In this chapter, our heroes will fight Conquesta and Conkerer.
Though there is also that great big mothership to worry about.
But let's focus on the Lorwardians for the time being.
And then focus on the mothership afterwards.
Can the heroes defeat them both?
You should know what's at stake by now.
Chapter 72: What Is War Good For?
"We meet again, Deranged Yellow." spoke Conquesta.
To be honest, it hadn't been too long since their last meeting. Maybe it was a small world...or small galaxy.
"You call her Deranged Yellow? To be honest, that doesn't surprise me." remarked Shego.
She was aware of how crazy Atrosis was. She had known her longer than the Lorwardians had...regretfully.
Why exactly was she off her rocker?
Of course, she could ask the same question regarding her employer. But she felt that Atrosis was even crazier...as she had said out loud to her once.
Atrosis noticed that Professor Dementor was hiding inside a cardboard box. It seemed that he was afraid of the Lorwardian.
She then remembered the terror that Conquesta had brought to Dementor and his minions. She couldn't blame him for hiding. Though she wondered how effective that cardboard box would be.
Up until she intervened, it seemed she was unstoppable.
If she hadn't stepped in, Professor Dementor would have met his maker.
Though perhaps Dr. Drakken still wouldn't be able to take over the world, seeing as Kim Possible always thwarted him.
"Are you planning to fight me again? I'm looking forward to that." asked Atrosis.
It seemed Dementor's sidekick was always looking forward to a fight.
"Good guess, but no. I figured that my partner would be a better match for you." answered Conquesta.
Now that Atrosis had thought of it, her rubbery body had protected her pretty well from Conquesta's hammer. And it had protected her from her electricity as well.
Perhaps she figured that if she fought Atrosis again, the outcome would be the same.
She was stronger than before, however. The power juice had made sure of that.
Though as a side note, she wondered where Atrosis got her powers.
To her knowledge, humans did not normally have the power to stretch themselves.
Conkerer prepared to fight Atrosis.
"Huh? OK." answered Atrosis.
She hadn't really been expecting that.
But she was flexible. Literally.
Unfortunately, his agility made it difficult for her to punch him.
It seemed he was faster than his battlemate.
Though he wasn't necessarily stronger.
Conkerer stabbed Atrosis in the leg with one of his daggers.
"Brrr...that's cold." spoke Atrosis.
Unfortunately, she had a problem.
Being exposed to the cold slowed down her elasticity.
"Well, this isn't good." noted the woman.
It seemed the Lorwardians had figured out her weakness.
Well, there was also the vulnerability to sharp objects.
But that wasn't very crippling nowadays.
"This is certainly more effective than whacking her with my electric warhammer." remarked Conquesta. Perhaps there was a way to get past Atrosis's rubbery body.
"I'll say." nodded Conkerer.
Perhaps the cold was the way to go.
To make matters worse, these daggers would also be effective against Gill and Camille.
Gill and Camille remembered well the time Dr. Doofenshmirtz had frozen them with his freeze ray. They never expected that he would win against them so easily. After all, they felt like they could take on the world.
Being frozen hadn't been a pleasant experience.
Shego wondered if she should help her archrival.
Granted, she was obnoxious...but she imagined that they needed to work together to defeat the Lorwardians.
After all, could she not defeat Warmonga alone?
She knew that Kim couldn't...though she initially forgot about the cloaking device that came with her supersuit.
In her defense, Wade had only installed it recently.
Conkerer poked Atrosis with his other dagger.
"Man, I feel like it's winter...even though it's in the middle of summer." noted Atrosis.
It was taking longer for her to form her arm into a sledgehammer.
"We once created winter in summer, actually." answered Phineas.
"And I couldn't bust you for it." complained Candace. Phineas and Ferb would make for good magicians because they always made their inventions disappear somehow.
She could never bust her brothers no matter how hard she tried.
It was as if the boys had a guardian angel or something.
Shego decided that she enjoyed fighting Atrosis, so she decided to blast Conkerer with a fireball.
"Ow! What was that?" questioned Conkerer.
"Another superpowered human? What were the chances of that?" questioned Conquesta.
"Ah-choo!" sneezed Atrosis.
Professor Dementor offered Atrosis some hot chocolate.
'Thanks." spoke the sidekick of a yellow-skinned mad scientist.
She immediately began to drink it, though she was careful not to burn her tongue. It was best to drink hot chocolate slowly. And perhaps add a few ice cubes while you were at it.
Atrosis already knew that ice could weaken her elasticity, however.
Perhaps now that she had warmed up, it would be easier for her to keep on fighting.
As a side note, the professor's number one employee had its perks. Hot chocolate being one of them, it seemed.
Dementor remembered the day that he had first met his sidekick.
At first, he thought she wouldn't make for a good number two. He had been hoping for somebody that looked scary. Preferably someone that could intimidate Kim Possible's blond sidekick.
It wasn't hard to scare him at all. Though monkeys seemed to work best. He wasn't Monkey Fist, however. He preferred having humans do his work for him. Though humans and monkeys weren't so different.
But he was proven wrong about Atrosis when he found out how clever and evil she was. She had succeeded in robbing Fort Knox, something his henchmen certainly wouldn't be able to pull off by themselves.
It turned out that she had the power of elasticity...which helped her be a great combatant.
And of course, she was nothing but loyal to him.
So he decided that he would have her at his side...which made conquering the world a lot easier.
It seemed Dr. Drakken had the right idea when he enlisted a superpowered sidekick.
Shego blasted Conkerer with another one of her fireballs.
"Ow!" exclaimed the smaller of the two Lorwardians. Unfortunately for him, he was having a hard time fighting Shego. His daggers were short range and Shego could attack him from a distance.
Atrosis could attack him from a distance as well, but given that his daggers could slow her down, her attacks weren't nearly difficult for him to dodge.
"Dang. It seems that my partner has his hands full. I guess I'll just have to deal with you myself. Don't assume I'll fall as easily as I did last time, Deranged Yellow." admitted Conquesta.
"OK, sure." nodded Atrosis.
While the superpowered sidekicks took on the Lorwardians, the heroes fought against the Super Super Big Doctor's soldiers.
However, these ones were stronger than the ones that they had fought earlier.
Well, some of them were.
Others were better equipped.
For example, a few of the minions had devices that allowed them to turn invisible.
They wondered how they were going to hit them.
Surely there had to be a way.
Luckily, it turned out Rufus was capable of sniffing them out.
That was how he managed to discover Perry was a secret agent, incidentally. His strong sense of smell. And how he became an OWCA agent in the first place.
At his guidance, Ron attacked the minions.
"Booyah!" exclaimed the blonde college graduate.
Additionally, Phineas and Ferb remembered that they had heat vision goggles.
They had previously designed X-Ray goggles, so they figured they might as well design those as well.
There were also minions that were more burly than usual.
As such, they took more firepower to take down.
Shego blasted Conkerer, causing him to fall to the ground.
"I met my match...how about that?" questioned the fallen Lorwardian warrior. Up until now, he had never lost a battle. Though considering what had happened to his battlemate, he didn't rule out the possibility.
"Take that, you green-skinned menace!" exclaimed Shego.
"Don't you have green skin?" questioned Dr. Drakken.
"Why did I forget that?" asked the brunette sidekick. To be fair, it hadn't always been green. It used to be a normal color. Sort of like Drew Lipsky himself.
Though to her knowledge, Dr. Drakken had never been hit by a comet. He had been mutated by a formula, however.
However, this made Conquesta angry.
"You're going to pay for that." spoke the female Lorwardian warrior. Nobody beat up her partner and got away with it.
In retaliation, she blasted Shego with electricity.
"Aargh!" exclaimed the brunette.
This reminded her of the time that Kim had knocked her into the Diablo Control Tower. That hadn't been fun. There was a surprising amount of voltage left in that tower even though Kim had
And yes, Conquesta's attack messed up her hair once again.
"Hmm, it seems I'm a better match for her than my partner was." noted Conquesta.
Unlike Atrosis, Shego was not shockproof.
So electricity was effective against her.
"This brings back bad memories." noted Shego.
"What bad memories?" asked the blonde.
"Being knocked into a control tower by Kimmy." explained the brunette.
Atrosis hadn't been there to see Dr. Drakken's defeat, though she had heard about it on the news.
"Did you really have to knock Shego into a control tower? That seems dark for you." remarked Atrosis. It made her wonder who was the hero and who was the villain.
Then again, she was pretty sure she was working for a mad scientist. Just as Shego was. Though Dr. Drakken and Professor Dementor had noticeable personality differences.
"I suppose. Though to be fair, I had been backstabbed by my boyfriend not long before." admitted Kim. She hadn't been expecting him to be a synthodrone agent working for Dr. Drakken. Though perhaps the hints were there. His reflexes were pretty fast.
"Well, it's probably best if you don't do that to me. Besides, electricity does not work on me." noted the woman.
"So that's how you defeated Conquesta." realized Shego.
That made a lot of sense. Now that she thought of it, a blunt weapon was not an effective way to take down Atrosis. She didn't really feel it when somebody punched and kicked her. Though she had been defeated by Kim in the past nevertheless. Rufus had figured out her weakness.
Kim decided to help Atrosis take on Conquesta, since she was stronger than before.
Realizing that Kim was coming to her assistance, Atrosis decided to grapple Conquesta.
"Not again!" exclaimed the woman. How many grappling techniques had Atrosis mastered, anyway?
She wasn't able to do so for long, given that Conquesta had really strong muscles.
But it was enough.
Kim used her super strength to punch Conquesta.
The battlesuit combined with her power was enough to take her down.
"Defeated again...have humans surpassed the Lorwardians?" asked Conquesta.
Considering what had happened to Warmonga and Warhok, it seemed possible.
"Yes! We took down the aliens!" cheered Buford, raising his fists into the air.
"It's a bit early to be celebrating. We still have that evil dictator to deal with." reminded Phineas.
"She's not conquering my home planet, and she's not conquering this one, either." Meap promised to himself.
Meanwhile, the Doctor realized what had happened when a scout reported to her.
The news was rather shocking to her.
"What? Conkerer and Conquesta have fallen?" asked the Super Super Big Doctor.
One of her minions nodded.
"They were supposed to be the strongest warriors in the galaxy...how could they lose?" questioned the alien dictator.
It just didn't make much sense.
The minion shrugged.
"We have another problem. How are we going to take down the Doctor's mothership?" asked Baljeet, pointing upwards to where the battleship was.
They could see it flying in the sky.
It was pretty big. And it looked sturdy, too.
Both the Doctor and Mama were on that ship.
"I don't get it...why would they bring an enormous mothership if they were planning to invade the planet through mind control?" asked Wade.
It seemed kind of unnecessary. When you had a mind control plant, you didn't really need weapons to subjugate a planet.
Though he did admit that the mothership did look rather cool. He did wonder what it would be like to fly around in a spaceship. After all, he had watched multiple shows on the sci-fi channel.
"It seems the Super Big Doctor went a bit overboard with preparing for the invasion." noted Vivian.
Though to be fair, Earth was probably better defended than Feebla-oot had been.
If they didn't take it down, it looked like they wouldn't have a good chance of winning the battle.
However, it was plausible that Phineas and Ferb had inventions that could help with that. They could give her a run for her money when it came to making inventions. Their robotic duplicates weren't as human-like as Oliver was, however.
Sure enough, they did have something that could help them.
They had built a giant robot platypus.
Perry was impressed.
"I don't get it, why do aliens use flying saucers to conquer planets?" asked Baljeet. It was as if they were kittens or something. Though the invading aliens looked more like lizards than they did cats.
"I don't know." answered Buford. He didn't read sci-fi, at least not as much as Baljeet did. He was more into fantasy novels. Though there might be a sci-fi novel that he would enjoy. He could consider browsing the library if they managed to win against the aliens.
The platypus ship flew into the sky.
"It appears that the defenders have their own flying aircraft. Well, I'll take care of it soon enough." noted the Doctor.
When she was finished with them, she could move on with conquering the planet.
The Doctor pressed a button and a laser appeared.
The laser fired at the platypus ship.
But the platybot avoided it.
It punched the ship in retaliation, forming a dent.
"Huh. This aircraft of theirs packs a punch. Literally." noted the Doctor.
Perhaps it stood a chance of defeating her. After all, they had taken out her two mightiest warriors. Maybe if she won she could take them back to Feebla-oot to get them patched up.
Still, the Doctor wasn't going down without a fight.
After all, did she not have planets to conquer after Earth?
Granted, she wasn't sure what we should do with Earth once she was finished with it. Although, the fact that the planet was brimming with water made it ideal for swimming pools.
She fired another laser blast in retaliation.
This one hit.
"Our shield's at 85%!" exclaimed Phineas.
Kim sighed in relief. It seemed the damage hadn't been severe.
Phineas and Ferb had designed the force field well.
However, if it reached 0%, they were in big trouble.
So it would be best to avoid the mothership's attacks, if they could.
Sure enough, it was preparing to fire a missile.
But our heroes blew it up before it could hit them.
"Whew!" exclaimed Isabella.
Some spaceships showed up to reinforce the mothership.
They could only hope that they weren't outnumbered. They only had one aircraft.
The spaceships began to shoot at them.
Our heroes were forced to take evasive manuevers.
One of the blasters hit the platybot's arm.
The shield was now at 80%.
Luckily, Ferb launched rockets at the spaceships, causing them to crash.
"Mayday! Mayday!" exclaimed one of the pilots.
"Gee, I hope they're alright." hoped the doctor. They were loyal minions to her, after all. She didn't need to use Mama to take control of them.
She fired a freeze ray at the ship.
The platybot's left eye now had a frost coating.
"Not again..." remarked Atrosis.
Once again, she felt frosty.
Professor Dementor offered Atrosis more hot chocolate.
She glugged it down.
The shield was now at 75%.
The Doctor then fired by firing a heat ray.
It hit the platybot in the left foot.
It now had a scorch mark.
And the shield was at 70%.
Oddly enough, Shego didn't seem to really feel that, though everyone else was now feeling warmer than usual.
Oh, wait. Fire was her speciality.
The platybot fired a bomb at the mothership.
Smoke was starting to come out of it.
"I might want to hurry up and take that robot down..." thought the Doctor to herself.
So, she fired the death ray.
As the name implied, it was very powerful.
Now the shield was at 20%.
And yes, the platybot barely withstood the destructive green laser beam.
An alarm blared in the platybot.
"I'm scared!" exclaimed Baljeet.
"Me too!" nodded Rufus.
Were they going to crash?
Luckily, Phineas fired a laser beam at the mothership.
It was a direct hit.
And it was enough to defeat the Doctor.
"No!" exclaimed the Super Super Big Doctor.
The mothership crashed into the ground.
"Whew!" said the relieved Baljeet.
"You think someone will scream Curse you, Perry the Platypus?" asked Dr. Doofenshmirtz. He had lost count on how many times he had said that, to be honest.
"Why would anyone want to curse Perry the Platypus?" questioned Phineas. He knew he wouldn't. Perry was his pet.
Doofenshmirtz chuckled nervously.
"Is this the end of the invasion?" asked Isabella. Both of the Doctor's comrades and her mothership had fallen. Literally in the latter case.
They sure hoped it was. They wouldn't have to worry about being mind controlled if that was the case.
Taking down the mothership would seriously hinder the invasion, at the very least.
They decided to exit the platybot, as it was in need of repairs.
It wasn't safe to fly around the airship in its current state.
Though they did admit that Phineas and Ferb had built something very impressive.
Candace wondered if her mother would see it.
But probably not.
Suddenly, the Doctor emerged from the wreckage of her ship.
She was riding a mechanical throne.
Which wasn't a big surprise to anyone.
"You've really caused me a lot of trouble, you know that? You took down two of my most loyal comrades! And now you've gone and wrecked my mothership as well!" ranted the Doctor.
"I know. I'm surprised we made it this far." noted Camille.
They were really making conquering the planet difficult.
Things seemed like they were going to be so simple, too.
Who would have thought that she would experience so much resistance?
On the lighter side of things, Mama hadn't wilted.
So her plan hadn't failed.
Still, it was harder to protect the plant now that the mothership had been wrecked. It decidedly needed repairs.
However, it seemed that her forces had taken a beating. Would anyone
"I think you've done enough after what you did to Feebla-oot." noted Kim. It was like Dr. Drakken trying to sell his brainwashing shampoo. It was evil.
Though unlike the cranium rinse, this plan had worked surprisingly well. You couldn't hold your breath forever, and once you breathed in the spores, you were under the Doctor's control.
It seemed possible that having the right amount of willpower could protect you from the spores. But given how chickenhearted the Cowards were, they did not have that kind of willpower.
Dr. Drakken couldn't help but feel a tad jealous. It was surprising how fast the Doctor had conquered the planet.
"I guess I'll just have to deal with you myself. Luckily, I came prepared for such a situation." said the Super Super Big Doctor.
"You did? How many contingency plans do you have?" asked Baljeet.
"To be honest, I don't remember them all." answered the Doctor.
She pressed a button on the right armrest of her throne and a green force field appeared.
It looked like they were going to have to get ready for another fight.
Could they defeat the Super Super Big Doctor?
Well, the mothership has been shot down. But now our heroes must deal with the Doctor herself. Will that be the final battle?
I suspect an even bigger threat is on the horizon.
But anyways, in the next chapter, we'll see our heroes' climatic battle with the Doctor.
I bet you'll find that to be exciting.
