Does anyone have a comprehensive Worm timeline? It's been 6 years since I've read the original work, and I only got back into the fandom due to fics so my memory is spotty at best. Although, please remember that this story doesn't follow the original timeline exactly. There will be big and little changes, some of them are even quite major.

Also, I'm a Beta Reader now! If you've got a story that you want my help on, just pm me (As well as how exactly I do this, it's still a little confusing).

Valka knocked on a door that seemed to have just sprouted out of a wall, no actual indications of it being an actual entrance. She then stepped back and stuffed her hands into her coat pockets whilst waiting for the door to be answered. Taylor stood behind her to the side, arms folded and tapping her foot.

2 and a bit months of training had passed, and Taylor now shadowed her former self. Physically powerful, confident, and honestly quite sassy. Her father blamed Valka's influence for that last one.

They had commissioned the rogue, Parian, a month ago with the details of Taylor's costume. She had given her price and deadline, which happened to be that day.

A metal slit opened in the door; the light still too dark to see anything behind it. Valka gave a terse nod, which made the slit close back up before the door was opened by a girl in a Victorian dress and porcelain mask.

"Hello again, Parian," Valka greeted. "You said that our order was ready?"

"Yes, thank you again for showing me NCT, I'm sure that a lot of people would love to have their costumes made in it," Parian replied. "Are you sure I can't offer you any discount for it?"

Before Taylor could turn down the offer, Valka beat her to it with a dismissive wave of her hand. "Thank you, but no. it's good enough that you completed it on the deadline." Valka smiled, which Taylor could honestly just tell, even though both of their plain white masks. "Do you mind if we see it?"

"Of course," Parian agreed, turning around and leading the two further into her shop. Upon reaching the lounge that Taylor had been in before for measurements, Parian stopped. "Just wait here a sec whilst I go get it."

Taylor and Valka took that as the cue to sit down on the two sofas that were littered in the room. Parian disappeared through a doorway, only to reappear a minute later with a bundle of black fabric that had lines of reflective neon orange and a reflective glass gasmask on top of it.

"Here we go," Parian said, handing Taylor the outfit, "Exactly what you asked for. There are fitting rooms just over there if you wanted to try it on." Parian gestured to a series of curtained doorways. Nodding, Taylor stood up and moved to the first door, the idle chatter between Parian and her mentor start-up as they waited for her to get redressed.

'Wow,' Taylor thought as she unfurled the outfit, 'This is really great…'

A minute later, Taylor stepped out again, now dressed in the freshly crafted outfit from Parian. A steady clap from Valka applauded her entrance.

"Looking good kid," Valka nodded, "Exactly like you envisioned it."

"Thanks," Taylor said before turning to Parian. "And thank you for making it."

"Again, for what you introduced me to, it was more than fine." Parian waved it off.

"Well anyway," Valka interjected, taking an envelope out of her parka, "Here's what we owe you after the upfront payment." Valka passed the item to Parian who, begrudgingly, accepted all of it. "Again, thank you for your time Parian. We'll be on our way."

A banging sounded on the door.

"…and out of the way of your next customers."

Taylor could sense that Parian had shifted into a state of discomfort. Something wasn't right. She looked to Valka to confirm her suspicions, and saw, despite the mask, that her mentor agreed.

Parian was the first to leave the lounge, making her way down the hallway to the entrance of her store. Valka pushed herself off the sofa, motioning to Taylor follow her, which the young immortal did.

At the door, Parian quietly slid the viewport open just a smidge, only enough to spy who was outside. Parian sighed in exasperation. "Great it some gangers."

"ABB or E88?" Taylor asked.

"Neither," Parian answered, "It's just some minor gang that hangs around here. I can't really fight them off, so I've tried staying pretty well-hidden from the lot of them."

Taylor looked to Valka, who gave a nod.

"Sorry in advance for the door." Taylor apologized as she flared her powers.

"What are you..." Parian began before seeing Taylor's flaming skull head, offering no resistance when she was pushed behind Taylor, who lifted her right leg up.

*BASH!*

And kicked at the metal door, causing it to fly off its hinges and peg one of the gangers, slamming the into the opposite wall. The rest of the seven remaining men stopped and stared at the door and their fallen comrade, and being too distracted to notice, Taylor slid in and sweep the legs of another man. Whilst he was still spinning in the air, Taylor quickly jumped up and delivered a spinning kick to the man, sending him to join his buddy as a crumpled heap at the opposite wall.

"Fucking... get her!" another ganger cried hoarsely, pointing at Taylor.

"No way man, are you stupid?! That's a cape!" yet another screamed.

A third screamed when Taylor suddenly appeared in front of him, delivering a dozen punches in the span of a second to the man's torso, and allowing him to fall over unconscious, due to having all the air pushed out of his lungs.

"Shite!" the ganger who ordered their attack swore as Taylor kicked off the ground and somersaulted through the air, extending her leg partway through, and slamming her heel down on the third man.

When Taylor turned around to finish off the second half, she found that Valka had already taken care of the four other four gangers.

"Well, Parian," Valka said to the rogue who stood, a little dumbstruck, at the doorway, "I believe that it is time for us to depart. Thank you for all that you've done for us."

"Wait!" Parian called as the two immortals began leaving, pausing to look back "I never got your cape names." Both simply stared at Parian. "Oh, come on. I can tell that you're going to be heroes. Or at least something that puts you in the spotlight."

Valka looked at Taylor, who had shifted back to normal, and then back to Parian. "Well, I not, but my student here on the other hand..." Valka gestured to Taylor.

Taylor thought for a moment before deciding on one of the names that she had brainstormed.

"Styx. That name's Styx." Taylor declared.

Parian nodded. "Well, Styx, my door is always open. Especially to someone who just saved my ass."

"Thanks, Parian," Taylor told her. She waved goodbye as she followed Valka out of the alleyway and to her motorcycle.

"Well, my little apprentice," Valka spoke as she revved the engine once they had both sat down, "I believe that you are finally ready to around and start kicking names and taking ass."

"Uh, Valka, it's 'kicking ass and taking names'." Valka corrected.

"...it's a reference, Taylor. Don't you watch movies from Aleph?"

"I do!"

"Then how do you not know about... hang on, what year was this again?"

"2011?"

"Oh, you'll have to wait eight more years to get that one then."

"Is this the thing where different realities move on a different axis of time?"

"Pretty much yeah. I'll try and explain this on the way home. So, do you remember the film 'Iron man' that came out back in 2008?"

"The tinker guy who makes a flying power suit? Yeah."

"Constants your world is lame with its categorization... Yeah, well anyway, next year Marvel releases a film called avengers, it's pretty much one big crossover of a bunch of different Marvel characters. It's a huge hit, the make a bunch of sequels and branching movies in the same cinematic universe and such..."

Taylor continued to listen to her mentor for the whole drive home, but one thought still floated on the top of her mind.

'I'm going to be a hero...'

Gimme dem comments.
