Later in the evening, in the secret room, was the chiefess of Jaw sitting in her chair sharpening her spear with a stone, releasing sparks in the process.

Soon after, a lean, but muscular man entered the room.

"I'm here to report, chief." said the man.

"How did the mission go, Nur?" asked the chiefess, revealing the man's name.

"Unfortunately, they also failed. Both in killing the girl and in bringing Namaari to us." said Nur.

That caused the chiefess to pass the stone through the spear with such force and speed that it released quite a few sparks, which lit up her face long enough to show a scar on the right side of her chin.

"How did it happen this time?" asked the chiefess.

"According to the reports from the ones we sent, they were about to perform their duty when some strange subjects showed up." said Nur.

"What kind of subjects?" asked the chiefess.

"One was a guy who possessed some different weapons than the ones we know. Another was a girl who could send ours flying like paper in the wind, but the weirdest thing is that four of them were, in their words, humanoid turtles." said Nur.

The chiefess stopped what she was doing as soon as she heard that.

"Our skilled warriors defeated by some turtles?" asked the chiefess sounding calm, but angry at the same time.

"They were no ordinary turtles. They fought like skilled warriors. I would venture to say they would be on par with Kumandra's best." said Nur.

"If you are saying that, then, those turtles shouldn't be underestimated." said the chiefess.

"In my opinion, chief, we should think about our next move with caution. According to our spies, Virana has let those creatures and their allies stay in Fang. With them present, our chances of accomplishing our purpose will be greatly hampered." said Nur.

"I know. Until we think of a new plan, have our warriors double their efforts, their training, their strength, double everything." said the chiefess.

"As you command, chief." said Nur before leaving the room.

"You really made some interesting friends, little sister, but that won't stop me in my ambition and if those turtles ever intrude again…" began the chiefess before driving the spear hard into the ground. "I'll be happy to hang their heads on my wall."

The sun rose, bringing a new day to Kumandra, especially to Fang.

Soon after the NY group woke up, they met up with Raya and Namaari for breakfast together.

During that time, the turtles and their friends were telling them about some of the adventures they had in New York fighting both mutants and gangs like the Purple Dragons.

All the while, Raya and Namaari were listening with excitement, for they couldn't imagine how many things they had experienced.

"Wow. You have really lived through a lot of adventures." said Raya.

"Although it bothers me a little that no one knows what you are doing for the city and each other." said Namaari.

"Maybe, but we're not doing it for the fame, we're doing it to protect innocent and defenseless civilians." said Leo.

"And that's more than enough for us." said April.

"It's our bread and butter. Booyakasha." said Mikey.

"Hey, I've been hearing that since we met you, but what does it mean?" asked Raya.

"Nothing. It's just something I like to yell. It's like my battle cry." said Mikey.

"And 'Goongala'?" asked Namaari.

"Casey Jones' personal trademark. If you want to use it, you're going to have to pay for it." said Casey.

"You know? Now that you mention it, I'd like to ask you for a favor." said Raya.

"What do you want?" asked Donnie.

"Could you have a duel with me?" asked Raya.

"What?" asked Leo.

"After watching you fight, I felt like testing your skills against mine." said Raya.

"That's not a bad idea. I'd like to have a duel with you too." said Namaari.

"Ha. You'll both lose badly." said Raph.

"Well, we won't know that until we try." said Raya crossing her arms.

"She's got a point there." said Donnie.

"Besides, it might be good for both sides to learn a little, don't you think?" asked April.

"Well, if that's what you want, that's fine." said Leo making both girls smile.

Later, in a small training field, there were two bouts.

On one side, there were Leo and Raya while on the other were Namaari and Donnie.

"Jo, I should have brought popcorn." said Casey.

"Or some pizza." said Mikey.

Raph rolled his eyes before smacking them both upside the head.

"Ready?" asked April raising her arm as the four of them got ready to fight. "Go."

Leo and Raya lunged at each other and the moment they got close, their swords clashed together before thrusting at each other.

Raya charged towards him and tried to hit him with her sword, but Leo was able to dodge the attacks while some he blocked with his katanas.

Suddenly, Leo took a leap, going over Raya and landed behind her for a second before trying to hit her from behind, but Raya was fast enough to block his sword, though she wasn't able to block the kick he gave her and knocked her back.

Then, it was Leo's turn to charge towards her and try to hit her, but Raya was managing to dodge or block his attacks.

On a swing from Leo, Raya dodged it by ducking and quickly moving to Leo's side before trying to hit him with her sword, but Leo blocked it, though the force pushed him back a bit.

It was then that Raya turned her sword into a whip and tried to hit Leo with it, but he proved quick enough to dodge it all the while.

Suddenly, the whip wrapped itself around one of his katanas and Raya gave a sharp tug to pull it away from his hand, but Leo kept his grip on his sword, causing the two to stay in a game of tug-of-war.

They stayed like that for a while until, at last, Leo charged towards her, surprising her long enough for him to give her a double kick that knocked her down.

She was about to get up until she saw Leo's katana pointed at her.

Leo gave her a smile before exchanging the katana for his hand, which Raya accepted before Leo helped her up.

"You fought very well." said Leo.

"Thank you. You didn't do too bad yourself." said Raya.

While that fight was going on, in the other, even though the start signal was given, the two remained in their positions, watching the other intently.

"You know? I'm still amazed that you can defend yourself with a simple staff." said Namaari.

"Well, I admit it's simple, but don't underestimate a staff when it's in the right hands." said Donnie.

"In that case, I won't." said Namaari before quickly charging towards the mutant turtle.

Namaari was quick to move quickly as she tried to hit him with her swords, but Donnie was just as quick dodging or blocking the attacks.

Donnie remained in that state until he found an opening, which he took advantage of to hit it with the tip of his staff, knocking her back a bit before charging towards her with his staff at the ready.

Now it was Namaari who was on the defensive against Donnie's attacks.

When she saw her chance, she gave Donnie a kick that pushed him back before she lunged towards him with her swords, but he blocked both swords with his staff before pushing Namaari away from him.

Before she could act again, Donnie passed the staff between her legs and, with a swift movement, caused Namaari to fall to the ground.

She was about to get up when she saw the tip of Donnie's staff halfway to her face before a blade shot out from the tip, coming within inches of her face.

Donnie pulled the staff away to reach out to her with a smile which Namaari accepted before he helped her up.

"It certainly is a great weapon in the right hands." said Namaari.

"Yes, but I admit you almost had me there." said Donnie.

After the two bouts, everyone gathered around.

"I knew you would end up biting the dust." said Raph crossing his arms.

"True, but it was also fun." said Raya.

"You all are really strong and skilled." said Namaari.

"We just used what Master Splinter taught us." said Leo.

"I'd really like to meet him." said Raya.

"Me too. He sounds like a great person. Or rat. You know what I mean." said Namaari before they all laughed lightly.

Meanwhile, Mikey was strolling around the grounds of Fang with no problems.

Because dragons now lived among them, people saw Mikey normally.

Well, a little surprised at first, but then normally, as they took him for a dragon from faraway lands or some other mystical creature.

For Mikey, that was exciting, since in that place they didn't have to live in hiding or wait for the area to be clear and dark before they could go out.

Besides, he loved the place and its natural beauty although a part of him wished he could see the other kingdoms, especially Heart, Raya's home.

He was so distracted by the surrounding scenery that he didn't notice where he was going and ended up bumping into someone.

"Oh, sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going." said Mikey.

"No, don't worry. It's my fault too for not warning." said a young Asian woman with long, messy, blue-white-violet-white hair.

That's when the woman noticed Mikey.

"Wow. I've never seen anything like you." said the woman.

"I get that a lot." said Mikey with a shrug.

"What kind of creature are you?" asked the woman, looking at him from all sides. "You look like a turtle, but you also look like a human."

"Well, I'm both. I'm a mutant." said Mikey.

"Mutant? Cool! What's that?" asked the woman.

"It's a long story." said Mikey.

"Oh, I love long stories, can you tell me?" asked the woman eagerly.

Seeing that she really wanted to know, Mikey shrugged and proceeded to tell it all.

30 MINUTES LATER

"And that's basically my whole story." said Mikey.

The woman stood completely transfixed with her eyes and mouth open.

"You… are… UNBELIEVABLE!" screamed the woman at the top of her lungs, sending the jungle birds flying. "You are literally the most amazing person I have ever seen in my life!"

"Ha. Well, I can't take credit for it. My brothers did their part too. It's because of our teamwork that we survived all those adventures." said Mikey.

"You have to tell me all about it! Right now!" said the woman with great excitement.

"All right. If that's what you want." said Mikey.

Meanwhile, the rest of the NY group was walking through the palace corridors with Raya and Namaari.

"So, how are you liking Fang so far?" asked Namaari.

"It's really interesting. I admit it feels weird to be able to walk among people without any problems, but it allows us to be able to learn more about this place." said Leo.

"Considering that there are dragons in this world, it's not quite rare to see beings like us." said Donnie.

"It's weird to me, but at the same time, I like it." said Raph.

"If you like this place, you should see Heart. It gives this place a run for its money. No offense." said Raya to Namaari.

"No offense taken. I feel the same way." said Namaari.

"I'm sure Master Splinter would like to visit both kingdoms." said April.

"And do the five of you live alone?" asked Raya.

"Not always. Sometimes April and Casey come to spend a night or two." said Leo.

"Plus, there's Karai with them." said Casey.

"Who is Karai?" asked Namaari.

"Oh, it's their sister." said Casey.

"Sister?" asked Raya and Namaari in unison.

"You didn't tell us you had a sister." said Raya.

"Well, you didn't ask." said Raph.

"Touché." said Raya.

"And she's like you?" asked Namaari.

"Well… If you mean a mutant turtle, she's not." began Leo not wanting to tell the truth about his sister. "She's Splinter's biological daughter that he had long before he mutated."

"Wait, if she was born before he mutated, how come she wasn't with him when that happened?" asked Raya.

"Let's just say she didn't exactly have a fairytale childhood." said April.

"What do you mean?" asked Namaari.

"Can we change the subject, please?" asked Raph not wanting to talk about him.

Raya and Namaari were confused by this, but decided to put it aside seeing that it was too personal a matter.

"By the way, where's Mikey?" asked Donnie.

"I think he's still on his morning walk." said Casey.

Just then, everyone began to hear a couple of chuckles from the distance.

"Are you serious?"

"As I tell you."

"That voice… It's Mikey." said April.

"And it sounds like he's coming with someone." said Leo before he and the others in the NY group took off towards the source, leaving the two girls behind.

"That other voice… Is it…?" asked Namaari.

"If it is, we'd better go." said Raya before the two girls followed the NY group.

By the time the NY group reached the palace entrance, they saw Mikey laughing along with a woman with messy hair.

"HAHA. I can't believe your brother is afraid of a simple, little, defenseless cockroach." said the woman.

"Well, he is. When we confronted that mutant cockroach, Raph was screaming 'I'm sorry! I learned a very important lesson, I'll never be cruel again, just leave me alone!' Then I came up behind him and said 'On one condition. Be good to Michelangelo! Let him read your comics once in a while.'" said Mikey.

"Mikey!" shouted Raph from a distance.

"Yeah, that's what he said afterwards." said Mikey before startling when he saw his brothers and friends standing in front of him and the woman.

"Can you tell what you're doing?" asked Raph.

"Oh, he's the brute, angry brother who thinks with his fists?" asked the woman, causing Raph to glare angrily at his brother who smiled nervously. "And you must be the rest of his brothers and friends." said the woman before walking over to them and shaking each of their hands. "Mikey has told me about you and it's a pleasure to meet such great people like you."

"Heh. Thanks. We try to keep it that way." said Casey.

"I'm wondering what he told you about us." said Donnie.

"Uh, excuse me, but… who are you?" asked Leo.

"Oh, pff. Silly me. I forgot to introduce myself. I'm…" began the woman.

"Sisu!"

Everyone looked in the same direction to see Raya and Namaari arriving on the scene.

"Raya! Namaari!" shouted the woman, recognized as Sisu, before running up to them and sharing a hug.

"What are you doing here?" asked Raya.

"I wanted to give you a surprise and here it is. Surprise! I would have come earlier, but I ran into that funny guy and got a little entertained." said Sisu pointing a thumb at Mikey.

"Wait, is it that you know each other?" asked April.

"You could say so." said Namaari.

"Is it that you haven't told her?" asked Raya to the woman.

"Well, one thing led to another and I forgot." said Sisu with a nervous smile.

"Tell us what? Who the hell is this girl?" asked Raph.

"You'll find out soon enough." said Raya.

It was then that Sisu was covered in a bright flash and when it dissipated, she revealed herself to be an elongated-bodied dragon with a mane and a horn.

Needless to say, the NY group was in complete shock at this.

"Guys, please tell me you're seeing the same thing I'm seeing." said Casey.

"That… That's a… a… a…?" asked Donnie.

"YOU'RE A DRAGON?!" asked Mikey.

"Surprise. Again." said Sisu.

"Wait a minute, Sisu? You're Sisu, the dragon who wiped out the first wave of Druun?" asked Leo.

"The one who died and was resurrected?" asked April.

"Yes and yes. In the flesh, folks." said Sisu.

"Why didn't you say she could become human?" asked Raph.

"You didn't ask." said Raya with a small smile.

"Why didn't you tell me you were a dragon?" asked Mikey.

"Well, I wanted to, but I was so excited about the whole otherworldly mutant ninja thing that I forgot to mention it. I hope you don't get angry about it." said Sisu.

"Angry? I'm excited! If I didn't like you before, I like you 10 times better now!" said Mikey.

"Ha. I knew you were a great guy. High five, buddy." said Sisu extending her paw which Mikey bumped with his hand.

"I didn't know dragons could transform into humans." said Donnie.

"They can't. Every dragon has its own natural talent." said Sisu.

"And yours is to transform into a human?" asked Casey.

"No. Mine is that I'm a good swimmer." said Sisu.

"That's it? What good is that if there's no water involved?" asked Raph.

"Actually, we once had use for that ability." said Raya remembering when she had to flee by boat and thanks to Sisu, they were able to travel at full speed.

"So how come you have two abilities?" asked April.

"I guess Raya told you about the whole Dragon Gem and Druun thing, right?" asked Sisu receiving a nod from the others. "Well, since the Dragon Gem was created from the magic of my siblings, when I came in contact with the shards, I gained the powers of my siblings, the power to transform being one of them."

"And what were the others?" asked Leo.

"The glow." began Sisu making her body glow for a moment. "The mist." said Sisu expelling some mist from her body. "And finally…" said Sisu as it started to rain a little outside the palace. "Rain."

"Wow, dudette. You have a mind-blowing mix of powers." said Mikey.

"I'll say. With those powers, you could beat a lot of bad guys." said Casey.

"Oh, thanks, guys." said Sisu.

"I can't believe I'm standing in front of a real dragon. It's almost like a dream." began April resting her hand on Sisu's skin. "And you're so soft."

"Thank you, I'll be sure to take care of him." said Sisu.

"You are a true wonder of nature. Oh, I have so many questions to ask." said Donnie.

"I'll be happy to answer them. As long as I can understand them. Mikey has told me that you tend to be too much of a brainiac." said Sisu.

Donnie looked at his brother with a frown as April tried to contain her laughter.

"Well, what do you think?" asked Raya to Leo.

"I may not have seen many dragons, but I can say it's pretty peculiar. In a good way." said Leo.

"I know and she's a great friend too." said Raya.

"I just know Mikey can be a bad influence on her." said Raph.

"Funny. I kinda think so too." said Namaari before the four shared a light chuckle before joining in with the others.

For the rest of the day, the entire group was having fun with their new dragon friend.

That same night, the torches of the palace and some huts were the only illumination in the whole kingdom except for the moonlight.

Raya was walking through the corridors of the palace while letting out a yawn, as she was tired after a whole day with the turtles and Sisu, who decided to spend the night there.

She was heading to her room when she suddenly saw Namaari looking out the window towards the outside, towards the night scenery.

"Namaari?" asked Raya, catching her attention as she approached her. "What are you doing here?"

"Oh, I was just… looking at the stars." said Namaari.

Raya looked at her for a few seconds before putting her hands on her hips.

"Okay, what's really wrong with you?" asked Raya.

Namaari sighed seeing that she couldn't fool her.

"It's… because of the guys and me too." said Namaari.

"What?" asked Raya confused.

"I just don't understand. I told them what I did, what I caused and still they treat me like nothing happened. They should at least be a little suspicious of me." said Namaari with a lowered gaze.

It was then that she felt a hand on hers and looked up to see Raya with a smile.

"Listen. I understand that you still feel guilty about it, but you can't let that mark you forever. It's true that what you did deserves the hatred of many, but you aren't someone who deserves that hatred. Now I no longer consider you as that person who betrayed me soon after we met, I consider you as a very special friend." said Raya.

Namaari couldn't help but smile at her friend's words.

The two of them stared at each other mutually.

It seemed like something was about to happen between them when…

"Am I interrupting something?"

Both girls were startled with a scream as they looked to the side to see Leo beside them.

"Leo, don't ever do that again!" said Raya.

"You almost gave me a heart attack." said Namaari.

"Sorry, it's part of my training to approach people without warning." said Leo.

"How much… How much have you heard?" asked Namaari.

"Enough to tell you that you're right. You did some pretty horrible things. Things that would make us look at you in a very bad way." began Leo making Namaari feel bad. "But… the others trusted you enough to give you their last will to save them all and you returned that trust, which saved everyone. That just goes to show that you really are a good person and you can't let some past mistakes mark your life. As my master would say, you are who you choose to be, not your actions or what others say."

That made Namaari feel much better while Raya smiled at that.

"Thank you, Leo. That helps me a lot." said Namaari.

"That's what friends are for." said Leo.

"You know? You spoke as if you knew the subject." said Raya.

"Well, I've made mistakes too, just like my brothers. Not to mention I know someone who went through a situation similar to yours." said Leo.

"Really? Who?" asked Namaari.

Leo was about to say something when suddenly he started to feel something and looked around.

"What's wrong, Leo?" asked Raya.

"Shh." said Leo shushing her. "I hear something weird." said Leo before focusing. "This way." said Leo going one way, with Raya and Namaari following behind him.

"Can you tell us what's going on?" asked Raya.

"Another thing Splinter taught us was to hear the sounds around us no matter how low they sound and just now I heard something weird." said Leo.

"What was it that you heard?" asked Namaari.

"It sounded almost… like a hiss and a flute." said Leo.

A FEW MINUTES AGO

In a hallway of the palace, a floor tile suddenly lifted up and moved aside to clear a hole just enough for a snake to pass through.

The snake slithered outward, and when it was completely out, the tile slid back into place, as if nothing had happened.

Beneath the floor, there was a sort of subway tunnel and there lay a member of Jaws.

"Now, my dear pet, fulfill your mission." said the member before starting to play a flute.

That caused the snake to start slithering along the floor towards some nearby doors.

It looked around until it found a small hole through which it slithered, managing to enter the room on the other side of the doors.

That room was none other than a room with a huge bed and sleeping in it was Virana sleeping peacefully, without noticing that the snake was slithering towards her bed, he climbed on it and continued slithering until it was on top of her and close to her head.

The snake raised its head and opened its mouth, revealing sharp fangs.

It was about to launch its deadly attack when suddenly the doors to the room were flung open by Leo with Raya and Namaari behind him.

Despite this, the snake continued with its task, but before it could do so, Leo threw a shuriken at it that decapitated it quickly and cleanly, causing the head and body to fall on the bed.

At that moment, Virana was jolted awake by the noise.

"What? What happened?" asked Virana.

"Mother!" exclaimed Namaari with concern as she ran to her and hugged her. "Are you all right?"

"I am, but what happened?" asked Virana.

"Someone wanted to send you a little gift." said Leo lifting up the snake's severed head.

"I recognize that snake. It's one of the deadliest in the kingdom. They are only found in the deepest parts of Fang territory." said Raya.

"There is no way such a creature could have come to this place without someone knowing about it." said Virana.

"I don't think it came on its own. I think someone left it here and I also think we all know who did it." said Leo.

"Jaw, but I don't understand why they would go after chief Virana when, in the beginning, they came after me." said Raya.

"Maybe after two failures, they decided to change strategy and it seems that this time they opted to kill the chief and then, surely, take advantage of the chaos to seize power." said Leo.

"Those wretches. It's one thing to try to kill my friend or me as well, but trying to kill my mother is something I won't tolerate." said Namaari.

"Neither will I. This has gone too far. We have been treating Jaw as a minor threat, but now they have proven to be a real threat." said Virana.

"In that case, we must finish them off and gladly, the others and I will help you." said Leo.

"Thank you, Leo, but I think we are going to need more help for this mission and I already know who to turn to." said Raya.
