Uhura forced a smile and rubbed his arm comfortingly as they turned back to Starfleet.

The trio walked back, Jim leading the way as Spock scanned from behind for any further threats. Uhura sighed. She hated being the centre of attention and she was sure the blue substance was likely just some strange alien weapon marker. She just hoped Scotty could get them out of there soon, Khan or not. She wanted Starfleet and her friends safe again.
