Author's Note: Hey, everyone. Here I am with another fanfic, and this one's a little special.

As you know, I am writing a crossover series between Marvel heroes and Disney Channel shows. Well, now, I am beginning a new series between DC Superheroes and Cartoon Network shows. I'm calling it the Teen Titans series. Yes, I know there's already a Teen Titans show on Cartoon Network, but this isn't the same. I'll be using a handful of CN shows and crossing them over with the DC Universe until I eventually assemble all the stories into one big crossover where they all work together. So far, I have 4 or 5 stories planned, but it doesn't hurt to have a little more. As some of you may know, I'm taking a break from requests, but if anyone has an idea for a DC/Cartoon Network fanfic, I'll consider that an exception.

Here is he start to the Teen Titans series. Enjoy. Any and all comments are welcome.

On his way out of Wayne Manor, the young 16-year-old, Dick Grayson, turned to the last man he had to say goodbye to. Before he got on his motorcycle, he turned and hugged the elderly butler who helped raise him for the past four years: Alfred Pennyworth.

"Are you sure about this, Master Dick?" Alfred asked.

"Yeah." Dick said. "It's about time I became my own man." He looked up and saw the shadow of his father figure. He couldn't see his face, but he knew he was looking down on him to see him off.

"Well, I suppose I've always known it wasn't going to last forever." Alfred said. "I'll be sure to give everyone else your regards. Even Ms. Gordon."

"Yeah. Even Babs." Dick said before getting on his motorcycle. With his red briefcase and bag of essentials hanging beside him, he was ready for the road ahead of him.

"Where will you go?" Alfred asked.

"I don't know." Dick said. "But here's what I do know: the next time you see me, I won't be the same Dick Grayson that you knew."

He revved up his motorcycle before riding it just outside the manor gates. It was only a matter of time after that when he made it just outside Gotham City limits. He was on his way to the next chapter of his life.

ONE MONTH LATER…

High above the orbit of the Earth, an epic space battle took place. A single small ship was under attack by a massive brown ship. It was completely defenseless against the relentless bombardment.

Inside of the helpless ship, two alien women were trying their best to hold out, but they both knew it was hopeless. One was an orange-skinned girl with long, red hair, bright-green eyes, and a small, purple outfit. The other was a mint green woman with two tentacle on her head beside her three eyes and another tentacle on her back. She had four long fingers and ankles that bent inward. She wore a tight-blue jumpsuit.

"Where did they come from?" the orange girl asked in an alien language.

"They must have hidden themselves behind a moon to take us by surprise." Said the other alien woman. "I don't know who this is, but it's obvious what they want."

"The Omnitrix." The orange girl looked over to the metallic orb floating beside them. "What do we do?"

"Here's what we do, Koriand'r. You are to go to the planet below. There's someone there who can help. I've already input his present coordinates in the escape pod. Just go and find…"

The last explosion interrupted them. It shook the ship separating the two girls. As they moved away, the ceiling gave way and collapsed in between. Koriand'r breathed heavily understanding her situation.

"Xylene! XYLENE!" Koriand'r cried out. But she knew it was in vein. She immediately took the orb and headed to the escape pods.

Since it was the beginning of summer vacation, it should have started off as "awesome" as Ben Tennyson would have wanted. Instead, the 10-year-old in the black-and-white T-shirt began his cross-country road trip in what he would call "the worst". Not only did his Grandpa Max try to feed him living critters, but he has to also be with his intelligent cousin, Gwen, and they do not get along.

Out of frustration, Ben stormed off for a walk in the woods. "Aw, man. This might be the worst vacation ever. I might as well have gone to summer school." He said to himself before kicking a rock over some bushes.

"Ow!" a voice cried out from the other side of the bushes. Ben backed up a step as an unfamiliar teenager poked his head out rubbing the top of his black hair. It was Dick Grayson. "You trying out for the rock-throwing league or something, kid?"

"Oh, man. I'm so sorry. It was an accident." Ben said.

Dick sighed. "Let me guess. Not having a good time in the woods?"

"You could say that. I'm Ben."

"Dick Grayson."

"Again, sorry for the rock."

"It's cool." Dick said. "Believe it or not, I've been hit with worse."

All of a sudden, a bright light flashed in the sky. Both Dick and Ben looked up and spotted a meteor flying above.

"Whoa. A shooting star." Ben commented.

Ben's amazement came to a sudden end when the "shooting star" suddenly changed its course right to his direction.

"GET DOWN!" Dick yelled as he grabbed Ben and pulled him away.

Dick and Ben moved away just in time. Right as they dodged, the meteor crashed right into the ground leaving a big crater all around it. After the crash ended, Ben pulled himself out of Dick's grip and moved closer seeing a large, metal pod.

"Looks like a satellite or something." Ben said.

Suddenly, the pod opened up slightly. A metal orb slipped out through the narrow crack and landed right at Ben's feet. When it touched him, it opened up revealing a black, watch-like device with a green hourglass symbol on it.

"A watch?" Ben asked. "What's a watch doing in outer space?"

"I don't know," Dick said, "But you should probably step away from it."

Despite Dick's warning, Ben's curiosity got the best of him. He picked up his hand and reached down to it. Instantly, the watch opened itself up, shot up, and latched itself around Ben's wrist. Ben gasped in surprise trying to shake it off, but it didn't move an inch.

"Get it off! Get it off!"

"Why did you try to pick up the strange watch?!" Dick asked.

"Hey, give me a break! I'm just a kid!" Ben replied. "Just help me get this thing off!"

"All right! All right! Let me see it."

Ben held up his new watch over to Dick who looked closely at it. He gripped his fingers on its sides and gave it a slight pull. He pulled harder with more force. His third attempt made him use all the leverage he could use trying to get the watch off. But it hasn't moved. Dick's fingers slipped off and he fell backwards.

"Yeah, that thing isn't coming off." Dick said.

Ben groaned looking at the watch itself. "Seriously, what kind of watch doesn't tell the time and can't be removed? Wait, I think this here is a button."

"A button?" Dick asked.

Ben pressed his thumb on the green button underneath the hourglass symbol. The face of the watch popped up and began to glow. On its screen was a shadow that changed shape with each turn on he rim.

"This is cool." Ben commented.

"Ben, we don't know what that thing is." Dick said. "Can't you put that thing back how you found it before something bad happens?"

"All right. I'll put it back." Ben said. He pressed the watch's face down, and suddenly, a bright light flashed nearly blinding Dick.

Inside the glow, Ben's body began to change at a rapid pace. He grew taller and his plump, fleshy body suddenly changed into red rocks that were lit up in burning heat. Even his head had been surrounded by a ball of fire. The watch disappeared from his wrist, but the same hourglass icon appeared in a gray-and-white circle on his chest.

"AAAAAHHH!" Ben shouted in a deeper voice. He jumped around seeing the heat light up his whole body. "I'M ON FIRE! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!"

"Okay! I've seen some pretty crazy stuff, but this is a new one!" Dick yelled. "Ben, is that you? Are you okay?"

"No, of course I'm not! I'm on fire and…" Ben suddenly stopped when he didn't feel any pain. "Hey. I'm on fire… and I'm okay."

"Okay. Just be careful. I need to make a call." Dick said. He stepped away and pulled out his cell phone. A quick dial later, and an elderly voice answered.

"Dick? Is that you?"

"Hey, Lucius." Dick greeted.

Lucius chuckled on the other end. "It's great to hear from you. How have you been so far?"

"Well, the trip was okay, up until what just happened." Dick said.

"Oh? What's this about?"

"Well, some strange ship crashed right near me and dropped a weird-looking watch that suddenly latched itself on a passing kid. Not only that, but it seems to have changed him into some kind of fire monster."

"A watch that turns a kid into a fire monster?" Lucius said. "That is unusual. Have you notified Bruce?"

"No. I don't want to get him involved in this just yet." Dick said. "I know this is a long shot, but I called you wondering if you'd know something about this."

"Hmm. I'm going to need to analyze this device first." Lucius said. "Bruce tells me you brought a scanning device in your briefcase. Think you can scan the watch and upload me the data?"

"Maybe." Dick said. "Problem is, the watch transformed with him. I can try to get it back, but…"

SNAP!

Dick was caught by surprise at the sound of a loud, snapping noise from beside him. He looked and saw a freshly burned tree branch which Ben was pointing at. He blew into his finger like it was a gun he just fired.

"What was that?" Lucius asked.

"I'm gonna have to call you back." Dick said in an annoyed tone. He hung up his phone and confronted Ben. "What was that?"

"Sorry. Did I scare you?" Ben asked with an amused smile on his face.

"I don't scare easily, and that's not the point." Dick said. "What were you thinking?!"

"Probably that I got these cool new powers. Watch this." Ben said closing his fiery hands together. He then separated them making a fireball as big as his head. He prepared to throw it.

"Wait! Don't!" Dick shouted, but it was too late.

Ben threw the fireball like he was a pitcher at a baseball game. It was thrown so hard, it shot itself right through a set of trees. Ben looked proud until he realized the fire didn't stop. Instead, it began to grow and rapidly spread to the surrounding trees.

"Uh, oh." Ben gasped. He looked at Dick who looked at him in aggravation. "That's what you were afraid of, isn't it?"

"Yes." Dick growled.

"Uh… Don't worry! I can fix it!" Ben insisted as he tried to stomp on a flame.

"Don't, you idiot!" Dick shouted. "You're made of fire! You'll only make it worse!"

Dick was right. Instead of stomping the fire out, Ben was only making it bigger.

"Oh, man. This would be so cool if it weren't so… not cool."

"You think?" Dick asked. "Look, come this way! I have something that could help!" He proceeded to lead Ben to his campsite.

Despite the fire that surrounded it, Dick's campsite looked standard with a campfire at the center and a tent pitched in the back. The only thing that was different was the motorcycle that was propped up on a tree. Dick headed to the bike and reached out the briefcase that hung from it.

"Uh, buddy. The fire's spreading." Ben said.

"I'm aware!" Dick said opening the briefcase. "Just give me a minute!"

"Well, whatever you do, do it… AAH!"

Ben was suddenly rushed by a cold stream that extinguished the fire on his head. He turned to find his red-headed cousin, Gwen, looking scared right at him while holding a fire extinguisher.

"AAAAAAHHHH!" Gwen screamed.

"Look, I know I look weird, but there's no reason to be scared." Ben said before getting smacked by the fire extinguisher in Gwen's hand.

While Ben was down, Gwen fired another stream from her extinguisher putting out his flame again. After growing his fire back, he looked at his cousin who had no idea who he was.

"I don't know what you are, but you'll stay down there if you know what's good for you." Gwen warned. Ben's only response was a small spark of fire that blew up on Gwen's foot. It wasn't harmful, but it did bother her suddenly. "I warned you!" Gwen was about to attack again.

"Don't even think about it, freak!" Ben said.

Gwen stopped. She gasped suddenly realizing that there was only one person who would refer her to something that specific. "Ben? Is that you? What happened?"

"Well, when I was walking, I ran into this guy, and suddenly, this meteor fell from the sky and almost smushed me, except that it wasn't a meteor or a satellite, but this cool watch thing that jumped onto my wrist. And when I tried to get it off, I suddenly was on fire, only it didn't hurt when I was accidently starting this mega forest fire."

"Gwen!" cried out another voice in the flames. Ben and Gwen's Grandpa Max arrived with his Hawaiian shirt illuminating in the light of the surrounding fire. "Are you all… What in blazes?" He stopped when he saw Ben in his fire form.

"Hey, Grandpa, guess who." Gwen said.

"It's me, Grandpa." Ben said.

"Ben? What happened to you?" Max asked.

"Well, when I was walking, I ran into…"

"Um, excuse me?" Gwen interrupted. "Major forest fire burning out of control. Remember?"

"What do we do?" Ben asked.

"I got this." Dick said as he held up two handfuls of marble-sized orbs. He ran over to the flames and threw them all in different directions. Once they hit the burning ground and trees, they exploded into a blue mist that filled the air.

"What were those?" Ben asked.

"Call it an advanced form of carbon dioxide with a few other fire-retardant chemicals for added effect." Dick said. "Something that my old man cooked up back in Gotham for Firefly-related incidents. Watch and learn."

Right before the Tennyson family's eyes, all the fires began to get smaller. Within a matter of seconds, they were all put out. The only fires left came from the campfire and Ben's burning body.

"Whoa. Nice move." Gwen said.

"You just had that with you?" Max asked.

"Never hurts to be prepared." Dick said. "Now, concerning the fact that your boy here just turned into a walking lava rock, how's about we all sit down and talk all this out."

"Yeah. That sounds like a good idea." Ben said.

Back at the crash site, the spaceship door was still slightly open. Suddenly, an orange hand slipped through and forced it all the way open. Koriand'r then stepped out nearly out of balance and holding her head as if she had just woken up from unconsciousness. After shaking herself, she gasped seeing the empty orb on the ground before her.

"The Omnitrix."
